Once the van was turned snd parked A very quiet road to cross. Initially we started looking too close to the creek. Although the blackberries are not that much better there anyway. Prickled enough we called it and we're leaving when a sliver of road further back was spotted. Into the blackberries where the cache was quickly spotted. Not loving my shorts decision right now!! Glad it was spotted. Quite a nice spot. We're heading to King Island, via Mallacoota and lakes entrance towards Melbourne. An atlas mapping challenge directing our way towards our waiting plane. Flinders Island, some mainland Tassie, before our target, King Island... our last cachable LGA in Australia!Having been caching for years on our LGAs, sacada and myself teamed up six months ago to tackle the hard ones, then as it happened, all of those that remained. We now are making our way to the last, Flinders for sacada, then King for us both. It has been quite a journey!

22-Nov-24
Off to Tasmania to get Flinders Island LGA and finally the last LGA for AU at King Island. TFTC.A detour trip towards Melbourne to collect all the Victoria Atlas pages for a challenge.Today was Canberra to Bombala to Cann River and then camping on the beach at Mallacoota.First, turn the caravan around.Second, get on the right side of the creek.Third & fourth, get down and search the wrong blackberry rocks.Fifth, get back up and down into the right section of blackberry rocks.

A little overgrown with blackberries but still managed to find it! Thanks!

26-Dec-23
With time up our sleeve on our way home from a weekend exploring Cambera, we decided to revisit this one, which we had as a dnf. Shorts were definitely not the ideal clothing to do battle with the blackberry, but this time came away with the cache tftc

25-Dec-23
Found It!Spotted this one after a bit of searching around. Looks like its going to get overrun by blackberries soon. The next visitor may need to bring some pruning shears!TFTC

Sadly a dnf from us today

24-Apr-23
After 3 days wandering South East Forests National Park hunting with NSW parks we stopped here for lunch on the final day. I couldn't resist crossing the creek to make the find, even with the fierce blackberries. Managed to drag along an experienced muggle and one of the parks staff who was super keen . One to remember. Tftc

Staying in Bombala for a few days, we couldn’t ignore the invoices data on this cache so took a drive.

Pretty creek next to a ghost forest. I wish it was blackberry season, we could have had a feast here !

Found at 11:02 AM GAFF1.
Heading east now on our loop and immediately the cache container type has changed Big Grin And it is in a more difficult location that took a bit of figuring out - do we approach from the bottom and go up or visa versa? Well we did it the easy way [^]

Today I made my way from near Orbost to Thredbo, picking up a few selected caches along the way. The main objective today was to find caches in each of the LGA’s and the road atlas map pages that I was near.

This was another quick park and grab as I made my way up the hills.

Thanks Jump Pilot for the cache.

I was travelling along this road on my way back from an event in Melbourne, and stopped here when I saw that this cache was nearby. A quiet spot to stop the car, but I wouldn't say that this is a quick park and grab. I read the hint, but unfortunately there are numerous places which match it. So I started my search on one side, but after 10 minutes, still no cache in sight. Then read through some previous logs, and there was one which stood out. So I crossed to the other side (fortunately no traffic crossing as well) and started my search there. Bingo - I spotted another likely hide and this one turned out to be the correct one. Signed the log and replaced it all as found. Then it was back in the car to continue on with my journey north. TFTC Big Grin

We soon homed in on Ground Zero and a short while later the cache was found. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

On a trip to drop off Christmas presents to the NSW family, and to see our new great granddaughter and now the long trip home. This cache provided a perfect excuse to travel slowly and grab a cache or two. A little bit of logic and good co-ords had a quick find. Thanks Jump Pilot

This took a bit of searching, as I began to search in the wrong place. Then I spotted where the hint meant and made the find. Cache and log are good. TFTC Jump Pilot.

We had a little difficulty locating the right road. As we were approaching fromthe west our first approach found us 135m from the cache with a river/creek between us and the cache

We made our way back to the main road and found a sealed side roas a further 600m down the highway. This road took us close to the hide. Our first approach from this spot found us again on the wrong side of the river.

Our next approach meant a small walk along the road, a climb over the barrier and a short rock scramble. All OK except for the fullen laden logtrucks that roared down the road at speed.

Once at the right level, dont go too low, the hide was spotted. Container and contents were in good condition and we were pleased to see that the cache had received a second visit today.

Thanks for this cache Jump Pilot. This is certainly a nice spot marred only by the log trucks speeding by.

#7718 - 11:25; Day one of a trip through eastern Victoria with Sol de lune to build on our July trip further to the west. Decided to pop in and grab this one on the way past, but then it started to rain! Probably best to park and walk over to grab this one, but Sdl dropped me right there and went to turn around. Made the find and signed the log, but as Sdl was slowing to collect me, a rather large log truck appeared and he had to keep moving. Made it back to the geomobile after getting a bit damp and hoping the rain would stop before we did again Wink TFTC Jump Pilot Smile

Heading to Victoria for a 3 day road caching trip with LuckyL10n and this was our first stop. No real problems grabbing the cache, but the rain made for a bit of fun....but then I was driving, so I stayed dry....

Thanks to Jump Pilot for the cache and LL for getting out in the rain.

I sought out some geocaches while on a six-day trip with others from Pedal Power in Canberra to East Gippsland to ride the East Gippsland Railtrail. I found 32 caches plus I collected two travel bugs to share the journey. The weather was fine and mild, the scenery delightful and the company pleasant, making for a great trip.
This cache was a reasonably straightforward find, being on the coordinates. Thank you Jump Pilot for installing and maintaining this cache.

The long weekend was here and it was time for fitzy_1965 and I to head down to Vic in the geo-unit for an epic geomission Cool We had a great time camping, cruising around admiring the beautiful scenery and nabbing LOTS of caches! A great weekend of quality caching all round! Smile

After exiting the geo-unit, off we went to check this one out. I saw a huge and majestic water dragon at this spot and it was a quick find of the cache here as well Cool[^]

Thanks for the hide, Jump Pilot Cool

14667. Found during a long weekend caching run down through the Bombala / Genoa / Mallacoota / Cann River / Orbost / Lakes Entrance / Bairnsdale regions with specimenX.

A long weekend caching plan was hatched with specimenX to head down to Victoria for 4 days of caching and camping. Had a fantastic time driving around enjoying the scenery, camping at various locations, plus the huge number of caches to be found. After leaving Canberra at a respectful time this was our next stop for the day. After a nice short walk in to a lovely looking spot, this one was a nice quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.

Thanks to all the COs for placing their caches !!

Parked on the Monaro and crossed a very rickety bridge to find another tar road. Had forgotten that the highway to hell for forests of the east looped around. Quick find. Doubt the cache would survive a flood event. Tftc tnln

Having driven to Cann River to meet the in-laws and collect some things, the return trip allowed some time for caching.

Fifth cache for the trip and this is a nice little area although I wasn't sure I would be able to turn around with the trailer on (I didn't have a problem in the end). i approached this one from the wrong side but fortunately the flow was down and once across the cache presented itself nice an quickly. Found on our trip down to Lakes Entrance, on the now infamous day where our Western Bulldogs qualified for the AFL Grand Final for the third time in their history! We quickly detoured off the main road to visit this very nicely tucked away rest stop. After scrambling up and down the rocks while dodging traffic, the cache was found. Lovely location! TNLNSL. We had to head down to Cann River to drop off a friend who had been caring for our German Shepherd for 3 weeks after his back surgery. So we took took advantage of the drive and collected some caches along the way and back again.

Lovely drive down to this area, the weather was lovely, although we did strike some fog in Nimatabel which felt a bit odd. But the sun continued to shine all day for us.

This is a nice spot off the beaten track. We parked and went for a little walk down by the water, we split up and seached on both sides, soon coming up with the goods.
