10 September 2024This is find number: 10381Streak Day: 3190Found Today with Snoopy1976, a quick and easy find, spotted it as we got out of the car. ThanksThanks to Dragons2010 for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
Streak Day #4079 - Out this way with Dave8153 for our cache of the day, stopped by for a quick find. TFTC
Today fitzy_1965 and I headed north to collect a birthday present.Whilst in the area we couldn't resist a bit of caching on such a glorious winters day.All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.
Found with minniek during a short meander around the Camden region. It was a lovely if a bit chilly Sunday, and we headed up to Tahmoor to pick up a birthday present (the dreaded 'Birthday Week' is looming). Once that was ticked off we did a drive around the area cherry-picking a few caches we haven't found on previous trips. This was the next find of the day for me, and it was a quick find once at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next cache on our list. Thanks Dragons2010 !!
Good spot. Couldn't find the old one but I did find the new one. I got a couple scratches on my arms trying to get to it.
Visited this area with goingplaces2 to gather some more caches to add to the tally. Easy find, but a bit scratchy. TFTC.
A drive south with ilook4geo was organised to collect some caches for the day. We have been caching around this area for quite a while and we were happy to find enough caches, even though it was hot. This one was a quick find after reading the hint and the log was soon signed and replaced as found. Thanks go to Dragons2010 for placing a cache here.
A geocheck found that parts of an earlier missing container are somehow wedged nearby, the correct one is silver in color, hint changed slightly, good to go
Found It!
Another quick find. Looks like there's been a lot of water through here recently.

Perfectly picturesque country side, thank you/ saw a family of parrots too. King parrots? Maybe. And man the creeks are as serious as the hills around here aren’t they
Found this with Iamawaterfairy, the GPS was jumping around a bit but we soon made the sneaky find. The creek was flowing nicely on this hot summery day TFTC
Back to The Dilly with frazeydaze to hunt down some unfound caches in the area.
Enjoyed reading The Oaks history and TFTC.

Out caching with oldmorty finding a few caches in the Wollondilly Shire.
I was looking in there, looking for something at head height.
Oldmorty spotted it at knee height. We replaced the cache as found.
Thanks to Dragons2010 for the cache.

No luck here, at least at head height in what seemed the obvious place for a bison.
Headed out for a days caching with my fellow Gong gangster buddies.
We targeted many of the caches around the Warragamba area which involved many solved puzzles.
We had great success for the day, thanks to all CO’s for your hides and thanks to my caching buddies for a great day

Finally found it after a few attempts. Lovely quiet spot just a few cows mooing nearby field . I assume the water came up a bit here as the cache was slightly damp . I dried it and all good . Thanks for bringing me here , nice sound of the creek running by . TFTC Dragons2010
Thankfully didn't have to go looking in the river. The cache is definately there and in the end pretty obvious. Thanks Dragons
A geocheck carried out revealed cache is still in place, however log was a bit wet. Replaced cached and log with a new clue , following March rains,.Same coords, slightly different position, good to go.
Out with Littl3Vix on an adventure around, because who doesn't love driving around here? Littl3Vix pointed this out so we headed on over, enjoying the views as we drove to GZ. We had a search around all the obvious spots and Littl3Vix made a quick find after expanding our search. Thanks for bringing us here!
Cruising through the area with Mizcupcake having a lovely day and saw this cache just off the main road that needed a find. Heading over and parking the geomobile just off the road, we jumped out to make the search. After a couple of minutes I started to wonder off our initial search area and lo and behold, turned to find the cache staring right at me. We grabbed it and completed signing duties and replaced ot. Enjoying the view and watching a couple of small planes come in to land before we made our way off. TFTC!
A nice quick park and grab. The gurgle of the nearby creek was mesmerising! Tftc!
Found it! We were searching as a family and our 4 year old found it!
Good one, thanks.
Good one, thanks.
Surprisingly original geocache has disappeared. A new log and container now on sight. Good to go
A random check while going by, as 2 recent DNF,s , found the cache and log in good condition, with cammo also in good condition,
Couldn't locate it. Nothing was leading me onto the cache. Checked both sides of the bridge as thoroughly as I could. Will return again soon.
Had a DNF on my FTF attempt a couple of years ago.
From memory, I was searching on the wrong side of the bridge.
Better luck today.

**Cache Condition:** Cache good.

Came with *DustyJapserJet* and *Little Kitten* who decided to have a blew over finding the cache Seriously !?! *DustyJapserJet* didn't like the wombat poo, but it was rather endearing watching the shuffle as the cache was being retrieved and replaced. Love history so this cache is right up my alley. Thanks for bringing me here to this lovely location.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet*. We have hardly been out over summer as it was just too hot and other things took over our days also. So this was the second day, other than the OZ GeoMuster, that we have had a full day caching when I had decided to begin by cleaning up strays. I had not completed the Burragorang Road series so that was the target and then to swoop on the surrounding area - accomplished. Today began really well but deteriorated by early afternoon. By the time I decided to attempt a first to find on a cache at Leumeah things deteriorated very badly, that was the worst mistake I made and should have kept course to Picton. We didn't end up going for the find. We got home in the dark after a crappy day out. Oh well, can't win them all The weather was fantastic today but as expected turned colder tonight.
15 = 11 2 2 [8)] ½ attempted.

I found this cache with *Throsbyonchurch* and *Little Kitten* but I didn't like the nearby Wombat Poo. Signed log. Thanks for the hide.
While out today with Ellyse04 & Unicorn8 thought we would do the History series. This was not dangerous at all but girls had fit when I asked them to pick up the cache.TFTC
Out and about with Happy Uke and our good friend Blueandgolder to day to try and catch up on some caches that need to be reported. So there was no time to waste and we all got busy doing what we do best.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Finally organised a caching day with Blueandgolder... and with Finalf29 driving the geomobile... we were a formidable team. Even with some DNF's, we all up found twenty eight. Fantastic day, wonderful company and great caches.
This was the second for the day. Ha ha ha! Last time we tried this one at dusk... quicker find today. Geocaching has definitely helped my phobias. Thanks

Second attempt at this, the first time I was looking in the wrong spot and thinking something else was dangerous, I broadened my search area and found the unusual cache and then the clue made sense.
Another hunting success with PotgieterE, but only found it on our 2nd attempt. The hint made more sense once we found it. Very cool!

Bikerbuddy remembered this location but thought the cache was in the other side of the bridge when he was here. I spotted the camp first, and gave it a poke with my pen before picking it up, to make sure it was safe.
Thanks
After walking around the area for a while, saw something that caught my eye. It wasnt that, but next to it. Tftc
With my 50km radius slowly being cleared, I spent the day tackling some of the most northern hides. I managed to hit double digits, which will start becoming a rare phenomenon unless I travel further afield! Thanks to the Cache Owners for the caches I found today.
Second of the day. The cache was easily located after a bit of common sense and spotting the cache camouflage. Quick sign and replace - on to the next. Thanks!

#4193 (8 of 8 today)
My caching these last few days really hasn't been a lot of fun. My DNFs have outnumbered my finds, I've sliced myself on broken glass... Not fun.
So decided to head south today where hopefully I can make a few finds without too much angst. Left a lot later than I wanted - fun with Geokid #2 came first. So decided on a loop around Oakdale and The Oaks.
In the end I had eight finds in as many attempts, including two previous DNFs. All quick finds - much better day!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Finished with this previous DNF (went past another nearby but it was muggle city).
Got to GZ and started in the spot I thought most likely after my last visit.
And there it was. Quick and easy.
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Top day - thanks to all the COs.

The Geowife is amusing herself today, so I decided to binge on caches. Decided to head towards Oakville and The Oaks to try to grab a swathe of caches. Got 15, but interestingly the closer I got to The Oaks the more the the DNFs piled up.
Closing in on 4000 finds. Time to pick a target, but not today...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Not for me today.
Checked the logical spots. Found a green button magnet, but nothing else. Lots of fence line checked. Still nothing.
Probably in the inch or two I skipped unknowingly.

Last cache for the day as it is getting too hot. An imposing structure for such a small creek. TFTC.
On a little caching tour this Sunday afternoon from Picton to Burragorang lookout. Quit warm weather, but still nice for caching. All but one caches found and traveled home very content! Thanks for putting out all these caches.

Last time we were looking for this, the floods had just been through, today, it has been moved and an easy find.
If it wasnt for the hint I would of been walking in circles...actually I was til I read the hint
TFTC!!!
TFTC!!!
The hint was very useful for this drive by. Ticking off caches around the Oaks thanks to rassilon256. TFTC
llama_boy and I continued our trip from Currans Hill to Warragamba by stopping off for a few caches in The Oaks. My confidence in llama_boy was justified with this cache found in moments. Onwards to lunch!
Log replaced as was wet, now added cover, but is tight fit. Was last placed in correct position
This cache may need a checkup. We found it on the ground behind the building with a wet log sheet. Put it on top of the object referred to in the hint, but not sure if this is where it was originally. Interesting history to the area and another nice peaceful spot in this mini geo-tour. Thanks Dragons2010.
Clue narrowed down the search to only one possible location but still needed a little assistance to reach my confirmed suspicion. Terrain rating should be higher if in fact cache is where the CO intended. Interesting graffiti nearby???
Geo-gangstas found this as Dwight Shrute and myself were far too busy laughing at the amusing graffiti catchphrase nearby. TFTC!
This was one of those times where I approach GZ and tell myself "that's where it would be," but I trust the GPS and walk back and forth for a few minutes, then realise it's in that first spot. TFTC
This is my third attempt to find this one, the first we couldn't make the find as there were muggles fixing the fences at the farm gate, so thought it best to come back another day, the second time was after the floods so when we couldn't find it assumed that the flood waters got it, so today we made the find. Log was a bit damp. Good hide TFTC
#3743- Out on a days caching with thomo31- Another of the caches she had already done- I availed myself of her help to reach this one though. It was great meeting you today at History of Cobbitty. Nice chat and thanks for your Oaks caches we did today- thoroughly enjoyable.
Found after an arvo at footy. Co-ords a where out by six or seven meters. Hint was spot on TFYTC
Glad to finally make a find on this! I've come down here a few times and had to leave because of muggles working nearby. It's been washed away in a flood, it's been muggled, and today my GPS said it was somewhere it couldn't be. Thankfully a quick scan of the area pointed me to the right location. A good simple solution to securing the hide. I still wish I'd found the original hide though.
