Not a genre that I'm that familiar with but a bit of research did the job. Thanks gecko1968.
A caching trip to Canberra with JohnMawbs to attend a few events, and pick up a couple of caches in the area. The weather was cool, but excellent for caching.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, gecko1968, for us and others to find.
Day #1 of 2 - With a free weekend and three geocaching events in Canberra, I decided on heading over for an overnight stay. I also asked if The Drovers wanted to tag along and the answer was yes. So we headed over Saturday morning and met up for Bfast at Gold Creek Maccas. Afterwards, we found a trail of caches, [somewhat] leading towards the first event of the day. Todays event was a CITO. I always love a good CITO and this one was no different. Lots of rubbish collected, all talk Geo was had and even a cache found. Next we headed off and found caches around the suburb of Hawker which was not far from the CITO location. Amongst the cache finds, we had KFC for lunch. Then we headed over to the motel to check in. Once that was done, we headed off and found some caches around Queanbeyan before getting dinner and some sleep before tomorrows adventures.Day #2 of 2 - Today there are two events but before that there was caching to do. We went and found several caches around the suburb of Yarralumla. Some easy and others harder to find. They were a mixture of different cache types/containers/hides which added to the fun of the day. Then it was time for the first of the two events. I was very surprised. It was a great organised event to teach everyone about rope activities. We even had a got to have a go. Thanks so much. Once the event was over, we headed off to the nearby Oporto for lunch. After lunch, The Drovers and I parted ways. So now by myself, I headed up the hill to the Arboretum to find some more caches and ALs before heading to the next event. At the second event now, I was one of the first there and I also one of the first to do the rope climb. This time the trees was taller and I got to the top in which was described as, in record time. Anyway, it was great fun and an awesome idea for an event. I hope you continue these instructional types of events in the future. Then it was time to head home. At about the halfway mark I made a quick and easy final find for the weekend.Unless otherwise stated, the caches we found over the weekend, were quick & easy finds and were in good condition. It was a great weekend away and a big thanks to The Drovers for tagging along. Most caches were signed as JM to save room on the logsheet/book. TB visit. Of course a big thanks also goes to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTEs & TFTCs!
Nice solve and a quick find but took a bit to open with no lip left on the lid. Found a useful edge in my pocket which helped. Tftc
That was quite an adventure.
I had solved the puzzle quite a while ago. Living with people of a certain age had helped with the concept and a couple of the answers.
This evening I had dinner with friends at the Southern Cross Club in Jamison, so I thought, I would get a cache "nearby" afterwards. I had packed my torch and had a vague idea which cache I was going to go for. I had these solved coordinates on my map for quite a while, but had not totally worked out where to park.
With less traffic at 10 pm I could envisage a safe parking situation. So I parked the car and went off following my compass. Found a great area for GZ, disturbed a few Butterflies in their night slumber, saw a rat run across a horizontal branch ... but, alas, no cache. I checked the photos and logs and then shot a message off to a couple of friends to compare coords.
They had the same... (or so I thought)
From the photos and what they said I didn't feel like I was in the right place.
Then one of them noticed that I had mistyped one of the minutes. Well - that put GZ a couple of kilometres away from where I was. I jumped back in the car and then had to drive around two suburbs to get to GZ, because I wasn't allowed (and able) to turn right aka towards GZ.
[EDIT: Looking at my notes I noticed that I had found two different values for one of the things and chosen the wrong one to calculate GZ.]
I worked out another safe parking space and I SWEAR as I drove up to the footpath that would lead to GZ, I saw red eye shine and a shadowy outline - Hound of the Baskerville like - on said footpath.
I parked car and with some trepidation walked the last 99 m to the cache. I did not encounter the Hound of the Baskervilles, nor any other 4-legged being whilst searching for the cache.
In the end the coordinates where spot on. The cache was found, the logbook signed, the inside of the baggy and the cache dried out and all returned to its hiding place.
By this time my torch was on its last legs and had just enough juice to get me back to my car (still no hounds, wolves or even a possum).

Tackling this puzzle took us back about 5-10 years into high school, where the game that forms the theme for this cache provided a welcome distraction. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
After solving the puzzle and checking (and re-checking) our coords multiple times, we made our way to GZ (with the help of the previous finder) and soon had extracted the hide. No muggles around today thankfully. TFTC.

Cache is alive and well in good order - see photo of log.
Yesterday I searched for this cache but only found rubbish around GZ. I think that the previous 'finder' (or non finder) probably got the answers I did with the checksums matching up correctly but for the WRONG GZ. I too found only rubbish - maybe we both used the wrong editions or websites from which we extracted the required data.
So, last night I reached out to the previous finder showing them my GZ coordinates. As it turned our my coordinates were out by 47m - so, so close but still far away. And to think I had also ridden a couple of meters past the cache.
Quick and easy find today in my COVID 5km zone cycling masked for 14.63km in less than an hour on my eBike. Fantastic fun with so few cars on the road. Just a shame that a few people were not wearing their masks but great that the vast majority were covered. TFTC gecko1968.

Container is gone. Just a pile with part of the lid. And a very well weathered log book remaining. Definitely needs maintained. I tried to protect what remains the best I could with what I found nearby.

An easy solve at home by the eldest GeoKid who understands these sorts of things, then picked up while in the area today. I parked in a nearby back street and made the short walk into GZ where the cache was found without issue and in good, dry condition. Thank you!
I desperately wanted a mystery today for my unknown calendar. I drove within 15ms of GZ and searched and searched for over 40 minutes but it was getting dark so I was wsndering back towards the car when I happened to kick a squashed plastic bottle and lo and behold I found the remains of your cache. It looks like it truly needs to be revisited. I didn't attempt to write on the soggy mess of a log so took a photo instead. TFTC
One of the harder parts for this cache was finding a safe place to park. Maps wanted me to park on William Hovell, but I ignored that and backtracked into some suburban streets nearby.
Parked in one of the places and walked along the path to the zone. A nice quick find and just had to wait for some passing walkers before replacing to its hide. Cheers.

Yay!!! Avenged this one with GLISS! Today after having to leave a friend last visit. Still took us AGES to find the sneaky little thing today as coords had us checking multiple possible GZs. Great to finally have this one in the bag. I enjoyed the solve. Thanks for the cache!
Avenging a dnf. It still took quite some time to find the container so it is great to get a smiley on this one. TFTC.
Found today on a short walk.

A very thorougher search with Gliss! Today but we came up empty handed. Will have to rally some troupes and come back another time for a search. For now we need to find a daily so off we go!
Out for unusually early cache with Gliss! Sunshine and warm weather - such a surprise! Loved this puzzle -right up my ally and achievable to solve! A fav from me. Cache was full of water and moss, so we weren’t able to sign, but Gliss! Will attach a photo. thanks for the cache!
I'd solved this one some time ago and today I went for the find. I arrived at GZ and quickly spotted the remains of the cache. I found the log book and left my mark however most of the previous sigs have washed away. I gathered the bits together and tied them with some string that was lying around. I placed this bundle under a squashed plastic bottle to help keep it dry until the CO can do maintenance. This lot was placed where I found the remains of the lid. Now that I've come to log my find I noticed that previous finders have mentioned the sad state of this one. TFTC.
Found on a wonderful day of caching to take a break from intense exam study. Solved this a while back - as a long fan of the game, even as an adult, it was a highly engaging puzzle! Parked where I parked when getting the original cache however on approach, the experience was a little different. Unfortunately, I found the cache contents scattered all around GZ. A broken lid on the ground. A ripped logbook. The rubber from an apparent Sistema on the ground. Some toys. Not looking good - will post some photos on my needs maintenance log! Regardless, TFTC gecko1968!
Attached are some photos of the damage mentioned in my found log. This one definately needs maintenance, unfortunately.
Out for the second day of our Canberra blitz picking up puzzle caches that have been worked out for quite some time - some of them so long ago they've even been forgotten by this time. Anyway, this go around we flitted from suburb to suburb picking up park 'n grabs (or very nearly so) clustered around the northern end of the ACT. By no means a power trail as most were scattered here and there higgledy piggledy which turned into a slow moving day in terms of overall numbers but we were thorough and painstaking enough so that at the end of the long day we still managed to scratch our way past the sixty-cache threshold, which was about ten better than we'd hoped to do. A few finds turned out more challenging than we wanted but overall everything was found in short order and without major difficulty. Well done to the CO's on that score. Apologies for the copy n' paste logs - most puzzles deserve a few more words than this - but gathering in a couple hundred puzzles in a short span of time amounts very much to binging the area leaving little time to reflect on what brought us here. Not to worry, tho, everything has been well worth the effort, and will bring us back several more days before we're done. TFTC.
I can't find the "needs maintenance" option. Anyway, please note that the lid on this container is broken, and its contents are going to get wet next time there is serious rainfall. We might have replaced it ourselves but didn't have a spare with us.
Another day spent ticking off solved Mystery caches in Canberra with 154Crows. It's been very rewarding to convert hours of puzzle solving into finds. This time around, we tackled the NW section of the ACT. Again, we had another big day - 61 Mystery caches (10% of remaining) with 0 DNF's!! Thanks to all CO's for their puzzles and hides (apologies for the generic logs).
The lid was a little cracked, but the cache was still in good condition. TFTC

Had a good search but didn't find anything. Sigh. Thought I had that right. Tftc
I searched everywhere for this one! I'd better double check my coords. I eill try again.
I had solved this with some satisfaction coords. Or so I though apparently I was close but no fruit at hand. Read some logs and tried to see if pictures where any help. Ut not really While I did a desperate TAF I followed some description and my made the find some 50m from where I had calculated. I was happy to tell the friend that all was good and I had found it witb the help of her log. These riddles are harder that they look but there is nothing for it need to clean out the close by suburbs.
Thank you gecko1968 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
Thank you gecko1968 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
Pleased to solve the first of the series. It all makes sense now. Log is wet but managed to scrawl PJB and date. TFTC.
My children played this game endlessly! My initial coords took me to the wrong place. Went home and realised I made two errors. Cache easily found this morning and intact - although exposed. Tftc!
Not a good start to the day with my second DNF in a row. But I had time so I sat down and confirmed my answers, which were fine with the exception of 1 ambiguity. I plotted an alternate set of coordinates for checking later and fired off a text to a friend to see what they got. Seems I needed flowing lava, not still lava. A checker on the cache page would be helpful.
Found at 2:58:00 PM
Having confirmed what type of lava I was needing I headed here on the way home. Cache was out in the open and quite wet.
Thanks gecko1968

I am vaguely aware of what this puzzle refers to and relied on a bit of Googling and a PAF to solve.
Made a quick stop for this one on the way home after a lovely walk with the Ridgeo-pup along the horse trail in MacGregor. Thanks for the cache, gecko1968!

10504 and 3rd of 9 found today.
I remember coming out here to do the first incarnation. This time I had more troubles with one of the numbers so with three options the one that was closest to the original won.
And was right thankfully.
Thanks for the cache gecko1968 and the carnation.

I still had the solution for this one after finding the original years ago, TFTC!
Last year myself and sacada found this cache while it was archived after a nearby event ontop of the Mount Painter. So we signed the log and added a found it log since the cache was still in place!
After we had found the cache, only a few days later the owner had revived the cache as he realised the container and puzzle are still in perfect condition so it would be a waste not too!
So this cache is kind of a 2 in 1! I didn't even have to solve the puzzle again and I had the coords sitting safely in my phone.
It took me ages to come back and revisit, but I remembered the hide well and it was found in no time
Thanks for the revived version!

Had the puzzle solved some time ago but haven't been over this way until today. There were no spiders in the way - previous finders must have helped with that lol. All in good order. TFTC
Aquilus1 and I had both worked this one out separately, but both got the same coords. Aquilus1 still gets most of the credit though. It was almost a "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Outa Here" episode! First Aquilus1 walks into a massive web with one HUGE spider! Knocking most of the web down (but not the spider who sat at the top of his web in anger) and entered the Spider Room. There were spiders EVERYWHERE! I sat outside wearing my girly pants up high around my waist in shame while Aquilus1 soon had the cih. The only way out was back the way Aquilus1 came. Every other exit point was a wall of five-six spiders and their webby walls. Mr Anger had moved to the bottom of his broken home ready to pounce on Aquilus1, who was just about to attempt a quick getaway when Mr Angry dropped straight to the ground! Aghhhh! After scanning the ground with our torches and thinking all was clear, Aquilus1 made the dash to safety. One gold star (smiley) won. Tftc!!!
Working this out and finding the cache worked out to be a whole lot easier than getting to the cache. All was well until I walked smack into a gigantic spider Web with my face. The large resident spider wasn't to keen and hurried up to the top. Now that I was no longer looking at my feet while walking, turns out there are a lot of spiders in their webs here! Dty73 bravely stayed put outside the spiders area and did a smashing job of supervising the spider while I got to go under the remains of the Web and spider in search of the cache. Once the signing duties where complete on leaving found the spider was now at the bottom waiting for my return! Took a bit but finally got past safely for us both and glad to be away from the spiders. Thanks for the cache and a bit of night time caching 'fun'!
Another nice sunny day and I was in the mood for some caching-so off I went for a mid afternoon mini mission!
Solved this one a little while ago-I've done several of these particular themed puzzles so it was an easy solve [^]
Swung by this one to kick things off and it was an easy find after strolling up from the car. Luckily they've mowed the grass around here-some of it is taller than I am!

I wasn't going to go caching today, but after spending the morning solving this series, I just had to go out and get them. I attempted to solve some during the week, but none satisfied the geochecker. This morning I rechecked the 4 I'd attempted and completed the other 2. I managed to get 3 to succeed. This one didn't have a checker and another (based on the logs) was probably right, so I assumed the last one may also be right, after checking and rechecking my answers. I pleased to discover I had this one right. TFTC.

We had planned a nice long day of caching today, but after doing a few "mop up" finds on the way, decided that were feeling a bit too lazy, so only knocked over 6 on our list before heading back home to our pyjamas and movies!
This one has been on our list for a while. We had the wrong coords a few months ago, so played around with them again (tried a different name, since some of them vary, depending on where you look!) and came up with a set of numbers that looked ok. At GZ it didn't take long to find - another one to cross off our "To Find" list! Took nothing, left some goodies. Thanks for the cache!

Second time is a charm, that is the saying! And so it was with this one. I did not have the solved Coords to hand, so had to solve again, and was pleased when the Coords landed me approximately where I remembered finding the first iteration.
Wandered to GZ with HappyUke and Finalf and made the quick find, right where I remembered it to be.

'Twas at the end of a Blitz of a nearby hill and I figured I would tick this one off as I looped home in the cold, dark and windy way home. I sat for a little while to admire the situation and based on my previous Mining the Answers cache's, deduced the preferred style of container and hiding spot. I replaced as I found it and hopefully the next finder will find it just as dry. I was impressed at the hide as despite the 110 mm in the last few days, it was bone dry. I really enjoyed solving these riddles with my kids as they appreciate knowing something parents don't know! I was stoked with this find as it was 7/7 in one and half hours. TFTC
888. The last cache for the day. After reading previous logs and figuring out what happened, I dug around looking for the previous coordinates, thankfully I still had them, which made the whole experience very easy!
At GZ the cache was sitting by itself in the middle of a grassy spot, again very easy! Found the likely hidey-hole and in hindsight I think an animal may have spat the cache out!

Had a little bit of cabin fever going on after spending some time coming to terms with some family things. So this afternoon myself and one party of the FFLL clan went for a short caching mini mission. I grabbed 10 caches when the FFLL clan got 5 new ones to put smilies on.
Helps that I still had the workings for the original one of this saved on my PC so it made for short work on adding corrected coordinates in for this one. While in the are today, we swung past to place our names in this log book also.

It is interesting to see this one come up again, but as the answer had not changed I put it on the list to do and today was able to drive up to it and collectis again.

Ah - certainly a feeling of Déjà vu here! - Just glad I still had the solution to this tucked away deep in my GSAK! A nice little walk - but the funny thing was, I did look in the wrong spot first! Thanks for reviving G68!
Nothing like getting two smilies for the price of one puzzle cache. A quick find under a gorgeous clear starry sky. Thanks again gecko1968 for the rebirth.
10656. Found after soccer in the area this afternoon with GSC2000 and Stardust2410.
I saw this one revived and was happy as I remembered where GZ was. It also seems that Stardust2410 was there when it was revived - how handy for us ! So after the last soccer game for the day we drove down about 100m from GZ and walked in for a quick find. Signed, returned, and we headed off home for dinner !
Thanks gecko1968 ! Favourite Point for topping up the series again !

#4309 - 16:50; Caught up with Sol de lune earlier in the day and mentioned this series as a possibility for an afternoon run and a plan was hatched to do the new Strathnairn series. Once the series was completed, I mentioned this cache as a possibility on the way home. I'd seen it published almost a week earlier and after checking my workings on its predecessor, was happy I had it sorted. We dropped by today and remarkably for a Canberra cache, found a blank log after six days! Wow! Happy to claim a joint *FTF* with Sdl. TFTC gecko1968
Grabbed with LuckyL10n on the way home from another series. Found the cache where we thought it would be and signed the blank logbook........so, a *FTF* for us.
Thanks Gecko......is the previous version really locked? I wouldn't have thought that would be the case unless you specifically asked for that to be done. Anyway, cache is there and ready for others to find.

Is there a clean log for everyone to go sign again?
