New coords checked on a cloudy day, will again check on a sunny day. Cache still there.
No find.Substantial tree foliage has been cut away and dumped at the GZ.Cache perhaps impacted??
Visited this area with goingplaces2 to gather some more caches to add to the tally. Easy find when looking from the right direction. TFTC.
A drive south with ilook4geo was organised to collect some caches for the day. We have been caching around this area for quite a while and we were happy to find enough caches, even though it was hot. This one was a quick find in its new place and the log was soon signed and replaced as found. Thanks go to Dragons2010 for placing a cache here.

Spent some time earlier to do a bunch of maintenance while the Geomissus is away with her mother visiting our daughter interstate, and then head out for a small bunch of almost local hides which I’ve been attempting to get to for some time. But I’m still a little time restricted so have to choose my targets wisely. Had a few fails previous to coming into The Oaks History series, so hoping for a bit more luck this time.
Apologies to the CO for the slow logging, but it’s been a hectic few weeks
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
First stop for the series, and parked on the side of the road. The grass on the verge was quite long and thick, but the base seemed solid enough. I exited the GeoSuzi once the sudden traffic surge passed, and crossed the road closer to the GZ. Initially I was somewhat put off by the nearby caravan on the property nearby, but on closer inspection, it seemed to be unoccupied.
I had read a couple of logs, but nothing seemed particularly helpful there, and there were numerous geotrails, most of which had me barking up the wrong tree. After several circuits, I was beginning to think yet another DNF! Although I do have lots of finds, I do believe that I’m really not very good at this pastime, but after persisting I was eventually able to track down something that I thought may have been deposited by a satin bower bird rather than a bellbird! Performed the relevant duties and returned to my transport. Nice view from here around the shrubbery. Now to just chuck a uey without getting stuck

30,032. Found during an invasion of the 'Bargo up to Penrith' region on the Canberra Day long weekend with a great bunch of Cachers.
With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny, Nibbletricecakes, GLISS!, Contesta, EverestHigh and myself. After half the group did a nearby 2001 Multi, we all caught up and hit the trail for many many caches. This was the next CDI23 find. Nice little mini-series and a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks Dragons2010 !!

Canberra Day long weekend.... what's better than going away and caching with friends.
We had quite a group come up for one, two, three, or four days: barb2e, Nibbletricecakes, Kittykatch, albida33, fitzy_1965, Joolay, MinnieK, Contesta and Smittengranny and also EverestHigh, who caught up with us after the first few caches on the day.
We signed as CDI23 (Canberra Day Invasion 2023)
It was nice to explore a region I had only sped through before.

Found with the Canberra group and signed as CDI 23 for Canberra Day Invasion. On the list of caches to do on Sat and the group included Kittykatch, Joolay, isopeda, Contesta, Albida33, Smittengranny, GLISS!, nibbletricecakes, fitzy_1965 and MinnieK. Tftc
Fitzy_1965 & I headed to the Picton region today with a bunch of friends from Canberra for our Canberra Day long weekend invasion (the joys of living in NSW but working in ACT for me). All caches were signed as CDI23.
We had a fun day finding, trads, puzzles & multis and a few AL's for good measure. We ended up at dinner at a great Thai restaurant after the event in Picton itself.

With a long weekend in Canberra who can resist getting away! Joined a great bunch on friends to tackle a bit of the Picton area. The day included a big investment of time in an oldie (lots of fun) and then lots of caching in the region. A really delightful day trip with barb2e, Kittykatch, isopeda, albida33, fitzy_1965, Minniek, joolay, Smittengranny, contesta, EverestHigh and GLISS! Signed most of the caches as CDI - for Canberra Day Invasion. Thanks to all the cache owners for the fun!
Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 2. Today the trip got underway with the team caching. I sat out the walk to 'More', which I had done many years ago and joined up after a late morning break. The group was made up of Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Isopeda, Smitten Granny, Contesta, Gliss! and Nibletricecakes. EverestHigh joined a little later on. We had a huge list of caches to do and we got underway on a warming day. As things looked to be running out of time we changed to the end of the list to get to the Dam for a virtual and then cached out way back to Picton to get to the event and a chance to meet some locals and others caching in the area today. Dinner was a great local Picton Thai restaurant followed by finishing Lab caches before I headed back to Bargo for the night.
As we headed back to Picton we stopped for as many roadside caches as we could, pleas a bit of a lap of the two small towns we passed through.
Thanks for the cache Dragons2010

Seeing the string of DNFs I didn't bother to stop. It is only marked 1.5D and that's a lot of DNFs for that low rating.
After 2 dnf’s an exercise trip has confirmed cache is still in place in the same spot ,still good to go
On my way through the area after seeing family and decided to go see what was down this road. A lonely little cache that was tucked away in a secluded area of the oaks. I made my way over and found a spot for the geomobile. Proceeding over in the darkness, it was a shame I was missing the views as I could see a thing. Zeroing in on gz, it took a little bit of time to find this one. Always tricky when finding something like this at night in these type of areas. After moving around a bit of growth I soon spotted this one and completed signing duties. TFTC1
A short detour while in the area today tackling a "new" adventure lab. No problems making the find once my phone's GPS settled.
Thanks for the hide dragons2010.

Just catching up on logs. Saw it out of the corner of my eye, a cute little hide. TFTC!
I came here once before on my own but had a little geo anxiety searching for this one - I always get a little nervy with caches that are close to property. However, back here today with TanCan20 and GGCoconut I felt more relaxed. I was in the right area but just couldn't spot the tricky little thing! It was TanCan20's eagle eyes which finally locked in on the well placed cache. Certainly is a very serene location with a lovely view! Tftc!
Finally catching up on my logs! Out for my daily cache today and was very happy for a quick find here despite this being my nemesis hide lol thank you for the cache! And thank you for showing me this location! What a view!
Out for a day of caching with Geofam. on a nice sunny Sunday. Took a good 5 mins to find this one. Found by Geowife when she turned around facing the right way and there it was. Nice hide. TFTC.
Thought we’d take a Sunday drive to The Oaks. Number 3 find for the day with lots of muggles around. Found with Gundrills, KnightJR and Panda_Girl65 (signed G, K, M & P). TFTC
A check found that cache is still in place , and is on the roadside of fence, so no permission required. A new log is now in, good to go.
No luck today...had been a while and one of us copped a large spike in the foot...home to dig it out :/
Streak Day #2327 - Quick find with Dave8153, however felt really awkward here being on someones driveway. Hope permission from people that live here was sought out. TFTC

Thank you Sensible Sis who assisted me with this. It took me 4 visits before I found it.
Got questioned by the lady who lived in the property why we were loitering around her house. Very hard to find. Had no luck
Too close to private property. Owners confronted us. We explained but we left shortly after with no findings.
Had a DNF on this a couple of years ago. Better luck today, didn't take too long to spot it.

Such a beautiful area and I totally enjoyed the bellbirds tunes as I was searching for the cache. The gps was playing hardball so this made my job harder than it had to be. Great view from the little that could be seen. SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet*. We have hardly been out over summer as it was just too hot and other things took over our days also. So this was the first day, apart from the OZ GeoMuster, that we have had a full day caching and I decided to begin by cleaning up strays. I had not completed the Burragorang Road series so that was the target and then to swoop on the surrounding area - accomplished. I am very pleased with our amazing results today, and all were found. We got home in the dark after a fantastic day out. The weather was fantastic and tonight the weather was balmy albeit for the wind.
25 = 23 0 2 [8)] not attempted.

Found with nissan 65 on a day trip caching. Beautiful day off work. Thankyou for the cache .
#4791 (7 of 10 today)
Decided to hit the Camden area today as I was after a few calendar day finds.
Well... Probably one of my least favourite caching days... While I made ten relatively quick finds (including two reboots of prior finds and a previous DNF) I also failed to find six (one only being a drive by thanks to muggle city, but the other five taking far too long)!
And one of my finds was of a cache trashed by muggles... Very sad.
Still, it is a beautiful area to cache in, so not all bad I suppose, but I was more than ready to head home when I did.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
After being muggled out I came here...
Started in a logical spot but saw nothing. Then started spreading out.
Took about 15 minutes before I spotted the blighter... right next to the spot I started my search. Sigh.
Completed signing duties and replaced.
And like other I felt like I was trespassing even though I was on the street side of the fence.

Pulled up to GZ and got of the car, immediately heard the bell birds, they have a very nice chirp about them, GPS took awhile to settle and when it did a quick find. The whole time I felt like a trespasser. Nice view.
Found the cache lying on the ground. Returned it to a likely location. Bellbirds were in good song. TFTC
Second attempt and found it straight away. Don’t know how we missed it yesterday. Nice one!

This took a bit of searching to find, then once I had it spotted, a bit of careful manoeuvring to retrieve without spiky injury.
I think at the moment the cache he cache should be renamed Glendiver Cicardas, since they are drowning out any chance of hearing the bellbirds!
Thanks

Since the wind had finally died down and the glorious sun was shining, a caching raid of The Oaks area was organised. Great caches and fantastic company. Finalf29 and I ended up finding twenty in the afternoon.
This was our last for the arvo. The sun was setting fast... I just happened to be at right angle to spot this one for a quick find. Thanks
