Long morning walk following the Bulimba Bikeway Bison Bash. 18 new caches found despite some caches inaccessible because of muggles and one because of a snake. Many thanks to all the COs for populating this area. Greetings from France
Quick find of a whimsical cache on a morning walk. beardman75 thanks for the cache and
After being interrupted yesterday out this way I headed back to finish the couple I had my eye on. 3 out of 4 foundWasnt sure what I would be up against with the terrain but all easy hereThanks
Yes, it IS cactus...T3 would b because of frequent H2o inundation, I imagine & T4TC:-)
Beardman75 I found your cache It's Cactus on 1/2/2024, 12:15pm. This is my find 6377 and find # 4 today. Found the sneaky cache after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After a nearby event, we tackled the Bulimba bike track and came across this area for the first time. Oh no, our first try was a miss earlier, as we deemed this spot too wet to go further in.But later on approaching other caches nearby, and paddles everywhere, our socks and shoes were getting wet.So we returned a second time, and after a long search, we found the cute cache and signed the log. A fav point worth!Tftc Beardman75
I headed out in the geo-bike for a few caches today Duppers. We decided to hit a few of the BBBBs.I found your cache, It's Cactus today. This is my 2621 find. This one made for a quick find. Signed as ShaDup.Beardman75, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
4 of 53 today.Shazzar66 & I spent Australia Day riding the Bulimba Creek Bikeway. We rode 42 Km's today, looking for caches. It was overcast, hot and humid, but we had a successful day.We started at Wynnum Road and turned around at Broadwater Road. Our strategy was generally to stick with the BBBB series, unless a cache was on the Bikeway and even then some we decided to bypass. The plan was to find more than our previous daily record of 51 caches. We didn't leapfrog, but did each cache together. We've ticked off a whole pile of caches today, with only 2 DNF's.Logs were signed ShaDup.My apologies for the generic logThanks, Beardman75, for the cache.
Out and about with geo friends and TBU1Bikesu for more smileys. Tftc Beardman75
TFTC smile 17452 out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few local caches after the Event today with geofriends now this proved to be a spike in the butt we were here earlier untill a phone call have you got your fishing pole of cause so of we go to help .Job done so back to Cactus amost ready to leave after a good 30 minutes best check that tree shoes are already wet so through the water and there it was ,,, yes Thank you Beardman75 for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Found the little hideThe drizzle didn't keep me awayFinding through the bush
Originally overshot the correct GZ as my arrow pointed a little further away. The Marble stopped to check out something as it fit the clue and son had her hand on the cache. Thanks Beardman75
Headed a short distance into the bush towards GZ and using the clue it didnt take too long to find a cache . All good. TFTC
A quick find today while caching in the area. This really is BM75 territory!
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Tried to get this one done quickly but I don’t think I gave myself enough time. TFTC anyway. Will be back.
I was out today with the main aim of picking up a particular cache to finish off qualification for a challenge cache I was hoping to complete. Before heading out this morning I quickly put together a list of other caches I could visit in the area, including this one.
Followed the easy track heading closer to GZ then ducked off into the scrub to begin the hunt. Zeroed in on a likely spot and found the cache safely tucked away. There was an old, full logbook wedged in the bottom of the cache container, so after signing the current one, I removed the old and put everything back into position. TFTC

Having found a couple of caches, and one DNF in the Minippi wetlands park, I was keen to find another one or two before heading back home.
From the airfield, I made my way to the start of this bike track, and headed along the trail for a couple of hundred metres. There was no one else around here today.
When about 25m out, I ventured into the bush, but it was not long before I spied a nicely themed container.
The log sheet was easily extracted and was all dry, thanks to the gel pack. Name signed and cache returned.
An easy one to finish up my visit to the wetlands.
Thanks very much for the cache Beardman75. Cheers

This morning, I took baby Warren on an outdoor walk in Murarrie Road Bushland to complete half of the *Harry Potter* geocache series. An interesting and forgotten bushland next to Ingham's, and it was a hot Summer day with minimal shade along the tracks. We subsequently made a stop at Minnippi Parklands to use that playground and take another short walk, before returning home for the day.
After playing in the nearby playground, we repositioned the vehicle, and took a short loop north of Tingalpa Model Aero Club, walking back along the bike track.
I deviated from the bike/walking track to make a search at this one, and I think I took the coordinates too literally, as I was searching around for 5-10 minutes trying to find the hinted item. Eventually, I searched a little further away thinking more about the cache name, which then lead me to make the find about 10 m away at S 27° 28.625' E 153° 06.796'. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Beardman75 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Raining today so bit of a mission trudging through the forest but all is well found the case and lockdown name thanks so much for placing and for ongoing maintenance on this one
After finding the Tingalpa Pioneers multi, I did a circuit walk back to my car in Container St via this pathway and stopped off to find this cache. I could see where the floodwaters had been and was wondering if the cache was still ok. Luckily the ground had dried out and I headed through itchy grass to GZ where I found the cache quickly. Thank goodness for that as the mozzies were pretty ferocious. There were a few logs in a plastic bag which were quite wet though the newest one wasn't too bad being on waterproof paper. I was able to sign it and put it in a new separate bag to keep it protected from the saturated logs. Tftc
I am spending the Christmas break with family in Brisbane and as I had a bit of free time, I decided that I should grab a cache or two. This was my first for the day. After a nice stroll in on the track, the cache was a quick and easy find. TFTC
Finally managed a visit to QLD after 2 years of planning and 6 lockdowns. New LGA's for me and fav caches were the main caches of focus.
Found a path with less spiders and soon located the host and cache.
Thanks to Beardman75 for the placement and fun.

Out with Muggle65 today. Strolling along the track we were lucky enough to see a koala at eye level. He was quite curious when it was just me, but took one look at Matty and ran up the tree. Great experience. Thank you so much for bringing us here
After getting my Pfizer jab today I had to grab a cache. I need this one for my D/T grid. Log signed and replace. (Log was full, left new log behind).
Then home I went to see how I recovered from the jab.

After dropping geokid Jess at work & I came south to collect more finds. OMG I’ve only ever seen 1 koala before on the GC cachingtoday we saw (see image). Cache in good condition and seems even when not caching with Briswe appear consecutively in the log
Out for some after school geocaching, the geokids enjoyed a little scoot here, around from the nearby cache ‘Rosy Outlook’ we found earlier.
The mozzies heard us coming as we approached Ground Zero. Ferocious!
Another great little themed cache container.
Thanks For The Cache! #313

Heading out of this area, we could still hear the planes in the distance when we arrived at GZ. A lovely walk in on a beautiful bike path. We found the container safe and well, and added our name to the logbook.
Thanks Beardman75

Work is getting in the way of my caching so I only have time to grab a couple today. That was handy as I need to keep my cache a day and trad a day challenges alive. A drive over the bridge after work to grab these 2, a short walk across the field found me walking into the bush in search of rosy. It was then a short walk through the bush to grab this one. Didn’t really expect to find a cactus out here but I did. log was nice and dry; I signed the log and replaced as found. I decided to take the long way back and followed the path.
With light fading it was time to head home, thank you for placing this one here.

Jumped off the busy path when no one was around.
We wandered along the geo trail and came to the interesting trees. A quick spot once at GZ.

Our last cache for the day. I’m glad we moved the car for this one,
This was a quick trip down the path,
Dodging cyclists on our way.

It looks like the inner container has gone missing but the log is fine in the outer container for now. I will have to source a replacement
After failing to find the nearby multi we thought we’d crash the Minnippi Parklands... found with PirateLinda, Giraffe18 and 2manytrailers... there is no lid on the cache so we put the logs into a snap lock bag and added some silica.... tftc...
How many cachers does it take to find... thanks to Peppa, Giraffe18, 2manytrailers plus friends and geopuppy Luna.
Great walk to the cache. Lovely day too. Really happy to out today. Cool container! Container is missing a bottom and has exposed the log to the weather causing much of the ink from non waterproof pens to run off. Lot holding up very well though!
Got there, it was relatively quick find although the waterproof paper was full and my pen wouldn't work on it anyway and the piece of paper that was in there was wet so I have taken a photo rather than writing in the cash today

The grass was dry today, so I ploughed through the jungle to GZ, and was rewarded by a prickly cache container. Carefully added to the log. TFTC, Beardman75
I came looking early this morning, but long grass wet from overnight rain would have made my work clothes look dreadful, so I decided to postpone this one for another day.
I needed to find a traditional cache for a challenge cache of finding a traditional cache for every day of the year which I hope to finish at the end of this month. I also felt like a bike ride so I found 3 around this park. This was my first and the grass was a little long here so I carefully made my way to gz where I spotted this cache quickishly. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Grabbed this one today on the way home from an awesome day of geocaching. Nice easy find and cool cache container. I have a cactus garden at home, so this was right up my alley! Cache is in good condition, and helps me fill in a missing hole in my DT matrix.
The walk to GZ was nice and relaxing - plenty of shade, animals and greenery. I'm sure there is a shorter path to GZ than the one we took, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
TFTC - quick TB visit while I'm here.

Poor plant was missing his top and a full log but JACS had some spare ! Last little bush bash for the day! Tftc
Had to drive right past this point on the way home. With the smells of bitumen floating in the air, my companions and I went rough, straight into the bush. Cactus was found and cache logged. Managed to pick up a few Beardman75 caches today.
This particular cache has a nice little green highlight on it (cutesy of a CACHLY feature)! Green means that it’s a desired cache for me. A quick park near the drains and a wander down the path to claim the cactus The log was full, however I had a pocket full of replacement logs in various widths, so I chose an appropriate one put mine and my companions name and wrapped it up with the original and replaced it.
Was over the evil side of town this morning so had a look at my target list to see if anything was nearby. This was! Not sure why I have it targeted - must fill some obscure statistic for me. Anyway, after focusing on the wrong area for a while, the cache was found after a bit of expanded searching. TFTC!
Found on a Sunday morning stroll with youngest geoboy. Beautiful day. Got to see some planes flying too

On the bike again, parked nearby and set off on this good path.
Felt good to sign the last log for the day, maybe, at least for this trip and return the aircon comfort
Liked the container!
Thank you for hiding

After a night on the Peroni’s and Shiraz with our geoJedis 4ando, it came as no surprise that the world seemed to be ending when the alarm went off. I had a mission planned with my son and I expected he wouldn’t even be out of bed but when I stumbled down to his room, blurry-eyed, he was there with the same set of fuzzy eyes. Looks like we are doing this.
We grabbed some early morning hash browns and coffee and drove over the Gateway to kick off our caching day. Being an apprentice sparky he can tell the time by when the sun comes up and can tell when he is going to be late for work. I might have to buy him a watch for his birthday. The sun was just starting to poke through as we pulled up to go on the hunt.
We trundled down the path in semi-darkness and we looked for the best access point but all we saw was long grass and it was wet with dew. Looks like we are getting wet backsides on the first cache of the day. The grass wasn’t scary because we couldn’t see where we were going but somewhere walking in my feet hit some soggy ground. Looks like I’m getting muddy as well.
I stood on a log submerged in the grass to get to GZ and of course it crumbled under my feet and over I went. Wet, muddy, scratched and embarrassed - a cracking start to the day. tftc

So I was getting bitten by mozzies and trying not to think about how rapey Minninipi can be. Or that deer roam the parklands. Hubby, geokid were keen but two of us were in skirts and sandals so we abandoned the search when we saw we had to go 20 metres into this. But that's on me not Beardman!
We are here on holiday but due to youngest son not feeling the best I ended up spending the day at home with him while the others went out shopping.
Everyone was home so I suggested to husband that we go find a cache. Brother in law and niece decided to come along and find out what it was all about.
The ground was rather wet and no one else was willing to leave the path so it was all up to me. Coordinates were good and cache was an easy find once I got close enough. I walked nearly all the way back to show them the cache container as I thought it was a good one.
Thanks for the cache, it will help me towards a challenge cache near home.

As we had headed off early this morning to make a few grabs, we had left the house with no breakfast and we were starting to get hungry on our way to this cache. So we had a pitstop of quiches and coffees so we wouldn’t die of starvation out on the caching trail.
Thankfully the only people we came across in here we had already passed, so no one saw us slinking off into the bushes. We had a little chuckle when arriving at GZ, yes it certainly is cactus! At first we only came across a bit of wire dangling and we thought that this couldn’t be good. But with a bit more searching we found what we were after. The cache was a little wet inside, so we tipped it out and dried off.
Time to move to the next cache, but not before we give ourselves a high five for the good luck we have been having this morning…

A bike ride was needed today
So lookout Minippi !! [:o]
I remembered the trails that criss cross this patch of bushland,
And cycling to GZ was easy
Nice and dry in here for a change,
and no chance of mud on the bike
A quick fight with the scenery and this prize cactus was found.

Out to do a challenge today (25 different D/T's) with geofriends. Parked the car and walked to GZ. Looked for a short time and soon found. TFTC
On a mission today with geo friends to complete the Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge (QLD) and didn't take us long to find this cute little cache.

What a lovely walk we enjoyed along the pathway to this cache on a beautiful early spring day. Near to GZ we stepped amongst the flora to search for this cache which we fortunately found quite quickly. Loved it. (I'm just personally wondering why you haven't included a cactus attribute for this cache as it's the only attribute I don't have, lol.) Loved the cache container and it was found in excellent condition. Thanks vennfamily for adding to the enjoyment we experienced today. Cheers and happy caching!
The Geowife and I ducked in here this morning after having a DNF on another cache elsewhere.
A pleasant walk into ground zero where we made an easy find
The log sheet was extracted and dutifully signed and dated.
Everything replaced as found in readiness for the next visiting Geocacher to come and find it for themselves [8d]
Happy to maintain my current daily find streak with this one [^]

4th of the day, OCW ESCR so I could complete my 25d/t in a day and it ended up being 30 d/t in a day. After a lil bit of a walk and bush bash we found this one safe and sound and how cute is the container. On the way out we dropped our pen so if anyone finds it, pick it up and take it on more geo adventures TFTC
A free day today and as I needed a day out, I decided on a long walk from Murrarrie station down to Meadowlands road picking up caches along the way. Another very cool cache. Good place for a quick rest too. TFTC
Out for a maintenance run and coordinate check this morning. All good here. Happy caching!
Last cache find for today while out and about with 1MinnieMoo. After a hop, skip and a jump through the grass we arrived at GZ to find the cute beasty quickly.

After grabbing all the caches on the inner part of the parkland NyssaFlutterby and I drove around and parked nearer to a suitable path for this cache. Ah nice easy paved path, we can do this! Until we got to GZ and looked at each other, with Nyssa asking "where is our nice geotrail?"
Well there's nothing for it we just have to head in and hope for the best. and soon I knew I was in (almost) the right spot. Ah over there! And over I went to find another cute little cache... full of water. Good thing for that write in the rain paper.
Thanks for the cache vennfamily, our final in this area today.

After a good night sleep I’m ready to explore some less urbane caching areas – I spot a nice grouping of caches around the Meadowland picnic area and the Minnippi Parkland and after a quick taxi ride I’m ready for some caching… I’m still very careful of critters due to the attributes on most caches. I ended-up the day with 16 finds and a few DNF, but a very nice day outside.
This one is a bit out of the way of the others, but after a small detour I get to GZ and it’s a quick find.
Thanks for the cache and the very nice day outside

Out on a solo run before catching up with teamdfl later. Last time I was in this area I didn't get to these northern caches, so decided to take a walk around today.
Haha! It is cactus, and it's not cactus But it is cactus after all TFTC, vennfamily.
