After seeing our 2 nd snake in 2 days we were unsure whether to attempt this at all.Braving the bush, making lots of noise, cache was soon found and logged. You can hardly see the snake, because, why get too close, but believe me, it's there
Followed a track no good then headed bush straight at coordinates found tnln tftc
Thanks for the cool toy caches, despite having to bush bash through prickle bushes. TNLN TFTC
This cache needs more people to find it more often to maintain the geotrail! Very scratchy today! Ha ha
Great large cache found as passing through Foul Bay on our way to Marion Bay. Took fish left dog whistle lanyard. Thanks
A big day out with Mattycat, Perfect Di and Jack the monkey, it was nice to see the odd traditional out here amongst the artwork series, found the cache after a little bush bash, nice to correct another in the bucket series of the YP

A fishy sort of caching day where we all went out for some fun on the syp.
We all had a stamp or a pen and whoever found it first stamped or signed for all of us. ...
Signature may be one of our stamps or FMD, froghoppin matty Di, or frogs of mass destruction, friggin mad dudes?
The froghoppin duo, Mattycat Purrfect Di, Jack the Monkey, a ?ig brown snake, a black one, a few shinglebacks, some birdies, skinks, roos, a goat, some sheep, and probably cheered on by some death adders in the bushes.......... all found your caches!
It was nice to find a couple of traditional caches amongst the trail ones.
Always pleased to find one of these beauties, and the bush bash wasn't that far really
And a range of containers, everything from ammo can to test tube, only a couple of those rusty little minty tetanus tins, some berocca tubes but no nanos! Quite a few of the trail ones had gone, like the fish that got away, but some handy tackle supply stores along the way had us rejigging our lines and maintaining said caches ??
All part of the service!
We rocked the syp cache trails and might have broken some personal records. (Including 265 for the day)
All together a fun caching manic monday!
Tftc
Take care out there, have fun in 2023, a cache a day keeps the boredom away ??
--------
Logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids. No apples or other fruit needed ;p
----------
Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

I wasn't sure whether I should continue this cache. Considering there was a big brownie on the road. But the country girl inside me said go for it

After an early start to the day in Edithburgh, we headed out on a coolish day with iluvtrekking to grab some finds in Innes NP and others a bit further afield. Thanks Lib
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We set off early on a cold and cloudy morning with the threat of rain, which fortunately didn't eventuate. We are enjoying the small towns, beaches, cliffs, history and ruins we encounter along the way. a dash to the top warmed us up a bit. Thanks for your cache.

Find #4684 at 11:29.
Took a bit of navigating to find gz, nice big bucket in good condition with a few upset ants.
Day 4 of caching Gone Fishn’ trail on Yorke Peninsula and a few off trail trads today for a bit of variety with Wollaston and Liz&Bruce.
Wearing gloves and gators today even though it’s cloudy today it’s getting warmer and the less tourist friendly wildlife are on the move. Adding to the thrill of finding each cache was the view of perfectly grown cereal crops almost harvest ready forming a tapestry across the hills, some starting to crop with mega harvesters. Along the way are the odd blue tongue lizards, huge centipedes, flighty spiders, horses and alpacas, birds nesting and singing away, the obligatory late afternoon flies, and the biggest beetles, and of course what would a cache day be without upsetting a few ants!
So much effort has gone into setting up these trails, a few caches were tricky to find, some were under bushes that are now trees, some were found in undergrowth that has overwhelmed the hide, some were under rocks when they were hinting a bush post or tree. For the rest, most were easy, some were duplicated and some were missing. We may have added to rock piles making a couple of cairns.
Maintenance was done by replacing full or wet logs and missing or broken containers all completed with CO permission.
Thanks to the many hands and minds taking time to set out hides and showing us your part of the world

TFTC! I read a different story as to the naming of Foul Bay which is when Matthew Flinders was sailing around SA, he tried to moor his ship at Foul Bay and the anchor kept fouling hence Foul Bay.
We have found a number of this series on previous visits to the peninsula so when it showed up on the map we made sure to visit this one first before we started on our targeted caches for the day. TNLN. TFTC.
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Another very hot day and another town area with a large size cache. While doing some geo art series in the area, this cache was put on our list as a short diversion. It was quickly and easily found, signing duties were quickly done and we were on our way again. It is great to find these large size caches and all was good with the container and contents. Thank you to 3LG for placing this cache.
This was another cache that was worth the hunt, along with gongplaces2. All good here and we were soon doing some more hunting. TFTC.
We are in our second week of exploring the Yorke Peninsular and we’re having a great time. It’s a really beautiful location and we are so glad that all the geo trails have forced us to spend so much time here.
A few days ago we started on the geo art trails after spending four busy days traveling down the fishing line and finding all 868 of the hides, today we are continuing with the geo art, but mixing it up with random caches spread across the countryside. The geo art gives us the numbers, but the random caches take us to some lovely out of the way spots. A great combination of the reasons we love caching.
As we travel along these power trails we have discovered that a number of the hides have started to deteriorate. Some of the original containers have become brittle and broken. Where possible we have replaced the containers, but we have started to run out of replacements. I would suggest a run by the CO, or another cacher to replace those we were unable 5o.
Thanks to all the CO’s in the area for all the caches they have developed, put out and maintain for us to find. A mammoth job, well done. We appreciate your efforts.
Use another TOY Run to our tally, and yet again the biggest cache for the day.
Gotta love them!

After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.
We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !
Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .
After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!
The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!
Thanks for your cache- sorry about the generic log. For the EarthCaches and virtuals look out for an email or two shortly.

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.
We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.
Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.
Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.
As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.
We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.
Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!
Cheers

Hi there 3LG.
We found your cache **"T.O.Y. Run : Foul Bay"** at 11:55:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16932).
We cached around JLWE area again today (even though the event is over). We thoroughly enjoyed our trek & ended up finding a variety of hides, types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 3 caches (& DNF'd 0). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

#2480 Not for the first time in this series a big bucket with accurate coords has caused us a bit of grief in locating, but it was like a jungle at gz and it was dark in our defence! We hope the lack of residents in Foul Bay has nothing to do with the name of the town? Not really a name to draw one in TFTC 3LG

This cache was found using a Garmin GPSr, Montana 650t, Oregon 550 or Dakota 20. Waypoints and paperless geocaching downloaded via GSAK 8. One of many large TOY caches found this weekend. I broke a finger nail. No fowl seen today.
We were nearly at the end of the Peninsular when 3LG decided to place this cache.

WOO HOO!! Joint '*FTF* with CP wanderer and Locus Cache at 12:20pm.
As it so happens, CPwanderer and I had been on the Yorke Peninsula about 30 hours before this find as we had been chasing golds from the T.O.Y. Series. When home we saw that a number of new T.O.Y. caches had been published, so after a few phonecalls we crazily decided to lock in another trip! [:o)]
I collected CP at 6am, Locus at 6:40am and then the 3 of us cached all over the YP (from Port Arthur to Edithburgh to Innes National Park to Corny Point and then Ardrossan for dinner and everyone was home by 11pm. It was a long day but we had a ball. We got about 15 golds today.

For me, TOY RUN will always be the MRASA TOY RUN, held in December each year to raise Christmas spirits for disadvantaged children [^] however it seemed we were to be finding caches today that had a similar name and that therefore had me thinking all day of riding my motorbike.
We found my first cache at 7.57am and my last one at 6pm as the very last cache I stopped at was the only DNF for the whole day and since both of my companions had found it only hours before, they now have a smiley there and I don't since the cache was missing
All up I found 17 caches and 15 of those were FTFs
After tea at the Ardrossan Hotel, we drove home at the end of a blustery, cloudy and at times rainy day, having had a wonderful day out with fantastic company [^]
My sincere thanks to my lovely caching companions who provided a fun journey that definitely got me into a different head space for the day [^] In your dreams, GoodLook
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
It was so windy today that Fould Bay smelled quite reasonable
