While checking this today, for the first time we saw buffalo as well! All good.
Having lots of trouble loading caches in this area but the navigation works and is spot on. So much to see at this cache with a variety of animals we are so happy to have stopped here if I knew how to favourite the is would be one of them!!! TFTC!
Took me way longer than it should to find this one but a nice easy find once I did.
Reperio 10:56Today I headed out towards Oberon, and with that came the chance to pick up a few caches, especially some of the TRLT series. Once at GZ, the cache didnt take too long to locate. Nice landscape views from here.Gratias WaywardWomanAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Plenty of all animals of all sorts here in the paddock today.Cool spotThanks for the cache
Horses like my Rio!Camping for a few days at Lake Wallace so decided to pick off a few more of these.Tftc

We are on a cachey 10 day holiday, starting off with 2 nights at Emu Plains to hopefully collect the new GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and some more of the Band caches north of Penrith. Then it’s 5 nights at Oberon to collect some of the many new & old puzzle caches that we have solved around the area, and also hoping to complete the Oberon Adventure Lab. After leaving Oberon we will be visiting Jenolan Caves, for both the caves and the Jenolan EarthCache, then heading to Katoomba for 2 nights to ride the Scenic World attractions (Railway, Cableway, & Skyway) and to do a few caches of various types plus an Adventure Lab. We will end the holiday with a stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs.
Today we will be continuing our travels on some more of "the roads less travelled" to collect some more of the TRLT cache series, and also any other caches we come across along the way, including numerous previously solved puzzle/mystery caches. Yesterday we travelled roads to the South of Oberon, and today we will be travelling North towards O'Connell, Tarana, and Meadow Flat. This was our 18th find of the day (day 7), and 147th find of the holiday.
This was the next one we came to, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The valley views are quite nice from GZ. TFTC WaywardWoman.

Thanks to everyone involved in creating caches and trails for us to enjoy.
Need some caches with alt above 1000m so Oberon is the target.

This was a fairly unimaginative cache but gets points for the bison, camels, buffalos and yaks. Really cool to see these animals in Australia
Found tyftc. this trip for july school holidays in and around Bathurst, following the TRLT today to Oberon and Edith. Find #2136
With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
Thanks for the hide WaywardWoman And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild.
We hit the road early and resisted the urge to stop along way. We decided to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area. We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure.
Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.
Thanks for the hide WaywardWoman and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.

Since regional restrictions for Covid 19 are lifting tomorrow, I am re-enabling all my TRLT caches. Please remember to use sanitizer before and after handing caches and stay safe!
Happy caching.
Happy caching.
Today I planned my adventure tour along the TRLT Trail in Meadow Flat and head south.
On the way I search and find a lot of boxes.
Again and again I am happy about the beautiful landscape and the many animals on the pastures.
Thanks to all owners for this great tour

Day 1 of our roadtrip to Canberra and back, a recreation of one we did 3 years back, to now share with our youngest team member. With the Putty Road closed, we diverted through Sydney traffic (joy) and onto the (smoky) Bells Line of Road to Bathurst, our stop for the night. We managed 18 finds for the day, with just 1 DNF. A good start.
This was quite a nice scenic drive through here, would be even better after some good rains I'm sure. Squeezing off the road onto the shoulder, we started searching, and spotted the cache laying out in the open. We signed and rehid in line with the hint. I wonder if a critter resented the cache in its bed?? TFTC!

O319 and I have headed off for 3 days of caching. Mainly targeting TRLT and "history of" caches. Nice to fix up a previous DNF
Found with sjg66 on a three day TRLT and "History of" blitz. 220 caches over 1100kms. Lots of great scenery, but also lots of dust as it is all so dry out here at the moment. Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining these caches.
Greetings from DARKSIDEDAN.
Today I went on a caching trip with minniek, Cosmanaut97, ALL7 & Aykayem. We managed to get about 165 caches in two days. Your cache was one of the 165 caches that I signed CGG19 as part of our group signature for the five of us in our group. We saw loads of wildlife on our trip including 6 Wombats and loads of Roos. There is nothing more that I enjoy more than finding a cache.
Here is a little about me. At the time of this “Found It” log I have over 6750 finds and 350 Hides. I was the creator of the “Ducky Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Prize in the State Vs State Battle of the Labs during the OzGeoMuster – The Gong 2019. I am the owner of the largest GeoArt Series in the ACT and winner of countless Geocaching Prizes.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
* * * * I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the 20th of April 2019 my average is 110 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 200 words for a long period of time to get my average up. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After more than 5500 aches (which includes all cache finds up and including today I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated. * * * * *

A plan was hatched, for a group of Canberra (and one Goulburn) Geocachers to stay overnight in Bathurst on a Saturday night and cache our way there and back - mainly doing some of The Road Less Travelled series, and anything else interesting that we were near. So, on Friday afternoon All7 and I met up with Cosmonaut97, who drove us out to Goulburn where we stayed the night with MinnieK (thanks for the hospitality), and then DarkSideDan arrived in the morning and we crammed all our gear into the back of the Cosmonaut Geomobile, all 5 of us climbed in, and we embarked upon our adventure - and what a fun weekend we had! Lots of laughs, some interesting terrain to drive through, and a whole lot of cache finds - so, sorry - most of these logs will be rather generic ... (and also rather late, because I am only just catching up with all the logging now - oops)
Logs were signed as CGG19 by at least a couple of people, or possibly CGC19 by me, because that is what I have written in my notebook (except for the first one I signed, which I think I signed GGC19) ... so I guess our group name was Canberra Goulburn Geocachers, or Canberra Goulburn Cachers, or whatever else anyone else signed - lol)
TFTC - I didn't write draft logs for any of these, because it was too difficult to keep up with that as we went ... and with all the caches we found this weekend - in most cases I don't remember which bit of fun was which particular cache. I did write a few words in my note book for some of them, so I will include those below if I did.
(Unfortunately, if I don't just copy and paste the same log for all these, and try to go through my photos or something, or read the listing and get creative, to figure out different things to write, I will never be able to catch up with my logging, and I don't like being behind).
We rocked up for a park and grab

This cache was find #102 of day 1 of our epic geocaching adventure weekend. I had the pleasure of spending time with Darksidedan, ALL7, minniek and AyKayEm. There was four wheel driving involved (it had rained recently), there were some wrong turns (so my reversing skills got a workout) and then there was the general 'we have to get as many caches as possible before finishing each day' mantra going through our heads. Thank you to the COs who have taken the time to initiate this 'road' and to maintain all of the caches. TFTC.
Signed CGG19 with Group.. We enjoy drive everywhere and good Laugh... She is very good drive with 4WD.... thanks
Out caching with Cosmonaut97, ALL7, DARKSIDEDAN & Aykayem with an aim to do as many as we could on TRLT series. Signed logs as CGG19 to save space (Canberra Goulburn Group 2019).
Had a long and tiring day finding everything on our list for the day. Thank you to all CO's for their efforts in placing and maintaining the caches for others to find.
Look forward to continuing the trail when I can.

On my way to Grafton via an inland route as adverse to metro areas. Selected a few caches to break the journey. This was an easy find & parked a bit up the road to stretch the legs. Thanks.
Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching.
Today we journey along the RLT east from Bathurst, commencing at "Bridge".
Well winter must be here. Not much wildlife, very little water flowing, and a nice 19 degrees. Ah. Contentment!

This was our fourth day on this trail, and so first thing this morning we set off to where we had pulled out of the trail yesterday evening. The weather was perfect and once again we found ourselves travelling through some truly beautiful scenic countryside on interesting roads. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero, where we saw small ponies and unusual looking cows that looked like Asian Water Buffalo. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Nice hide, so many for this series! Thank you WaywardWoman! : ) Sorry for the generic logs... do so appreciate the hides! : )
Pastoral wildlife surely doesn't include domesticated animals
So ignoring the horses and sheep,
there were just the birds left

Spending a couple of days in Bathurst to fill in some in TRLT series.
Again, most were easy finds today.
Some nice views on this section.
More bitumen and cars than I’ve had on other days.
At and around GZ I spotted plenty of pastoral wildlife - camels, sheep, cattle, horses, ponies, donkeys, alpacas and a pig. I like this place!

Time to do a few more of TRLT series. Today frazeydaze and I took a detour on our journey from White Rock back to Blackheath. We turned off the GWH at Meadow Flat and drove towards Tarana. Along the way I picked up four more smilies while frazeydase had a few more that I've previously found. The caches were in the main park and grab. TFTC WaywardWoman.
After finding 7 of the TRLT series while travelling to White Rock for Christmas, oldmorty and I thought we’d go find some more on the return journey.
The first part of the trip was oldmorty driving and me jumping out to find 7 caches he’d already found. Then we found another 4 together. Thanks for the caches WaywardWoman. We had a lot of fun.

Heading back to big smoke and decided to take a detour and it was worth it. Beautiful countryside all around. The hint didn't lie. TFTC!
Heading to Portland today with time on my hands, I decided I'd take the scenic route there from Lithgow, travelling via Tarana and Sunny Corner (with a couple of diversions thrown into the mix) to pick up some of the TRLT series in a last ditch attempt to earn the final Hidden Creatures souvenir. I thoroughly enjoyed the drive and in the end, was able to pick up enough caches along the way, I think, to get me the turtle souvenir.
Thanks for placing TRLT caches along this stretch of road WaywardWoman, and for adding to my enjoyment of the drive to Portland.

After a night in a motel in Blayney, we decided today to head home via some unfound TRLT caches and complete the hidden creatures souvenir challenge for the month. We had a great time enjoying the quiet roads, taking in the scenery, and finding the caches.
A beautiful spot here with magnificent views. TFTC!

We have left the Morisset Geo Muster where we spent Easter and are now travelling South in our interim caravan.
At the moment we are camped near Lithgow at a lovely free camp at Lake Wallace. Today we headed to Bathurst for the day, travelling via the backroads.
We went out of our way a couple of times today for this "old school" caching trail, good coordinates, swaps, decent sized containers, thoughtful placement with parking and always a great view.
TFTSeries they are much appreciated WaywardWoman

Went up from Sydney to Newnes for the weekend. Camped at Newnes Ruins Campground, surrounded by kangaroos, possums and a wealth of birds. On Saturday we headed out for some caching, and came up to this section of the TRLT series.
Agree with previous log, the CO has done lots of effort to put these in place.

Back today to do more of this fun series. We love the rural areas so this sort of caching suits us just fine. A lot of work has gone into putting out these caches and we are grateful to the co. Thanks to WaywardWoman for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Day 5 of our xmas caching trip to complete the trlt series, this afternoon we are joining up with our earlier northern finds. Really appreciate the placing and maintaining of al the caches for our enjoyment. Photo op here as a very cute baby camel in the paddock. Tftc
A quick and easy drive by while we were in the area. See GC6MKZQ TRLT - No Ducks Here for our master log for this series. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Day 2 of our trip away. Stayed in oberon last night and thought we would head out here to collect a few extra smiley faces. Thankyou for the cache .
The Road Less traveled weekend two around Oberon. Day 3. After staying On Oberon the day took me to O'Connell and then back to the TRLT from Tarana to Peel.

Hi there WaywardWoman.
We found your cache **" TRLT - Pastoral wildlife"** today. (This makes our find count 17708).
Today we headed out from Oberon so we could attempt some more of the "TRLT" series, plus any others we came across on our travels. We started at "Pine Cone Corner" & from there we proceeded to log caches up to "Stumpy" before heading back to camp. We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, but please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but it is really difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]
We found 37 caches today & DNF'd 1. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking. [:(!] (We did have to look a little further afield for some though). [:(!]
**Cache Condition:** Most containers and log books were in good shape but some require a little "maintenance".
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny
