Reperio 11:20Today I headed out towards Oberon, and with that came the chance to pick up a few caches, especially some of the TRLT series. This was a nice quick stop here, however the container is broken and will need replacing.Gratias WaywardWomanAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
What a really busy little intersection.Having hardly seen a car on the back roads. Since we left Oberon, it's just constant traffic here. Who would have thought it?Thanks for maintaining the cache
After spending the night camping high above the Cox's I began my day here caching at Tarana through to Sunny Corner,no problems here for the first find of the day.Happy new year ww,all the best in 2024Thanks for the cache
Quick one once I identified the right corner. Gorgeous small town.Camping for a few days at Lake Wallace so decided to pick off a few more of these.Tftc
Luckily I decided to search for this one at night… this location could be busy during the day making searching a challenge.
Thanks for placing this cache.

We are on a cachey 10 day holiday, starting off with 2 nights at Emu Plains to hopefully collect the new GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and some more of the Band caches north of Penrith. Then it’s 5 nights at Oberon to collect some of the many new & old puzzle caches that we have solved around the area, and also hoping to complete the Oberon Adventure Lab. After leaving Oberon we will be visiting Jenolan Caves, for both the caves and the Jenolan EarthCache, then heading to Katoomba for 2 nights to ride the Scenic World attractions (Railway, Cableway, & Skyway) and to do a few caches of various types plus an Adventure Lab. We will end the holiday with a stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs.
Today we will be continuing our travels on some more of "the roads less travelled" to collect some more of the TRLT cache series, and also any other caches we come across along the way, including numerous previously solved puzzle/mystery caches. Yesterday we travelled roads to the South of Oberon, and today we will be travelling North towards O'Connell, Tarana, and Meadow Flat. This was our 16th find of the day (day 7), and 145th find of the holiday.
After finding the cache at the Tarana Railway Station, we next came to this one, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC WaywardWoman.

Day 4 of our geo tour from Bathurst and surrounding areas..
Taking a drive on the road less traveled today. Expecting some great scenery and plenty of caches.
Thanks to everyone involved in creating caches and trails for us to enjoy.
Need some caches with alt above 1000m so Oberon is the target.
Tftc Wayward Woman,
After a really nice plate of B&E +coffee from the cafe (highly recommend) made a quick find here.

With the COVID19 restrictions lifting, we decided to head to the Bathurst area this long weekend on a Geomission with Rapidlywild.
We hit the road early and resisted the urge to stop along way. We decided to attack the TRLT trail and others around the area. We had a great four days, only a few DNF’s but mostly smiley's, and have left plenty for another adventure.
Lovely area to cache in and we look forward to coming back for some more fun and laughs.
Thanks for the hide WaywardWoman and thanks Rapidlywild for another great weekend away.

With COVID19 locking everyone down for so long, a MUCH overdue geocaching mission was welcomed. FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided to head towards Bathurst and attack some of the TRLT caches and see how far we can go. Spoke to a few of the CO's prior to heading up to see if we could assist with any maintenance that was required, so we went prepared with some camo containers and some fresh log books. We had a wonderful weekend stretching the legs and enjoying the country side.
Thanks for the hide WaywardWoman And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another fun weekend out and about the TRLT trails and others

Since regional restrictions for Covid 19 are lifting tomorrow, I am re-enabling all my TRLT caches. Please remember to use sanitizer before and after handing caches and stay safe!
Happy caching.
Happy caching.
Today I planned my adventure tour along the TRLT Trail in Meadow Flat and head south.
On the way I search and find a lot of boxes.
Again and again I am happy about the beautiful landscape and the many animals on the pastures.
Thanks to all owners for this great tour

Day 1 of our roadtrip to Canberra and back, a recreation of one we did 3 years back, to now share with our youngest team member. With the Putty Road closed, we diverted through Sydney traffic (joy) and onto the (smoky) Bells Line of Road to Bathurst, our stop for the night. We managed 18 finds for the day, with just 1 DNF. A good start.
This was quite a nice scenic drive through here, would be even better after some good rains I'm sure. As we rounded the corner, the hide seemed obvious, and the lads fought over who would be boosted up to spot it.... cache all dry and in good shape.... TFTC!

We enjoyed a meal at the pub on the way home from Lithgow and then went to find this cache. Then we realised we had found it before and failed to log it. Thanks WaywardWoman.
Lunch at the pub is one of our favourite things whenever we are close by, and thought we would pick up this cache while we were there. We realised we had done that before but have no idea when, so logging it now. TFTC
Greetings from DARKSIDEDAN.
This weekend I went on a caching trip and managed to get about 165 caches for the weekend. Your cache was one of the 165 caches that I signed CGG19 as part of our group signature for the five geocachers in our group. We saw loads of wildlife on our trip including 6 Wombats and loads of Roos. This was a fantastic series of caches. I cant wait to get back out and finish the rest of this series off. Thanks to the CO for the fun weekend.
Here is a little about me. At the time of this “Found It” log I have over 6750 finds and 350 Hides. I was the creator of the “Ducky Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Prize in the State Vs State Battle of the Labs during the OzGeoMuster – The Gong 2019. I am the owner of the largest GeoArt Series in the ACT and winner of countless Geocaching Prizes. I have got 200 plus caches in one day and I have also got 12 cache types in a day.
There is nothing that I love more than being out geocaching. I will geocache anytime, anywhere, with anyone.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
* * * * I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the 20th of April 2019 my average is 110 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 200 words for a long period of time to get my average up. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After more than 5500 aches (which includes all cache finds up and including today I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated. * * * * *

This cache was find #96 of day 1 of our epic geocaching adventure weekend. I had the pleasure of spending time with Darksidedan, ALL7, minniek and AyKayEm. There was four wheel driving involved (it had rained recently), there were some wrong turns (so my reversing skills got a workout) and then there was the general 'we have to get as many caches as possible before finishing each day' mantra going through our heads. Thank you to the COs who have taken the time to initiate this 'road' and to maintain all of the caches. TFTC.
A plan was hatched, for a group of Canberra (and one Goulburn) Geocachers to stay overnight in Bathurst on a Saturday night and cache our way there and back - mainly doing some of The Road Less Travelled series, and anything else interesting that we were near. So, on Friday afternoon All7 and I met up with Cosmonaut97, who drove us out to Goulburn where we stayed the night with MinnieK (thanks for the hospitality), and then DarkSideDan arrived in the morning and we crammed all our gear into the back of the Cosmonaut Geomobile, all 5 of us climbed in, and we embarked upon our adventure - and what a fun weekend we had! Lots of laughs, some interesting terrain to drive through, and a whole lot of cache finds - so, sorry - most of these logs will be rather generic ... (and also rather late, because I am only just catching up with all the logging now - oops)
Logs were signed as CGG19 by at least a couple of people, or possibly CGC19 by me, because that is what I have written in my notebook (except for the first one I signed, which I think I signed GGC19) ... so I guess our group name was Canberra Goulburn Geocachers, or Canberra Goulburn Cachers, or whatever else anyone else signed - lol)
TFTC - I didn't write draft logs for any of these, because it was too difficult to keep up with that as we went ... and with all the caches we found this weekend - in most cases I don't remember which bit of fun was which particular cache. I did write a few words in my note book for some of them, so I will include those below if I did.
(Unfortunately, if I don't just copy and paste the same log for all these, and try to go through my photos or something, or read the listing and get creative, to figure out different things to write, I will never be able to catch up with my logging, and I don't like being behind).

Signed CGG19 with Group.. We enjoy drive everywhere and good Laugh... She is very good drive with 4WD.... thanks
Out caching with Cosmonaut97, ALL7, DARKSIDEDAN & Aykayem with an aim to do as many as we could on TRLT series. Signed logs as CGG19 to save space (Canberra Goulburn Group 2019).
Had a long and tiring day finding everything on our list for the day. Thank you to all CO's for their efforts in placing and maintaining the caches for others to find.
Look forward to continuing the trail when I can.

Well this was very scenic! Glad it wasn't high summer. Hope things are well desiccated for the next cachers. Tftc
A quick and easy find. Lucky for us we were downwind of the dead sheep! Pleased that we did not have to find the cache on the ground!! Cheers
We are spending some time driving from Katoomba to Bathurst. A nice place to be, a few caches here and there, and a wee bit of driving fun too! In the smaller log sheets we signed as MK+KR to save space.

Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching.
Today we journey along the RLT east from Bathurst, commencing at "Bridge".
Found as described. Except that there was a dead sheep at the post. Phew!
Now let's go explore Tarana before we head back to Bathurst.
Log signed and replaced on June 11, 2019 at 3:47 PM. TFTC, WaywardWoman.

This was our fourth day on this super long geocaching trail, and so first thing this morning we set off to where we had pulled out of the trail yesterday evening. The weather was perfect and once again we found ourselves travelling through some truly beautiful scenic countryside on interesting roads. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Trip from Bright in Victoria to Brisbane, Queensland can be rather boring, so we cache as we go. Today, we started at a the showgrounds in Taralga and dragged our caravan to Lake Oberon. We dropped the van at Lake Oberon to allow us a bit more freedom to cache around town. Today is Day 10.
Quick easy find. Moving TB on to more lucrative pastures. Thanks WaywardWorman

Time to do a few more of TRLT series. Today frazeydaze and I took a detour on our journey from White Rock back to Blackheath. We turned off the GWH at Meadow Flat and drove towards Tarana. Along the way I picked up four more smilies while frazeydase had a few more that I've previously found. The caches were in the main park and grab. TFTC WaywardWoman.
After finding 7 of the TRLT series while travelling to White Rock for Christmas, oldmorty and I thought we’d go find some more on the return journey.
The first part of the trip was oldmorty driving and me jumping out to find 7 caches he’d already found. Then we found another 4 together. Thanks for the caches WaywardWoman. We had a lot of fun.

Loving the vibe of this little country town. Going to have to stop for lunch I think
This was a short afternoon of caching completed – nice to visit this outer area less visited – thanks - TFTC / TFTH / SL

Heading back to big smoke and decided to take a detour and it was worth it. Beautiful countryside all around. Not too many options in central Tarana. TFTC!
