(10178) Came up to Auckland with Itchyfeet2020 to primarily get the Crayola series. Second day and it has dawned a much better day with no rain about. Got a few others as well. Solved these 5 years ago and finally going for them. Signed the log as McItchy. Thanks HeMaLuDy for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.
Day 2 of my visit to the big smoke with Mr-Mcgoo for a Crayola coloured crayon adventure. As you would expect there were lots of other caches on our list such as this one. Having fun caching in a cache rich area on a much nicer day than yesterday. Our joint caching name for the logs is Mc Itchy. TFTC.
I have an afternoon caching in and around Pukekohe and whilst some more of the Crayola series are in my sights theres also some trads to collect along the way. This was one of a few trads I found today and this one is as along a busy old road this afternoon; cars, runners, dog walkers. Several times I needed to park and wait before running and grabbing. Thankfully this was a quick spot, sign, and return. Thanks HeMaLuDy#5388Logged using Cachly.
The only hanging bison along here that we managed to find. It took a couple of seconds to find the cache, and then a couple of minutes to manage to unscrew it, and then what felt like a couple of days to get the log out. We tried tweezers but they were too fat. We banged it on the ground but the log wouldn't budge. Eventually I used the magic tool, one of the rings on Daddypig's keyring, which usually gets logs out easily, but today it took so so long! And then it took 3 attempts to roll it back up tight enough to fit back in the cache.
We are on a trip in New Zealand. A wonderful country with a lot of (old )caches. There are too many caches so we limit ourselves to the (old) gems or where we happen to make a stop. We found and signed this cache in good condition. HeMaLuDy, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
We planned a few days visit to Auckland for two reasons; our last two North Island CANZ caches, and the Crayola series which we had solved several years ago. This was #36 for the day, found while in the area. All good here. Thanks for the cache, HeMaLuDy.
Out on a geocache trip with Ellen Sch , Team Eika and ingsve on holiday in New Zealand, and today it was this area that was prioritized If nothing else is mentioned, we found the cache at good coordinates and it was fine To save space in the log, we often log in with the nickname N4 Many thanks to CO for laying out and maintaining this Greetings from Norway TFTCUte p en geocache-tur med Ellen Sch,Team Eika og ingsve p ferien i New Zealand og idag var det dette omrdet som ble prioritert Hvis ikke annet er nevnt s fant vi cachen p gode koordinater og den hadde det braFor spare plass i loggen logger vi ofte med nick N4Tusen takk til Til CO for utlegg og vedlikehold av denne Hilsen fra Norge TFTC
Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrVon sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway
As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip.
EnglishWe are six Norwegians on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. We arrived in Melbourne at the beginning of February and are traveling home after the mega event in Adelaide. We travel by car and Geocaching helps us discover many nice places and often helps to decide where we choose the route between our goals which are: Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Dunedeen, and Adelaide. This is one of the caches we found on the trip and we thank you for showing us this place. We who are on tour have the nicknames: MrVonsr, ingsve, EllenSch and TeamEika. And signs the logs with N4.Great thanks for showing us and doing our tour wonderful NorwegianVi er seks nordmenn p tur i Australia og New Zealand. Out and about chasing crayons with matagouri and picking up the odd extra bonus cache as we go.Found it quick enough. Took ages extracting the log though. Got there eventually. Thanks for setting this up

Really wanted to complete the wheel of challenges to grab another souvenir but today is the last day and we think we are still 21 caches short. The weather is not looking great and I have to be at work again this afternoon so we decided our best bet was to head over here and start the crayola series. Passed a couple of traditional caches on our drive around and stopped to grab them too. Found this one nice easy. Didnt see one like this this size before. Very cute.
I just finished the crayola series and this cache lay on my way. Nice easy find. Thanks for hiding and maintaining.
With such a rare name in such a small country what are the odds that there is no family relation... ??? Maybe you need to go further back to the great great great cousin...

Just cruising around the district picking up Crayola series. Nice to turn a greenhouse into a smile
We were in the area picking up some of the Crayola 64 series and stopped to look for this one as we passed by.
We quickly spotted the cache and pulled out the log to sign but getting it back in was a little trickier and needed some very careful rolling.
Once everything was back in place we headed off to continue our Crayola mission.
Not a soul in sight this early evening, a perfect time of day to find caches and explore the area.

In the area picking up a few of the Crayola series and decided to keep going and find this one too. Cute wee thing…that we had to improvise a tool to get log out TFTC
I was out in this area collecting the Crayola series and it would be rude not to collect this one. A nice easy find. Note, there is a new cafe out that way as well and they make great coffee. TFTC.
4 July 2022 13:51. Quickly found, but unable to extract the log . have photo as proof if needed TFTC number 11284.
Mr Kiwi and I spent Matariki exploring this new part of the country to us. We found snails, slugs, ants and slaters along with 83 caches. Thanks for the trad cache.

A nice quick hunt for this one while on today's adventures. Nice day to explore new areas, TFTC!
A nice day out, found this one in and amongst all the puzzles. A nice day out. This cache is tiny. TFTC
Tiny little cache. Haven't seen one of these in a while. Nearby friends horse stud. Beautifully kept area. Tftc
A quick break from chasing crayons as we noticed this trad was nearby. I spotted it - it was smaller than I had been expecting! All good here though. Thank you for placing it here!
Had some time to burn so thought I'd go get some of these caches. Thanks for putting this out.
Continuing our adventures around Karaka and Waiuku, made a quick stop to find your cache HeMaLudy
Missed seeing you at the MEGA, it has been too long since I have caught up with the SEAC crew.

NZ MEGA 2020 (in 2022) road trip - Day 7
Having had a fantastic day on Browns Island on Sunday, another member of Team Done by 1 (RustyNZ) and I arranged to do just the Crayola series, and anything more would be a bonus. She had been wanting an excuse to come and find these, so it was a good opportunity for both of us. We met up just off the motorway and carpooled from there.
A quick find at GZ, the log was soon sporting both our names and we were back off on what would end up being a really long, but worthwhile day. I didn't get my 200, but I had my best single day ever with over 100 finds

#19578. It's not often you find just two trads on a day where you find 60+ caches, but today was mainly about the Crayolas. Good to find a few other caches along the way. TFTC.
Today we had set aside for doing the Crayola 64 series, and StreetWalkerNZ had spent time last night working out the optimal route, though a bit of back tracking could not be avoided. A successful day, with just a couple of DNFs (think these caches are missing, rather than through our incompetence [:p]).
We were driving past so had to stop and look for this cache. No doubt it gets more hides these days than before the geoart . TFTC.

Long time since last driving around this area .. Used to work as a Surveyor a long time ago. Good to be back TFTC
#8943. I was out doing the Crayola series and noticed there was traditional tucked in amongst them. So stopped to do this one. The cache was a reasonably quick find but being a bit smaller than other similar caches done today it took me a moment to register what it was. All good however. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks U by H for the cache on Urquhart Road.
Nobody around today which makes it a perfect day to pick up some caches. Nice quick find here. Lovely road. TFTC
Nice sweet simple find whilst doing some of the Crayola series. Handy leaning surface nearby for signing log too! SL TFTC
Looked out for this one as we started to look at some of the Carola caches. Easy find, thanks CO.
Collecting the crayola series of puzzle cache and also a few nearby. Signed as part of the southern raiders as we collect these cache out this way today.
Jude_E, NosyNel, GraciesGPSFun and I are on the ‘Mega that wasn’t’ trip in Auckland the weekend. We’re collecting the ‘Tour’ caches, plus others, plus seeing the scenery, plus having a good old time -as usual . TFTC.
In Auckland for the mega that isn't! We are looking for crayola caches today. We signed as JENG to save log space: Jude_E, Ethness, Nosynel and graciesgpsfun. Smallest one of those I've ever seen. Thanks for the cache.

The DBees went off to complete a tour. We are signing as Jing and all enjoyed completing the puzzles in this series. This is supposed to be a Mega trip. Jude_E and I flew up from Christchurch. Ethness flew up from Wellington. The DBees and Gracie's GPS fun drove down from Northland.

It was nice to have a different type of cache to find while I was in the process of finding a good number of caches in a puzzle series. The name remains me of Francis Urquhart who was a central figure in a television series that aired about thirty years ago. I don't always easily find these types of containers but I had no difficult with this one.
Enjoying a trip around the North Island with NZ Bozzy - planned to attend the mega and also pick up the North Island TMGT caches plus fill in blanks on our jazmar grids and DT grids.
Today we joined with Southern Raiders and picked up this cache.
thanks for bringing us here.

Visiting North Island from Otago as I still had my flights etc all booked last Christmas for what was going to be the Mega Weekend. Joined up with the Southland Geocachers (MrandMrsChosen1978, Wombat_4, NZBozzy, Kiscardi, Mrs Hazzer, Tregram and I) formed the Southern Raiders to have a Mega time caching in Auckland and Rotorua.
Day 3 - a nice morning chilling at the hotel and then it was time to hit the 64 Crayola series. As one of two who had all of the puzzle final locations loaded on my phone I became the navigator in the cark with NZBozzy and Kiscardi. So much fun was had travelling around the area and on the roads we saw and waved to drivers in some very old classic cars.

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

And here’s this one trad in the middle of a group of puzzles.
Today is Crayola day; everyone has done the puzzles, back in lockdown, and this is very much a focus of the trip, while also doing a couple of the not-this-year-Mega-2020 events.
Travelling with South Island cachers, we found a number of caches including this one, on Labour Weekend Sunday.
We have typically signed as mrandmrschosen1978 or occasionally MM78. Crayola have been signed as Southern Raiders

Today was the day Team G0LD (Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ) finally got to collect the crayola puzzles. As Pete said we'd planned this trip ages ago but covid-19 got in the way.
I left my sons in Whangarei at 5am and got back home to Paihia at 11pm. It was a long day but I really enjoyed it. We found all the crayola series, a few trads near them, a few other solved puzzles. In the middle of the series we headed up to Awhitu Regional park to get a cache that required low tide. Along the way we even managed two FTF's giving us a total of just over 100 for the day.
This was one of the trads we grabbed as we passed. It was an easy find and nice to meet the CO later in the day as we chased down an ftf. Thanks for the cache

Out with Team Gold (0B80B8, Liz Crew) doing a raid on the South Auckland caches. After solving most of the puzzle in the area, it was time to go collect them with a few trad's along the way. Always enjoy a bison challenge. The team soon located the cache. TFTC
Off on a mission today with Team G0LD ( Geocachers 0B8, Lis & Daffy ) to finally do the Crayola 64 series. The puzzles had been solved ages ago, but due to two Covid forced delays, it was only now we could coordinate schedules and head south from Whangarei to make the finds.
We managed over 100 caches today, including all 64 Crayola puzzles, some extra puzzles, a few trads and a "slight" detour up to Awhitu Park to do the walk around there as well. A neat bonus was a couple of FTF's as well for the day. Finally made it back to Whangarei 17 hours later after over 500kms travel. Thx Greg for the driving, Lis for doing a lot of the hard yards in and out of the vehicle and yours truly for not getting us lost in an area of the country I certainly had never been before.
This was a trad on our route, so we just had to stop for a look. A nice quick find here. TFTC

We have a significant caching milestone approaching which we want to obtain on a trip away over Labour weekend. To get there we needed a few more caches and so a plan was hatched, the collective solving power of Team SEAC was put to the task to solve a local series.
The weather forecast wasn't the greatest and there was some initial discussion about postponing however the decision was made to carry on.
As we were doing the series we noted this cache.
That name sounds familiar!!!!!! There can't be to many Urquhart's around. Wander if they are related to Mrs HeMaLuDy....... and what do you know it was.
We decided that since they were not with us today it would have been rude NOT to attempt this cache.
Parked up and made a quick find.
We also had to ring the HeMaLuDys a little while later to assist with another one of their caches...... THAT ONE was just MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so MEAN we have to mention in THIS cache as well!!!!!!!!!! (Just Don't Get Bamboozled GC6JP7)
Thanks for THIS cache HeMaLuDy

I have fond memories of Scotland and Inverness having lived up there for the 4 years before we emigrated to NZ. A visit to Loch Ness was a family favourite and when we visited on holiday a few years ago we went caching up towards Urquhart Castle. The entry fee was deemed to steep though and we'd visited before so just made do with a popular cache and use of the facilities.
This took a little to long to find as I endlessly (pointlessly) checked and re-checked the hedge. I spotted the cache in position as I retreated. T F T C
Another weekend day dawns, later than usual due to daylight saving adjustment in the night and my plan for today was a good one. I've been steadily solving the jigigi Crayola puzzles at the rate of 5 or 6 a night with some gaps in solving but steadily enough anyway. mrs capperz is away for the weekend so I'm at a loose end for things to do - lol! So caching in the Drury area it is then. There was supposed to be some unsavoury weather around with a storm moving across the country, but meh. I can always take a change of clothing. As it was the rain came down for an hour or so and I got really wet, but the sun made an appearance and a breeze picked up to dry me off. Which was nice.
And so it came to pass. The Crayolas were put back in their carton, except for 2 DNFs (one missing, one not sure why everyone else found it but not me!), 62/64. Also managed to get some collateral caches when passing as well as my 200th Earthcache, some GROTTYs, and a trip to Puhinui Reserve to get the Multi cache details for our US and UK partners. Home by 1730 so didn't even make use of the extra hours light today. I'd had enough by then.
Thanks to all COs whose caches I found, individual logs where I remember or have notes.

NZ Travellers have a big milestone in sight and a cache they are aiming for so they need to get their numbers up a bit for the stars to align at the right time. #1154. GB Leader and I decided a staycation in Auckland would be a good substitute to a planned overseas trip.
After spending time with second cousins in other parts of Auckland, time to knock more of the Crayola series off. Day 1 yesterday resulted in 9 finds, and two DNF’s.
This was an interloper in among the crayons, and really needed a TOTT for better access. But no worries. Nice easy find.

Was a awesome location, was just out on an afternoon drive.
Stumped slightly for where is it found but great way to blend in
Thank you for making the first one fun

Where it said it would be! Nice drive out here on a stunning day! Had to wait for sole bike rider to amble past but apart from her no sign of anyone else. TFTC!
I solved all the Crayola 64 mysteries at home and came well prepared with all the hints. The landscape was so quiet and peaceful and the boxes were well done. With more or less searching I signed the logbooks and finished the series. Thanks for all the mysteries and the work to make my day a happy geocaching day! This one was on the way too!

Thought we might as well grab this on the way past while doing the crayons series
