Logs
Quick find as it was on the ground. Maintenance required. I did have any supplier or would have done.
Our day started at 7 am. We were dressed and in the car, ready to head down towards Goulburn with the specific goal in mind of completing as many of the Taralga Trek caches as possible. We arrived at our first cache just after 8 am, and completed our journey at 5 pm. We attempted 59 caches in total. Sadly, 6 turned out to be DNFs.Throughout the day, we had to battle the wind to keep our feet on the ground. Despite that, the views from most locations and the journey in between were great. We stopped in at Taralga Hotel and had a delicious lunch between the legs of our adventure. Given the sheer volume of finds today, my logs are pretty generic unless there was something interesting to add.ABOUT THIS CACHE: I think we found it... or at least part of it. There was nothing in the most logical spot. My son was a tad disappointed as this was our first cache of the day. He decided to expand the search. That's when he spotted something that looked very much like something someone would use to hide a cache in a location like this. There wasn't a log in sight, unfortunately. We got some paper out of the car and made a makeshift log and secured it with a bit of tape, and placed it all in the most logical spot. This is in no way waterproof and will probably need some TLC in the very near future. TFTC and the awesome adventure with my son!
DNF 12/07/24. There was a single loose magnet present, but no related cache. I think this cache is gone.
A familiar cache type- always like one of these. Dare I say a common type in Goulburn? I remember years and years ago finding my first of this type at Goulburn maccas on a work trip to Canberra. Pooey smells at GZ but theres some beauty off in the distance.Generic summation of the day:I cooked up a plan to come to Goulburn overnight to grab some caches and AL on remembrance driveway. Had a pretty successful day, but ended up very cold.Snack situation: woeful. I started with a McMuffin and coffee for breakfast which held me over till 3pm but then I DNF two caches in a row and scrounged in my glovebox for a packet of rice crackers. Public toilet situation: they were plentiful at all the rest areas and many parks.Munzees: zeroWeather: cool, a little bit rainy at times, with a sharp drop off in temperature from 3:30pmWeirdos spotted: two kids walking down the street that said evening mam even though it was 1pm. Smoking muggle near the race course hating life pacing back and forth in front of the cache there. Dinner: Thai takeawayThanks to the cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches in Goulburn TFTC!
EthisEthat and I joined forces today for an expedition to Goulburn where we attended a CITO, found plenty of caches, and got up to some shenanigans along the way.A bit of exploration of the local landmarks brought us in the general direction of this cache which we decided to detour to for a quick find.EE jumped out of the car and I didn't even need to unbuckle my seatbelt by the time he'd uncovered the logbook. Thanks to Countrykittykat for this hide!
Once we reached the lovely town of Goulburn, Brain was keen to explore a bit off the cache map. Said exploration led us right past this cache so why not grab it? Soon the geomobile was pulled in right next to GZ where I hopped out to quickly make the cache find at GZ. Log signed, cache replaced and off for some more exploration! TFTC Countrykittykat!

Found on today's venture to Goulburn for the next round of GGGT events. Parked on the side-street then wandered over for a quick find. Interesting location, TFTC Countrykittykat!
Found It!
Another quick find here. Not much storm water to be seen today.

The first time I looked for this cache was when I was just starting out but today I thought I would have a second more experienced look. And I found it still can't believe I didn't find it last time.

I thought this one was going to be a bit of a waste. But shockingly turned out good
We've had some great days in Goulburn and a few mixed ones with showers. Mornings are cold but it often improves during the day.
The caching has been excellent though with most hides in good order and a variety of types and hides with some puzzles we have been able to solve pre arrival. We have enjoyed quite a number of multis that have been straightforward and that we have had success with.
We have now completed 4 of the 5 Adventure Labs but remain stuck on one!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Countrykittykat.
