Logs
Due to major vegetation using heavy machinery along the aqueduct this cache was sadly destroyed. Unfortunately as we are not in the area enough we will not be replacing this cache.
Once Upon a Time: There was a cache hidden beside the Aqueduct.
Fairly sure it is no longer there. A few large trees down, but chopped up, at GZ.
Nothing resembling a cache anywhere nearby.
With no finds since July 2018, perhaps it's time for an owner check here.
Thanks for the walk all the same. A magical spot.

Spend some time searching but no avail can't get the idea of moths out of my head. last find was in 2018, is it still there? Regards Vic
After attending the *Yarra Expedition #10* event this morning we then explored the area following the river between Warburton and Woori Yallock.
It was a great time to be out on this sunny winter day, and we covered about 25km by bike. By the end of the day the group had dwindled in size as cachers got tired. OzHockeyChick, Jacko and I were still keen on more hiking so it was off again, this time on foot.
I recall this aqueduct trail as I've walked along it a couple of times during the Oxfam 100km Trailwalk. On those occasions I was walking along here at about 3am in a sleepless daze.
Which is pretty much how I felt at GZ this afternoon. We wandered around in a daze for about 15 minutes before we gave up.
Looking at the logs it was found just last week - well done to lakesclimber who found this tricky one after just 7 finds and as his first Aussie cache! Making us look a little silly today.
I don't know if the recent logging around here has helped or hindered the hide. For us there was no smilie.
Thanks anyway Mark&Kelly.

Brilliant camouflage! First Australia find on our 6 weeks holiday here thanks.

Today I headed out with biggles1024 to first of all attend the Yarra Expedition part 9 and then head off in search of other cache where ever they maybe.
With the event now over, everyone had hit the road to find a cache or two.
By now we had set off on our own trail of Caches to find and this one was close by to where we were so we continued along the trail to GZ.
I always enjoy finding members of this series to see a bit of history of areas that we are visiting, while walking along the trail I did say that I wondered what this Aqueduct was used for and now that I have found this cache I know but finding it wasn’t without a problem as we had been looking around for a little while with no luck until I was looking at the bottom of the aqueduct , something was spotted, I was then thinking that this something was looking like the cache and sure enough it was.
After we caught up on our history and the log was signed the cache was placed back where we thought would be a better spot rather than the bottom of the aqueduct, not sure where it originally was though.
**Thanks to Mark&Kelly for placing this cache.**

**Traditional Cache Find #2129**
I headed out early with SteMicMitSar to attend and event and then find caches in the area. I love this series. The history is fascinating and the series itself has been put together brilliantly. This one took longer than it should have. We saw an object but initially dismissed it. With no other possibilities being spotted, the first object was investigated more fully. It was the cache. It had been dislodged from it's usual location. The log was signed and then Steve put it back in a spot that was much more in keeping with the hint.

Well, I certainly hadn’t expected to be Caching during the Oxfam 100km walk. Thanks to my amazing team mates and support crew for making it an amazing event with the odd cache!

Find #9145
In one of the many periods of downtime while supporting a geocaching team doing the Oxfam 100km trailwalker, Annoying Tarbit and I managed to get out and find a few caches.
Having the team with us for this one I also dropped in the names of Liambaxter88, Zeus,Hera&Kids as well as levers. AT and waferthin had found it already. Cool container spotted while trying to not look suspicious to other trailwalkers.
Many thanks to Mark&Kelly for the cache. TNLN.

When looking for a handful of geocaches in the area to go and find, this one quickly jumped on to the list. I've been along a part of the aqueduct trail before (above Launching Place) and I loved the views, plus I like learning about the history. Great views from the car park.
I arrived near GZ after seeing a few Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos on the way.
I scanned the area for possible hiding locations, but then I heard talking nearby. An elderly couple slowly went by, and I admired the view till they were out of sight. I then went to where the GPS was suggesting I go and once on the other side, quickly located the cache. Interesting to see how recently they decomissioned this system - I would have expected it to be longer ago.
Thanks for the cache.

It was Grand Final Day and while everyone was glued to the match I took advantage of the empty roads to attend to some required maintenance in Emerald. Then while I was out this way, I decided to check out the start of The Cache Run on the aquaduct trail. But, despite the lovely views, it fizzled out before it began. Still, I felt the need for a smiley, and another chapter of the Mark&Kelly 'Once Upon a Time' series was within striking distance.
The stroll along the aquaduct was a lovely, sunlight bathed, peaceful walk far removed from the mad celebrations of Tiger Land. I was so relaxed by my surrounds that I completely overshot GZ and had to backtrack.
Once I arrived at GZ, I contemplated the scene. The lack of any alternative meant the hide had to be beyond the ditch, so a scramble was required. I wandered about in the thick vegetation without being able to pinpoint the cache and ended up back on the trail side of the aquaduct once more. I found a gorgeous butterfly sporting Adelaide colours sunning itself on the concrete of the aquaduct. It wasn't giving up any clues for the cache. Neither were the finches that flitted in and out of the foliage.
I confess it must have taken me a while to find this brilliantly camouflaged treasure, because I arrived in sunshine but left in gloomy twilight.
Thanks as always for the remarkable history lesson, Mark&Kelly. It was an absolute joy to come out this way and immerse myself in the serenity of this location for a while.

While staying at mil grove with friends for the weekend we just had to do the aquaduk. Wondering now do I have to really make the crossing or not. Once achieving that and wondering how I would return I got to the searching. Always going to far it was on my return that I noticed the very clever hide. A quick sign of and now for the return deal. Thanks for the challenge it gets a favourite from me
A misty autumn morning, dappled sun light along the track and silence, what can spoil my day? Really? You want me to go where? Easily spotted the cache, (this was not my first M&K cache) and then had to decided, "Will I or won't I?" Well I did and I lived to tell the tale. Thanks M&K

Out on a training walk with Lost_and_Found_79 for the upcoming Oxfam trailwalker event in this area. On our last time here we had searched unsuccessfully for this one but having read a few previous logs I came back with renewed confidence. I jumped right in to search and L&F79 clearly had the better approach as she stood back, surveyed the situation and was able to point out the cache that I couldn't spot from close range. After a minor pen-cident we had our names in the log. Took nothing left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Mark&Kelly. Neat work on the camo here!

After our DNF (which rather equated to a we really need to keep walking) last time out, Annoying Tarbit and I were on a caching walk and decided to look for this again. AT did the searching as I (ahem) supervised from afar! A team of Oxfam walkers that we had passed previously were asking what we were doing, and were interested in the response. Not sure if it was an excuse for them to stop but they soon moved on with "We hope you find it". After a few more minutes I spotted the cache and pointed it out to AT who made the retrieval. Another one of those "you keep missing it but once you've seen it you wonder how" caches. Beautifully done. TFTC!

Came by here on a training walk for the Oxfam Trailwalker event. Had a good look around but couldn't make the find and chose to press on. Thanks anyway.
Found last week. A great find and will be back for a longer ride and hopefully more caches. Thanks
Over the last few months 88andy88 has been introducing me to geocaching.
Took a while for me to grasp it all and have finally joined up so now i am backtracking logs of the caches i have been to to find with 88andy88....
Thanks for the cache.....

While in the area completing another mission i came across this on my map.
My muggle GF and our Geomut decided to have a little look for this one.
Amazing area and this CO pair whom i know personally go to no end of effort to place these fantastic cache containers and nearly all in fantastic locations.
This whole area is close to my heart. Love it.
This container deserves one of my fav points without doubt!
Awesome and def thanks for the cache and the amazing old pic within...
Brilliant!

I was here on a project i started 2 years ago, which was completed successfully today. So was within 4 meters of this one so decided to grab it. Nice camo . tftc. The last metre was a little slippery
TFTC. We were about on our way back over from an extensive hunt to log a DNF when bang it was right in front of our noses!
Found with Waferthin and robinyang while we were ostensibly training or at least getting a feel for the terrain involved in the Oxfam thingy. This was the first actual cache we stopped for and I suspect it went down a little better than standing around trying to decipher virtual waypoints for a couple of multis, as I had already insisted on doing two time over to this point. I think we initially overestimated the distance from path to cache but the well-camouflaged and nicely crafted container was quite accessible after a tiny bit of fancy footwork. Thanks Mark&Kelly!
Out for an Oxfam Trailwalker training hike with BendSinister & robinyang. I initially followed what appeared to be a geotrail up the hill, I walked right past the ingenious, well disguised cache, maybe time for some new glasses luckily BendSinister was on the ball & quickly found it. A well deserved fav point for an ingenious cache
Was out today with waferthin & bendsinister on a training walk for the Oxfam Trailwalker event next year. Geocaching Melbourne will have 4 teams participating and the last leg of the event actual passes this cache. Bendsinister called out to stop us and waferthin was the first to climb down and over. I followed after tentatively making sure I didn't break an ankle. We initially searched too far up the slope but the sharp eyes of bendsinister soon spotted this very nice cache! We signed our names, replaced as found and continued on our merry way. Thanks Mark&Kelly for a placing this cache in a great spot & the effort gone into creating the camo. Great work!! TFTC!
Morcs4 said I had to see this spot, and it was spectacular. Really interesting history, thanks M&K
First Mark&Kelly once upon a time cache.. This one was easy after getting to GZ and seeing the geo trail from the FTF.
Thanks for the photo & history lesson.
Thanks for the photo & history lesson.
{*FTF*} !! I saw this cache come through last night and worked out my travelling times. This morning my little gal snuggled up to me in bed and I mentioned the Aquaduct series near Eltham that we had done with CO. Then mentioned that they had a new cache on a different aquaduct (near some caches we had done last week) and that we could be the first to find it. Straight away she said FIRST TO FIND with a big smile on her face. We managed to drag her brother away from the cartoons and set off at 8am. Less than an hour later we arrived at an empty car park, after enjoying the views on the way, of the clouds in the valleys and the sun trying to shine though. We were now in the clouds, and as soon as we hopped out to the car, I fell in love with this place. WOW!!
Off we went, knowing we were probably going to be FTF. The walk was stunning too and I can not wait to come back and explore more.
The cache eluded us for a while as the cloud cover was interfering with the GPS. I sent the kids to look further afield before deciding to join them and soon had the cache in hand. The camouflage was great and a great history too. I will come back and walk what I can, if there is a trail. I have been doing a few caches in the Yarra Valley later and really loving the area.
Thank you so much for bring me here Mark&Kelly. A Favourite from me.
