Surprise! Sunrise has long gone and its warming up nicely for a wander in the Warbys. Grubby mark is all I left - the writing tool is somewhere between here and there - hence photo. After my last reptilian fright Im using the long poker tap tap strategy around these rocks. TFTC and the fun
Early start this morning, met up with Byker152 to complete the Sunrise loop. These another task on the agenda this morning, Byker had lost his Grandfathers pocket watch up here a couple weeks back. Needle in a haystack but determined to find it!
We continued on to here from Mt Buff views, battling through the thick bush (some were like iron rods!) Ended up back on the track, where a passing wallaby nearly took Byker out, jumping straight over the track at shoulder height about a foot in front of him! Once we got closed to GZ Byker spotted a turquoise parrot was able to snap a pic. Another awesome view at this one. Dropped a TB. FP awarded for highlighting a great spot.

Out enjoying this beautiful morning. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Happy Easter! Was up trying to gwt the sunrise this morning... a weird family tradition. Found this while I was up there. Sadly too much cloud cover for the sunrise however the moon was looking stunning. Thanks for the hide
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Jamin Appleford for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

This was a section of the Warbys we were yet to explore, and with the mild weather it was an opportunity to go for a longer hike, the 'Sunrise Track' is a hidden gem, so many great viewpoints along the trails, some great cache placements to make it an all-round adventure, TFTC Jamin
the morning is warming
though it is soon after sunrise, sweat coats our backs like a thick cloak
sucking us dry like a mosquito
the air is hot and still
a conundrum:
you can walk
wade through the dry hot air
enjoy the coating of moisture sucked out by the heat
or
you can run
this may seem counter-intuitive: why burn more calories in this furnace?
but when you get some pace up, you will begin to feel a gentle breeze about your skin
the faster you run, the faster the breeze
get hotter to feel cooler
our decision:
run for the breeze

Seemed to be a bit of a Jamin day today with The Morris.
Spent the morning with Mr Morris on the Sunrise Trail, and the afternoon with Lady Morris around the Forest Camp.
It was well past sunrise (even with daylight savings!) by the time we hit this trail.
A lovely day for a walk up the Warbys though.
This was my first cache for the day.
A great view from GZ, but a bit of a bugger bashing thru to get there.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found with catnap777 at 10:00am after being caught approaching GZ by a beavar.
Bashing our way through the scrub counting down the metres to GZ and we were almost startled by the unexpected form of one member of team beavar who kindly introduced herself as we emerged from the thicket to catch our breath. [:o]
Having inadvertantly met hairypanic for the first time earlier in the day, this morning on the mountain has proven to be more social than some events.
I love this game.
Thanks for another surprisingly social cache with a view Jamin.

Just when we thought we were alone. I have thought many a time whilst walking through the bush and talking to my man about this and that, I should take more care about our topic of conversation. You know when you think you should do something, but don't follow your own good advice. Well we stumbled upon one member of beavar on this fine day, and I instantly thought I should heed my own advice. I can't remember what dalerious and I were talking about, but apologise if it was inappropriate . Good to finally meet you B. Another awesome spot in the Warbies; I should be saying silence is golden, just like the view!
Nice to meet dalerious and catnap777 on the trail. Was going to go for the FTF but got beaten so went for the closest one to the car park. Bloody hard first 300m but with it for day 33 of a find. #keepingthestreakalive
This was our last cache for the day on our first day caching for a while. After walking up the track for a while, it was good to see a kinda track though those prickly bushes, after following it for a while, we got to the rocky bit where the gps said the cache would be at. Sure enough, after a little searching, the cache was in hand. Signed log and returned. TFTC and the great spot.
Dropped in on this one on a jog around the sunrise track this morning.
Came straight here and was clear enough to see the snow caps in the distance, then stayed a minute to watch the sunrise and the full moon set.
Plenty of wildlife around first thing in the morning.
You'll find an animal track along the trail that leads you in through the thick scrub, the cache was an easy find and still in good condition
Thanks

I needed to get out of the house and get some fresh air, so I headed to sunrise track for a little walk. It was a beautiful winters day and stunning views.

Well the clouds kind of spoilt the views of this one this morning but the walk up and through the bush was magnificent, albeit a little damp. Made my way up the track and after a short detour from the main marked trail soon had the cache in hand. Many thanks Jamin Appleford for the hide and for bringing up and out this way to come and explore. The funny thing was on my return back to the cat the clouds parted and l could get great views back over towards Wang. TFTC
A really nice walk up here and surprised this has not been visited by more people.
After heading off from another cache nearby we followed some animal trails before finding the real trail although it felt we were walking the wrong way. Once we found the trail it was easy going and were soon at he where we quickly found the cache.
Thanks Jamin Appleford for the cache.
Found at 2:50 pm on 15/6/19.

We are surprised that there is not a lot more finds for this cache, we are the 10th to log and the cache has been out there for quite a few years. Hubby did the walk for our team with grummybump to find the cache, when they returned they both looked as if they had done a few hard yards but they did do several caches while they were up there. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort [:(!]

We enjoyed a nice medium 2 hour circuit here.
Enjoyed the quarry, the wildflowers and especially our favorite, the huge old trees.

#2058 After a gps brainstorming session and brunch with Harrowang in town, we looked at our caching calendar and realised today was a gap in finds. So en route to home we swung by the Warby's and made the climb up to grab this cache. Spring is certainly in the air, we had worked up a bit of a sweat and got the heart rate up a few notches by the time we got to gz! Lots of lovely wildflowers starting to make an appearance and still a fair bit of water running down the green ferny gullies making a beautiful sight at every turn. A clear day meant that views of Mt Buffalo were also superb. TFTC Jamin, took TB.

I first noticed this cache along with its partner a couple of days ago and I new that I would be going passed them today so I put them on my watch list hoping that nobody would go and find them.
I was needing a FTF for this month to keep my monthly streak going and it wasn't looking good as today I was heading to Queenland.
Through the week I got a notification that one of them was found but also that this one was still up for grabs, so I headed for GZ.
It was a nice walk from the parking waypoint, the sun was shining but it was still a bit cloudy over on the mountains, I eventually made it to GZ, I then stated to look around and after a little while I found the cache, I opened it up and retrieved the log book, opened it up and found that I was still unfound until now, I filled in the FTF position.
I then checked out the view, took some photos and then headed back down the track to another Trad that I had walked passed
**Thanks to Jamin Appleford for placing this cache.**

Always enjoy a walk in the Warby's and we were very pleased to see the sun when we awoke this morning! We had an important appointment to watch our grand daughter play netball this morning, so we had to defer our caching activity until this afternoon. An emergency sewer block job further delayed us, but FINALLY we got to walk the Sunrise Track and make the second mark in the log book at 3.15pm. Mt Buffalo was still shrouded in cloud, but there was lots of other scenery catching the sunlight. Took photos and left our Red Nebulas trackable. One day we will get up here to watch the sunrise or the sunset. #3768 TFTC Jamin
