Day seventeen of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
With Sunday's crappy weather all finished, we set of on the deadly treadlies to complete some more of the Barossa Trail. We drove to Lyndoch, and then rode to the start of the trail then back to the Bakery at Lyndoch for lunch.
After lunch we did a few more back towards Rowland Flat, and then a few odd ones.
A nice collection of caches, and a great ride.
Colour match could have been a bit better, but I suspect the paint has been worked upon.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19327. Day 17 of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. After a miserable day weather-wise yesterday it was back to the bicycles today with the hope of making a big dent in the Barossa Trail caches. We parked at Lyndoch and rode towards Gawler - starting at #40 and gathering all that were available until we finished at #1. 2 1/2 hours to do that and another 1/2 hour to ride back for our lunch stop. After lunch we did a few more before returning to base at Tanunda. A great day's ride and so many interesting cache hides. A quick find here as we rode past.
I have made comments on each of the caches that need a maintenance check.
Thanks LíB

Having my first post-Covid bike ride and feeling weary, so it made sense to regularly stop to pick up a few caches along the way. It’s nice to have variety of hides on a trail. TFTC.
Out in a beautiful winters day to finish off this series started on a previous visit in 2019. Thanks LiB
Needed a few more caches for the Signal's Labrynth souvenirs so headed out to grab a few more before the deadline. GPS was spot on for this one. Tftc

This is definitely a high muggle area & stealth is required in retrieval & returning of the cache.
The log was signed & dated by both myself & geo hubby Animal62.

This was the first full day of our our holiday in the Barossa and with a wine tour kicking off mid-morning we came out for a walk to try and get a few health credits ahead. I keep trying to tell my wine that you get automatic health credits just by finishing a bottle of wine.
What we weren’t ready for was the cold wind. We packed our beanies as a joke and here we are wearing them on the first day like any stupid tourist. tftc

Out on the Barossa Trail today during a break in the weather picking up a few more caches. Today we found #16 - 40 and a few other caches.
25 finds for today and 1 DNF.
A bunch of great hides and vast majority in good condition.

Found empty container lying on ground. Put small interim piece of paper in to log but will need maintenance. Tftc
Day 437 ( Sunday 8th ) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Greenock today. Going to finish off the Barossa trail run we started last time we were here. TFTC
This cache was found in dire straits; not correctly placed, bag 5m away in two pieces, log ripped up into multiple pieces. I’ve placed a temp log that will last for a dozen or so visitors, maybe somebody else could also help out here.
TFTC and series.

Thanks, LíB for your considerable efforts on these bike tracks. Hopefully, we will be able to return one day to complete them. This is our last day of caching in SA before racing back to the West before the borders close.
This cache was found on our Geocaching road trip from Perth to Millicent for the now-cancelled, GeoVenture2020 Event.

Back on the trail today
Noice and early before the temps climbed into the high thirties
And this time I was armed with a bicycle [:o)]
No need to dismount for this cache
A bit of a stretch and the logbook was in paw

Having a fun day out with Csaba!, SupaOrange and Malco!. This was a fun series with all different hides. Turtle Out.
Started this cache series a few years ago. Today I was back in force with Malco!, SupaOrange and SupaTurtle. Great to see a series where all the caches are unique. Thanks
Such a nice day for finally doing this trail. Thirty seven down many to go. Cheers cobber
Last day of the promo and I needed 33 finds to grab the final souvenier. What else to do but hit up a power trail. I managed to walk the round trip of 18 kilometers in around four and a half hours, A little further than I'd planned, but a few DNF's here and there stretched the journey a bit further than I'd hoped.
This was find number 30 of 33 for the day for me. TFTC LíB!

A quick road side stop.
A big day out today with a total of 47 finds, all found all over the place, from Brighton in Adelaide to blanchetown through the Barossa and the back roads. Not the best day to cache with continual rain though.
Thanks for the cache

Today we headed north from where we are staying to lookfor caches along the Jack Bobridge Trail. We looked for over 45 of them and found nearly all. We want to go back and look again for the two that we missed now that we have had the opportunity to read other logs. The caches today that we visited were outstanding. There is such a variety of high quality hides. So much care and effort has gone into the design, construction and placement of the caches. It was a very enjoyable caching experience.
This cache was a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks 3LG for this cache and a very high quality series.

Together with jsson on a daytrip north of Adelaide up to Gawler. We logged as IJ.
It was a very hot day with temperatures up to 37 degrees C. We did only take one 2,5km walk and gave priority to car caching instead. We soon found a very nice trail which we followed until we had to break.
Thanks for placing a cache here for me to enjoy and find.

Found while out with Go Grandys,This is a great series with a lot of the caches making you work hard to find them.TFTC
Last find for us on the trail unfortunately. The rain was now constant and heavy and we were cold and soaked.
Stayed the night nearby but in morning weather was still no good so we decided to drive towards the Yorke Peninsula in the hope the weather was better.

Day two of my trip to Adelaide and surrounding areas with tmann421.
Weather still pretty marginal, but finding numbers whenever we can between rain showers.
By the time we reached here the weather had turned really nasty and we were both wet and cold so unfortunatly had to give up for the day.
Have really enjoyed these hides and apreciate the time and effort that goes into customising these containers

Staying in Williamstown for some orienteering events. Edvern and I out for some caching in our spare time. Enjoying the variety of cache construction in this series. TFTC
Found with Tramper Ted after our orienteering event today. We enjoyed the Jack Bobridge trail caches so much yesterday that we decided to find a few more (by car). Thanks 3LG, again these hides were clever, very varied, well crafted and some were a challenging test of our observational skills. Greetings from New Zealand.
We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Now camped in Tanunda. Today the GeoCruiser was booked into Toyota. So what does any Geoaddict do when they have no 4x4, come rain, wind and freezing temperatures? .... they jump on the GeoBike of course.
Mr Felix started at #79 at 8.30am and finished at #1 at 4.10pm, he was unable to complete the series due to trail works where the track is closed to all traffic for 1km. Picking up a few other caches along the way he managed to complete 75/79 attempted caches today.
What an awesome trail and amount of work to place and maintain. Definitely a fan of the series, so creative and tricky, such a range of quality hides. Helped out with some log replacements where necessary.

Eye spied, Eye found, Eye logged, Eye left trinket. Cache replaced in hiding spot. TFTC !
Great winter day with sun out, so with the partner busy with work stuff, decided to drive to Lyndoch and do some cycling around the Jack Bobridge path collecting caches, all while hunting for Hidden Creatures.
Was doing the Jack Bobridge in reverse commencing with #40, and worked my way down to #20 before having to turn back. Was expecting a power trail, but instead these caches were incredibly well done, and easily worth a few FPs awarded.
Its always good when you make the stop, and there is only one spot this cache could be. Sure enough, success. Retrieved the TB coin from this cache, and had wanted to perform a swap, but my other TB couldn’t fit. Cheers 3LG.
