Logs
Went out for a bit of a walk with the wife and dogs and grabbed a couple of caches in the Olinda golf course we couldn't get previously.TFTC
I dont normally hike this part of the Dandenongs but today I did and I had a great time checking out the area , so I was very happy to grab this one. Easily found.
Nice sheltered spot on a hot autumn day. Gosh this gold course is pretty. Love the container too. Tftc.
Lovely area and walk to HZ. Great misdirection here, spent a while barking up the wrong tree
Found at 12:07 PM GAFF1.Spotted the massive tree from way back - but then realised I had to go somewhere else to search amongst other dead wood. Thanks to MinckaFeedback: This cache container is not a Regular but a small - its a 200 ml Sistema container.
We visited Olinda Public Golf Course this Saturday in early spring. The pleasant weather with its ideal temperature made the day comfortable and inviting. The serene atmosphere of the course, coupled with the lush green surroundings and vibrant rhododendron flowers, created a soothing environment. It was an incredibly relaxing experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks for the cache Mincka, on my circuit of the golf course. Found and signed the log, seems I was the first to find this one, or at least signed the replacement log. I was walking off and passed a location more in line with the hint, and I found another container. So I signed this log too.
Maybe the other is a mystery or multi cache. I shall have to investigate.
Regards from Victourer

TFC ok so it’s taken me till cache 3 to work out I don’t have to look for golf balls
Got it! @Mincka thanks so much for replacing it and reassuring me that i am not a complete muppet and wondering around aimlessly. Not so many people around the golf course today with some very strong winds so less need to not worry about being observed. I actually pushed the cache a deeper towards the back of the are to reduce chance of muggles getting it. TFTC
I see this cache has been smuggled previously, and at what i thought was the hiding spot, there was obvious disturbance and no sign of the cache. Possibly me being a muppet so will keep an eye out on these logs to see if is found in the near future.
My one DNF for the day. I had a good poke and search at two things at GZ that suited the hint even broaden my search but could not find this cache.
Find #7/9 with Fitzelfleas. Beaut day for a walk in the hills, and a quick find for this one today. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely area.
I think this is MIA. Pretty sure I found the correct location but upon investigation all I found was a pen. No cache container or anything else to be found.
An easy one on a cold cup day caching in Olinda. Great views and this one seems a bit away from where most people are walking their dogs. Thanks.
Thx for this one, but upon reaching into my bag for my log-signing pen, I discovered the previous cache in my bag
Oh that’s right!
I found that cache as people approached with their inquisitive puppies. So I just slipped it into my bag, but forgot to set it back into position before we moved on!
Supportive husband said “oh well you’ll get your steps up!

Even though it was night time, the lack of light pollution allowed for a great night for star gazing.
This is the first time Steve & I have had the pleasure of exploring this disused Golf Course and are so glad we chose this location for our geocaching day. Seems we were the only ones without a dog and boy, did they all look like they were having the time of their lives running around this area.
Up and down hills, we enjoyed every minute of our walk, especially when we found the caches.
With thanks to the hint, it was a nice quick find.
Thanks Mincka for placing this cache and the series in this beautiful location.

No leeches here luckily! (Pro tip, seagulls like myself Verry much dislike leeches.) Cashe was out in the open so we covered it up a little more, tftc Mincka!
Worked my way back up to this one on a damp afternoon with a surprising number of muggles still around.
A neat quick find.

I was out on the trail of some DM caches which took me passed a few from this series in the old golf course.
it’s interesting walking around these old fairways.
It was an easy find once at GZ.

Found a baby wattle bird while looking. It’s a fledgling and we saw the parent come and feed it.

Up here in the hills this afternoon to find a Mystery cache just near the bottom of the old course so I thought I would grab the last couple of trads as well.
A glorious afternoon for a walk
Time for a rest in the shade and to sign another log.
**Thanks for placing this cache Mincka**

TFTC!! What an awesome location surrounds this find. Never would have ventured down past the park.
A fantastic day to explore this area for the first time. Very muggly here today and of course the muggles walking in front of me decided to plonk themselves just near GZ. They were keeping an eye on me but I managed to use the environment to maintain some stealthiness. TFTC
Nice to have a bit more freedom to get out and about for these finds! Geokids made an easy grab on this occasion.
