Today was one of those days where I should not have tried to go caching. Everything was unsuccessful and frustrating. More so that we detoured and wasted about 2 hrs in an already long trip. The little turmoils were over it. I was over it. After a few dnfs, I hit HOME on the gps and we were on our way. I should have checked the previous activity before driving here. By this time I was aiming for a quick find so that I would be successful fining something today. No, this wasn't it. The long fence post has the holes in it, but no cache.

25-Sep-24
Unfortunately no luck for us today

20-Aug-24
Couldnt find this at all. Coords pointed inside a barb wire fence.

I'm on a journey from the Sunshine Coast up to Gympie looking for caches. Now I'm on my way following the Gympie Whereigo to Amamore. Of course I had to stop here to see if I could find a cache. On parking nearby, it was not the most subtle of hides. I'm fairly certain that this isn't the original cache, because surely it would be slightly camouflaged.! I signed the log and placed it back as found but I hope it stays. Thanks for the cache.

Quick find on way home from Gympie, found with a couple of extra caches.

19/12/2023 Find #6761KBreeAHH and I were on a fun couple of nights away before Christmas, enjoying the peace of Amamoor, where we could enjoy a couple of nice walks with her pupper. Of course there were also some caches to grab in the area as we went. We were staying just down the road from this cache, so of course we were going to make the stop here at some stage during our visit. We parked the car and could see the cache as we wandered over. A quick signing and a moment or two to take in the view. Then we were off to start the days adventures. Thanks for the cache gomoo.

Early morning start on day 3 of this caching trip away. Spent the night just outside of Gympie after finishing another leg in the challenge that Im currently working on. This morning I have a bit of time left to work on the next leg.I am rive at ground zero, find a safe way lace to park and then make my way to ground zero. I quickly find the cache, extract the log and make my mark.I return the cache to the hiding spot and then back to the van and off to the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers

It was time to head for home after a lovely overnight camp at Cedar Grove with wombles. Made sure to stop off here on the way to create another smiley for our maps. You don’t see many of those funky old shelters anymore.

Thanks for the cache gomoo Big Grin

19-Sep-22
Nyssaflutterby and I had camped at Cedar Grove for the night and decided to find some caches on the way home.
A nice old shelter here. Not much of a view, the trees are probably hiding what used to be a view.
Cache was quickly located.

Completing some caches in the Aramoor area today clearing out the leftovers in the area.

13-Aug-22
Well today is second rope-off day ready for the 40th anniversary Gympie Muster, and we’re doing just that ! But on the way back out we have a list of caches to try for. Unfortunately some had DNF’s and hadn’t been visited for a long time. Given the wet conditions and various activity logs we left some for some other time maybe ……………….. Nice place to lookout on a good day. Fairly “atmospheric today”. Container is brittle and half missing. No log, so we put a small log sheet inside a little ziplock bag there to keep it going for a little while. Thanks gomoo for this one.

Taking a run into Amamoor State Forest to rescue a couple of teenagers camping in the rain. Smile
Just happened to have time to grab a few random caches on the way in and this was the first.
Nice quick find.
Great view across the countryside and the barking dog across the road fortunately didn't bring any muggle response to our presence.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Nearing the end of the run of caches along this patch of town, I pulled up here and decided the best thing to do would be to put the car between GZ and the local residences. WIth that done, I jumped out and commenced the hunt, where the container was in hand after a very brief check of the area. [^]

I etched my name in the log and tucked the cache back in place.

Cheers gomoo.

Heading back to our camp nearby from a day spent in Gympie, we made a detour to the Lookout here. We were greeted by a very enthusiastically barking dog over the road whilst we took in the lovely view (except for the electricity pole right in the middle of it). The container has no lid but was found safe and the log was still dry.TFTC gomoo

On a long weekend vacay with friends at Tuchekoi when we decided to head out for a scenic day trip. After visiting Dagun Station and seeing the Mary Valley Rattler, we made a quick find at this stop. Three out of four members in our car grew up on the coast and took a trip down memory lane remembering similar shelters in bright yellow dotted around Mooloolaba in the 80's and 90's! TFTC

27-May-21

Got a phone call early in the week from Chamad to see if I could be the taxi driver. Chamad made a list for some caches he was chasing and some Tree Fishing ones to. Plus 2 events and 7 cache types
I found 27 caches today, the break down was 20 traditional, 2 multi, CITO, Wherigo, earthcache, mystery and Community event.

Sorry for the generic log.

A fun weekend away with Davidwazza, exploring Gympie and surrounds! TFTC!

02-May-21
This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to make the trip north to Gympie, primarily to attend the Community Celebration and CITO events organised by AtTheLakeHouse. We had only driven through Gympie previously, so it was a chance to sight-see the area. Highlights included Yandina's Ginger Factory, Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum, and the Mary Valley Rattler train.

Today, we started out the day with a breakfast, and then proceeded south-west to a small cluster of geocaches, filling in time prior to the scheduled CITO. We made the drive to Amamoor to time with the CITO to find a very clean park already, and conveniently, the Mary Valley Rattler train rolled in, providing a great photogenic moment. We then found a few geocaches south-west with the *Amamoor Muster Trail*, and then looped back to Gympie via Kandanga. Following lunch, we then made a short drive north of Gympie finding a few geocaches, and finished out the day with the Community Celebration event, and a southerly homewards drive.

We took this loop as we headed to the CITO event nearby, and made a stop here for this geocache. Some nice views of the landscape from GZ, and it turned out to be a quick find. The cache container was missing its lid, and the logbook appears to have previously suffered with water damage, so it sounds like a CO maintenance visit is probably required soon. Thanks gomoo for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

A day out with Brislions on an educational journey collecting caches. The night before and I had set up a run with a variety of caches and a range of caches types that we required for certain challenge caches. He had a couple of extra ones to add that he found as we past. We collected a few not on the list as we passed them too and a couple of lab series that we passed as well. It was a good day with a wide variety of caches collected. Thanks for the chauffeuring today Brislions, it was a trip to remember.

We arrived at the event a little late but then started on a journey of collecting caches in the area and headed up the muster trail. We found all caches in the area and each are in good condition. We signed the logs of all and replaced caches as we found them. The hints helped with these caches, thanks for placing them here.

Day 2 at Kandanger, After a lovely breakfast we ventured out with Liz & Bruce, PPRASS and JLBL. To do some pre caching before the CITO.

Found at 9:37 AM GAFF1 in the company of Liz and Bruce, Snakepitters and Team JLBL.
We decided to do the nearby caches on our way to the CITO and found that everything was wet after the rain from last night and this morning. Still we plunged into the high grass and grabbed the Berocca tube which surprisingly has managed to survive after nearly 5 years Surprised
Thanks gomoo

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid.

I was caching with Snickersallan, Patrol14, hatzofff, E Smiley, grannysmith1947, and TMZ 59, giving rise to the team name of SPREGTH. Although not fully operative yet, I was able to tag along to most of the caches we found. Some Events brought us into this area.

Pre-event day, and some nice finds while heading back to our Air BnB.

Log signed and cache replaced as found on May 1st 2021. TFTC, gomoo.

01-May-21
Had an enjoyable time with the SPREGTH (for Snickersallan, Patrol14, RoddyC, E_Smiley, GrannySmith1947, TMZ59 and Hatzofff) Team. So happy to meet them again just like the good old days.
Thanks for the cache gomoo.

Lovely drive up to find this neat hide, unfortunately the views were poor today due to the rain but would like to come back for a visit some other time.

The dog across the road woke the entire neighbourhood.

Out on my geosteed to explore Amamoor while staying in nearby Kandanga for the weekend. I’ve walked up this hill before on training runs and I tell you, it’s just as steep when riding (ah pushing) a bicycle. This is a delightful spot for a cache.

Cache has no lid so water has damaged the log and faded names away. I will see whether so can find anything suitable to replace the cache with while I’m in Gympie today. I know it’s the COs responsibility but we are all participants in this fun game.

Now, I better leave before this dog loses his voice. TFTC

22-Aug-19
I was looking forward to this one, the name suggested it was gonna be worth the detour.

And it sure was. Arrived at the top and the view was well worth it! It was a nice and easy find with the cache quickly in hand. There was a muggle family on the other side of the road getting ready for the day but was able to park the geomobile in between which mde for a stealthy find.

Thanks gomoo, great spot and thoroughly deserved a cache Smile

I had a coffee today at the Kandanga Kitchen. A great spot to look at the farm store and have a cuppa and cake. So I thought I'd go for a drive and have a look at the Amamoor/Dagun Lookout. Still some trees in front that stop some of the view to the east, but a nice spot on top of a hill. So I made a quick grab for the cache.

Hi Gomoo

I found the cache very easily today as the camouflage on the lid has just about come off. It is hard to push back in and the paper has just about come off. I couldn't get it in all the way.

In the area for a 2nd visit, with reinforcements. Headed over to where the compass arrow was pointing and spotted it straight away! How could we have missed this one last time? Very strange....
A bit hard to get out, but with a bit of a push and a wriggle, it finally came free. Quick sign and back in position.
