Hi there Robmc,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so the cache is being temporarily disable - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond to this enquiry in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers (more's the pity), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
You need to post a note to the page (within 14 days) explaining the situation and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
Be sure to indicate **the actual date that you expect to have it fixed** so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please **post a Write Note log every 4 to 6 weeks,** so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, it's better for you to decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,

Found the likely spot, but no cache in site, search all over the area with no luck. Lots of traffic with the fine weather, think this may have been muggled.
Find # 9984
Making the most of Holidays and being able to travel. I decided on a 4 day trip that seen me head up to Swan Hill then down via Lake Boga, Kerang, Koondrook, Cohuna, Leitchville, Mt Terrick Terrick NP, Corop, Colbinabbim Rushworth, Whroo and finally Nagambie (then back home to St.Arnaud). Lots of back tracks taken and lots of dust to clean out of the ute. It was over 1250km travelled and flying solo on this trip I had lots of fun finding the caches.
I took a couple more wedges out of my 360Deg “finds from home” map and ticked off a couple of caches that I have heard about that were on my “to find” list.
There was a huge Variety of caches found from bird boxes to Fridges, Wall mountable tool boxes to Eclipse tins, with the odd ammo can thrown in. A couple of head scratching gadget caches chewed up some time but will be memorable for time to come. Numerous puzzles that I had solved i managed to find and I even managed to make good on a couple of DNFs, and add some more DNFs to my list. Even though I was out on my own I still had to use a couple of PAFs to get by. Thanks guys.
A great piece of history kept here.

Out for a drive to Rushworth, we used the backroads to come home via Whroo.
I loved the information about the Puddling Machine. Thanks for bringing me here Robmc.

I don't know why I didn't pick this cache up on the numerous times I have visited and stayed in Whroo over the years detecting. But I know I have finally signed this log with the most important person in my life, beside me. Thank you Robmc for providing and maintaining this cache.
Don't like the snake skin, but easy find even though we couldn't access the details due to poor coverage
Looked everywhere but not where it was, obviously. GPSr all over the place due to the trees. Would it be possible for you to do a maintenance check due to the number of DNFs?
We looked high and low but came up empty handed. No luck for us here today. Hopefully it will be here when next in the area, as it was a great area to explore.
Omegaman1971
The Omega Empire
@ 6243 finds
Looked in all the obvious and possible spots with no luck.

Another really interesting place to visit. Thanks for placing this cache and showing us this area.
After paddling around Lake Nagambie yesterday, I needed a break, and with high winds, it added to my decision not to go back again today. So I headed to Whroo and surrounds for some terra firma caching. Quick find in an interesting location.
Many thanks to Robmc for the cache.
Many thanks to Robmc for the cache.
Accurate coordinates and a common style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Robmc for this cache and the others in the area highlighting the mining history.
We found this one on our way to start the whroo series. There was a muggle in the area panning for the golden stuff and said that he was having a little luck. Whilst muggle was panning away we were able to grab and sign the log. So 5 on our way we went and TFTC from the inspectorrexteam
Left home of Wodonga to Kyneton to attend a show at Redesdale where my sister is a member of the Redesdale Revellers.
A great opportunity to spend time with my 3 siblings and grab some caches over the weekend. A total of 30 actually. No DNF's and all caches were either in good to fair condition with nothing to report otherwise. I had a wonderful time solo on unfamiliar backroads, history lessons, and places of interest. THANKS R

I actually found this & most of the caches in november 2017, but failed to log them. I decided to find them all again. I have a photo taken at this puddling machine in 1962 with friends when I was 17.........I am now 73, my, how time flies, I also climbed down a lot of these mines, including the now concreted over Balaclave mine. It looked so different then. So, for the memories you have evoked.... a favourite point added.
Taking our son on a history tour of my home town as a child. He thought the horse must have to of been short to fit in the puddling machine.
Out for a look around this historical area and thought what better way than to cache? Quick stop here for this easy find. Found with Kremmen and Colinw178. Logged as 3FOM. Tftc
Getting to see quite a bit of the gold mining process through these caches. Thanks Robmc.
On the way north with 6hinemoa2 and 08151605 to complete the Whroo series. Distracted some nearby fishermen to retrieve the cache. Great that these are surviving to show us some of the history of the goldfields. Thanks Robmc
Well there had to be one of these nearby didn't there. I think it was here that we had to distract fishermen before we could retrieve the cache.
Knew what to look for here as we do live near Ballarat Goldfields.

On our way to visit family we attempted to do some drivebys, relying on the car air conditioning to keep us going in this incredible heat. Thanks for highlighting this area that we otherwise wouldn’t have noticed. Thanks for the cache and interesting history.
Enjoying driving through this area and finding some very interesting historical places in the forest. While I knew the theory of puddling I had never seen the actual equipment before TFTC Robmc
Had an awesome day traveling north to an unchartered part of Victoria, picking up caches that took us to historic locations giving us a great overview of the gold mining in the area.
We have seen one of these many times at Sovereign Hill but never out and about in the bush.
Thanks for showing us here today Robmc

Interesting the places that caches take you to. This was fun and a good find while caching with goingplaces2 TFTC.
We found this cache while staying in the area and doing some caching with ilook4geo. We really enjoyed finding these historical features and it was caching that brought us to see them. Finding the actual cache was not a problem and both names were soon added to the list of finders to indicate our visit. Thank you to Robmc for placing this cache and bringing us to this area.
On our way to sunny acres farm in rushworth for our little man's 2yr birthday adventure.
Our second visit.
As I'm navigator i took hubby n fam thru Whroo.....
What a coincidence.... caches!!!
Thanks for showing us the puddling machine although at first glance i thought it said pudding machine!!!
Still good though

TFTC out with Crack n Lee Lee & 2As for the day exploring the area & getting a few caches. Interesting area - boy they had to work hard in the early days
Another quick park and grab. Great spot and yet another great history lesson. You can just imagine the tough times the fortune seekers went through here. TFTC
For ages, dalerious had been saying that he wanted to do the trail of caches in the Whroo area and I'd recently left a couple of caches there so that I'd have something to find on that day! [^]
Today was that day and so we headed out for lots of fun in the scrub and I even managed to end up with 3 finds for the day
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby
I love the bush sights in Victoria [^] and the history and stories of the determination of the pioneers. [^]

Hi there Robmc.
We found your cache **"The Puddling Machine"** today. (This makes our find count 19106).
Today we headed out from Bendigo so we could attempt the "WHROO"series, plus any others we came across on our travels. We started at #21 & from there we proceeded to log caches up to #1 before heading back to camp. - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.
We found 28 caches today & DNF'd 0. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

First time I've seen one of these puddling machines. I love how caching takes me to some amazing and unexpected locations. Found with Claybol . Thanks for the cache .
