Logs
I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi FissieCrewThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
The found it logs are deceiving. There is no log that I can find. Just a lid. Searched for the base or log on the ground and or elsewhere but no joy today.
Found the end of the cache dangling, but unfortunately no log or tube. Will nerd to be replaced.
I had previously DNF'd this as there was very little of the container, but as many others have logged it as it is, I will too.I added an extra bit to it.
Finally after how many times looking? Got to turn my sad face into a smilie today when we walked on over to the fish and chips shop from our "camp site" to grab some chips. I was hanging out waiting with the geomutts and decided I may as well have another try at this one. It was so easy to find today! What the heck? Anyhow, glad I found it, finally!
I found this one by using an extraction tool I found in my cachemobile. The next and subsequent cachers need to exercise extreme care when removing the log sheet from the hidey-hole. There is no cache container.
The CO needs to do a maintenance check.

As others have said, it is missing an important part of the container. We took pics if necessary. Would be great if it could be replaced.
Found the fish twine and the screw top. No cache attached. Logged as found and photo taken
Found what's left of it, no magnet or cache only a lid on the string.
But I was here.
But I was here.
Hallo, auf einem Road-Trip über die Südinsel Neuseelands auch diesen Cache gut gefunden.

Found line and base of container. I tried re-baiting the hook but too lite to work properly
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at the NZMCA Park in Kaikoura for the next couple of days … today we decided to go for a walk into town to see if we could sort out an Ad Lab … the weather was ideal, warm but overcast with the threat of rain … all said & done, an ideal caching day … with permission, we’ll claim a find on this cache … location & remnants of the cache were there (nylon cord & top of the screw top container) but the cache itself is missing & no log book available … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #3,667 for us.
Plastic bag with logbook felt down (seem it slipped down further after it has been pushed in again. Definitely not reachable for anybody anymore. Best regards from Stuhr / Germany
A quick find with Tregearp on an evening stroll. All in good condition - despite the missing bison. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find with SJT_NZ while going for a walk and scoping out options for dinner. All in good order
As noted before, part of the cache is now probably down in the depths, so the cache is just the cap and, now, an attached log that I signed. Thanks for the welcome even if the cache is a bit degraded.
Trouvé fil et couvercle mais pas la boite. Maintenance de dépannage fait avec un ziplock et logbook.

Found part of cache. Looks like it's needs maintenance quickly as only cap hanging so nothing to sign off.
Having a milestone birthday this weekend, my aim was 50 caches. That was too much for one day so the 50 finds were spread over the celebratory weekend, 1/2 on my way South and 1/2 on my way North.
This was not one of them. I found part of a familiar looking container though.

Thank you for this cache, jofish3.
I have just spend the night at the MCA campsite a short distance down Beach Rd; good to find my 1st cache of the day on my way into town.

checked out a few spots the reread the hint stood back and all became obvious. clever hide. tftc
Waiting by our bikes for our fish and chips. Thought it was going to be too busy to look but suddenly we were only ones not in cars. Quick dash and super QEF. Loved the hide. Pvsl to make it stealthy and food was ready, too. NINO TFTC
Most of my time was spent rewinding the log. Love these little things! Road was quite busy this morning but it’s not a problem with the finding and replacing. No tool needed for this one. TFTC
Was staying at NZMCA camp. Found on 2nd March. Had to revisit it with tools. It was wedged between the 2 posts!! Popped it back where I thought it should live.
Cheers

Time for a wee family summers holiday; Kaikoura, Picton and Nelson.
A wee detour to grab a cache or two. No one around so quickly cornered and signed. Thanks.

Taking the baby on his first road trip. This spot makes for a rest stop. Tftc.
Great little rest spot. Stopped here on the way south for Christmas, and got a cache while we were at it Thanks for the hide!
After a late start this morning we finally arrived in the Kaikoura area for a well deserved and delayed break. With one thing and another, we haven't managed to get away in the caravan since February so were happy to finally get on the road. With the weather rubbish in most places we came back to Kaikoura to clean up what we missed last year.
Just collected this one on way back to caravan while there was no one around. A nice easy find, Took back to car to sign out of the wind then replaced as found. tftc

After a weekend in Hanmer we decided to bring the caravan to the new ish NZMCA park here in Kaikoura. After a bike ride - it was now time for a wander down here to this cache...
There was muggles eating fish and chips nearby - but standing at the right angle I made the find discretely - TFTC jofish3

Staying at the nearby NZMCA park, glorious day fora walk down to the shop, and a reasonably quick find after doing a couple of laps of the sign
Staying at NZMCA so walked down to get this one in the dark as need some night finds.
Biking the Kaikoura trail today and grabbing a few caches on the ride. Weather looked reasonable this morning and we thought we could manage 45k before rain started. Good views but some clouds up high blocked full views of the Southern Alps.
Quick find here. Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache Jofish3

Day 1 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Caught the ferry to Picton this morning. Drove to Kaikoura this afternoon and located 8 caches en route including two near our parkover base for the night. This was one of those two. A quick find. #4026. TFTC.
Mrs SoBad set out to buy petrol and find the caches nearby we had not been able to look for last trip. When this was found she did realise it would have been findable then - but it was fine to add to today's tally.
Thanks.
Thanks.

We arrived yesterday and saw this cache. Last night we went for fish and chips but were tired. Today after a big bike ride we stopped to find this. Nicely concealed here. Thanks for the placement
No sign of anything in back of sign. Several people have mentioned fishing line, but no sign of that either. Might have been muggled????
Yes found. Decided to hang around for a few extra days hoping for this to be found. Thank you
Arrived at GZ searched for the cache but to no avail.
There is a fishing nylon hanging loosely with nothing on it.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now to the next one!*
Easy find, the fishing line is easy to spot!

7th finder on this log, my lucky number! Only person round at this time of night was the local policeman.
