One of the caches found on our way back from Chch to Blenheim today.
Hmm, not sure why this is till on the map as a smiley as I have found this one before and in the same place. It doesn’t seem to be a new cache listing though, although the container is different and maybe a sign is missing?
Anyway, previous knowledge meant I could walk straight to it and now it’s ticked off. TFTC jofish.

Was going to stop here on the way up to Wellington a couple of days ago but it was lunch time and there were a number of smaller muggles about. Stopped to ‘check’ the trailer on the way back and made an easy find. Logbook pretty much full so added a new sheet of write in the rain paper.
Thanks for the cache, FissieCrew

I was driving northwards and, after a short bike ride just south of Kaikoura, decided to stop for one or two more caches before continuing on my way. Found this one after a moment or two. There doesn’t seem to be a sign in place any more. #4999. TFTC
Waited for school bus to leave then went to find cache. Log wet and full managed to write on the edge. Thanks for this cache jofish3.
A weekend is a good time to stop off for a cache by a school but even so there was a bit of activity going on behind the fence. Sorted out where the sign used to be and cache was located. Log signed and everything returned as found. tftc
I had parked my snail shell up in the nearby NZMCA park and zoomed back in my cachemobile as all the parking areas for the caches were a tad small for my complete rig.
The sign is no longer in place.
Cheers for the cache.

Woohoo a long weekend and a good excuse to get away ...I usually just drive through kaikoura but this time I've decided to stay for 3 nights on a caching mission...
Managed to knock off work early and beat the traffic and still have a bit of daylight..so dropped off my bags at the hotel and headed a bit further north...
Nice quick find tftc

Good pull off area. Glad it was a Saturday not like yesterday when we arrived at a school right on 3 pm. Managed to get muggles by someone getting their mail.
#8766. I have been down in Kaikoura this week on a work trip. After the trip was over we are driving back north to Picton to catch the Cook Strait ferry. I stopped here to find the cache as I need a few finds on this date. All quiet here in the late morning. Nice quick find of the cache. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks jofish3 for hiding it here.
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now onto the next one!*

On a road trip with NZ Bozzy , heading back south after a delay of 90mins for the ferry we don't have much time to stop for caches but grabbed this quickly.
Main reason was to grab the North Island TMTG caches and some oldies. And also to celebrate a birthday with a 0

Thanks quick stop. Still in ferry traffic. It’s taking a while today to get out of it. Only going just south of Christchurch so we will get there sometime.
Had two weeks in the north island collecting the TMGT cache plus missing months and D/T grid spaces. Travelling with Kiscardi.

Thanks jofish3 for placing this cache ??
It was not at the first rock I tried, but then I spotted a better one and soon had the cache signed and returned while locals tooted as they left the school.

A quick find and I believe that a cousin of my daughter-in-law is teaching here or starting next term
I've planned to stop for this cache several times, but it just hasn't worked out for me (too tired, too windy, too much traffic, etc.). Today spacenarwhale and I were on the way to the library and decided we were stopping here no matter what. They made the find while I took travel bug photos.
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
A quick stop on our way to Christchurch to see family. Soon had cache in hand. Thanks FissieCrew for the cache.
Caching my way to Kaikoura today.
Glad that it's Sunday today. I may not have been keen to stop here during school hours.
The school sure is an old one.

Number five on the trip home of the anticlockwise Renwick-Hanmer-Renwick loop. I timed it perfectly for a gap in the traffic and found it, signed it and returned without a vehicle passing by. Then, leaving the park, all the cars came and came and came. It must have been a release from a stop-go along the coast.
I am on a bit of a getaway this week. Having a domestic holiday and road trip in lieu of some international travel plans that were cancelled due to the strange time we find ourselves in. Today I am heading from Nelson to Kaikoura via Blenheim, finding a few caches along the way. Found the cache in the second place I searched. TFTC, Biggles.
It took quite a bit of hunting to locate this one in the rocks and vegetation. Found at GL beside one of the larger boulders. Found an open broken container with no lid and a damaged log book lying on the grass. I had a spare pill container and waterproof log sheet so have fixed this up for future visitors.
I was glad there was no one around as I spent some time searching in the wrong spot! Lid is missing. TFTC!!
I headed down to Kaikoura from Blenheim today. The main purpose was the Geo Tour Caches. Found a few others along the way as well.
#5 of the day...Caching with Sidewaze on our way home after a family Christmas in Christchurch. TFTC
Found a plastic box under the rock but missing the lid and the log. Left a new sheet of waterproof paper as a replacement log. TFTC
Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
Still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored. .
Starting from Kaikoura, this day (#21) was dedicated to drive up north to Blenheim along the beautiful, scenic route #1 at the coastline [^] - a new experience .
The weather was again blessed with blue skies
Was happy to visit quite a few geo-treasures that seamed the route - just like this one:
Was not able to identify a 'main rock' but found a nice box at one of the rocks, although leaking a logbook . So - added a piece of paper for future finders .
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining this cache and best regards from Germany!

All nice and clean here with good space to pull over in our motor home. Thanks for the placement jofish3
Out and about on a road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find. Merry Christmas and TFTC.
A prickly bit of protection on that one! Got stabbed by a few pointy bits of holly before it was retrieved. Thanks on onwards south. Cheers
Midweek in school time last time we passed - and didn't stop. Today was Sunday and the area was clear. Second to sign the log today as well. We left a trackable because this was large enough.
A cute logbook as well.
Thanks.

Thanks.
On our 18th day in New Zealand we travelled from Kaikoura to Picton. It was a short distance and therefore we had ample time for a number of caches along the route. The route itself was very interesting, particularly in the first part where we could still see the damages from the earthquake and the process of making the routes new. Due to that fact certain caches which we wanted to do were still not able to get. Due to the many caches we searched we do more or less one log for all. Thanks to all the cache owners to provide and maintain all these. Those we looked for we could all find well, meaning also that we checked beforehand and those that were not found recently we left out. TFTC and greetings from Switzerland
Today is our 2nd day in Kaikouro. This is a stunningly beautiful place. We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 24 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ. Quick stop at GZ. Found at 4:17 PM. Thank you jofish3 for placing and maintaining this cache.
The last time we considered looking for this cache, it was near school closing time, and there were several waiting parents parked outside. Today our timing was better, and the area was clear, although we're sure we were observed from a nearby classroom with a music lesson on. The cache was then a quick easy find. TFTC
Found on a trip to Blenheim. Finding a few caches on the way (almost) makes going there worthwhile. Cheers
Our last few days on holiday, enjoying the sun, the caches.
Thanks to all the cache hiders.

Since this was a Saturday there were school children to hinder our search. A quick find with a good hint.
+ a glass pebble, - nothing.

Being a relief teacher with a campervan and a supportive family, I decided it was time to make use of the school holidays. I stayed the night at the Top 10.
The end of a lovely stay. I will be back.
My last find today.

#15342. The kids in the playground were too busy to take much interest in what we were up to (and luckily we had a few shrubs between us and them). Quick find. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker as we head home from Blenheim to Christchurch after an enjoyable long weekend.
It was lunch time when we stopped, so there were people nearby but no-one took any notice of us. A quick find - thanks for a good sized container. TFTC.

Needed to pour quite a load of water out of the container first, but logbook in its zip is still quite okay ...
