Searched for this one twice but no luck. As I was looking the second time the young farmer who owned the property pulled up to ask what I was doing. He was out driving trying to get his young son to sleep. Explained as he had never heard of geocaching. He told me that the windmill was used in a Russell Crowe film called ‘The Water Diviner’. So there you go. No find but a bit of info.
Quick find whilst wandering around the lower Mid-North

I was staying at World's End camping ground for a few days with some muggle friends before we headed to Broken Hill. Today we were going for a drive into Burra and we stopped for a few caches on our travels. [^]
We were on our way back to camp but had to make a small detour to get this one on our way. Yes the poor windmill certainly has seen better days.
Thanks for the cache Moneydork.

Quick find at GZ but maybe the strong winds have straightened the post, love seeing the iconic windmills dotted around the country

On the way home to Clare from Mount Gambier via Mildura Valentine’s Day event but another dirt detour to grab another cache but we were puzzled when we got there as the fence post had chsnged from what was maybe a leaning post the post lay on the ground with new corner post. We searched old post contacted CO but as backing away noticed something and looks like the person who did the post put the cache back. So we found signed and emailed Co to tell it was there. TFTC
So the windmill isn't working anymore !! [:o]
Maybe a dust devil took it out ??
I found a convenient spot to lean nearby,
but there wasn't a cache there !!
Then I spied another spot that was doing the leaning for me,
and found me a cache

Found with SupaTurtle and Csaba! Support for the E2E11 Heysen Crew. Tra La Laaa
We got to within 30 metres of this one but then were faced with large puddles on both splits of the road. Mr Beetle stopped and worked on turning the van while I walked to GZ. The last 10 metres were very slippery but I managed to get there without falling on my ar*e.
Did have to scrape about an inch of clay like mud off my shoes before getting back in the van though.
A nice quick find though at this site that looks like it has been blown clean off!!!!
Thanks.

I suppose when it blows it blows. And a windmill without its blades really blows. TFTC
Making my annual pilgimage to Darwin for the Supercars, this time via Burra and the Oodnadatta Track. TFTC.
Out for some caches with Purrfect Di and Jack.
In the dark it looked eerily like some sort of Area 51 end of the world alien crash scene.
Thanks for putting this one out there Moneydork

Found on a great day out in the mid north with Gizmos Gang and hevwalker!! We started in the Brookfield Conservation Park ..... worked our way up to Morgan and across to Burra via the backroads near Worlds End. We then ended up in Hallett as the sun was setting. Absolutely perfect weather and we did some outstanding caches, saw some great scenery and visited some historic spots.
Easily located!!!! Thanks for the hide!!

Unusual to see the whole head of the windmill come adrift and we have to wonder if there was EVER any maintenance done on this one .
Found in the logical spot . TNLNSL.
Thanks Moneydork.

Alice trip 2017. Day 3. My third day of lone travel and it took me from Renmark to Burra via Barmara. A real mixture of caches today, including a great walk by the banks of the murray near the border. This was the last cache for the day. Time to camp down the road as World's End.
Thanks.

Got this one on our pilgimage to Alice Springs - it was a good opportunity to get out of the car for a while. Thanks to Moneydork for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Quick and easy find!
I enjoy finding these structures scattered around the back roads, but this one has seen better days.

With a couple of days off and beautiful weather, decided it was a perfect time to revisit the Southern Flinders Ranges [^]

Gave the cache to my husband to hold while I wrote in the log then noticed he had a spider on his hand.
Probably not a deadly one, but worth looking out for!

Pretty sure this windmill and location was used in the filming of the film "The Water Diviner" Obviously the blades would have been intact then! Love being out on these back roads. Thanks
After a day sitting at home doing computer stuff, all of us needed a drive in the country!
So Brodie, muggle partner and I debated where and then the journey made itself obvious
Two unfound geocaches called and with some open roads between them and us, an orange half moon rising over the horizon and stars shining above we had a great drive out and back
Saw one rabbit on the World's End Highway and reminisced on the many times we've ridden that road on our bikes..... usually doing just a tad more than the slow speeds we kept to tonight in case of roos
I found 5 caches and 2 of them were FTFs
Muggle partner just does not see tracks at night nor does he believe me when I say 'there's a track there!'
Hence I had to walk through cold wet grass to get to the cache from where he parked
We did get a good look at the windmill though and that is rather interesting!
Made a quick find of the cache at 1.59am (or thereabouts) and Woohoo! *FTF* could be heard
Then since muggle partner wanted some sleep and had told me that we couldn't be out all night, it was time to head for home
Bugga, I could have cleaned off this road otherwise
