I spent this muggy morning at the Saturday markets in Camden. I decided that I would head out a short distance to look for some caches today.By the time I reached GZ the clouds had burst and the rain, although light, was steady. So by the time I got back to the car, I was getting a little soggy!Cache was easy to locate once in the immediate area. Container is in good condition.Oh ... got all the way to the cache ... and my pen wouldn't work! You'll see the indent where I went over and over, trying to get the ink to work ... but alas ... no luck.TNLNSL.TFTC ...
On a trip out west stopped here on the way out to the lookout a quick find was made hereWith cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. A geocheck reveals that the container is damaged. Replaced with a slightly smaller one.;Will return with a larger one in the future. Good to go
Easy find but few muggles around. The cache container might need some TLC as it is broken. Nice easy cache along the way to the reservoir lookout.PS. If you do not like ant bites on your foot, wear closed in shoes before searching.
30,023. Found during an invasion of the 'Bargo up to Penrith' region on the Canberra Day long weekend with a great bunch of Cachers.
With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny, Nibbletricecakes, GLISS!, Contesta, EverestHigh and myself. After half the group did a nearby 2001 Multi, we all caught up and hit the trail for many many caches. This was the next CDI23 find. Nice quick find at GZ. Signhed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks Dragons2010 !!

Found on a trip to Picton and Penrith with a group of Canberra cachers. Signed as CDI23 (Canberra Day Invasion). Thanks for the hide Dragons2010
Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 2. Today the trip got underway with the team caching. I sat out the walk to 'More', which I had done many years ago and joined up after a late morning break. The group was made up of Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Isopeda, Smitten Granny, Contesta, Gliss! and Nibletricecakes. EverestHigh joined a little later on. We had a huge list of caches to do and we got underway on a warming day. As things looked to be running out of time we changed to the end of the list to get to the Dam for a virtual and then cached out way back to Picton to get to the event and a chance to meet some locals and others caching in the area today. Dinner was a great local Picton Thai restaurant followed by finishing Lab caches before I headed back to Bargo for the night.
As we headed back to Picton we stopped for as many roadside caches as we could, pleas a bit of a lap of the two small towns we passed through.
Thanks for the cache Dragons2010

Fitzy_1965 & I headed to the Picton region today with a bunch of friends from Canberra for our Canberra Day long weekend invasion (the joys of living in NSW but working in ACT for me). All caches were signed as CDI23.
We had a fun day finding, trads, puzzles & multis and a few AL's for good measure. We ended up at dinner at a great Thai restaurant after the event in Picton itself.

With a long weekend in Canberra who can resist getting away! Joined a great bunch on friends to tackle a bit of the Picton area. The day included a big investment of time in an oldie (lots of fun) and then lots of caching in the region. A really delightful day trip with barb2e, Kittykatch, isopeda, albida33, fitzy_1965, Minniek, joolay, Smittengranny, contesta, EverestHigh and GLISS! Signed most of the caches as CDI - for Canberra Day Invasion. Thanks to all the cache owners for the fun!

What an incredible spot the lookout is. Geontrail did what the phone couldn’t at GZ and took me right to the cache. Nice one thank you.
It has been a long time since I have been up here, I used to come up here all the time when I was younger for a nice walk in the bush. Such a nice place. Found the cache, it was a bit damp inside but the log was still dry. Plenty of space for swaps so I left a yoyo. TFTC:)
Pulling up about 20 metres from GZ . With a little bush bash I appear to be heading the right direction when I spotted a possible hide as per the hint. This stood out more than rest because of the obvious condition . A good container that supported the weight to protect it. TFTC Dragons2010
Found It!
A quick find here on a rather wet afternoon. An interesting bit of history to.

The hunt continued around this area to put some more smileys on the map along with ilook4geo. This was another nice easy find. Good sized container. Many thank go to Dragon2010 for placing this cache.
Some more caches found around this area when we came along with goingplaces2. Had a good day and found what we wanted, just missing some for various reasons. Log signed and replaced. TFTC.
After a bit of a search, and finding an old cache container, we soon had the new one in hand and with a clean log. TB left behind.

First find for my step kids and they are hooked! Needs maintenance after the lots of rain.

We had visited the lookout after completing an AL around The Oaks and made time for just one more cache on our way home, the others will have to wait. This one was well hidden from the road but was soon found and logged. Thanks for placing it way out here.
Haven’t been out this way in years. But after a nice walk in Camden on the bike track, we picked up a couple of coffee from a nearby cafe, and made our way out. It was interesting seeing how much regrowth has occurred since the terrible fires last Christmas. But it was amazing how much the lookout has changed since I was last here! So we relaxed for a bit, taking in the views and all the information. So spectacular! We are so lucky here in Australia! So we headed back out and I thought I’d take in a cache at the gate. Parked up leaving my prisoners, I mean passengers in the car with the air con still running as it was now 37 degrees. Headed over to the GZ and was looking in appropriate locations to fit the hint. Having no luck, I stepped back and looked around. Then I saw something that just didn’t fit. Hmm, doesn’t quite make sense. I had to convince the guardian I meant no harm, and he eventually allowed me entry. Completed signing duties, and headed back to rescue the prisoners.
After doing the nearby AL I decided a quick detour to Burragorang Lookout was in order ... and as a bonus, I was able to score a few smilies along the way.
Thanks for this one dragons2010 ... right where my phone's took me to even without mobile coverage.

Certainly great views. It was misty and a bit drizzly. Got a bit black retrieving this, so nice to see the regrowth after the fire storm last year.
Heading out for a few caches to start my 2021 tally. Spent most of the morning grabbing some Lab caches and their bonus offspring before heading to the Burragorang Lookout for lunch.
We cam e out here the day the fires swept through in 2020 and obviously were turned away, today with regrowth occuring we manged to grab most of them. Great views from the lookout
Thanks

Really behind on my logs and only just catching up, sorry for any generic type logs!
Out for an afternoon geo-adventure with LIttl3Vix, seeing where we could get a few caches. It'd been awhile since we had been to the Burragorang lookout and there were a few on the way so it was the perfect trip. This was our fifth find for the day, I parked nearby and as we approached, a hint of colour gave it away to our hawk eyes. We grabbed the cache out and signed the log before heading on our way. Thanks for the cache!

Find #478 on streak day #156.
Getting into the geomobile today with MizCupcake to see where the afternoon will lead. An overcast day and rain called for an easy trip and some scenic views. So we started to make our way to the Burragorang Lookout. Find number 5 for us today and we are getting closer to the lookout. Parking the geomobile close by, we got out and as we headed to go, a glint of colour gave away our prize from a distance. Luckily the eyes are good today as well. We both completed signing duties and replaced. Everything here was in good condition. Another quick and easy park and grab for us. TFTC!

A quick grab with the geodog Zelda while in the area. I looked the wrong way at first. TFTC
It was a bittersweet drive up here - so many blackened trees on the way up, but so encouraging to see all the green shoots coming through as nature recovers. Can see see the cache must have been replaced since the fires came through! Once the log was signed it was time for some breathtaking views at the lookout! Thanks for bringing us here!
Out with Dave8153 collecting modern world souvenirs and stopped by here for a quick find. TFTC
