TFTC smile 20965 Out and about on a Sunny day grabing a cache to try and keep a challenge going signed as GS1947 on small logs On a trip to fine a few caches It's Party time at GCARTY0 - 05 October 2025 Sunshine Coast come and join us for a great time Thank you Sweet-Sour for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Interesting find. Required some skill in retrieving. Signed log and replaced. Thanks for the cache and
On our way home from a big day up to Bundy and back, we made time for One Last One. Thankfully there was a little break in the rain and we pulled up in the dark beside GZ. I could see where it was straight away but needed a little extra height to make the grab. Log sheet was starting to mush but I found a blank spot and added our name then we were on our way. Next stop: maccas!

Driving north today and going towards Maryborough stopped off to do caches in the countryside. Thanks for bringing us out to here . Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Heading north for Maryborough to search for Mary's umbrella and many other items and searching for some on this side road. Found after a short search - thanks.
Heading north today from Gympie via the back roads to Tiaro and picking up cahes along the way and this was one of them. I parked nearby and once at GZ the cache was soon in hand and after signing the log all was returned as found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

Well, finally the weather has decided it will allow us a few days of dry camping (not totally dry, there WILL be a few lagers involved! ).
Our target area is Gympie and a few rural spots northwest.
WOW!
A quick roadside park & grab ... so out of character for Sweet-Sour!
A nice pleasant change. Made our mark & replaced as found.

Once the likely hiding spot was found, the cache was soon in hand. Bit moist inside tube. TFTC
TFTC. We decided to explore a little south of Maryborough. It looked like a good day to do some caching. We planned a loop to Gunalda and return. We were ok one way but we decided to abandon the return until next time. A pleasant couple of hours for 14 caches and exploring a new area. Thanks Sweet-Sour for the fun.
Were we hoping for a cherry tree, no, we know it is not cold enough here for one. SL TFTC

Kids have got a parent-teacher information sessions so I'm making a quick trip from Beaudesert to Hervey Bay and back in a day. Something must have gone wrong either with my logging, or something, but I found quite a few today that I had previously found on the 30/1/19.
This was one of them.
Thanks for the cache **Sweet-Sour**

We attended the nearby New Year's and City events, now heading a bit further North.

Never would’ve found this without the help of GeoMum, KhazNZ. If you’re short like me (5 ft), reach up.
While staying in Gympie for a few days with my Geodog Scruffy, we had to get out and find some caches in the area.

A few weeks back I was asked if I would like to go on a weekend caching trip chasing some target caches. With a leave passed granted, if I got all my work done at home, and seeing i would be on holidays for me, a green light soon appeared.
Bags packed, car loaded, said bye to the family and I was off on the journey north. I meet jacs team in Caloundra first up and we did a few caches in the area before we set off for a couple that I really wanted to get for my D/T grid. Then it was time to get a move on to our accommodation in Hervey Bay, with a few stops along the way.
While a list had been made it seemed to grow on our travels. My tenth cache for the day and one I wanted for a particular attribute. As night was starting to fall it was almost time to meet the others and have dinner. All good with this cache.
Thank you to the CO for this one, with the log signed and cache replaced as found it was off to a target cache. Thank you for placing this one here.

Stopped to collect this on our way north to Maryborough for the weekend to climb a mountain. It had a collectable attribute that my geobuddy was chasing.
On our way home to Landsborough after spending a couple of great days geocaching in the Maryborough area. Soon had the cache in hand, signed log and returned as found. TFTC Sweet-Sour
Gps sent us the sharp vines, about to give up and thought I would look in a spot like a previous one was hid and found it
Life has been very busy and it has taken me 3 months to be able to sit down and log these caches - you can't rush these things . This is how the story goes...
bb and I are on a road trip to Bargara for a couple of days away from family, work and our busy lives to just go caching This is another cache we decided to try and find on the spur of the moment because of some of its attributes, it was a quick little find nestled in its hiding spot. Having a fine weekend up in Maryborough. The weather could not be more perfect. There are so many caches here to be found. Thank you for hiding the cache to allow us to enjoy this lovely region.

Out caching today with friends BirdsvilleTrack. Lovely scenery and we enjoyed finding the cache in this location. Made a day of it and had lunch at one of the country pubs. Thanks to Sweet-Sour for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Went to the Queensland for 10 day's, landing on the Goldcoast, picking up a car rental. We spent the first 4 days staying in a nice hotel in Surfers paradise, doing all the Theme parks and some caching... While at the theme parks we got to pat Dolphins, feed Tigers etc. Then we headed up to Australia Zoo, where we booked a Tiger wall, Which was amazing, after the day at the zoo, we headed to Harvey bay, for 4 day's before heading back to the Goldcoast to return car, and catch flight home. Really loved the new Lego store at Dreamworld, went back 3 times.Tftc

Taking a detour back from Bundy to Brissy today, cleaning up some stray boxes on my map. No cherries here, but those dogs were keen. Did my business and left without seeing them, but reckon they were heading over towards me.
Thanks for placing this cache, Sweet-Sour. Found in good condition.

Interesting area here as 2 dogs were barking ++ at us as we were looking for this cache. Eventually the female owner muggle came over and we had a chat. We showed her the cache container and she told us she was thinking of joining in and do some Geocaching as she had met others who found this cache and so she had seen this cache before but she sure seemed interested so we told her to look on the website to find out about it. It was not that easy to chat as her 2 dogs barked non stop!! Lovely creeper in the area with bunches of bright red berries on it. Well, this is the last cache of yours for today, Sweet-Sour and we really have enjoyed the round trip finding so many of your great caches - thanks for all the time and planning you have put in for your fellow cachers to enjoy - we have really appreciated it. Looking forward to returning next year to find the one we have not this time!
TFTC Sweet-Sour - obviously you are still enjoying your caching etc etc.

No actual Cherry Trees seen
So this spot gets its name from the nearby sign
While not as tasty,
the cache was a quick find
Mmmm !! Cherries !!
A Christmas treat back home in Adelaide [^]
Or you could just head for Australia's cherry capital ... Young, NSW for a tasty bite

Travelling around Australia and currently housesitting in Curra, Queensland.
Today is Mr FelixII's birthday and a plan was hatched to have lunch at the Theebine Hotel. But of course what's a birthday without a cache or 2.
A day of walking in wet grass and slippery tracks after the overnight rain, exploring a new area to us. Just what we love about Geocaching.
A short stop and your cache was found, log signed and we were on our way.

I had in the caching plan to come to Gympie today to do the (13) new ones that this CO had placed. I contacted Keith (Sweet-Sour) to see if he wanted to come for a drive as I anticipated he had at least two of his hides to maintain and he accepted the offer. Checked the internet last night and saw a new hide in Maryborough and 8 more from Sweet-Sour. Apologies for cut and paste logs as I have a lot to write.
I do not actively chase ftf but I will take them if I come across one or two or three or more. 38 hides in the plan today. 36 finds, 1 did not attempt as I did not have a ladder with me, and one
( The emperor ) I did not go out of my way to attempt as it was now dark on our return to Gympie.
No DNF's but came awfully close to one or two but persistent paid off. Left home at 0545 and arrived at the residence of Sweet-Sour at 0615. 486klmn drive today, home to home, and arrived home at 2000hours. Long day but there were many breaks along the way. We drove from Gunalda to Maryborough to Wolvi then to Cooran then to Kin Kin then to Mapleton then Amamoor then back to North of Gympie.
This was the next one in the plan and did not take long to find at all. Sweet-Sour tended to walk slightly away from each GZ leaving all the hard work to me and that is what should happen as it gives the CO a good chance to check his placed co ordinates. Keih and I nearly allways have a gapof about 3 meters. Not too difficult toi find with good co ordinates. I still do paper caching and only load a few at a time into my GPSr. Have the smart phone as a backup now buit initially I was not going to load the APP. Thanks for the company and TFTC Sweet-Sour.

Saw on the map that the next lot of caches on the Gundiah Deviation Trail had been released, geohusband says to me, "get dressed lets see if we can find some more FTF". Out the door by 7.10am arrived at GZ at 7.40am and yay a FTF. What a great way to start the day.
