3 DNF’s - already replaced once. If we don’t head out their soon then I’ll archive.
So sad to come out this far up down a sandy track to find no cache in place searched but cams up with nothing DNF
A surprisingly good landing ground was found out here
Sure you wouldn't get a B737 in here,
but a Cessna would have no problems landing
No flights scheduled today,
so I had the terminal area to meself.
Only one likely spot to find a cache here,
according to the clue.
But nothing was found hanging around
Thanks for the visit

We had no luck with one today. We initially went with the hint and then searched everywhere else. Will come back out again some other time. We were amazed to see the runway here and in fairly smooth condition.
Confused wether this is still used. Did you take off that is the question

Thanks to Greenos for placing the cache for us to find.

Found It!
A quick find here but no planes were seen. I wonder how often (if at all) this runway is used?

Hunted high and low but the original cache has gone missing. Replaced with another but not magnetic as per hint. Coordinates are still the same. Will update hint when possible
Out and about with 4bait and mark9375 on a road trip. The park is shut at the moment until 20/4 after dark to carry out shooting feral animals. Many of these were dead goats located around the tank itself which attracted wasps so be very careful. ( Luckily 4bait for some very strange reason had his bee keeper kit in the 4WD. We saw a few of their live buddies further down the track.
A quick grab as you can imagine

Found on our way from renmark and along the border track with mark9375 and geojill-11 lots of dead goats here dozens of them all atound the cache and a waspe nest right on the cache with millions pf angry wasps sp cachers be aware loving the border track TFTC
Found it while on a little (long) loop drive out from Loxton into Sunset National Park picking up a few caches along the way. TFTC SL. Thank you Greenos
A crazy one day road trip with Sebastbat , where we claimed three firsts on WH caches for the team,
visited a few other special caches along the way, showed incredible self control by driving past hundreds,
and "leaving them for later!", and even snuck our way into Mexico for a few in the bush!
This is where things got fun.
We found a gap in the wall, and snuck through to Mexico.
Sunset had just happened.
We saw the landing strip markers by our lights.
Wondered how a plane dodges the roos.
Signed your cache. Replaced carefully and backed out!
Believing is half the job done
Thanks for the caches Greenos

Was rather surprised at the D/T for this cache. It says in the description that you may need a 4x4. Although it wasn't essential today, it certainly made things a lot easier. You wouldn't want to bring a precious car out here. The cache was soon located, signed and returned. Thanks for giving us another reason to explore out here. The history that goes with this cache is quite interesting. We have never heard of someone losing their lease. Thanks for the cache.
Today papi4506, the occasional geoturtle37 and BeckNmonts joined forced, and decided to do some caches on both sides of the border. Now we were beginning to get to our objective of the day, some four wheel drive caching. It’s very weird, coming across an airport in, what feels like, the middle of nowhere. TFTC Greenos
Family day out exploring the area on this lovely day lots of wildlife to see wild goats malleefowl parrots emu kangaroo kids had a ball. Last time here was super hot flies galore was a dnf but today found super easy how did we miss that. Stopped and watched the Galahs have a drink for a bit. TFTC
TheCatBandits DNF this one today seems to have been alot of traffic around GZ we had a good look around but no luck on this one today
Another great spot for a cache. Had to go off road a few times to skirt puddles but lots of fun today out here in the National Park. Good to see the tank chock a block full of water! Something good has come out of the recent downpours. Decided not to continue on to the remaining caches in the park as I am only in an SUV, and have done well so far, but don't want to push my luck. As I headed for home I met a convoy of three big heavy proper 4WDs and the track was much more churned up than on the way in! Cache #2494.
What do a couple of cachers do when the wind is howling and there has been a lot of rain the previous night from a super storm? Go caching again, of course. So it was off along the Border Track and into the Murray-Sunset National Park.
The tracks were quite interesting and needed very good driving skills to negotiate the tricky parts with some long stretches of low lying water and some rather slippery sections. All good fun!
Yay! Woohoo! The second {FTF} cache for the day! No problems finding this one either. Took it back to the geo vehicle to sign due to the weather conditions. This one also gets a favourite point for being a (FTF) cache for us. Many thanks to the Greenos for another cache in this national park.
