I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi ZappyreneeThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Finally had the time to stop here and search for this one. Didn’t take long to figure out where it was and soon had our names on the log. Had a look over the bridge at the old works before carrying on. TFTC
#12,963. I have been at a conference in New Plymouth over the weekend and it was time to head back home today. The plan was to stop along the way and pick up some caches if they were along our main route. Heavy rain set in at Stratford and only stopped when we arrived in Patea. So this ended up being the last find for the day. Fortunately it was in the second spot checked as I was not expecting to find a nano. Signed the logsheet and returned the cache as found. Thanks Zappyrenee for hiding the cache here.
I don't often get to travel through Taranaki, so when I discovered I had a reason to go to New Plymouth today I thought it would be a great chance to try to avenge my DNF of some two and a half years ago.
The rain was trying to put a dampener on my plans as I parked up close to GZ, but luckily there was a small break which allowed me to get to the right location where I made a quick find.
The cache is no longer as described, but otherwise no issues at all here and the log was swiftly signed so I could run back to my car before the next downpour got me.
Thanks for keeping this one going.

Heading off for a long weekend to New Plymouth with tmann421.
The Naki put on perfect weather for us.
Some wonderful caches found and great sites seen.
All logs signed tm/ww NZ
Thanks to the cache owners, without their efforts this game would not be possible.

Not a pill bottle anymore definitely smaller… takes a little searching but worth the hunt
First time finding a GeoCache! Really enjoyed this and will definitely be keeping up with such a cool thing.
On my way to the Taranaki I found this box.
Thanks

Took quite a while to find but got there eventually. Cache not what we were expecting. Tftc

Tried a few obvious spots initially, fortunately, we had the information about the change in cache type to a nano. TFTC

I walked to G Z and enjoyed the view of the river until the traffic passed before making my search. I tried a few places before looking where I would hide it and making the quick find.
T F T C Zappyrenee.
I decided to find a few caches along my drive today in pleasant weather to make a dent in the current souvenir. I ended up finding eight caches, one of which was a puzzle, and two Adventure Lab stages.

Up in the area on my regular weekend trip to Wanganui (from Wellington), and with some time to spare today, it was time to get some caches.
Another cache found today that it's taken me two visits to find, but I'm pretty sure this one was missing last time I was here. Having seen a few recent finds I was feeling good, but I did spend far too long searching through the sad amount of rubbish in the area before actually reading through the recent logs and learning the the cache container is no longer a pill bottle, and is now much, much, smaller. Armed with that knowledge, I changed my search area and style and soon had the cache in hand
All safe and dry here, TFTC.

Had to bring it back to the van to open with pliers. Don't do up too tight please.
River very brown today following storm. Cleanup along the way in progress

With the sunny weather and school holidays it was time to team up with Kelly0 and kids to get some cachers done.
This one took some searching. With three of us on the cache! I trolled it, we did some weeding, uncovered plenty of rubbish.
And right when it was time to concede Hubby put his hand on it.
Certainly a needle in a haystack.

Second time looking for this cache and despite 2 extra pairs of eyes this time we were still coming up empty handed. As we went to leave BIL laid his hands on it. Cache is definately still in place, coordinates seem to be off slightly, maybe 2m. Also cache isn't a pill bottle, its a nano. Hopefully this helps other finders a bit. TFTC
No luck again for me. Ame here about a year ago to look for this one. There's definitely a space at gz where I suspected it would have been. Looked around in the weeds and growth but nothing stood out to me.
Hard one it got washed away idk lawns have been mowed too..we came back to try again but no luck Mumrow
North Island Campervan trip Day 1
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
So seeing as I have to get to Auckland to pick the camper up it seemed like a great opportunity to break my drive up there up by going via the Taranaki to seek out some targeted caches there such as the TMGT ones, as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Today was simply the drive up to New Plymouth. Leaving work after half a day there meant I had a few hours to leisurely make my way to the holiday park I was staying at tonight. The weather was glorious and making the journey very pleasant. You could even see Mt Egmont properly!
I thought this one would be nice and easy, but after a solid 10 minutes searching all the obvious places (well obvious to me) I had to admit defeat and more on.

Thanks for this straight forward hide which is safe to walk to on this busy highway.
Teamed up with Cats&Dragons, for an overnight mission down the West Coast focusing in and around Hawera. It's been awhile since we've done a trip like this and it was great to be out finding caches again. We left Hamilton at 7pm Friday night and returned midnight Saturday, with only a few hours of sleep needed we managed 116 finds for the trip. A big thanks to all the cache owners for their placements.
Had a good look here, no luck for us either.

searched far and wide for this one but alas no luck maybe sun has fryed the little gray cells to much today
Stopped here on the way to New Plymouth this afternoon. A quick find here in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC.
Turning a two hour drive into a whole day affair from Wanganui to New Plymouth! Quick find, TFTC!!
Heading home after an enjoyable week working and caching around the Whanganui area. Interesting seeing all the old buildings and industries along the river. TFTC
We are exploring Patea but the rain is back again. Found the log soaking here so added a RITR temp log to keep this one rolling along. Cheers.
Day 3- Monday, 16 December. Wanganui to Hawera today.
The morning spent around Wanganui picking up a few more interesting caches before heading towards Hawera stopping off at most caches along the way after getting out of Wanganui.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

It's raining. And the cache log is sodden. Well, at least we can do something about that - the dragon installed a shiny new florist's paper log. It's still raining though.
Day three of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki. Today is Wanganui to Patea - it's going to be a slow trip!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

(# 5579). Decided to come up this way on a weekend jaunt from Wellington. The primary aim was to get some of the GeoTour caches. A quick find in the logical spot. Everything in order. TFTC
Find number 6429. After dropping off a German friend in Wanganui yesterday it was time to start to head towards home to Hamilton today and collect some caches along the way. I ended up in Hawera and collected 46 caches in doing so.
All quiet at GZ unless you count the passing cars. Stood and enjoyed the view while signing the log. Thank you for the placement.

Heading towards Palmerston north slowly. Stopped here amongst underground digging and traffic. Thanks for the placement Zappyrenee.
On tour getting some TMGT caches...this o e was real handy ...parked up the road and walked back for a quick find thanks zappyrenee for the cache
Found 10.55am
Day 2 of Squirrel Nutcase and my road trip south, now from Whanganui back to Rotorua.
Mission completed with collecting TMGT caches, and as to day 1, great history.
Will have to come back at some stage as there are so many caches in area.
Thanks to cache owners for the cache placements. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... This weekend’s mission was about completing the North Island leg of the TMGT. It involved a fairly extensive road trip through the Wellington, Manawatu/Whanganui, and Taranaki regions. We also made a plan to pick up other caches along our driving route...
A short walk up to the bridge - this makes for a good viewing platform for the old works down river. A quick find... Thanks Zappyrenee and TFTC.

The main focus of todays trip was the Geo Tour caches, but I did stop to look for the odd other one or two along the way. TFTC
Finding the cache
Did not take very long to find this one. The cache container was a bit worse for wear the lid was a bit jammed and it broke when I finally got it open luckily I had a spear in the car and replaced like for like
The plan for the day
I have decide to get the caches in Patea over the next month or so to help with my dot days for my calendar matrix also look for places to place my on geocaches
Goals towards my Project GC Badges
This cache helps me to fill in one of my missing dot days on my calendar matrix, however getting my calendar matrix completed is going to take some time, as many of the missing dot days are on work days which makes it difficult to get out and get a cache for the day and making thing harder there are not many caches left within five kilometers of home , so I plan on saving these ones for when I have very limited time on that day, as for the next nearst cashes they are at least 30 minutes or more from home
Ewe-Jean Grey the Sheep in the Red Woolly Jumper
Ewe-Jean is my Geocaching mascot who likes to have her photo taken on our geocaching travels
For the moment Ewe-Jean has team up with Maroon (a travel bug TB1R9HG ) and until she finds a cache she wants to be drop off at Maroon will continue to travel with us
I am now on my way to Wanganui, but I still have time to grab a few as I travel. The cache is really, really rusty and should be replaced. TFTC.

On a road trip from New Plymouth to Wellington today, collecting as many Geo Tour caches as I can find.
I collected this one as I was leaving town having found the new freezing works cache just down the road.

Our second visit to this one didn’t find it last time but now with a wee bit more experience under our belt we found it easily. Thanks
was in a good spot took a bit to find (we where looking in the wrong spot ) but was a good finds
on a mission 50 caches in one day, getting to 1000 caches and getting to the oldest cache in NZ, cache 979, cache number 12 of trip. nice park and grab, , TFTC.
Today we're on our way over to Warea (near Mt. Taranaki) to visit friends we met during our holiday. Nice park and grab...
On our 24th day in New Zealand we travelled from Wellington up north to New Plymouth. On this route we had a number of geocaches on our bucket list, old ones we need for Jasmer Challenge and some challenge caches which are very valuable for our 81-matrix. And then there were many others to break up this long journey for us. Unfortunately there were a number of DNF's for us here on this route, also because we just did not have the time to search very long, and with others we just had to pass by because there was a lot of traffic today. But we had another great day and enjoyed also the nice weather. This was a short stop and a quick find.

Up for the Mega for the week, headed up the coast for a couple of days on family stuff, but did get few caches in for the day. many thanks to the cache placer's - Bitsprayer
Nice easy find for our last Taranaki cache of the day. T F T C Zappyrenee.
First full day in the area after arriving fairly late yesterday evening. I wanted to improve my spare Taranaki caches, have only found 3 in that area before and that was over 10 years ago -back in the day. So we decided to head out towards Waverley and grab a few and so it was. Got most we looked for and saw some interesting black-sand beaches too. Thanks to all the CO s for their hides.
I have had some holiday leave booked for a while now and we are heading North on the ferry, along with the Cache-Qai, and off to Rangitikei to visit our daughter, her partner and our son. First time this many members of the family have been together for a few years so should be good. The plan was half day in work followed by heading off after lunch, then arriving early evening in W(h)anganui to catch up with kids. We're on the North island for a week so there will sure to be some cache found whilst in the area. My Marlborough and Tsman finds have been inching slowly but surely towards my Manawatu/Rangitikei finds but this trip will be sure to redress tha balance again for a few more years I'm sure.

Ambling our way home from Wanganui via the coast road. We have cleaned up Patea previously so had to stop to get this relatively new one, can't leave one lonely green box. Mrs S went for this one, and waved to the nice policeman in his pretty car.
Thanks Zappyrenee.

Nice little find. In an eclipse mint tin. It was a little damp. Beautiful day, just completed the Patel River Walk too. Great stop.

Called in here quickly on my way through to whanganui for a day geocaching, this was spotted from a distance so I tucked it in a little better
