24/7/2024 Find #7099Wednesday wanderings out and about with cosmonaut97 today. And after time at the movies, we decided to grab a few nearby caches before our day was done. With one mum and little one here using the playground, we did have to be a little muggle-aware but once we were at the right spot we found the cache quickly and without any muggle concern. Thanks for the cache DisSister.

24-Jul-24
Quick find. Only 2 muggles on the swing nearby, but 1minniemoo chose the correct behemoth today. TFTC.

17-Jun-24
We found the clue but not the cache! Until next time friends!

28-May-24
Out for a morning ride and saw this on the map. I had a feeling I had already found this a couple of months back. Arriving at the park, I got a feeling I had indeed been here.

Solved this little puzzle years back, but never found the cache. Went for a look and quickly in my grasp!! TFTC!

Came back to take my revenge on this one I was previously unable to find. No such disappointment this time.. Got swamped by mosquitoes and should have used Bushmans rather than Aerogard . TFTC

Mr Jaiger thank you DisSister for maintaining this cache. *TFTC 7802 Finds*

Muggle65, Brislions and I had a window of time free so we decided to find the nearest cache. This was it so we parked up and strolled over to the posted coords. Soon found what we needed and headed to GZ. Groaned as we approached GZ but thankfully M65 made a quick find. Thank you for the fun

27-Oct-22
This morning, georode and I organised an early kayak session on South Pine River. It turned out to be a spectacular morning to have a paddle just after sunrise. We then popped over to Tinchi Tamba Wetlands to grab another geocache, and I then remained to make a few more short walks. I then needed to get my car serviced, so on the way, I detoured through Bracken Ridge, making a stop at McPherson Park to grab a few train title-themed geocaches.
After visiting the mechanic, I took a detour past Chermside and Wavell Heights visiting a few more geocaches, before grabbing a bakery lunch and continuing to work from home for the remainder of the day.

I was thinking that I should probably be returning home soon to continue my work, and I selected this location as my last "quick" find for the afternoon, not realising that I had updated the coordinates to the posted coordinates, and this cache was more of a field puzzle. The geocaching karma gods seem to always know if you're time poor, and do their darndest to interfere, with my experience at Waypoint 1 suffering as much. My coordinates weren't updating under the trees, and so it had me search around for a good 10-15 minutes wondering what I was missing. From the geocache's title and past logs, I had a fiarly good suspicion to the clue that I needed to find, but it had still alluded me, until expanding where I was looking, and seeing the fairly obvious specimen. It only took a minute to work out the GZ coordinates, and this cache reminds me of another puzzle cache that I had completed in Seattle (although that was 3D printed).

I made the short walk to GZ (also having my suspicion where I needed to go), and my searching in the wrong direction had me make several loops around a few trees, before soon discovering the cache in the correct direction. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Mr Jaiger for the cache placement, and DisSister for its ongoing maintenance. Despite my self-inflicted frustrations, this cache deserves a Favourite Point, cheers.

Waiting for truck at nearby work site so took a walk.

Easy find.

Unbelievable though, had to dispose of rubbish shoved into little container.

Lovely shady Park and clean equipment

After attending the nearby CITO it's time to head off to turn a few boxes into Smilies on the north side of town. Our group today was RoddyC, Hatsoff, Patrol14, Snickersallan, GrannySmith1947 and me. Arrived at GZ and started our search. It didn't take long before we had the cache and our names were added before replacing as found. TFTC

On completion of the CITO this morning, I joined forces with patrol14, Imbunda, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 & RoddyC to pick up a few local traditional and long solved puzzle caches.
Nice hide and a quick find for us today.

After attending the CITO this morning, the usual group has formed to find a few caches in the area. Snickersallan, RoddyC, hatzofff, GrannySmith 1947 and Imbunda in 2 cars, we made our way to this cache.

This puzzle was solved quite some time ago and now its time to find it. Arrived at GZ where we located the cache quickly, SL then returned as found.

Mr Jaiger

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.

If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Can the CO please check on this one? I’d love to be able to change it to a smiley this month to help with a challenge cache.

14-Aug-21
Out for a bit of a pedal and a bit of a hunt. Maybe should have looked at this one before heading here. The birds were cranky. My helmet copped a few hits at the WP and at GZ.

WP found quickly and numbers crunched. I had a bit of a search at GZ before reading the logs and seeing a few other DNFs.

06-May-21
I loved the first stage but unfortunately came up empty handed at the final. Thanks anyway Mr Jaiger

06-May-21
Lots of hidey holes prodded and poked but only bees/wasps found sadly.

06-May-21
Although we found waypoint one without too much difficulty, and deciphered it over lunch, we were sadly unable to locate the container at the final GZ. I did manage to upset a small beehive, however – I hope the geocache wasn’t in with them! Thanks anyway, Mr Jaiger.

After visiting this cache on Saturday, I worked out a good looking final and made my way there. A thorough search was carried out, I was unable to make the find so made a PAF. It seems I was in the right place, but the cache was no longer there. With the permission of the CO, I returned to gz today and placed a new cache and log at gz.
Thanks Mr Jaiger for a cool puzzle, a fav point for WP1.

Went home and did the calculations.
Came back past today and walked straignt to it as it was completely uncovered.
Have replaces where we found and recovered.

Found WP 1 easily enough and calculated a likely set of numbers for the final. Unfortunately, looking high and low did not result in a find today. May have to try again another day.

Driving home I remembered I had this one solved a while back. Today was my day to look and collect

Cache is in a nice hidey hole and after acquiring a local tool cache was soon in hand, log signed and back in place.

Nice hide and container. Thanks

Wow, I loved this one! I really wasn't sure what I was expecting to find at WP1, but it was a pleasant surprise. Went back to the car to quickly work out where to go next, and then set off in search of a cache. Well, it wasn't quite as easy as that :p. I also searched the wrong tree, and then did a few laps before I spotted something out of the ordinary. Fantastic cache container, log is dry, and there are plenty of swaps for the kids.

TFTC - Quick TB visit while I am here.

I was driving around on a hot afternoon on a solo mission filling in time so I didn’t have to join in some babysitting at home. I wasn’t trying to shirk any responsibility but my niece and I have a hate/love/hate relationship without the love.

A bit of a field puzzle seemed like just the thing to stretch out the day. I wasn’t sure what I was looking for but when I found it, it definitely brought a smile to my face. I haven’t seen anything like this before so I always knew I was going to award a favourite point (as long as I found the cache).

Originally I had planned on taking some photos and walking back to the car but I was in a nice shady spot with some breeze. When your rocks aren’t sticking together you should be able to solve a puzzle like this one on the spot.

GZ was a totally different story. I spent far too long digging out the wrong tree. I even redug some dig sites. Some people talk about digging a hole so deep it goes all the way to China but my navigational skills were busted because I ended up in Mexico. At least the drugs were cheap. tftc

27-Nov-19
After deciphering the hands on field puzzle, i found that was maybe less than half the battle as there was plenty of hiding spots. It is certainly visible once you spot it, but not being able to do that is what got us there in the first place. Nice puzzle and hide. Cheers

25-Nov-19
Puttering about the darkside of Brissy and decided to do a sweep of solved puzzles in this area Spotted this field puzzle and as you’d expect, wandered around for a while before spotting the bleeding obvious A short haul to GZ and cache located easily.

I had this cache on the attack list and it wasn't until I arrived that I remembered that I had a DNF on the cache last time. Luckily, I still had the final coordinates and headed there after seeing that the cache was missing last time I was here.

It took me a few minutes before I searched in the correct spot and found the cache.

It is always a good feeling to turn a frown into a smile.

Fun cache found on an afternoon out enjoying the fresh air

Nice cache

We had a bit of spare time before heading to the airport to meet some family who are coming to visit to get away from the colder southern climes .
We decided to head by this park, since this field puzzle sounded quite interesting. A cricket training session was going on nearby, however nobody paid us any attention. Once we had found what we were looking for, we took the information via our photos, back to the car, where we sorted out what we needed to do. It was then just a trip to head to GZ and find what we were seeking. At GZ, we needed to move very quickly since there seem to be many ants in the area. A quick sign of the log which was all dry and safe and then it was back into the car and off to the airport. Thanks Me Jaiger for this great puzzle and fun detour.

After finding a nearby cache, stortigirls and I headed to this one. A nice little field puzzle that followed the theme of the title. A short stroll later, a bit of a search here and there, and we were soon adding our names to the log. TFTC

30-Apr-18
I was caching in the area after work with Selva Girls today and spied this neat little field puzzle around the corner. Thoroughly enjoyed this one; the name made perfect sense when we found the information, and it didn't take long before we were strolling over to find the well hidden cache. Tftc Mr Jaiger Big Grin

In need of a cache today so made my way here. Had fun feeling out the information for the final.

Thanks for the cache Mr Jaiger Big Grin

12-Nov-17
I headed to the listed coordinates and quickly spied something. Wow that is a brilliant idea for a field puzzle. With the help of modern technology I quickly had some nice coords and headed over to GZ. A little searching and the cache was spied. Love these containers. TFTC

Checked this morning - new cache in place - happy hunting

09-Oct-17
My second visit to this cache. the last time I found the WP and was muggled out at the final.

Today, I spent 15 minutes searching the area without finding a cache. There is evidence that kids have been playing around GZ.

04-Jul-17
With a couple of hours spare, I had a morning out tidying up a few solved puzzles and other unfound hides in the Inner North. As with my last visit the batting cage was being used, this time by some potty-mouthed teenagers.

Found the info (how could I not Big Grin), took a pic and returned to the car to calculate GZ. A short search later I spotted a stick behaving oddly and *voila* there was the container!

Thanks **Mr Jaiger** for bringing us here, this find makes Smile #3810. Discover our trackable TGQNRV.

I have been trying to fill holes in my calendar and this was a date that had a gap. Now where is there a nice close cache, that we can walk the dog to? Ah, that puzzle looks just right. Billy the geopooch was very excited to see his lead and was happy to go looking for a cache (Miss 13 not so much Wink It took us about 15 min to make our way to the field puzzle location, oh that is very clever! I knew what I had to do, but it took me awhile to get things in the right order, lucky there was some play equipment to keep the other members of the Raynersinoz team busy. Finally I managed to work out where I needed to be and after a quick poke and prod I found the cache. Yay! I loved the field puzzle and the cache's GZ, thanks for hiding this one Mr Jaiger, fave point for you Big Grin

16-Apr-17
Out doing a spot of maintenance this early morning, and it still being early decided to pop over here to sort out the only question mark on my map around here that I might be able to do. It was quiet being early, so every step on crunchy undergrowth reverberated across the neighbourhood. Having quickly sorted the coordinates (not quite from memory, but if I keep doing these I will surely get it stuck in the noggin soon) - must say very nice work. With that in hand I quickly relocated to GZ and spied a likely spot to a cacher's eyesight ... and quickly logged my name in the book. A very nicely crafted nice and simple puzzle. A FP for the work. Well done.

Thanks for placing this cache, Mr Jaiger. Found in good condition.
Cool *{Overall find #5199}* Cool

4/2/17, 12:52 pm Find #1724

Cool waypoint and reasonably quick find. Unfortunately, old mate decided to turn up and start exercising on the equipment just as I made the find. Had to time retrieval and return while his back was turned.

Undertook a quality run through the northern suburbs early this morning to collect a few quality caches, most of which were from Mr Jaiger. The puzzle was quickly found and deciphered. The title now has more significance. The short stroll to the final only uncovered a few mozzies then a container. Thanks for the puzzle Mr Jaiger.

**Smilie #4713**

Heading across the river to pick up a few supplies & decided a few smilies were in order along the way.

Having just located another puzzle cache nearby & seeing that this was a field puzzle we decided to give it our best shot while we were here.
We soon found the field puzzle & set about solving it.
It took a couple of seconds to decide which way was 'up' but the solution soon showed itself.
A short trip & we were soon at GZ where a quick find followed.
Nicely placed.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

**TFTC & P Mr Jaiger Smile**
Have a favourite point for a clever idea & great construction! Smile

Trying to fill in my calendar grid saw me out caching this morning.
Found the clue easy enough but when I started getting cords that started with 19 I knew I was doing something wrong. A slight adjustment to my looking at the problem and some better looking numbers started revealing themselves. Quick find once at the calculated cords. Liked the log book very cute.
Thanks for the fun little puzzle Mr Jaiger

Out with PerolaK after swimming lessons today. I've had the numbers sorted for this one for a while, but have only just found the chance to revisit. But I think I had my numbers wrong as the cache was a good 20 metres from my GZ Razz Very glad to make it a smiley. TFTC, Mr Jaiger.

Granny and I visited this geocache after swimming lessons today. It was tricky finding the container as I fell over a few times. The playground was fun. Thankyou for the cache.

Out grabbing a few puzzles in the area.
Arrived at GZ and spotted the clue and was able to work out the final coordinates.
Heard a few birds but did not get swooped.
Headed to the final for a quick find.

Time for another lunchtime cache raid after some lean weeks. I parked nearby and walked slowly over, having hurt my back recently.
WP1 was more obvious than I expected and very well constructed. Well done!
A quick use of an app, and I decided to drive even closer so as to minimise bird attacks (if they were still interested in doing that).
I was very soon at a SPOS and delighted to have the cache in hand. No birds were seen though quite a few were heard. TFTC where all is fine and an FP from me for skills.

05-Oct-16

After a few errands in the area I had some spare time so decided to grab some caches.

It only took a few seconds to find the clue, and I knew exactly where to find the needed info. Another couple of minutes and I had the numbers, so headed over to GZ. However, I didn't get to do any serious searching because as I arrived a couple of little birds started squawking a lot, then proceeded to dive-bomb me SadTwisted [xx(] [B)] Guess I'll wait until November!

Find #1932 at 18:45.

2TF again! Second one in under an hour!

Did I see the FTF drive off? Someone drove away from near GZ as I arrived....

I missed the waypoint on the first pass and turned my attention elsewhere. I must be blind. Cool Eventually I returned back to the right spot and it almost jumped out and bit me. Oh, nicely done. [^]

A quick bit of deciphering later and I was off to GZ for a quick find while being yelled at by a neighbouring dog.

Thanks for the cache, Mr Jaiger. I did have a feeling I should have come here first this evening....

Joint FTF with Que Sera and Crookedpete. I was out caching with Que Sera and Sharpem working on the October Challenge when we saw that new caches were published. This was close to us and we were excited as we had never been FTF with a puzzle cache. All caching was abandoned and Que Sera drove with the skill of a formula one driver to the posted co-ordinates. As we approached we could see the headlights of a car parked on the side of the road and we thought that the cache may already be found. So with much haste we approached the posted coordinates and met Crookedpete who was also looking for the clue. We found the cleverly hidden clue and managed to find some workable numbers and then we headed for GZ. It took a little while to find the cache as we were focusing on the wrong spot. Eventually we found the caches hiding spot and we very happy to see an empty and very cute log book. After signing our names we bid Crookedpete farewell and headed to the Eatons Hill Tavern for some celebtory champagne.

*FTF * joint with bear0503 and cookedpete. was out caching with bear0503 working on our October challenge when i saw this new cache not far away . "a puzzle cache" i said to bear0503 and we have not had ftf on a puzzle . so we abandoned search for the one we were at and luckily my husband has given me his fast red car and i must admit i did drive with the skills of a ftf puzzle cache driver. it was definitely our lucky night as when we reached posted coordinates there was already someone there and we were very happy to see cookedpete. i found the first clue and straight away cookedpete knew what to do ( we might be still there now. lol) with magnificent teamwork we were able to reach gz. in the dark we struggled for a little while when i found a nicely hidden cache with some nice swaps inside. after saying our goodbyes to cookedpete we decided to go for celebration champagne. we regret not inviting cookedpete as i had my puzzle book (see photo) that has some puzzles we have been struggling with that im sure pete could have helped us. got home to watch repeat of bulldogs win ( don't know how you slept through that pete) . i drive past this park everyday to work wondering why no cache is here but now i will smile to myself. thanks mr jaiger . i will definitely give this a fp for great puzzle and effort put into this cache and the nice little park . all round great cache.

***FTF*** with Que Sera and Bear0503.

After a pleasant hike near Binna Burra earlier today, I relaxed with an afternoon nap in front of the AFL Grand Final. I was woken by my phone bleeping - some mates were looking at a long hike tomorrow. While I pondered this, I noticed a cache only 1.5 ks away had been published 30 minutes earlier. I was out the door and at the listed coordinates within 5 minutes. A quick once over for the clue whilst parked in the bus zone - nothing found initially - and I returned to legally park my car in the side street and grab my torch. By the time I was back at the listed coordinates, Que Sera and Bear0503 had arrived and were already decoding the clue. A good team effort and we soon had some final coordinates.

A short walk and soon enough the cache was found. Must admit I missed the hiding spot on my first pass, but my more thorough partners in crime found it.

Many thanks Mr Jaiger. I had been eyeing this park to place a cache for a while. It is certainly worthy of a cache, and yours is a very well constructed and themed field puzzle. Nicely played - have a favourite point.

Pete
