Rifle Range creek #2 Invacare was transferred from Sicad69 to SurdiVisio. Appreciated the original cache owner Sicad69 for creating this well-hidden cache. Cache maintenance will follow soon
After watching BS13 ace my "Where is It?" we decided to find a few others, despite initial reservations to avoid the heat today. After parking nearby and seeing a boy rock up to a factory in a suit, we found this one immediately. A bit of weather on this, very industrial feeling. TFTC
I finished my target cache for the day a lot quicker than anticipated, left it to OZB to navigate us to a bunch of caches that he hadnt found yet. Trent Rd it is. An old stomping / driving ground of mine. If you grew up in this area, you came here to learn to drive. The wide roads make for pain free 3 point turns and you get plenty of roundabout practice in on the weekends. Cache was easy to find and OZB signed my initials. Its 36 degrees out and Im already feeling the sweat, when we spy a young kid looking a little disorientated wearing a full get up business suit, satchel, shiny shoes and all. Its been a long time since Ive seen anyone in such formal attire, let alone at the edge of a sweltering bush. Odd, but remember him for later.
After dropping the GeoKid off at sport I decided to make a quick trip to the CZ zone. Following the clues I had the school holidays cache in hand! Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
Yep the log is mush!! But we did find it. Placed it back carefully so it doesnt get buried in the leaf litter and mud again. Lured here by some green bushland on the map so made a plan to get the caches.Out caching with Cherryfromtheblock today after a rainy morning and a bit of a wet start it ended up being a really nice and fruitful caching day.Weirdos spotted: noneSnacks: Tamano sushi seaweed and avocado salad for lunch which was awesome.TFTC
First of five finds after work. In the dark night with the moon nearly full. On the eve of winter solstice down under. Quick find, TFTC Sicad69
this one was a long way off where my phone said it should be. Just searched what the hint said, and found it eventually. TFTC.
This cache , as well as all my caches are available for adoption as I have moved from the area and cannot maintain anymore.
I was in the area for a work visit to a suppliers premises, and arrived a little early. We all know what that means, so I continued driving down the road to this icon. [^]
On arrival, a couple of obvious GZ's presented themselves and of course I picked the incorrect one first. With that corrected, the container came to hand and I returned to the car for business.
With my name in the log, I tucked everything back and returned the container as found.
Cheers Sicad69.

Found it , the container was full of ants. I clean it out and sealed it up the log is nearly full!
Made that harder than it should of been. Had to wait out a muggle in a car but got it eventually
Did these caches a while ago but have not gotten around to submitting the log for a while! Thanks for the adventure and lovely walk!
I checked the geo-map after doing a pick up at a North Rocks factory this afternoon and saw this one was not far away ... so, as you do, I made a quick detour to GZ and found the cache in the first place I looked. It naturally was also the last place I looked.
Thanks for the hide Sicad69.

Easy find using process of elimination. Log nice and dry but unfortunately I had no pen on me today. Including pic instead.
After discovering Northmead - North Rocks dam we decided to take a look around the area. It was a pleasant surprise to find a cache. It was a quick find so we as newbies were very happy

An afternoon of Covid safe geocaching in my LGA took me around some interesting caches in the North Rocks area.
The last of the Rifle Range Creek series. An easy find! TFTC

I made this harder than it should have been, thought I’d checked the spot earlier that I finally found it in.
Only surprised by how many muggles came driving down here late at night.

Today I set out on a trek to do a some of the Rifle Range Creek Series, plus Ensconced and Keyhole Tree. I parked at the bottom of Perry Street near the trail entrance and promptly left my water bottle in the car !
Cache and log in good shape.
So in 3 hours;
Off to Rifle Range creek #3 Up and away - Found - pretty straight forward. There is barely a track along hear but just enough to see a way, in some places wet under foot despite no good rain for a week. There are heaps of little black mossies. The log is very fragile and will need attention soon.
After that I set my GPS to Rifle Range creek #1 Golf course view - again the track is almost non-existent but follow the creek, there is a slight trail. A bit of a bush bash in places with spiders and mossies. I had pre read the hint and spotted it from a way off. Cache is in great condition.
Back tracking, off shooting and bush bashing to a DNF ~ Rifle Range creek #4 Round here somewhere - I spent 30 mins going round and round the one structure. Messaged the CO for extra hints. Perhaps in future.
From there I set out to do Rifle Range creek #2 Invacare, a minute and it was CIH, Cache is in very good shape.
Now off to Ensconced - Lord have mercy what have I got into !! Difficulty 1.5 wow ! I’m thinking 2.5, Terrain I agree 3.5 at a minimum (I came in from Trent Road after doing Rifle Range creek #2 Invacare. Hardly a trail and you really need to watch your footing. Many big rocks and caves to admire and scramble over. Just trust your GPS. Great hide. I could have easily missed this one but it had that tell-tale signature. Good container too. All in excellent order.
Now to get out of here towards Rifle Range creek #5 The Cresent Trail. I came up from Enconsed “DON’T DO THAT !” unless you have insect repellent, strong grippy shoes and are training for an Ironman event. I almost phoned in the Westpac Rescue Chopper. I slipped down one rock crevice and felt my knee twinge I grabbed it quickly and I think I was pretty lucky. Writing this log up at home it seems OK. Where was the Rescue chopper going to land anyway !! I had to stop half way up the other side for a drink - man no water bottle on the hook !!! I bashed out to Randall Street and then it was a quite easy path. A large cache with spot on Co-ords. All in very good condition. I picked up the trackable Wood Po Po TB7CM32 and will take to QLD on an upcoming trip - Covid permitting !
I um and arh!d about Keyhole tree as I was really knackered but it was only 185m or so and I sussed it was on the well-defined Cresent Trail Walking Track. Found quite easily, the cache is in very good condition. Cool tree - well once it wasn't!
Walking back to my car along Randal St I bumped into my Optometrist ! I asked him if there was trail from Perry St or Lenton Place to The Cresent trail - you know what he said ... "Not that I've ever seen" !! We laughed, I was exhausted ! Well there is a bit of a trail now.
A good day out

Yay! Our last cache for the day. GPS was off so we were looking at the wrong objects for awhile, but when we used the clue solely and looked around at other objects we were able to find it easily. The boys enjoyed the orange bug. TFTC!
Teamed up with marj01 for a days caching, our first outing in a while. The break from caching has sharpened marj01's senses as he was on fire today when it came to finding the hides. TFTC Sicad69
The weather has been amazing lately and seeing as am out of work for now I decided to take full advantage of the sunshine and grabbing some smilies. After spending some time out in Kellyville and then Cherrybrook finding caches, I decided to call it a day and head home, or so I thought. I was driving nearby and decided to stop in here and grab a couple more, because, why not? I had three on my radar I wanted to find around here and quickly made this find after parking. Easy to spot. Find 5/7 for today

Cache nr 2 on this lovely Easter Sunday. Searched in the wrong spot at first, widened the search and found it.TFTC
Almost a park and grab while waiting for muggles to clear the scene.

When I get to each work site for weed control I always check for caches. One was 20m from where I parked. Thought grab that later but could see as I walked back for smoko a lot closer to the car then gz. So grabbed it. Container starting to perish. Tftc
Glorious Autumn day despite being a little under the weather, a little caching. An easy find once looking in the right area. TFTC
Had to bypass this one earlier with a muggle sitting in their car right at GZ. After finding Rifle Range Steps, I decided not to back track but to do a big loop around and with a bit of street walking through the industrial area (which I also never knew was there) I made it back to Rifle Range Creek #2. Phew, no cars at GZ. Made a quick find. SL, TFTC and thank you Sicad69 for a great adventure through a bushland area that I never knew existed.
I finished work for the day and just had enough time to go and grab one cache.
I parked on Lenton Pl and found the area to be pretty much deserted. Not a muggle or moving car in sight.
At the GZ the plant life was wet from recent rain but the cache, which i was able to locate quickly, was nice and dry.
Thanks.

Came over to North Rocks for a couple of caches today.
Even though its Sunday there must be something on in this industrial area as I thought there'd never be a break in the stream of turning traffic into the street. Finally there was a gap and I drove down to Invacare and parked a short walk from GZ.
Over to the spot and I could see the cache but retrieving it was going to be tricky as that stream of traffic was heading straight towards me, turning in the cul de sac and entering the carpark. I waited more than 5 minutes then decided to just go for it hoping whoever saw what I did would soon forget as they went to their activity.

Came out on a fresh Sunday afternoon to explore Rifle Range Creek. Last one of the day for us and then a longish walk back along North Rocks Road to where we parked near #1. Will return anther day to hunt for #5. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
A sunny Sunday saw us picking up a few caches in the North Rocks area. This one was the first, after having parked at Lenton Place. The nearby church was having a gathering, and had a security guard in the street making sure only the right people got through to the church's parking area. We waited until he did not look towards where we were before quickly retrieving the cache, signing the log and replacing it.
OCW Rodney1210. Rodney needed a cache for the day and so we found ourselves here for a quick park and grab. TFTC!
Quick find this morning. Looked at a red thing then looked at some signs and made the find. I left this critter for a geokid.
Explained to muggle that I wasn't working here I was just going for a walk.

Thankfully no more bush bashing required for this one.....I followed a well defined path and soon had CIH

One of our work suppliers used to be down the end here so I knew the area reasonably well. The phone wanted me the other side of the track but a quick use of my caching instincts and I had cache in hand quickly enough and signed before heading off down the track for another couple. Thanks Sicad69.

In between meetings saw some free time. A quick grab here
I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at

Perths big event is on again.

Found this afternoon with Snoopy1976. Took a couple of minutes as the GPS kept jumping around. TFTC
Had 10 minutes spare in the area and how better to fill in the time?
Nice and quick.
Thanks Cicad69
Nice and quick.
Thanks Cicad69
Nice quick find. then I went for a wander down the path to find another not so easy one. Must have been some sort of Chinese church thing on down there for Easter, there were buses and everything when I came back out. TFTC
Nice and easy quick find after work on a very wet day in Sydney for my cache of the day. TFTC Sicad69!
Came this way to get the car assessed after the hail damage from the other week. Got there early, so drove down the road and parked nearby and then made a quick find. SL and replaced. TFTC.
Visited today and replaced missing items so cache could be relocated back to original location. All OK cache on!
Drove down here after an event and with the rain, was just after a park and grab. Followed the cacher loop trail to the hide and as expected, CIH quickly, TFTC
Found this cache laying in the open about 8 metres from where the gps signal was pointing. Not sure where it is meant to be hidden, but it was intact, so I just hid it better where I found it. Thanks for the cache.
I went to find this cache the other night and realised I had already found it with Martin Cousins. Checked my online logs and discovered I logged the wrong Rifle Range cache. Deleted the incorrect log and now logging the correct log, nice quick find. SL #2923 on streak day #1697 TFTC
Only a chance to find two today...this was my second. there was certainly something happening in the nearby property. There were car going in and out constantly. TFTC
No bush bashing was required to make this find. It was easily spotted from the right angle and was in a very quiet muggle free area on a Saturday. Our name was added to the log and then all was replaced in position. Thanks to Sicad69 for a lovely easy to find cache.
Found it on a warm spring Sunday while out with the dog. Looks like a very busy church nearby, I don't think anyone was paying any attention to us. I used a previous finders' coordinates and found it quickly. TFTC
I hadn’t noticed the change in coordinates but my GPSr took me straight to the correct place anyway. The cache is a bit precarious. There is only a single very small magnet which is loose within the container. Anyway, it’s hanging in there, just.
Thanks Sicad69.
Thanks Sicad69.
A quick find. It's very busy here atm as there is a church nearby. Coordinates are a bit of
Quick easy park and grab, just needed a quick find today to get my Halloween badge. TFTC.
Ran into a couple of likely lad geocachers on my way to this cache. One of them said it wasn't where they found it a week ago as they'd come past it and checked on their way to others in the series. On arrival I checked the object they described and also found nothing. I went through the logs and saw that the CO had moved the cache but not updated the coords. The new coords were in the log but the page needs editing. It wasn't far away and I made a quick find anyway. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Nice quick find here today.
Didn't notice the change in coordinates, but no problem with the spot where I found this one - it was logical and the second I checked.
Completed signing duties in the shade (luckily *The Hademobile* was also in the shade nearby), then back for the replace.
Will be back for more in this series.
