Logs
Located quickly enough with all the guardians protecting the hide , beware they bite . Container is damaged needs a new lid , I drained the water , the log is completely wet could sign it so have inserted a new log for next person to also use . But maintenance really needed on container. TFTC
Walked along the line looking for these caches. We couldn't find this one. Can the owner please check?
I looked around , found a stack of rocks , but idk if it used to be there or what
Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 1. I managed to get away early enough to try and find a few caches a bit further south than Picton where this evenings stop was planned. I made it to Colo Vale, Bargo and Tahmoor and the areas in between. It was a warm day and some of the walks were fun. Plenty of interesting caches found and not found during the day. Dinner was a microwave dinner in the company of Joolay and Kitty Katch in Picton before I returned to Bargo for a night with the trains.
I did this walk in a few sections. One of these caches was very wet, but I am not sure if it was this one or another. I know why there was not much accommodation around now as this weekend was a steam weekend.
Thanks for the cache trickygav

Happened to drop by while doing some train spotting during the festival of steam! Tftc
I was about 5m from GZ when I heard and (kind of) saw some creature scuttle off in front of me. I consulted myself with the fact that 1. It was relatively smallish 2. Judging by the way it scuttled, it appeared to have legs and 3. It was heading away from me. With that problem resolved, it was then a quick find of the cache and.... Hooray! This one is in good shape with the log able to be signed! Loved the cache guardians, a little different to the norm. I removed a golf ball which was preventing the lid from closing - don't want this one to end up like the others in the series! Tftc!
So today is the day, I am finally going to get my 200th. Both Mizcupcake and I have been planning a run down the Southern Highlands for some time but plans had always fell through. Finally making our way back and getting a nice and early start, the sunshine in Spring makes for a great day. This is the 9th find for today and another soggy log. Parking the geomobile and making our way down the path. A really quick and easy find in the series but unfortunately the log needs maintenance. TFTC!
Today is a big day for Littl3Vix and I, its the day she got her 200th (we know exactly where we are going ) and also just cause general geo trouble in the Southern Highlands, which is almost untouched by us, because plans have always fallen through until now. So far we have made good progress, this being find number 9 for the day and we are enjoying this walk along the train line. Another quick find once at GZ. Thanks for the cache and lovely walk!
Visiting friends at Thirlmere today and decided to do these seven caches.

Glad I didn't attempt this series from the road and opted to walk from the station along the line northwards. A nice series- everything pretty easy to locate. Walked back from #5 mainly along the train line and road. TFTC!
Decided to pick up this run of caches while heading south with ilook4geo. It was a bit of a sad run. People have already said about the broken containers and the soggy logs, but no maintenance has happened as yet. Such a pity! It would be much more appealing if the CO could bring this run back to life. Thanks for the cache and hopefully for some future maintenance.
Came along here to do some caching with goingplaces2. Found what we were looking for, but some were in very poor condition. Signed the log and replaced as found. TFTC.
On our usual route between Sydney and Canberra, we thought we'd break up the drive with a few caches.
We decided to take a detour and do the "A walk along the line" series. It was a very dusty walk, but we had fun despite encountering dangerously fast dirt bike riders, and even met Thomas on the tracks! Some of the caches had broken lids and very (very) wet logs. Others have already mentioned those, so we didn't take note of which ones they were - sorry! We left goodies in the dry ones.

Find # 8268
Found while up at the Gong event.
Seeing as I was still all alone after grabbing the mega geoart. With no messages on the phone from anyone needing or looking for me. I headed west, as I still needed to feed the smiley addiction. Also I was interested to see what the map would bring up.
Well from over the M31 I had a great selection.
A couple of oldies, a few nanos, some good short walks and all the time needed to do them in.
Also realized there was a couple of puzzles that were easily solved n grabbed in the area.

Followed the geo track to this one for another obvious find. TFTC and pleasant walk along the line.
Still walking and it looks like a storm is coming - hope not, no wet weather gear!
This one gave a better look at the train tracks which were interesting as they were metal rather than timber or concrete.
There was a definite cacher track towards this cache hide!
There are also clear tracks from the roadside where I guess muggles park and walk over to watch the trians go past.

Took my pal Buddha for a walk and he sniffed it out. good little hiding spot!!
I noticed a nice old sandstone culvert under the railway embankment on the way to this one. Easy find.
Another lovely cache. I'll have to return with a mountain bike. Sigh. I say this a lot
Headed off for a caching day around Bargo with Azzepious and Lokied. We were aiming for some of the high D/T caches along the 'power trail' in Bargo. We managed to grab quite a few, and only obtained some minor scrapes and scratches for our trouble. All logs were signed as 'Team GOGGGG' the Group of Glorious Gaming and Geocaching Geeks.
We decided to do a cache loop back to the freeway. We parked where we could along the power trail and walked back when we had to.

Out for a day of geocaching around the Buxton area with Azzepious and mrsmith00 to help celebrate my 40th, grab a few high D/T combos, and bring some form of respectability to my numbers! All logs signed as GOGGGG.

#22of 32 - Continuing along the trail with Azzepious, with mrsmith00 leapfrogging us in the car.

Decided to do the caches along the train line by foot. Parked up near the end and walked down to the station to start collecting caches. No trains today but passed a couple of horse riders going the opposite way along the quite dusty track. There were very few pedestrian muggles and, although the roads on either side had a fair bit of traffic, there were some pretty big gaps which meant I didn't need to be too stealthy. Most caches were relatively quick finds and in good condition.
Thanks for placing this series, trickygav.
Grabbed Frisky_puppet's pathtag to add to my collection.
