D'oh!! We have a tent right opposite GZ tonight but absolutely no way to access.
DNF. The GZ is now covered permanently and this needs maintenance.l and a CO check
Team effort here with Child of Atom & ESCR jr. It took a while to find, but a previous picture took us right to the location! TFTC
Over for the Oz GeoMuster event, and now I'm touring around the city. Came by here to pick up the virtual nearby that has a D/T combo that I needed and hung out to get a few of the trads that are also available on the island. Thanks for the cache!
Where do you even begin looking? Needle... Haystack... Glad there were no campers around to watch me
While in the city today we thought we would just head over to Cockatoo island for a visit, along with ilook4geo. Started looking for this one but changed position after reading a previous log. Found it further along and our GPS also said it was about 15 metres from the listed co-ords. Signed the log with two more names and went on to do some more exploring around the island. Thank you to xyrocco for placing this cache.
After arriving in the city from outer suburbia, went for a visit to Cockatoo Island with goingplaces2. Enjoyed seeing places of interest from history and finding some caches as well. This one was not a quick and easy find, as the co-ords seemed to be out by quite a bit. Did find it however and signed the log. TFTC.
Others clues helped a little, but found it by sitting in different rocky sections. Tftc
Beautiful day for an outing with my 2yo son. We caught the ferry across to Woolwich had a very nice stroll collecting a couple of easily found cache and then back on the ferry across to Cockatoo Island to pick up my last trad on the island which has been outstanding for sometime. 2.5hrs later we were back in Balmain.
Thanks to the very generous hint in the prior log and a recent pic this one was found remarkably quickly.

Really hard find... best hint as stated earlier is to face the tents not the water
Big hint, possible spoiler below:

Found with xXFireLordXx. Difficult find. Took a bit of time to find, let alone getting to the little bugga. Once found, Firelord and I felt accomplished. Good spot to hide a geocache. Thanks for no help, firelord
Today, Hai Happen and I were enjoying Sydney in windy but sunny weather. After visiting Darling Harbour, we decided to make a visit to Cockatoo Island. And of course we had to search for some cache here as well. This was the first one on the Island and took us quite a while to find it. It the end, we managed, though. Luckily, we were on our own and undisturbed.
Thank you for the cache!

gatta nera and Hai Happen married! and what comes after a marriage? ok, her name is still gatta nera and not yet gatta Happen, but would be quit interesting
so, next is honeymoon
so, the decision was made, it should go to Australia, with a 12 hour stop over in Singapore to check out the bay area.
our third day in Sydney, that means also, our last station on our honeymoon trip trough Australia.
today was another day on which we discovered Sidney a little bit and took a cachere here and there, and also took the Ferry to Cockatoo Island. In the evening we did also the Vivid@Zoo walk.

Like the other logs the cache was approx 10m West of GZ. With 4 People on the hunt we were able to cover the ground in no time!
Thanks for placing the cache out on the island. My fourth find for the day.

Well hidden! A great day out at the Island. TFTC. Found with @cookiesandpie @cache_me_if_you_cam @cache_me_outside69 ️
Had a nice walk down to GZ but a Muggle was sitting admiring the view and not looking like they were leaving anytime soon. There was only so long I could stand there taking photos before I had to move on myself with tired Geokids and a ferry due soon so had to give this one a miss today, maybe if we get out here again I'll give it a go, hopefully that will be sooner rather than later!
Thank you for an interesting cache. Lovely area.
A very well hidden cache. Thanks for the placement which we enjoyed finding. Log signed and cache returned as found.

This time around I came with more time for a good search as year ago I had to leave the island with a sad face on this one.
One last log helped me narrow the search, and soon I had CIH. Took two TB
Thanx for the cache

A ver very difficult one to find today. Didn’t help that it was becoming overcast and windy. Eventually found it!
Out on Cockatoo Island for the day with Geo-sister to complete my finds on the island...my kids renamed this place Seagull Island!
TFTC, we know this type of camo by now, but still tricky to spot!

Today we went with the ferry to Cockatoo Island to look for some caches and to see this UNESCO Heritage Area.
It was very interesting to go around and look at the historic buildings and the Lost Place.
Here we look very long and was about to giving it up, as we found the caches 10 metres off.
TB out- TB in.
TFTC and greetings from Denmark

Today we all headed over to Cockatoo Island, taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.70 per head capped Opal Card fares, to visit the Earthcache in the Dog Leg Tunnel and to also see if we could clear the last Traditional cache for us on the island, both of which had appeared after our previous visit to Cockatoo Island.
With Sunday trackwork closing down our beloved North Shore rail line we had to resort to getting into the city via the B-Line bus, then walked through the pedestrian tunnel from Wynyard to Barangaroo, and then caught a ferry to Cockatoo Island. This was the 1st of 2 finds for the day.
After hopping off the ferry we headed straight up to this one, walking past all of the tents, and soon arrived at GZ. The last 4 logs were all DNF's, which didn't bode well for today's prospects, but we thought we would give it our best shot. Close to the posted coords we did find a caching container, a flattened camo taped mint tin, which we suspect is what's left of the original cache container (replaced in September 2017). Past logs indicated that the cache had been wandering between tent G15 (nearest to posted coords) and G17, with the last "Found it" log being at G17. So that is where we started to search, and it didn't take too long to make the find and have CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
The cache container is currently about 14 metres off coords, with our Garmin 62s GPSr indicating **S 33° 50.768 E 151° 10.249** at the hide, which is directly in front of tent G17. While we don't post spoiler photos we will include a "view from GZ" photo with this log to help future cachers to at least be able to find the true GZ location.
Thanks xyrocco for giving us an excuse to return to this fascinating island, and TFTC.

A trip to the island today - 5/7 caches sought found
This was ne f the 2 DNFs. We all began searching and having read previous logs it seems the seach area could be quite wide - opposite tents G15, G16 and G17 !!!
However our search was interupted and then aborted as a member of staff approached in his electric cart and told us that we should not be on the rocks and to move back on to the path
Well that stopped us searching any further !!!
Tim and Viv and Naomi - ddm

Tricky little find. Could see it but hard for the kids to get to so didn't sign the log.
Found it Followed all the previous advices - smack bang in front of tent G17, face the tents not the water, not far off the path. There are some rusty boats kind of nearly if that helps.
Looked for about 1 hour and couldn’t find squat!
I think you should check whether it’s still there.

It was on an overcast Sunday whilst Glamping literally in tent G15. Couldn’t believe it was metres away from us. SL RL
TFTC! Sunny Sunday and we decide to take a ferry to visit this amazing island. We gave a try to all of the caches but started with the virtual one. Then visited the top of the island, to finish going around the bottom part of the island and through both tunnels!
Lots of campers around so we couldn't search properly. Will come back to visit.
Thank you very much for hiding and maintaining!

Cockatoo island does indeed rock. Got it on my second try...too many muggles yesterday. GPS very dodgy today but I want leaving without my smiley f ace. TFTC.
Walked down to the rocks, was raining quite a bit but was still a fun find! Thanks
In Sydney for a show, having a great walk around the island. Rocks are never a fave, but Ol made a relatively quick find a few metres from GZ. G15, that could have been worse!! TFTC
