On a big adventure from Canberra to Esperance and back to celebrate a year of good things (Happy Birthday Krispystrips). Today was day 6 of our journey and with the car fixed we were back on the road again! Nice to have had a little break in Broken Hill but very nice to be back meandering across the country. New territory for 3/4 of us today so lots of caching to secure everyone the counties. Pulled in late to Port Augusta and spent the evening tent drying, chasing white whales and playing Happy Little Trees. Glad to have picked up another Mary Mac cache! Another great day with Porkchop72, Krispystrips and GLISS! Thanks for the cache.
Quickly found with Nibletricecakes, KrispyStrips and PorkChop72 on our way to Port Augusta as part of our Road to Esperance trip. TFTC.
Day 1 of our 5 day road trip.Ttrogg picked up the Rat from her nest, and we headed to Alford. This was a relatively easy find for us today. We stamped the log and replaced as found. Tftc
Day one of the road trip to Coober Pedy'Picked up the Rat from her nest and, after a new local cache, headed for Alford then over to Tickera before heading north to Port Augusta for the first night. A nice number of quite a variety of caches were found on the way and this was one of the ones I wanted. Thanks to Travelling Sister and Bowz2 for adding to the playing field with this cache.Smilie #15075.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Like many other, I decided to ride the water pipe rather than go the long way round, tftc.
Last night fitzy_1965 and I stayed at the Wilmington Hotel. Old facilities but new air con was a winner! And honest locals as we realised in the morning that we had left the car keys on the dashboard last night! Our plan today was to collect oldies & counties and whatever inbetween whilst making our way back to my cousin's house for a family dinner. All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. This was one of them.
34,301. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 4 : After staying overnight at the Wilmington Pub, we headed out hunting for more Counties, oldies and other interesting caches. We do enjoy meandering around the countryside doing this. Hopefully we will cross off a bunch more South Australian Counties today. Lots of great caches to choose from as well. This was the next cache - and it was a nice quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on to the next one. Thanks Travelling Sister !! Another one crossed off.
Out caching with my caching buddy, MrsShep77, and our faithful drivers. Thanks for the great hides.
Quick little detour on the way home from Whyalla.
Come visit SA's longest running annual event - keep the weekend free - 7th - 10th June 2024 Can’t wait!!

My 2nd day of my trip heading to and around the Eyre Peninsular. Today I left from Applia and ended up in Iron Knob for the night. This cache would be find number 24 of 34 for the day and find Number 32 in total for this trip away.
A slight back track but why not for a quick find.

I am on an adventure from Canberra to Port Augusta with Boston my geohound to stay with my Dad at Stirling North for a few days and had a list of caches I didn't get when I was here in April this was one of them, so happy weather was cooler to go out pulled up close to gz and saw the likely spot and yep smiling wide makes 4 finds today so far and makes total of 4128 finds. Tftc travelling sister and Bowz2
Trip to Port Augusta to get my vehicle serviced. Grab some caches on the way and also on way home as well. Tftc
Another cache found during our 2022 South Australia Adventure using Geocaching as our guide.
Thanks Travelling Sister, we can't miss a Mary MacKillop cache, though we were disappointed in the caliber of the road carrying her name.

What an epic journey we have had, just returned home from the holiday of a life time, we managed to catch up with PP2 for some caching at times, oh the memories and laughter!! Now it's time to catch up with the logging, thank you to every CO who has placed caches for us to find along the way TFTC
Just cannot pass by a Mary McKillop cache. Not a very salubrious road to have named after her. TFTC Travelling Sister and Bowz2
Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to Travelling Sister from mogni

*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Sebastbat took Jack and myself for a long drive... and we ended up at your cache
Quite surprised at how busy the major roads were, so got off the beaten track whenever we could
Seems the further north we went the more we wanted to go north, but all good things must come to an end sadly, so eventually we went home again! But we might just do it all again tomorrow
Hmm she's got a road. It's a miracle nice quick cache find along the way.
Thanks for putting it out there Travelling Sister

Wherever we go caches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*

Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

With Covid killing holiday plans interstate and holidays still to be taken, the break from work was used to grab a few caches around the area, along with tick off a few stats that we have been targeting.
This cache was ideal, ticking off a Hide Month and a Caching Day. First time driving down these side roads, adjacent to the highway, which we've driven countless times.

We popped by here to pick up another cache in the MMK series . The cache is brittle and lid has a hole in it so we replaced it with an identical container we had. All good here again.
Thank you.
Thank you.
A quick find while passing by here today. Thanks Travelling Sister for the cache.
Mr Tardis was heading past for work and stopped here after work to find this one. I found the cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Travelling Sister and Bowz2.

Found on my round Eyre Peninsula caching trip. Thanks Travelling Sister and Bowz2.
Away for a caching trip to the Arkaroola area.
A bit of 4 whell driving, lot's of dust and for me 3 punctures. These cut my trip short by a couple of days.
A quick find.

A quick find at a nice checking station that provided plenty of parking. TFTC.
We initially wanted to look for this cache a little over a week ago but as we arrived, we realised the the police had set up random breath checks on the highway immediately opposite. So we left the hunt and returned today. Thankfully all was quiet allowing fr=or an easy search. Reasonably accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Travelling Sister and Bowz2 for the cache,
Found while we toured a circuit of the Flinders Ranges, Marree, Roxby Downs, Woomera and Port Augusta for the week, mostly touring the backroads and visiting many scenic and interesting locations. This was found on the last day of our holiday on our way back home. Thanks for the cache Travelling Sister and Bowz2!
We've been wanting to drive the Strzelecki Track for a long time so a window of opportunity came up and we were out the gate!! We travelled up the Birdsville Track and down from Innamincka. Had a great time caching and admiring many views of the outback. The only casualty was the windscreen which had a close encounter with a rock on day 3. Got told in Birdsville that it wasn't bad enough to freight another up. Luckily it made it all the way home with the help of duct tape. We found some great views and historical places thanks to geocaching.

We come from the South East another place where our wonderful Mary resided and cared. Whilst hubbie sat in the car on the highway I walked across the road, through the growth to the pipe line..... had to practice my skills of maneuvering over pipes before I was able to find the cache. TFTC
Finished work at 1pm and then we got our selves packed up and off on the road to Quorn for the June Long Weekend. We were going for a few of the events but not for the game itself. We thought it would be a great trip to make for the long weekend with lots going on.
We didn't find very many caches on the way there as we wanted to get to the campsite before the sunset to get our tent up and have a sundowner beer. Then to the pub in time for the When Freddo met Sally event.
The road North was pretty busy heading to Port Augusta wonder why they still haven't made this dual carriageway the entire way.....
We only had time for 6 finds but every one counts and made for an enjoyable drive.
Could not pass over a Mary cache that we were going to drive right by. Quick little detour and the cache was quickly found, signed and replaced. Another Magic Mary ticked off the list, still plenty of SA ones to be done. TFTC Travelling Sister and Bowz2

Aptly names approach road. Quick find at go. Replaced broken container. Always love a Mary Mac cache.
Wasn't where we thought it would be after reading the hint, went back over the logs to find that somebody else thought it was a good idea to move it
We are on the homeward leg of the annual sun chasing trip. Spent a day around Port Augusta while the caravan was repaired. TFTC.
Another miracle.
This cache was found on the epic trip to the west to find GC4078 Traditional Cache Twilite. The goal was not only this and other caches, but sand, surf, flight and photography - a perfect combination.
Thanks to Travelling Sister and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!

After a short trip along a dusty corrugated road we arrived at GZ where it took a little while to find this one. Sometimes it doesn't pay to overthink things!!!
An interrupted search with a car leaving the adjacent property and one travelling along the dirt road and back. Perhaps they were checking out the property opposite which is for sale. Coming from a fertile farming area in North West Tasmania it's a bit hard to imagine the appeal of a paddock full of saltbush!!!!
Thanks.

Good hint. Fortunately I could reach. I liked that hide, but the cache is very exposed to the sun there and I felt what I thought was very early signs the plastic is deteriorating, so I placed the cache at the base, where vegetation will shade it. TFTC Travelling Sister and Bowz2.
Travelling from Port Pirie to Port Lincoln today and this was our second find. Love collecting the MM caches on my travels. Hint was very helpful - thanks Travelling Sister and Bowz2.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Heading back to Adelaide after working in the area yesterday and decided to find a cache or two before hitting the track back to the big smoke. Had found a nearby cache and saw this was close so decided to walk to this one. Wandered along the road. Approaching GZ I had to cross an obstacle and as I crossed I spotted the cache. Signed the log and replaced. I always like these caches. Lots of interesting information.

Easy find with Dr Owl and Gizmos Gang!! Thanks Travelling Sister for the hide!!
CPWanderer, Gizmo's Gang and Owl ran away for a caching adventure. It's always nice to find another Mary cache and this was a quick find because of a good clue.
Mrs Gizmo escaped for a two day caching trip to Port Augusta with Dr Owl and CPwanderer.
I think this is only my second Mary MacKillop find. Thankfully I was with taller people than I today, as I wouldn't have been able to reach on my own.
