Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed south from Brisbane to attend a friend's one-year birthday party celebration. Consequently, we decided to make a day of our time within the Gold Coast. We spent the morning visiting Hope Island, Jabiru Island, Coombabah, and Runaway Bay, and in the process, we completed *North East Gold Coast Skatepark Tour* and *Parks around Coombabah* Adventure Labs. After having a late lunch at Southport, we had a walk around the CBD area completing the *Southport Heritage Walk - Part 2* Wherigo adventure. A sunny and warm afternoon in the end, with many people out and about enjoying picnics and time on the water.
Whilst in the area completing an Adventure Lab, we walked past here, and had a pretty good search around for this cache. No luck today, and I suspect it may be missing, so a CO check may be required to see it is just nicely hidden, or required to be replaced. Thanks anyway Berecc and david779 for the cache placement.

Down the coast to find a few caches and see how much the place has changed. This area along the river is beautiful and hasn't changed really at all in the last 20 yrs unlike the rest of the coast.
Was looking in a different area until a log mentioned something that caught my attention. Looked a little higher and there it was.

Thanks Berecc and david779 for giving us a reason to visit.

Yay! I beat everyone too it. Im a little vertically challenged but I managed to spot something shiny
Out and about caching today on the Gold Coast. Arrived at GZ and started looking. Took some time but eventually found. TFTC
Mr. Herbz was the taller so he was the one to extract the cache. Nice to have an easy one after spending ages on the last cache and still not finding it! Great hidey hole. TFTC.
Lots of holes to poke around and of course I checked them all before I found the right one, tftc
Hooray! We have found our first cache. It was many thanks to all the people putting their say into the comments. It was such an e xillerating
Yea that was tricky. So many places a digit could go in. Keep searching it’s there. Read past logs.
Second attempt but finally found this one after reading the notes and realising I was missing one obvious thing. TFTC.
Originally looking at wrong height to stick finger in. Had to search higher and found. No pen but happy for the find.
Found it. New geocaching family so took us a while. Hints finally helped us. Well hidden. Great fun
my first time on the hunt for this but did not find it but there were a lot of things to stick my finger in though
Selva Girls and I were out for the day, continuing to clear this area. This cache took us WAY longer than it should have, but we finally made the find. Tftc Berecc and David779
Out for a day of caching with stortigirls. This was the first cache of the morning. We obviously needed more caffeine as it took waaaay longer to find than it should have. With our names finally in the log, we headed off to the next one. TFTC
I was sure the tree with a hole at the GZ would be the cache location, yet nothing found. The photo is looking down the hole in the tree, and no cache seen. The presence of muggles made an extensive search difficult.
Upon logging this DNF, the comments of Look Up was noticed, I did not look up, so clearly I missed the hide.

Thanks for the hide! My first local find back in Australia Took me a few mins - good spot
Took a while to put my appendages into all sorts of places! Then geo kid spotted the spot! Thanks!
Gold Coast Day 1
Todays trip took us north into the Coomera area. Lots of new housing estates we visited not knowing that they existed. Even my GPS didn't know some roads.
Searched for some time without finding it, returned to the car .read the logs & it was back for another search. Found it.
Thanks for placing this cache Berecc

When we arrived at GZ we knew that there were many possible hides for this cache. We started a systemmatic search and it wasn't long before the cache was located and was in hand. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Berecc and david779 for the cache.
