Is there some significance between having free camping and being next to the local cemetery.? TFTC
I'm leaving the new Mrs Mister JD at home while I go to care for my aged Mum in Brisbane for a couple of weeks while my brother visits his grandkids in Sydney. I'm looking forward to seeing
mum but sad to be leaving my wife at home. I'm taking four days for the trip because
I want to find caches, and long trips are way in my past due to my crook back. Caching is ideal as I can stop and start practically as I like. Today's leg is home to Dubbo. I got off to a late start, and found the traffic out of Canberra was horrendous, so I took a back road just out of town, and finished up doing part of a power trail before I got to Yass. I really enjoyed that road, but took too long and found only a few more on the rest of the day. I did stop quite a few times for my back and to give Sophie GeoSchnauzer a bit of a run. Sophie is a bit sad, we have just lost her lifetime companion, Oscar GeoSchnauzer at the ripe old age of fifteen and a half.
This is day 2 of my journey, driving from Dubbo to Tamworth via less traveled ways. We started in Dubbo, collecting caches, fuel and supplies, then headed to Dunedoo, then on to Coolah, Breeza and Carroll. finding caches and a couple of delightful power trails along the way.
Today is day 3 of my trip. Starting in Tamworth, I'm doing some trails and interesting caches around Tamworth, then heading for Stanthorpe. My old Dad used to tell me I wouldn't know what day it was. I never believed him, but now there is evidence. Today, on the 18th April, I signed all my logs with 17th of April. Oh well, he will be having a good chuckle from his perch in heaven ...
Another easy one, and the last one in this direction.
Find no 6 of 29 today. Thanks, Whitey Wiskas

Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 3. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we headed out to do caching trails around Tamworth to the North. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost ever cache.
Thanks.

20,490. Found with albida33 during a meander up to and around the Tamworth and Armidale regions.
Day 3 of our trip. Headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be a big days caching. We aimed to hit some of the trails around the region. Next stop of the day, and we came up with a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

Hi there Whitey Wiskas.
Today was a drive from Tamworth to Duri, and then out to Lake Keepit, logging caches along the way. The caches we found were all well placed, and the for the most part had pretty accurate coordinates. We can see that a lot of thought has gone into the placement of all the caches we found today.
All up we found 23 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run. Thanks for placing the caches. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Whilst in Tamworth having a day of caching along the road to Warialda then over to Lake Keepit. We appreciated the variety of cache containers, placement and the surroundings they were placed in. Thanks to all the COs fro your time and effort in placing these caches for us to find.
Decided to spend a few days in Tamworth with my geodog Scruffy, so we just had to get out and find some of the caches hidden in my old home town.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Find No: 6482. Visiting from Newcastle, staying with friends at Ogunbil, lots of new caches since we were here last, thanks for the cache Whitey Wiskas!!
Spotted the cache but when we removed it it was covered in army grub caterpillars. Yuck. Brushed them off. SLTN left another penny. Thanks Whitey
I have had a fabulous day today. It started with Pa and I exploring Keepit Dam (grabbing the caches of course) and then I commandeered the car and drove into Tamworth finishing the caches I hadn't already found. After lunch I headed north to see how many of Whitey Wiskas caches I could find.
I only had 1 DNF for the day and that was offset by finding a cache I hadn't solved yet!
Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for us to find. It certainly adds enjoyment to our travels.
All logs were signed as SG as I often do in small caches to save space.

We assumed the "big one", but then after looking at our GPSr after a few moments we realised we were 22 metres from GZ [:o)]
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.

Found in the company of pprass, we started searching in the wrong place in the beginning, but worked out where we were supposed to be looking . TFTC
This morning we spent at Ag Quip. On the way home we detoured to find a couple of caches.
We were able to park close to GZ, after a short search we soon found the cache. We mentioned as we drove along how good the paddocks look with the variety of colour.

Really appreciate a shady, mowed and spacious pull off spot to look for a cache and because the last finder mentioned the co-ordinates were 14 metres out, that's where we went. Of course it could have been 14 metres in another direction but this looked a likely spot. A quick find of a blank logbook. Wait a minute!! where's everyone else signing ??? Hehe! new logbook? There for a second we had a flashing FTF thought which was pretty silly considering we'd just read the last log. TFTC Whitey Wiskas
TFTC, should be a quick park and grab but GZ had me roadside with no places to look, checked the obvious structure 16 metres away and a quick find was had. Co ords might need re checking as they seem to be well out.
Found on 2801, seems Coords out by about 14 metres. Cache was found at s31 3.358 e150 49.615, nice cache which took a second trip after the CM Festival parade to find. Tftc
Unless the Coords were out 10 metres in two directions ,will have to leave this for the wide open spaces of my mind. Wasn't brave enough to remain roadside for too long as fast traffic nearby while head was down, tftc anyway
1050 hrs A little tricky one!! Well done Whitey Wiskas...( took a little while to discover) All aok with the cache!! + a 2TF...
