A nice tour around town and after widening our search to encompass the hint, we located the cache. Found with micaparamedic and feathertop this morning. Thanks for the cache Mark9375.
Last cache in Bright. Found this morning with Mclookers and micaparamedic. 2 days up here to gather the waypoints. Not too hard to find with the hint.In good condition. Cheers
10 August 2024 08:16Enjoyed gathering the info to get me to gz but I did not enjoy looking for the cache unfortunately. What a shame the container can't be moved to a better spot. I don't think that will be happening since the CO haven't looked at their profile since 2020.
My first time here with a friend so I wanted to introduce geocaching to her cause she knew all the streets. Nice and easy but the coords led us to the wrong side of the path but we still got it. Log was wet to the pencil didnt really do much but got it to work.
DNF. Had a lovely wait around Bright but a struggled to find at GZ. Double-checking of maths and coordinates didn't help unfortunately.
No luck with this one. Walked aroubd Bright after breakfast to collect the information. Headed toward GZ. Very close the private property so read the logs which directed us across the path. Had a good hunt near the matching item to the clue but didnt have any luck. It hasnt been found in over 6mths so maybe its MIA? Or maybe our GZ was off. We will mark the DNF now and revisit in the future.
First full day in Bright. Decided a walk around town would be a good way to familiarise ourselves, find good coffee, and enjoy the excelent weather. Because the final was some distance away, we were slightly sceptical of our co-ords, but our fears were allayed when we approached GZ, and found a couple of likely spots. Dodged several groups of muggles, spotted the cache (wet, but writeable), logged it and returned as found. TFTC Mark9375.
I did this multi cache on several different occasions. Firstly I was passing the bright library not long after arriving to town, so took down some info and carried on.On another occasion I was strolling the rail trail when I suddenly realised I was passing the bright railway station so again did some learning. Followed not long later with the apex park. Then the last pieces of the puzzle were nutted out while sipping a brew nearby leaving the final.... for another occasion. Which happened to be today!I was in town and it was early so I went for a wander and found this cache! Had to outwait some muggles of course, this is bright after all. Thank you Mark9375 for choosing to hide a multi cache leading me around in this beautiful little town.A random photo from the day to celebrate.
Thank for the lovely walk through part of beautiful, Bright. It was really enjoyable walk and working out the clues along the way was good fun. Although we did take a while to find the final cache. I was thinking in the wrong spot and maybe needed to go back and check out answers. Well done to my wife whos spotted it!Very enjoyable.TFTC
Had some lovely lunch at the Beechworth bakery and decided to tackle this multi.Really enjoyed the different waypoints and quickly found the final while dodging river tubing muggles.TFTC
Rechecking calculations and GPS coordinates we set out for a short stroll to locate this one this morning. After the rain the past couple of days the outer container had water in it, but inner container and log safe and dry inside. Thanks for the challenge and discovery.
Walked around town after dinner, and found all the Collected the information last night.First job of the morning was making the findOut caching with D@geoThank you the hide Mark9375
Collected the information and done the sums last night while out for an evening walk. This morning a quick find was made by gwd.aussie before we headed homewards bound. Thanks Mark9375 for taking us to locations that we would never normally get to.
Tag along and I had the chance to visit Bright for a few days and used the bikes provided to ride around the township. This was one of the caches we tackled. As we explored Bright on our bikes, we collected all necessary info and walked back out to GZ the next day where the nicely hidden cache was found.Impressed by all the sights and the carefully worded questions and guidance given by you. A FP donated as a result.I wasn't very sure about my calculations. I had to redo Q1 even though I had read your instructions but forgotten to follow them. Thanks for the fun Mark9375
After solving the puzzle and touring the many locations this cache had to offer, I sat at Apex park to figure out my math (witch admittably, I'm terrible at) and after plugging in the cords I was presented with "invalid corodinants". My heart sank.... so I went over my math again and apparently id pulled a random number out of nowhere but luckily still had the answers on my note pad so I redid the answer and all was clear. I wasn't sure if I had the coords correct so I consulted a previous finder and asked for confirmation. Which luckily I got correct! Upon approaching gz I struggled a little and had a look at some previous finders logs. And so I stuck my head in a bush and started looking. I suddenly heard some people coming and was to far in to get out at the time. They asked "are you okay?" Obviously concerned about the stranger they'd just found sticking out of a bush. I responded with yeah! Just geocaching as to which they stayed and we had a lovely conversation about it after finding the container. So I got to educate some muggles too! a really enjoyable hide TFTC
Thank you for the history lesson around Bright; we enjoyed the walk along the way! Log is a damp and may need replacing soon! TFTC

Winter holidays in Bright... As we wandered Bright, we were instantly captivated by the idyllic atmosphere that enveloped the town. The main street, lined with vibrant trees, burst forth with a kaleidoscope of colors, welcoming us with open arms. We meandered through the bustling streets, exploring boutique shops filled with local crafts, delightful cafes serving freshly brewed coffee, and inviting restaurants offering a taste of the region's culinary delights.
With a GPS in hand, we set out to discover the town's hidden treasures. The Ovens River, a sparkling vein of life that ran through the heart of Bright, proved irresistible. We followed its meandering path, crossing charming footbridges and admiring the tranquil waters that mirrored the surrounding natural beauty.
Leaving the riverbank behind, we ventured into the enchanting parks that dotted the town. Bright's gardens were a botanical wonderland, brimming with native flowers and lush greenery. We wandered through fragrant rose gardens, marveling at the intricate patterns of blooms that seemed to whisper secrets of a bygone era. The scent of nature filled the air, mingling with the sounds of birdsong, creating a symphony that resonated in our hearts.
A previous log helped us make the find as it's probably on the other side of the path as to where your co-ords are telling you! Thanks for the cache Mark9375, 4bait and 1k2ate.

In Bright today as we start to head towards home. Spent some time grabbing what was needed for this hide. Once near GZ it took a bit of poking about to eventually find this. It was found on the opposite of the path and after using the hint but it was a big log.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

TFTC! Had a great tour around the town. GZ is not at the coords but on the other side of the path.
Found by Mary and David at 16:15. Getting a bit tired after a long day and many steps. We loved all the places that this multi took us to, and we learned a lot. Bright at any time of year is wonderful, but we've never seen the Ovens River with so much fast-moving water. The sounds were very soothing and relaxing.Enjoyed the walk to GZ. Left "The Melbourne Event 2015 Geocoin", and gave a FP. Our thanks to Mark9375.
So much fun. Thanks for the riddles. Larger cache has water ingress but smaller one is dry
Log and pencil in good conditoon

Found it… beware the “poo-jogger” deposit unfortunately for my wife it was her turn to go in and retrieve this one… she was a bit grossed out by what she found in there lol
Found with [@coybear2000](http://coord.info/PR9547H). We were taking a walk in Bright, and what better way to explore a town than by doing a multi. It was an enjoyable walk and we soon had the needed info. We saw that the new co-ords were on our way back to our accommodation. We arrived and started searching but had no luck. C read some previous logs that mentioned it being some meters out, he started looking elsewhere and soon had CIH. We had to wait for some muggles to continue past before returning the hide. TFTC.
Walking around Bright with Trodectus so this was a good cache to do after morning tea. After getting co-ords GZ was on our walk back to our accommodation. On arriving GZ like a previous cacher we moved about 10 meters away and located hide. Log signed and returned. TFTC.
NOTE: Replaced log book as it was completely soaked. Popped another container inside the original.
GZ was about 10m from my calculations,, but found it using the hint and a previous log. I was also in the opposite side of the river.
Loved the walk around Bright. It’s so pretty. SL at 15.15pm.

Cache found completely soaked. Needs maintenance! Still, an awesome way to see Bright on foot, TFTC.
Thanks for the tour of bright
First multi cache and first time following coordinates
Was happy to see my calculations were correct and I found it
Cheers

No one was more surprised than I when I found it. I must’ve mucked up something in my calculations and the original GZ was not anywhere near this. So I fiddled with the numbers and came up with a spot that looked alright and lo and behold it was! But yes, the logbook is very wet. I managed to scratch my name to some extent.
Thanks for all the effort in setting up this cache. It’s shown me around lots of spots in Bright that I might not have seen. TFTC

Thank goodness for previous logs. Coords about 13m out. Then hint works. Bright is such a lovely town. First visit and will come back.
Down in Wangaratta for the weekend to target come caches in the Warby Range, we did not have time for during the Mega. Today Kittykatch and I decided to come up via Falls Ck to get a new county. Fabulous drive.
Thanks For getting me out and about Mark9375

Drive to Mt Beauty and Bright
Joolay and I departed Wangaratta for a drive out to the mountains. Perfect autumn weather for a caching toad trip.
We stopped off to find this multi that I DNFd last time I was here. Read through previous logs and moved my search to the river side of the track and made the find. Log book is very wet
Thanks for putting out this cache Mark9375

This was second on this afternoon's pre-dinner stroll around town. With a GZ calculated, I mosied on over and after finding the way in, soon had the stash in hand at 16:30.
Unfortunately, the logbook was totally saturated but I was still able to get my details into it. Now to head back to meet the boys.
TNLNSL. Thanks Mark9375, 4bait and 1k2ate.

A lovely walking tour of Bright that showed us a few interesting places. At GZ the coords led us astray, but reading previous logs put us in the right place.
As others have stated, it needs to be dried out and a new ziplock bag supplied though we were able to scribble our name into the logbook.

This was a fun stroll around Bright on a beautiful summer’s day. I visited the locations a bit out of order (3421), but the clues were very clear and soon I had a GZ location a little way off. I particularly liked the walk along the creek leading to location 4 - an unexpected find and one I returned to with the family who’d been busy at the shops.
At GZ I started across into what looked like someone’s property, but then read some logs and retreated to the other side of the path and a space that matched the hint.
The log was pretty wet and probably should be dried out and given a new ziplock bag.
My stamp handled it OK and I was off.

Enjoyed the Bright tour and then was just about to give up - and then saw the dog poop bags. Co-ords plot on wrong side of track. For the rest - as described - TFTC
Found with Keysl32. Log book damp. Might need a new zip lock bag unfortunately didn’t have one on me.
Found it this time, now that it's not missing anymore. Everything was moist but ok. Grabbed the two trackables. Good multi, didn't take too long to solve. The hint is a little misleading, but it's not on private property. A beautiful riverside walk. Nearly found them all in Bright town now. Tftc.
This multi took us an hour but it was a lovely day for a ride. 2 trackables dropped and on their way. Good luck little ones!
Can’t see to figure this one out. Lots of logs near coordinates but no treasure to be found
Visiting Bright for the Mother’s Day weekend and had some time to quickly go and grab this multi early.
The waypoints certainly show some beautiful parts of this town.
I quickly did the maths and made the walk towards GZ.
GZ was flooded with Muggles and one in in particular decided to stay forever photographing a tree right within 5m.
So I had to bide my time nearby until they took off.
Quickly grabbed the cache and doing the business when some Muggles appeared. I had to hide myself whilst they walked past and extricated myself when the coast was clear.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
I visited 4 TB.

Today was day eight of our Beechworth and bright holiday (take two, post the very disappointing escape from Victoria Covid of 2020).
And now we are in Bright for a few days - and what better way to find our way around a new place than to let a couple of multi's show us around. We also grabbed a couple of trads along the way, just because.
This was the second one, and we walked around town to collect the various information we needed. Then, out to the GZ where the gps had me on the wrong side of the trail - eventually it twigged, and the cache was located and the log signed. The log is damp as the previous finder noted, but my pen worked just fine.
Thanks for the cache Mark9375, 4bait and 1k2ate

Yesterday, Rex and I had headed to Wandiligong to catch up with a former work colleague[^]
We spent the afternoon yesterday with Carolin and her family, then slept at the Snowy Creek Picnic Ground[^][|)] close to a cache that I had found in April 2015
Today we found 19 caches as we played tourist[^][^] and slowly made our way back to the van[^] since I had to be in Shepp in the morning for a Dr's appointment
We also completed an adventure lab in Myrtleford[^] and found a heap of cool caches too[^]
Came back into Bright for breakfast[^] and enjoyed exploring while doing this multi
Met a lovely couple and their dog on the walk to GZ rex and his new friend had fun swimming and splashing in the river before and after I found the cache[:X][^][:X]
Surprised a few people as I emerged from the bushes at GZ[?]

Good one for GeoKids, Geo adults didn’t really want to go bush bashing!
Note: Log book is wet. Couldn’t write in it - pen wasn’t working.

Loved going to find all the clues early on Easter Monday morning. Unfortunately the coordinates we ended up with led us to somewhere the cache was not obvious or needed some bush bashing. The maps app on my phone kept taking us to a nearby property, not the actual coordinates so then tried again by entering them into Google which I thought may be closer but still no joy. Will have to check the clues and maths again when GeoKids have enthusiasm to do it all again!
I love doing these multi’s that make you wander around and see the town. Best way to explore a new place.
Picked up the clues and worked the coordinates to a potential GZ
Early morning walk found no muggles around
Confused the hint for a couple of minutes before finally locating.
Beautiful walk.

After having a great night in Harrietville it was time to head home on the last day of our 10 day break hoping to collect a few labs along the way as well as other caches that popped up on the screen.
We weren't planning on doing too many caches around this area but this one took our fancy as a good way to have a look around the town.
As expected we did enjoy the tour and saw some sights that we probably would not have seen otherwise and it didn't seem to take long before we had a set of co-ords and we were off to gz where we encountered another part of Bright that we hadn't seen before.
There were a surprising amount of muggles around the area gz so it took us a couple of minutes to be able to grab the cache and add our name to the log.
Thanks guys for a fun cache.

Was a great multi cache stroll around town, note that there is no “C” coord, that stuffed us up a little.
GZ had us lost and confused the first time we went, gave up and used the hint, easy find.
GZ had us lost and confused the first time we went, gave up and used the hint, easy find.
We gathered the information in the rain and went back to the caravan to sort out the coordinates. I mucked them up a bit but finally got it all sorted. We went down the wrong track to GZ but eventually sorted out where we should be. Great spot for a cache. Btw GZ is a spot where lots of people seem to chuck their plastic bags containing their dogs emissions. Beware.
After exploring the Buckland Valley and Wandiligong we gravitated to Bright with plans to get something for dinner there. We had time to kill, so I started doing the two Multis in the centre of the town. This led us on a short tour around some of the major facilities of the town. At the last stop, a little park with a convenient picnic shelter the final coordinates were calculated and we headed off to GZ, where a box with a log was found. Another great Multi in the Ovens Valley.
A check here on behalf of the CO as we were in the area.
Cache and log in good condition. It does get wet here from rain and although some water gets in, the logbook is ok sealed in its ziplock bag.
Please remember to seal the zip lock bag.

A great walk around town. Thankyou for the history lesson. Found at GZ quite easily. Deserves a fav point from us.
Fun stroll around town with family. Easy find at GZ. Left TB in cache as we haven’t been caching much in recent times. TFTC!
After starting this one a few months ago, we returned to finish it off. Today was a beautiful day to enjoy the sights. GZ was a very popular place today. Log book is wet but we were able to sign it. TFTC
Great walk around town. Very busy and lots of muggles around. Dropped a tb off. Tftc
YAY my first multi-cache I live in Harrietville and I tried the multi-cache there but to confusing so I tried this one and I did it !!!!!!
Loved the treasure hunt. We had to take a break & come back after recalculating. Recommend taking pen & paper. Thanks for an awesome multi-cache!
Out with Snook and SowaMLE whilst the rest of the OSHFAM clan are engaged in other activities.
Yesterday in the night, we made our way around all the different waypoints gathering the information required to calculate GZ. One of the questions left us a little confused but we used the number we thought would work best. Came up with some plausible co-ords, checked them against the satellite map but they looked a little dodgy. Not to be deterred, we drove where the phone maps took us which turned out to be a dark place and certainly not an area you would place a cache. So we thought for sure we had either counted wrong somewhere or read the numbers wrong, or the most likely scenario - my terrible maths skills. Getting late now, we decided to head back and try again the next day.
Today I rechecked everything and all seemed to be correct. So we decided to see if there was a different approach, which there was. Still not convinced that we were in the right area, it was a welcome sight to find the cache. Co-ords spot on. Cache and log were in good condition.
Thank you for getting us out and about exploring different parts of bright that we haven’t explored yet even though we have been coming up here for more than 20 years. It was most enjoyable and interesting history.
It’s also always nice to find caches places by CO’s we have got to know and live in the same municipality.
Thank you for the adventure and cache here Mark9375, 4bait and 1k2ate

Found. Interesting walk around town. Ground a bit damp near cache. TFTC Darwould and Plus Elle from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Spending a week in Bright, and keen to check the sights - so what better approach than a multi. Starting in town and working my way out I counted, read, calculated, walked, visited a stone cairn for no apparent reason, grabbed a coffee and some cake, went west (found a different cache) and with some numbers that I presumed were going to be accurate despite some doubts I went for another walk. It is quite cool for my Queensland blood, but the walks were good and I do enjoy a solid amble.
ended up at a spot that exactly matched the hint - but was empty. And to be fair unlikely for a regular cache to survive in. But I was here, so I sat and pondered my situation. A previous log suggested I was on the wrong side of the pathway - and a little look in there (some 10m or so from my coords) and there she was, snug and safe. Phew. Not sure if my calculated coords were right or not now, but cache was found and signed so all good.
A lovely spot (I walked on and took a look around), a lovely town to check out, and a lovely walk around it. Cheers.
Thanks Mark9375, 4bait and 1k2ate for entertaining me at this location.

We are staying in Bright for a few days with the MX-5 Car Club... and this mornings activity was a drive up to Falls Creek... in light snow! The rest of the day was free for us to do as we wanted... and as the weather wasn't all that great, we stayed around Bright and I took some time to go *cache hunting*... and that meant *Exploring Bright* on foot. A pleasant stroll soon had all the required answers and then it was off for a bit more *exploring* to find teh cache at GZ.
Thanks **Mark9375, 4bait and 1k2ate** for putting this Multi together...

Finally! My first successful multicache! Coordiates perfect once I corrected my maths..And a stunning day for it. Left some swaps as anyone who finds a multi deserves a medal- lol. TFTC!
This was a fun multi, working through all the waypoints. It was lovely to see all these hidden gems of places in Bright, and at GZ, it was a quick find as the cache was quite exposed. Covered with some camo, and enjoyed the walk back to the car.
Thanks Mark9375,4bait and 1k2ate. Nice one to finish the day on.

Nice walking tour of bright! For confused future catchers: The hint didn't mean anything at all to me, and the final location does not require you to go onto or very close to private property, despite what my GPS claimed. The cache is clearly on public land, and easily accessible. TFTC.
Well this was certainly the cooks tour of bright!
I never usually have this long to do a multi around town as usually up in the hills. Tonight had half an hour to kill while pizza cooked, and boy did I push that time limit. I enjoyed the locations however the first bit of counting took a bit longer than expected.
I reached the final location in the dark, which was a beautiful walk I hadn't been to before. However where problem set in, was searching the edge of someones property in the dark. I almost gave up, however tried one more spot, it looked promising, and boom, there was the cache!
Note to future finders. To avoid trespassing. Just before the structure, the log in the hint is on your left. It's behind that.
A fave from me, cheers.

After a long day riding from Bright to Wandi and back, we decided to attempt this cache. Found all the waypoints pretty easily and calculated the end location. At the end location, we could not find the cache. The clue did not help either as it looked like our final location was in someone's private property. We looked only near the walking track and did not venture over to the private property.
After a while, we gave up.

Got all the clues and got the final coordinates but ran out of time today. Can’t get there. Darn. Tftc
Our second day of geocaching in the Northeast and this was our second find for the day. Normally we are hopeless at Multis but this time we didn't make any mistakes and didn't have an argument even more surprisingly we found the Cache at the final location. Thanks for the interesting exercise.
After having no luck yesterday returned today and almost gave up again but I noticed another place that was 16Mtrs SE of my calculated coordinates and it held the cache so was able to SL and returned. Thanks for showing me around Bright, worth a fav point.
Found today at 1030
Replaced the cache for the owner as it had been muggled.
People everywhere in town due to the Autumn Festival but was still a lovely stroll.

Searched and searched but could not find. I would hazard a guess at this one being gone.
No luck for me either. Bit of a mess around gz, so not sure if I had the right hint. Tried a few versions on the perimeter of the house estate but with no luck.
After fixing my maths for the coordinates then going with clue rather the coords as they were taking me into what seemed the right spot behind the log ... especially from the activity messages but still no luck for me... maybe just too new to the game as yet
