We were camping for a few nights in Howqua Valley, and we noticed that this cache was a short walk from our campsite. After a leisurely breakfast and general laze around the campsite, we popped the leads on the three geodogs, Teeny Treek, Mini Michi and Gypsy Girl and wandered along to this cache. As it was pretty warm, we kept an eye out for wriggly sticks, but we didn't see any sign of them on our travels. We approached GZ, and the GPS was bouncing around like a golf ball in a concrete tank, but after a good ten minutes of looking and expanding our search zone, we came up with the goods. The cache is in excellent condition.Thank you, grayboy33, for this Traditional cache.
After finding the Symes track cache I though I should have a look for this cache. The GPS was not at its best behaviour today but a bit of search back and forth led to the discovery. Had stay for the past 4 days at this camp ground. Even had a fantastic thunderstorm. Thanks for placing this cache.
Found this afternoon with little princess eggie, on a weekend at howqua with babbish's family. Eggie's second find, but first with swappables, so that was super fun. Near one of our favourite camping sites.Tftc.

With a forecast of strong wind and more rain later in the day, we set out for a morning of caching to the south of Mansfield. We noticed wheel marks and the remains of a campfire here, now we know it was the previous finders!
Thanks to grayboy33 for adding this cache to the gameboard.

On a Geocaching weekend with day1976 and my little Jimny. We camped here last night and again tonight, and after having a fun day of 4wding and Geocaching, we stopped at this one to finally find it, after driving past a few times already.
Found this cache on yet another adventure with Ilukaperi. Driving her little Suzuki Jimny over mountains and through rivers, it was a wonderfully adventurous day.
Having made our way up to camp at Running Creek last night, we got up early this morning with plans for a big loop. Off to the old slate mine on Mitchells track, then descending down and down Howqua Hills Track to the Howqua river. Following the tracks through the camping areas to Sheep yard Flat and beyond, before heading north the Merijig, then across to Goughs Bay, before heading back to camp.
Last cache for the day, and wonderful that the cache is right near where we are camping for the night. Lovely spot to pitch a tent, and grab a cache. Cache found no worries. TFTC!

A nice quick find after our first family camping trip on the Howqua. Such a beautiful river. TFTC
What a magical campground. Quick find as we swam in the river. Thanks for the cache.
On arrival at the car park, the fam observed the loop signs - Geowife said we were only doing loop 1... I laughed. Cache was quickly found here and we were on our way...
replaced cache with one of equal quality as the old cache GZ completely destroyed by a lage fallen tree
While staying at Fry's Hut for a few days, my son took me for a drive and we found this cache. The campsite looks lovely, but very populated at this busy time. tftc.
With holidays planned to freshen the mind before the Christmas rush, the family decided to camp out in the high country. We had never been in the Howqua region before and loved our time there camping along the river.
The geo family enjoyed a walk along the river to find a couple of caches. We met a couple along the way and had a nice chat to them. This cache was not easy to find. With four of us looking all over the place and the co-ords jumping a little we were about to give up before we found it about 6 meters away tucked away.
**Thanks to grayboy33 for hiding this cache for us to find and enjoy**

Cache was sitting on the ground gps saying we were still 6m from GZ. Placed at the bottom of a nearby tree. Lid cracked so placed upside down for better protection. Tftc
TFTC! This cache was the first for us to start off our hike into the Howqua area! Nice easy find to start our mission, cache was in good condition, we signed the log and kept on trekking!
Young love was escaping from the over crowded labour day weekend camping area below.
The bananas tried to engage the jovial, around 16 year olds in conversation.
But they clearly had other things on their mind as they passed by on our return trip.
They were about to experience one of the memorable moments of their lives.......
That
Young love.

Many things were discussed on our recent 6k walk one of them was if an FTF was an FTF it still had LTF on the online log I really should get out more I had know idea what was below the cache in the campsite and remarked to B1 at my surprise at the vehicle types camped down there in what was basically the Bourke st mall. Great series looking forward to a few more.
{FTF} @ 12:42pm
Of course a FTF is a FTF, even if it does have LTF in the log [:p]
Ping goes my phone. Ooh, new caches to find I was still hobbling around after injuring my knee on Valentines Day, and I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it to these caches, but manzie and I decided the only way to find out was to get out to Howqua and have a looksee. This cache was not too far away from the car, and I found I was able to slowly make my way to the cache for a quick find. But it was to be the next cache that was a little more interesting! TFTC
