Found with Geo Maggie. Walked in from the main road. Lovely walk on a very frosty morning.Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
This geocache is in desperate need of attention. The log is wet. Would not have been able to sign but we did manage to leave our mark with our stamp. Had I not walked in from the road I would have replaced it for you. But it’s a long walk to do twice on a frosty morning. Thanks for the cache.
It’s great to see they are looking after old cemeteries. Bit of drama here my companion got dog for a little while but helpful passers-by helped her out. Travelling with Angus 88
Couldn’t sign as it’s far to wet, have sent you a photo instead. Beautiful spot. Loving the history here.
Quick find here. Interesting walk through a cow field to get here! Nice day out exploring new areas with my muggle friend.
A 4x4 Trip with my good mates Toolbox Tas and Swampy (aptly called our 'Fluid Tour' because we made it mostly up as we went along) brought us to this cache.
I think I forgot to actually look at the GPS and went right past it. Luckily Swampy was there to find it. Really Interesting place! Best part was I was in the middle of the 4x4 group and didnt open or close a single gate.
Thanks for the cache Hilberts

Found on the Fluid February Tour of Tasmania by ToolboxTas, red tag, Swampy and muggle Steve.
This cache was found quickly even though red tag had circled it and didn't look before moving on.

A very quick find but disappointing that the log is soaked and falling apart.

We are out and about exploring in the North East of Tasmania again today after staying in St Helens for the last two days. So much to see and do we are spoilt for choice. Of course our other aim for the day is to collect as many geocaches along the way as practical. Today we will reach an exciting milestone our 11000 cache and we are delighted to be finding it in Tassie.
This was our fourth cache of the day Wow what a cemetery. It was sort of in a paddock up a hill near the edge of the bush. Very unique. Also very peaceful and tranquil a perfect resting place really. Our Gps played up and had us circling amongst the different trees so we went with caching instinct instead . The log is quite damp. While here we had a very friendly encounter with a Scarlet Robin which kept flying very close to us and landed close by appearing quite happy to be photographed. This cache gets a favourite from us for the lovely experience. TFTC

nice easy find in a quiet spot out of the way. Log was signable but only just. Very damp. needs some waterproof paper but we didn't bring any with us. lots of treasure and we added a bit more
Visiting from Victoria and enjoying the beauty of Tassie...and this location is certainly of great interest as we follow the Tin Dragon Trail. Thanks for bringing me here TFTC
#857, 2020-11-04 at 15:14, TFTC. After 2 dnfs today this was a relief. Easy find.
12/17 for today. I parked down the bottom of the hill and walked up as there was no chances I was going to take my car up in that slush. The photo really doesn’t do it justice.
Today we drove from George Town to St. Hellens. On this trip we stopped to look for this cache. We were able to find the cache immediately. Thanks from Switzerland.
This is such a lovely well looked after cemetery. Even took the opportunity to have a cuppa!
Thanks for the cache Hilberts.

Today, I was out mountain biking Atlas trail when we stopped off at Weldborough for lunch. I mentioned to my muggle friends that I needed to grab a geocache for the day, so rode off to this little cemetery. I initially had some trouble locating the right entrance to the private road and cemetery, but managed to find it in the end, with it well signposted from the highway. It would be great if the entrance/access could be added as a waypoint, so for reference, it is located at S 41° 11.767' E 147° 54.483'.
I rode the rest of the 500 m private road to the cemetery, and it was a little piece of interesting history. I'd never heard about the crotch of a tree, but at least the cache didn't take long to find due to its accurate coordinates. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Hilberts for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
It was great to have found a cache for leap day today in the end!

Lil Rafa, the GeoGSP and I were visiting the north of the state for a couple of days. After staying overnight at Weldborough we searched for some caches as we made our way home via Mt Paris Dame, Little Blue Lake and Sloopy's Spa Bath.
As we were leaving Weldborough we went and searched for this cache. A nice quick find at GZ with some cows watching us....

As we were leaving Weldborough we went and searched for this cache. This has such a lovely outlook. There are a lot of geocaches in cemetery's around Tasmania, but this one has one of the best aspects. It was a nice quick find at GZ.

Walked in from the road, as we needed a good rest for the dogs from travelling. Such a beautiful quiet place to sit a while. Tftc
Wow - a wonderful part of Australian history.

With a couple of weeks annual leave, we have decided to bring ourselves down to Tassie for a break. Why Tassie? We have visited once before and loved it, but didn't have sufficient time to see much, and 2nd, Tassie was the only state/territory that we had not cached in, and 3rd, the weather is cooler than we have been experiencing in Victoria.
Day 8. Heading west towards home today (well, the Spirit of Tasmania in Devonport).
TFTC, SL and put snuggly back in place

We actually spotted this one very quickly but Mrs Beetle's muggle brother was having his first attempt at using a GPS here so we just stood by and with much amusement watched him going round and round in circles.
Eventually he found the container and the coordinates were spot on.
Great location but the second gate was a challenge to open.
Thanks.

Thoroughly enjoying our week of Tasmanian geocaching adventures. This is a lovely find in a great location. TFTF.
Well this was an interesting drive in and then we met 2 workers putting a fence up. Luckily they were working further up the hill and didn’t seem to take any notice of us!

I'm hanging around the Derby area for a few days to find me some caches
Alas the plan has been derailed by the weather
Unable to head for a couple of nearby caches,
I took the low road today to chase some possible drive-bys
This one is almost a drive-by,
but in this mornings pouring rain,
I still got soaked as I had to hop in and out of the geomobile to negotiate the gates
That second gate is a real bugger !!
A type of latch I've never encountered before
(Maybe this should be a puzzle cache,
as each gate is different.) !!
A bit wetter, I went for a wander around the stones,
and got wetter still
I did take note of the Chinese connection.
Good bit of history there [^]
And down the back,
a good cache find

Hi there Hilberts.
We found your cache **"Weldborough Cemetery"** at 11:41:00 AM today. (This makes our grand total 18879).
We are camped at Cosy Corner for a while, to use this as our base for some caching forays around the area. Penny has been drawing a line on the map to show every road we have traveled - and today she wanted to join up St Helens with Branxholm. Geocaches, cemeteries, dams, rain forests, pubs and cheese factories made for an interesting day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our drive & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes. Our cache count was 9 caches today, with 0 DNF's.
Thanks for placing the cache here. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels. Thanks also for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. It made us feel really good to find this "special" cache here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Poor cache ended up some distance away. As I extracted it, I felt something furry on my fingers. Luckily it was only a huge family of caterpillars and not what I thought it was. Quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache.

On a camping holiday and took a detour down this way just to find a few caches. So glad we did. What an awesome hidden place we'd never see otherwise. Found with Lekker_Ding. Thanks
Always a great spot to visit. So much local history hidden away around here.

Out exploring the northeast today and picking off some of the new caches that have popped up since I was last out this way.
Quick find in a quiet cemetery, the cache was exposed, but I don’t think the local residents would care too much.

We love these old historic cemeteries hidden away on private property. Made our way through a couple of closed gates, remembering to close them behind us, and walked into the Cemetery. SL at 11.17am Left: a Chinese coin #4999 Took photos of the altar and one of the graves and continued on our way along the Hwy towards Launceston. TFTC Hilberts
After having lunch at the Weldborough pub which was surprisingly good we headed up the hills and fields to get near ground zero, after that it was a bit of a search since our GPS's were taking us all over the place.
When the cache was found we added our names to the logbook.
Thanks for the cache.

We celebrated out 3000th fond with lunch at the Weldborough Pub. It took ages to get served but the food was worth it as we polished off our delicious meals happily in the garden. Feeling content, it was time to move on and search for this cache. For a brief moment we felt unsure about continuing when we saw the private property sign at the gate (but it was a VERY brief moment )
We drove up through a herd of cows, some running away, some heading directly for us. I never knew but Mrs SSR is not a fan of cows so she COWered in the car while we all got out and searched.
As usual we had a bit of a look around the site and connected various family members together by reading the gravestones. It took us a few attempts to find the cache as the GPS was again erratic and sent us in all directions. Thanks Hilberts for another interesting cache location

Enjoy visiting historical old cemeteries and gathering a few stories from the stones. A nice easy find.. thanks..!!
Hi Hilberts
Having found eleven other caches today, some of which were yours, it was time to head back to St Helens, tidy up and go out for dinner.
This cache was on the way, so a slight detour and a short walk had me at GZ making a very quick find.
Sainted the cache at 1528hrs.
Having visited this cemetery before, I was disappointed in the way some of the Chinese memorials are deteriorating. The views here are good.
TFTC and cheers

On the first day of September we went to Storeys Creek to look for some new caches. Two of the caches were at now abandoned mines and we really enjoyed our visits. That prompted us to head off today to three other caches located at mines, this time in the Blue Tiers area. It has been many years since we visited this part of the North East, in fact five years. So we were interested to return. We also looked for some other caches as we drove in and out of the North East area of the state. This was one of the non-mine caches that we looked for today.
Before we headed off today, we thought we knew exactly where to go to look for this cache. We had visited a cemetery in the North East which had a Chinese altar and we assumed that we were returning to the same area. However, we could not make sense of the comment regarding "private property" as access to the area we knew was straightforward and certainly not through private land.
Hence we were really surprised when our GPS indicated that we should turn off in the "metropolis" of Weldborough itself. There was a sign pointing the way to the Weldborough Cemetery with the track going through private property (the sign stated "Private Property - Enter at your own risk"). The gates were open but there was certainly "piles" of evidence that cows had been grazing in the paddocks very recently. Most of the dollops of cow poo were still quite wet. After going through another gate we approached the Weldborough Cemetery. Without the sign on the Tasman Highway, most people would not be aware of the existence of this rather large (for a rural area) cemetery on a lovely, eastern facing rise with many substantial trees. We were surprised to see headstones ranging over an extended period. We saw one from the late 1800s and one from the 21st century. We saw the Chinese altar and although it was somewhat similar to the one we had seen elsewhere, there were a few significant differences.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find but Mrs y'stassie (the shorter member of the team) had to get a fallen piece of a limb to extract the container as it was just out of each reach. The cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Hilberts for the cache and for bringing us to another very interesting location - we would not have known about it but for the cache. Then as we headed back towards Scottsdale we came across the cemetery that we thought we were going to - next to the Moorina Golf Club.

Beautiful spot, big boggy did loose traction, maybe walk in winter if not 4x4
Beautiful, serine place to rest! Stopped at the gate at the bottom on the hill, climbed the fence and walked to the top. Never thought I needed to be stealthy here but quite a few eyes were watching my every move! Found and signed the log anyway. TFTC
This one was a quick find in a very peaceful location. Cache and contents are all good. TFTC Hilberts...cheers ST.
Driven past the sign to the cemetery but I never had a reason to go in before, thanks for letting me visit
What a beautiful peaceful cemetery! Our 2nd find for the day. Thanks for bringing us here. Spent some time wandering around the graves.
On a cache maintenance run we stopped in here to find this cache.
Once the GPS settled down and we identified the correct tree we made a quick find.
As the log sheet was blank we will claim [*FTF*] @ 09.15 hrs.
Many thanks Hilberts for bringing us to this location and for the cache as we never been here before.
