Logs
Easy enough when you give up on the GPS and rely on instinct, room to leave a gift also
Nice east find. Log sheet is quite full but still room (in the middle) for some more 2024 finders. Tftc
Out and about today to collect some caches for some challenges and for a special challenge I have set for myself. I jumped on the bike and saw a little trail so I set off on a couple more of these Stargate caches. I had just four caches in my sights for this ride today. I have completed a few of these and there will be still a couple more to do before I finish I parked up and wondered around. This was an easy find today. I signed the log and replaced the cache as found, thanks for the hide. It was then onto the next cache.
Found on a walk down the cycle path a few weeks ago but forgot to log it. TFTC
Heading out for an evening stroll we decided to head down the bike path to pick up this cache. Arrived at the GZ and after a short search we had the cache in hand and the log signed. TNLNSL TFTC .
Djmccullagh I found your cache Stargate SG1 - Ra on 13/12/2022, 1:00 pm. This is my find 4569 and find # 4 today. No problems locating this one. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
2286 - I found this one easily at 2.24pm in the obvious location and in a great hiding spot. All was well with this one, except for a bit of dried mud on the outside of the container. Thanks for the cache Djmccullagh, I will be back to do some more of the series soon.
Out and about on our deadly treadlies doing a 2 day cycle to Redcliffe and return from Mt G. We found that Ra was like Jacob and wanted to hide. Didn't help that the GPS would not come below 6 m, no matter where I walked. Damn GPSs. We eventually found him and did the signing duties. TFTC.
A nice quick find, although was a little cautious retrieving the container.
Thanks!!

After a morning of yakking out picking up a few caches and enjoying being outside.
I saw an obvious hiding spot with evidence of some common geocaching camo at one end. The other end was far from GZ but also empty. Alas, I was not able to log a find. Perhaps I have the wrong idea and looked in the wrong place - I’ll come back another day to redeem myself.
After a lovely morning spent out on water
attending the 4 Mile Creek Bird watching Event, E_Smiley and myself decided to find a few land based caches before we went our separate ways.
Decided to park the car at the train station and take a nice long walk to find this one which was quick once at GZ.

Didn't take long to find.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Djmccullagh. Enjoyed the long walk with Snickerallan.

After a lovely downhill slope from the previous cache, we rolled to a stop without even having peddled, close to GZ. I went to the wrong end of the item in question, while DisSister chose the correct end to search and came up with the goods. Loads of mosquitoes to keep us company!

Aiming to start the New Year with a nice round 4000 finds, I decided to pull the bike out and head out with La Kedi to collect all the caches along this bikeway. A nice variety of hides, some tricky, some straightforward and an enjoyable morning altogether. Quickly spotted in the second place I looked. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC Southpaws88
Feeling on a roll with our fourth find as we biked the track to Kippa Ring today
Thanks for the series Southpaws88

What a beaut outing on a slightly cooler morning, ‘tho it warmed up by the time we returned to base Pedalled around 30 kliks with Beardman75 from Petrie station to Kippa-Ring and back. The trip east was punctuated by Stargates and a few side bites. Pretty sure I was running on Red Bull on the much quicker trip back Logged 21 finds, 6 + 1 bonus DNF Hope to be back on the bike to clean up the map

Ms Maddy and I met up at Petrie Station for a ride to Kippa Ring and some caching along the way. It was overcast and cool when we started at 8am but quite sunny and warm by the time we arrived back at Petrie Station around 1pm. We found 21 caches and unfortunately DNF'd 6 caches but it was a fun morning out and the muffin at the turnaround point was well earned. Thanks for the cache
Out on foot on a mission to get my 300th cache, hot day but a cool breeze at my back helped TFTC
Stopping off and putting the bike into the shade, it was getting pretty hot today, so I started my search at one end and found it at the other. TFTC
Find #2211 at 18:02.
Found in the second place I looked, the second time I looked there.
As I emerged, I noticed a dogwalking muggle out on the path wondering what on earth I was up to. A friendly "Hi!" and I was on my way, no doubt leaving both dog and muggle perplexed. [:o)]
Thanks for the cache, Djmccullagh.

At GZ, we could see a beautiful paper bark forest through the fence. It looks like it would be a lovely forest to explore. A great spot along this Trail to hide the geocache. Thanks for another one in this lovely series.

Hidden Creatures Find #92 - Today is the last day to get the World Turtle, so I am hitting the Petrie to Mango Hill bikeway to finish off the Hidden Creatures event. A quick and easy find. TFTC
My second find along this stretch of the bikeway and my last for the day. No trouble retrieving it and I soon had my name in the log and the cache replaced. Will be back another day to pick up some more of the series.
23/6/18 5:07 pm Find #1828
So after the last cache this time I did turn around to make my journey back to the car. I knew I wouldn't have much daylight left and didn't really want to hang around here too long on my own after dark.
Made it back finally to this cache, which I had skipped on the way past earlier due to a rush of muggles going by at the same time. A wander over to GZ and short look in the obvious spots rewarded me with my last cache of the day. And it looks like I will still get back to the car before I lose light.
Thanks for the cache Djmccullagh.

3rd find today in this series and at gz i was surprised at the nice little pond with lillies over the fence. after a busy day at work was a perfect way to unwind. tftc
We are parked up at Lawnton Showgrounds while we arrange to have a new caravan built, today we took our bikes for a ride along the bike path from Petrie - it's great to have a nice quite area to cycle.
We found all but one of the caches we visited and had a lot of fun.
thanks for a wonderful afternoon of geocaching.

Out for a walk on a beautiful May day. Ticking off a few finds to mark a milestone birthday.
Found it but had difficulty retrieving it. Everytime I touched it, it moved further away. I perservered and eventually managed to coax it out. We did a bit of field maintenance to make retrieval a bit easier for future finders. TFTC

Out riding with hubby from Kipparing to Petrie. Made it all the way with 22 finds, a handful of dnfs and one rather spectacular fall from my bike.
Nice quick find, while the thunder was starting overhead, time to get a move on for the last few caches.

We planned to do part of the SG series today ... weather permitting. It had been forecast for rain today and lots of it. Fortunately for us it was a sun shiny day with not a threat in the sky. We started at Petrie and got about half way on the bikes before we decided that was enough for the day. We were really impressed with the cycle way

Nice bike ride from Kippa-Ring to Petrie with Dick (dickbev) today to try to master the Stargate series. This was another successful find. TFTC Djmccullagh.
Roger of rbutto and I are making headway along the bike trail picking up caches on the way. TFTC Djmccullagh
Nice walk to jete and nice cool hide spot and got signed and returned same place TFTC
I have had the caches in this area on my To Do list for some time but they are too far way from home to just duck out and find a few so I have not done any of them until today.
I didn't pick a good day for strolling along concrete paths as it was a scorcher and i had started at 11am.
I had parked at Kallangur Station and caught a train to Mango Hill and worked my way back to Kallangur and then caught another train to Petrie and then walked back to Kallangur. The heat was getting to me by the time I finished.
Luckily,I had looked ahead and decided to leave the path early and avoid the random fence. The coordinates took me right to the cache.

Cautious look into hidey hole before retrieving, expected to see a guardian sitting on top.

Out for my daily cache and slowly ticking these stargate ones off On approach I had a fair idea of where to go and of course you can only go so far. Quick find and what a good hidey hole TFTC
Found it. Thanks for the cache. Loved the use of the environment in hiding the cache.
By this stage we should have remembered sunscreen! Found easy by Computer Cat TFTC
Took a bike ride from Kippa Ring to Petrie, grabbing caches as I went. There were a few DNFs and a few I decided to leave to another time as they were not immediately obvious and the weather looked like it could turn bad. Got on the train in Petrie just as some decent rain hit! TFTCs Djmccullagh. I'll be back to grab the rest.
I was having a phat time riding up the path this morning for the first time. Great ride and plenty of room to overtake the slower riders (I think about 10 people passed me). That didn't stop me cussing under my breath at them.
As I saw GZ I was excited that whomever had built the fence was a cacher and knew this location would be needed someday. tftc

It was such a beautiful Sunday - perfect weather for Geocaching - so we headed out to find as many of this trail as we could. This was a nice quick find near a rather pretty pond. TNLNSL TFTC
