Over in Tauranga for the day walking and geocaching. I completed two of this series a couple of months ago so today is the day for the other two and the bonus. Were not here at night so even though these are night caches, we are happily completing them during the day. Great trail,TFTC
Am staying in the area for the week and NZIceman has come down for a few days too. Armed with our torches we hit the trail. This was lucky last for us out of the trails. Very nice large reflectors - easy to follow and we soon had the cache in hand. Unfortunately the log paper is too wet to sign and I didn't have any spare...I do have photo if needed. Thanks for the fun!
Over the hill with Kiwi Does on another caching mission knocking off some of the longer ones around and about tga.. Saw these night caches and knew these were right up our alley! Parked at the start point, torches in hand and reflectors in site.. success, cache in hand, now to find our way back to the car for #2. This is going to be a long night. TFTC!!
Over the Hill with the team ABCDF4 & KGDNot been in this area before great wee parkVery coolThanks
Over the Hill again today. These one were first on our listNot been here beforeAwesome walk around the parkThanks to the CO for amazing seriesAlso very well kept
Over with ABCDF4 and eyespyben. These caches were the focus for the day. Enjoyed the walk around walk around the park following well located signs. Not been in the area so thought highly of the park.No problems collecting this one. Soon had it signed. Thank you for the placement.
While in Tauranga with Reschedule. we saw these night caches so thought it would be rude not to knock a couple off. Really enjoy this style, although not looking forward to walking back up to the car. TFTC
Last cache to be found in Tauranga as we are driving home today. Loved your adventure trails, and hides TNZPro
Last one in the series. Loved the cache holder, my personal favourite.Again a well constructed trail, one of the best. Thanks again tnxpro for the adventure No time to collect the bonus, number's noted, so will look at collecting when next back in town. With littleblackbird1 and rebel98, jumping ditches and having fun.
Between 28 and 31st January we will be spending some time in Tauranga and hope to attempt this Wherigo If another cacher wants to join us in finding this one, please contact via message service or email so we can arrange to meet at GZ.
I found this cache along with SJCgeo a group of boys who spent some of their camp week experiencing geocaching for the first time. I had planned to do this cache and others last year but those plans were curtailed by atrocious weather. The boys really enjoyed the novelty of night caching. A big thanks to the CO for their advice in preparing for our trip. We had hoped to do some of the other night caches and were looking for the start of the red trail when a down pour intervened. Perhaps I'll get another chance to do the others next year.
Oops.. just realised we hadn't logged this, so this is our catch-up log. In Tauranga for a funeral and came out on one of the nights we weren't doing a family thing. This was our 2nd night cache ever so we borrowed some good torches and out we came to do a few of these around the park. Had a good time following the trail and enjoyed the cute container at the end. We'll have to come back sometime in the daytime and enjoy this park again! TFTC
We were only going to do one trail but had such a fun time that we decided to just kept going!
This was probably one of the easiest that we have found so far but honestly it’s just as much fun as the rest

This was the last of the three night trails we attempted tonight.
As with the other's it was easy to follow.
It's a little wet and sloshy with all the rain we've had lately.
Again I couldn't see a clue for the bonus cache, but i may have been distracted by the very large slug thats made itself at home in the outer container.
Thanks for the cool trail

Thanks for resetting this one. We couldn’t find it before so nice to come back for an easy find.
Maintenance run done. A few reflectors added and replaced. Cache replaced at new final location. Look for the double reflectors pointing the way.
Looked for a long time and then ran into fellow geocachers and they gave us a hint found string but no geocache so I think it is gone
Great cache! Cool container! But... A lot of spider webs and branches in your face! Haha would not do the walk at night though... Really creepy.
It was good to come back & finish this series off. Buzzybb got a fright from the cache. Tftc
Good to be back finishing this lot off, a nice trip out with kimbathelion. The log is a little wet.
Enjoyed following this although lost the trail at a t intersection. Back tracked and tried again, this time just trying the alternatives and eventually found the next marker.
Thanks to a great description was able to locate cache, although ended up returning after realising I forgot the code!

I took Ms M out on a pre daylight saving night caching expedition. As it was, any night would have done as the rugby needed to be watched first.
This was our first trail. Love the markers. Much better than the little prisms that we used for our first night trail.

We have been meaning to do the night trails for a long time now, and this weekend we came up with a plan. We’re not Owls, but are early morning Larks. So, if one of us woke up early, we were going to drive out to Welcome Bay well before dawn. Our plan worked a treat.... first on our hit list was the Yellow trail. Then the Silver, and by then we were really getting into the swing of things. So much so, that we spied a nearby Red tag just as we were nearing completion of the Silver; which saved us a little walking.
Back to the car we went, and by this time it was nearing day-break and the sky was getting lighter. But luckily it was overcast and the light was still dim, so we decided to quickly continue with the Green Trail.
We remembered to collect all the code numbers collected along the way, and the Bonus cache was a straight forward find after the 4 night trails.
We had a lovely time – misty rain combined with darkness meant we had the trails all to ourselves, and just near the end of the last trail we encountered a couple and their dog – the only muggles we came across during the course of our (very) early morning adventure. Things couldn’t have worked out better. We highly recommend the trails, well set up, and a lot of fun. Thank you TNXPro.

First night trail done. Loving these caches so far. Tftc. Think ill be dishing out an FP or 2. TFTC
Our first night cache and we were pretty excited! We've been to various parts of this park a few times but pretty hard to recognise in the dark. A quick dart off the path and not too hard to find. Cute wee fella, earnt the fav point
This is the best multi ever! Such a beautiful walk in a lovely park. Thank you so much for the effort that you’ve put into this. Awesome family outing, we hooked in another family into geocaching because of your hides
Another great hide. The green trail was probably the trickiest to follow in the daylight.
Got to share the cache hunting experience with friends visiting from Christchurch

Found during our North Island Road trip. We enjoy doing night caches, we dound this series and thought we would give them a go so we started off and thought we would see how many we could get done. This was the 2nd one.
This was our first night cache in quite some time, and as we weren't too sure what we were looking for at first, we probably missed the first couple of arrows...but we did eventually find one and we followed the trail until we found the cache. We loved the way it was hidden! TFTC
Due to Covid19, and to encourage people to "stay the fuck at home" to prevent spreading the virus, I am joining others in temporarily disabling my caches.

Was staying at an Airbnb in Otumoteai....very keen to do these night caches.....had heard great things about them!
Willbuild mentioned he also needed to do them...so we met up and cached together all day with the plan beeing to do these in the evening.
All went well....lovely clear arrows and wide paths.
Will def be back with family one day.
This was my favourite final Cache container....☆
Many thanks

After grabbing the red cache we were quickly on the trail of this one and found GZ soon after. It took a little while to find the cache mainly because we were looking at the wrong elevation for most of the time. After reading a little more we had a look in another place and there we found the cleverly camoed cache. All good here, TFTC.

These caches were great fun. Loved this one not only for the colour but for another reason also. Well thought out and executed. Must bring the grandkids back one day to enjoy the fun. Another one well worth a favourite point. TFTC

An after dinner question of "are there any night caches in Tauranga?' was all it took to entice us out the door with our guest from Denmark. We hadn't checked if there was any specific order to follow before heading out so we attempted this one first. The trail was easy to follow despite it being not completely dark and the final was located after a reasonably quick search TFTC.
I'm staying at Casa Rosmar for a few days,. and after a relatively bleak day of caching, I had the clever idea of asking if there was any nightcaches in the area..
Well.. there were these 3 + a bonus.. So off to Welcome Bay after dinner.
This one was the first we went for.. we did smaybe start a little early, but that didn't prove to be a problem.. well.. a little down the path we _did_ loose the track, but then we found a traf as a bonux-bonus..
Bakvk on trackm it was a quick 'run' for the cache. Nice little thing
Found at 20:20 - #8609 - on a 5 week trip in New Zealand - with rosmar

It was middle of the day, but we thought we'd give it a shot, and with no problems. Followed the trail to the final where we followed the hint. We searched everywhere according to the hint, but to no avail. We'd given up when we thought, oh lets ignore the hint. And there it was. Phew!!
New final reflectors in a slightly different location. Description and hint updated. Cache still in same place.
Out today with my Nan, (Mc Jandals), who is showing me everything about geocaching. She is doing a challenge cache. We followed the correct arrows to find this which gave me a fright. This was a lot of fun. Thank You for placing this here.
Hi there TNXPRO, out and about today trying to qualify for show me the ropes challenge, so have been teaching my grandaughter (McBella) all about geocaching. She was excited to find this, she got the same type of fright I did, LOL, all good here and nice and dry, cheers.
Really enjoyed this night trail. Markers easily found on a great track.
Thanks for the placement

Nice find on a short trip away - we enjoyed the drive around.

Headed to Tauranga for a long weekend of caching with Merlot58 and Jag50. A lovely walk along the path under the cover of darkness in the freezing cold. A nice discovery at the end of the trail, deserved a favourite.
Teamed up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 to form team JAM. By now it was getting really dark and so our torches were really needed. Got to GZ for this one and MrJag50 decided to search where he interpreted we should rather than where the co-ords and marks showed. He was right. This little darling was a popular choice for a Favorite point
I enjoy a good night cache and these ones were great to do as they were well marked and took us on a nice walk through Johnson Reserve. This was the last of the four and soon found ourselves at the end of the trail. I loved the final cache, we easily removed the worm and signed the log. Now it's off to the bonus before heading back for a well deserved drink
A great adventure after dark, three friends and a large dog...... followed the trail from the ridge, and finally, a really helpful clue and terrific camo, we found it! Brilliant. This is a great trail for all, and thanx to TNX for all the planning and work gone into these trails.
What a wonderful walk in the park for three senior citizens and the dog after dark. Thoroughly enjoyed your wonderful mystery and rewarded with finding the puzzle thank you so much TMX. TFTC
We found the bonus cache by mistake some time ago, so this has been our first opportunity to do the rest of the trail properly. Started in the dusk, but it was definitely better by torchlight. Weather a bit dicey but the trail was begging us to do it, so crossed our fingers and off we went. Nice hide. Fav point from us.
This was a really cool cache, very clever and blends in really well. We tackled the all the night trails kept us out till 2am. The hint had us in the right spot and a quick search and we had the cache. We did bump into a man who lost his dog once back on the track, who knows what he thought we were up to.
This was my favourite of the series... great track and a few more street lights towards the end of the trail... and a very cool cache!
Ended up being a great evening for a walk. Thought the weather wasn't going to play the game but ended up nice. Quick easy find, TFTC
A nice evening for a maintenance run (walk) with Max.
I had a report that this was missing. After a quick look, it appears the cache tried to make a escape, but it was found on the ground below its tether. Have tied it up again, but will need to replace its string soon. Dont pull on it.

Tonight I decided to go for a couple of the night caches. Followed the well placed signs and the cache was soon in hand. All in order. TFTC
On several previous trips to Tauranga we have followed the colour trails through this area. On the last occasion we followed the Green lights so we could locate the hide for this and the Bonus cache for future finding. So tonight when we arrived in town very late it was a simple matter to park nearby and make our way to the known final location. Our puzzle streak continues. Thanks, we have enjoyed these night trails, and now know this patch of Tauranga somewhat better.
Heading over the BOP this evening with Mr McC for an evenings caching before the event in the morning. So this was going to be a long evening and lots of fun. Hopefully the rain would hold off for most of the time (although I didn't hold out too much hope for that) but the caches would be in good order (was sure that that would be the case). All caches signed "MCCD" or a variation of as we got more tired as the evening progressed.
Started at the most northerly point and worked our way back towards Tauranga. A quick grab even though had previousley located the cache "but apparently that didn't count!!!" so walked straight to the final without following the trail to sign the book. Now time to head home
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Out with Cats&Dragons on a late night - early morning cache run. Logs were signed MCCD but may have varied a bit as tiredness settled in. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit
Been on this trail before with the grand kids but alone today - needed some caches to get a pirate treasure. Got to the popular spot and hunted and tried to act like a hobbit - Hunted more and was thinking up great inventions the CO could have created. Standing back and phoning a friend suddenly realised I was staring at it. Kids would have loved this one - may have to bring them back especially now I know where to go. TFTC
I did this cache trail with grandie and daughter who is very close to having no 2 grandie ...I was cautiously hoping that it would not interfere with my caching ...grandie really loved the trail and was greatly excited when he found each indicator ....he asked how did they get them up there?....I explained that Mr TNXpro did it and he can even put things at the top of very tall pine trees ....why was the next question ha ha ha Because he can do anything was the answer oh ! ....thanks TNX for this great cache the family and I really enjoyed this series of caches ...it always a pleasure to do caches with a difference
I have to admit that I was one of the cachers who tested the "waterproofness" of the first cache container and signed to say I had been there lol. I waited with bated breath for the cache to be published but the co obviously was more patient than me. When the co finally had the correct container and published the cache I had a multitude of other "stuff" to do. Finally today I headed over to re-find this and the bonus. As always I enjoy caches that are different and appreciate the hard work that goes into setting up these caches. Thank you TNXPro for a great cache.
Well after a fantastic Sunday caching over here with Kiwis69 and HKCB what else is there to do after a day at work but to drive over and cache till midnight! Nothing better to be doing on a Monday night, sleep is for the weak (or for the weekend?) Redbull for brekkie on tuesday morning to make sure I was bright eyed for work after a few hrs sleep
It was rainy in Hamilton, foggy on the Kaimais and then a lovely mild evening in Tauranga. Logs were signed as HK1 to save room.
Another great walk to this one. Ended up in a place we have been before for a cache. This one took a bit of looking. Thought we had it but overlooked it and ended up widening the search area but only one spot it could be so had another look around and what do you know something out of the ordinary was spotted.

Had a great time with 11hpg11 & HKCB around Tauranga yesterday but ran out of time to find our full wish-list of caches. We hatched a plan to return for a night caching extravaganza this coming weekend but, long story short, plans changed & tonight was the night! Logs were signed as HK1 to save room.
Reason #57 to cache with friends: getting to do fab night caches like this! Enjoying great banter and lots of silliness as we wander around here tonight. Took a bit longer to find this one, possibly due to my useless torch again. The others re-checked a spot I'd already scanned & there it was - oops! Log signed, code retrieved, onto the bonus ... thanks again for the great fun, another fav, TFTC

A bit of a last minute change of plans meant 11HPG11 and myself were heading back to Tga for another assault on it's caches. We were also meeting up with Kiwis69 who had been over their most of the day, with the main goal of the new night caches, plus whatever else we could find before we had to head home.
Had already found this trail and the final cache back in March with C&D, but as the FTF didn't count all that was needed this time was to revisit GZ and sign the new logbook.

5.30pm - With a few puzzles solved Squirrel Nutcase and myself decided to go collect these.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Trying to get our Mary Hyde - Friends League table to look a bit more respectable. The terrible weather isn't helping...
We had enough time to fit in one more cache. Again, the markers were well placed and the trail was easy to follow. We found the end quickly. What an interesting cache to find in the dark...
We have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences here tonight. This CO has created an outstanding series of caches that are fun to do... It's easy to award these caches favourite points. (We still have two left!!!) TFTP and TFTC.

I'd already seen some of these markers whilst returning from Wee Little Bugger so I had a rough idea where GZ would be. I've been waiting (a little impatiently ) for the CO to finish this one. It didn't disappoint. Wasted about 5 minutes at the wrong GZ before actually reading the cache page after which the clever cache was soon in hand. Redid the Yellow One earlier as I forgot to note the code but it's no hardship redoing these trails. Unfortunately no time to get the bonus tonight but I'll be back. TFTC. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening.
Left this one a bit late this morning and with light strengthening needed to have the torch on full narrow beam to spot some of the markers. Another enjoyable stroll through the park ending up at a location I've been to before, deja vu. Had a poke around at GZ before finding the geocache. Ah ha seen one of these before - have a geocache almost exactly the same down home ways.[^]
Thanks for another nice cache and puzzle. Last one for this trip, heading southwards (home) later on this morning. Hopefully the trails are still here next time we are back here so I can complete the series.

Meet up with Philip.Perry and blue steel for this cache. Blue steel made the find. CO turned up while we were there had a quick chat while he did a little maintenance then we were of the the bonus.

Davidsonclan had a free hour up his sleeve to grab these night caches so I figured I'd join him. He was patiently waiting as I arrived at the start and then we were off. A nice short walk before a quick search for the final. Neat container shame Mc Jandals broke it this morning ...
We'd just signed the log when TNXPro arrived - complete with needle nosed pliers. The repair was becoming rather time consuming but we stayed and watched... to be polite you know and the karma gods repaid us well while looking for the bonus!

This was the start of a crazy night as you would know by those frantic messages. Thank goodness I found that yellow trail cache for the code. Anyway i see this go up and aww FTF is gone. I look again no its not. We are off and running. Get there and no one around. The trail is an easy follow. Get to gz and running round like a mad Bogan finally find the cool little cache. And a nice clean log. FTF. 2nd one of these. Unfortunately a mishap and my apologies again. But thanks for what was going to be a nuts night. Lol tftc
Green for GO, unfortunately it was "Go to Bed" for me. Well Done Happy Bogan a well accomplished mission. Thought Id tackle this early this morning, rugged up warm and headed off. Thought I was smart, I had come across something in this area recently, oh so wrong, got to GZ area and had to keep walking as there was an old man there, wiping his dogs bum ...EEWWWW... only hoping that he had bagged it!! When coast was clear headed in, I had seen a few footprints in the mud and thought this has to be the area, after a little confirmation, moved along further, only to just about need that old man back here for me!! After a sign of the log (2TF) had a little fight to replace, but got there in the end. Headed back to the car, jumped in with everything landing in my lap, got to work to work out the bonus final, when I kept hearing Hello, Hello, Hello, from between my legs, oooopppppss, must have bumped group video call by mistake, you can imagine my embarassment, with phone talking between my legs and me talking to myself working out the numbers, sorry guys,...all in a mornings work, now off to the bonus. YAY, a fave for the effort, fright and embarassment TP. LOL
This cache was not in place on the 25th of March. There may have been a container being trialled there back then, but the container failed the weather-tightness test, so was removed. Sorry, HKCB will need to come back again to sign this one.
Woo-hoo! Another night cache! Do I go for the FTF or save it for later? Decisions, decisions....
FTF back on the 25 of March. I took the wrong turn and found another coloured arrow, so decided to follow it. Bingo another cache, however due to a minor technicality I cannot claim a find as the container has been replaced since then and publish. Still it'll make finding it so much easier next time I visit.
