Off to Tasmania to get Flinders Island LGA and finally the last LGA for AU at King Island. TFTC.A detour trip towards Melbourne to collect all the Victoria Atlas pages for a challenge.Today was Canberra to Bombala to Cann River and then camping on the beach at Mallacoota.Nice quick find
A nice straightforward find here todayWe're heading to King Island, via Mallacoota and lakes entrance towards Melbourne. An atlas mapping challenge directing our way towards our waiting plane. Flinders Island, some mainland Tassie, before our target, King Island... our last cachable LGA in Australia!Having been caching for years on our LGAs, sacada and myself teamed up six months ago to tackle the hard ones, then as it happened, all of those that remained. We now are making our way to the last, Flinders for sacada, then King for us both. It has been quite a journey!
Nice quick find a company by bellbirds or something that we thought were bellbirds.
I was heading home after attending the Capital City Geobash Mega in Canberra and decided to break my driving by getting a few caches along the way. Thank you Jump Pilot for the excuse and opportunity to take a break from my driving.
Find 3 - WOO HOO - I'm on the road to the Capital Geobash in Canberra AND you just have to find caches along the journey. Thanks Jump Pilot for setting up and maintaining this cache.PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures this morning.
After visiting some friends in Morwell, VIC, it was time to jump back in the geomobile and head back to Canberra for the Mega event. I have driven past this cache sooo many times but this time I decided it was time to get a smiley face on it. With KBKL and Sixpak69 joining me for the Morwell trip and the Canberra Mega, we made quick work locating this one, signing it and replacing it as found. Thanks for the cache placement Jump Pilot and for giving us a reason to stop
Found It!A quick find here while passing by on the way to Melbourne!TFTC
Download your offline maps..no reception at GZ thankfully l had done that and l was able to find this cache.
On a camping road trip to East Gippsland and over the border into NSW, Eden, picking up a few caches along the way, this being one of them. Today we were actually heading over the border into NSW and stopped here to stretch the legs and find the cache. Mr Pooky made a quick easy find in the obvious spot as again there was not too many options in the vicinity of GZ. TF placing TC for us to find on our travels. SL.
A quick find here despite the lack of mobile reception. Those are the loudest bell birds I have ever heard! TFTC.
I had a few choices on what to do and where to go for this long weekend so after a fair bit of deliberation I chose Eastern Victoria.
I headed this way so I could finally finish off the UBD challenge that I started a while ago so I was heading towards Cann River for the night.
This was going to be a very whirlwind tour as I was just picking up the required caches that I needed to finish it off passing a lot of other caches along the way.
I made it to my destination for the night so now for a quick drive up North on the Monaro Hwy to the border and back to finish off this map.
Following the Cann River to see how far it goes.
Well I have lost the Cann River East branch as the Flat Rock Creek is along here before turning into the Cann river.
A few trucks are heading south and it seems like a popular route.
Thanks Jump Pilot TFTC.

Stopped on wrong side of bridge first before moving to the great parking spot. Signed log while listening to the Bellbirds. Thanks for the cache.
Great parking along this highway which wasn’t that busy today, but always better to be off the road when those trucks come thru. The birdsong was beautiful here and our thanks for your cache.
3 from 3 so far along this road. I doubt I'll be back, so I really want to find them all. TFTC
The work year has finished, so it’s time to head off on another road trip - to explore ‘The Pointy End’.
DAY TWO: Jarrahmond to Mallacoota.
Decided to venture up to the border, so stopped here on the way. Some rather familiar names in this logbook.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Jump Pilot

Day 2 of the Bring In The New Year (BITNY) road-trip. After camping in at woods point for the evening it’s a day of UBD and LGA smashing. Finally time to tick off the south east of Victoria with a journey out to Mallacoota and surrounds.
Another quick find as we head to dip our toe over the border.
Thanks Jump Pilot for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Thanks for another Jump Pilot....
Thanks for another Jump Pilot....
This is our first chance to take off in our motorhome and test it out. It is so long since I have been caching, I am feeling very rusty, with very little caching over the last 18 months. Now we are semi retired, so we will no doubt get familar and catch up on some very late logs.
Loved listening to the bellbirds while making a quick find here.
Thanks Jump Pilot for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Having to do a delivery to New South Wales we thought that we would take the opportunity to take a more scenic route and grab a few caches along the way.
Not having a lot of time we were trying to concentrate on ones that were close to the road and this one fitted the bill.
We are quite enjoying these quick stops to get out and stretch the legs and grab a cache as well. You also get to stop and have a look at the devastation to the local area caused by the fire and also how well mother nature can bounce back in such a short time. The cache itself was another nice easy find and our name has been added to the log.
Thanks again Jump Pilot for the cache.

Thanks Jump Pilot

The cicadas continued in full voice in this area. Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Jump Pilot for the cache.
I appreciate all the time that you have put into these little "get out and stretch" caches but, I can't think of much to say

I had finished my time in Melbourne and was now heading back north via the Monaro region. I spotted this hide near the road as I was travelling past. Read the hint, which helped, and I quickly spotted the likely hiding place for this cache container. Then it was onto the next cache. A nice drive along this road. TFTH
Found this one while driving through the area.

Well our adventure travelling to Victoria to attend the Alexandra Mega Event unfortunately has to come to an end and with a severe rain event forecast, we decided we should hightail it out of there and try to keep ahead of the heavy rain predicated to come across the state over the next few days
Obviously, we took every opportunity we could to stop and stretch our legs, and finding a cache as you do [^] We had no difficulty in locating this cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way
Thank you Jump Pilot for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

14777. Found during a long weekend caching run down through the Bombala / Genoa / Mallacoota / Cann River / Orbost / Lakes Entrance / Bairnsdale regions with specimenX.
A long weekend caching plan was hatched with specimenX to head down to Victoria for 4 days of caching and camping. Had a fantastic time driving around enjoying the scenery, camping at various locations, plus the huge number of caches to be found. Day Four was here, and we packed up again. Next find for the day while now heading towards home. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, returned the cache, and we headed off to the next one.
Thanks to all the COs for placing their caches !!

We were on a mission today, to actually get caches in all 4 pages of the UBD Road Atlas that covers the far eastern section of Victoria that we haven't found a cache in. We would be chasing caches along a predetermined route, not all caches though, just the easily accessible ones, as time would play a factor in what we could and couldn't do.
We set off from Orbost early and headed for the Border on the Princes Highway, before returning to Cann River with a detour to Mallacoota. Then up the Monaro Highway to the Border to get caches in the map that covered this area. In what was a big day of driving, we managed to complete the task and arrived back in Orbost about 4.00 p.m., but that wasn't the end of our day.
We'd planned on grabbing the EGRT - Final at Orbost, but communication with the CO showed we had missed one cache and had to forget the final, so on to the missed cache 11 km away, then the drive to Bairnsdale where we'd made a late booking.
Thank you to all the CO's who placed caches along the route we ended up taking for our special day of caching, we loved the area in which we drove, even managed to cope with the icy mornings with frost on the ground until lunchtime.

I enjoyed these caches to break up the long drive today, and to stretch the legs. And carefully placed so there was always a safe place to park. Thanks JP.

Quick find while driving by. Now I am stuck back behind all the cars I passed. Bit harsh with the rotting animal circus there.
