Trying hard to clean up the remaining caches in and around Goulburn. Nice to get the previous blue, sad face off my caching map.TFTC
Exploring the Goulburn region today we took the opportunity to stop here. This cache was a straightforward find in the obvious location. Container and log in good condition. Watch out for the blackberry at GZ!Thanks!
New container, new log. Changed to micro. Hint still applies. Good to go.Cache on
Hi gazza959,The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention, or it may not but in the absence of the cache owner performing maintenance and/or disabling the cache to check it out, I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 4 weeks) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 4 weeks to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.Ngaambul - Matt
No sign of any cache like object, i dug around in the weeds and brambles with gloves on, but found nothing. i think this may have vanished again. Difficulty should perhaps be raised because of the mud and large number of eye level branches and sharp brambles around cache site making searching difficult.
We feel pretty confident that this cache is missing as the GZ is obvious and the rocks indicate a previous hide.
Did not find after extensive searching all around. We feel pretty confident that this one is missing.
Found with sebass19 on an awesome day on the Taralga Trek. We started at about 9:30am and starting heading back towards Canberra at 4pm. All up, 46 caches for the day which is great considering there were a couple of hard ones and DNFs. Very cold and windy day but the drive in this beautiful picturesque rural area was well worth it and the company made it even greater. We had beautiful BBQ pork ribs at the Taralga Hotel which made for a great chance to sit down and have a relax. Awesome effort from all the COs in this area!
First of the day! Parked in the suburb nearby and wandered over for a quick find. Cool pieces of the local railway history. TNLNSL. TFTC gazza959!

Planned to replace today, and once again the heavy downpours have put paid to that idea.
Hopefully later in the week,
Hopefully later in the week,
Cache has water in the container, log is wet and plastic bag disintegrated. Needs attention asap as log is unable to be signed
Found on a wet summers day trip through Goulburn. Cache needs maintenance, unfortunately we couldn’t sign the wet log so tipped the water out of the container and replaced it. TFTC
#12591 - 10:58:00 AM; Another mission to Goulburn with Sol de lune today to collect a few more caches to help with our various personal challenges. Not quite the smooth run we experienced on our last visit as we had a few more DNFs today, but the caches we found were for the most part in good condition and replaced as found when the logs had been signed. Left the urban caches in this series when we collected those along the road north. Returned for this one today and made the find after a bit of a hunt. TFTC gazza959
Up to Goulburn again for a morning of caching with LuckyL10n and this was our next stop. No issues and once at GZ the cache was a quick find and our names were soon in the log.
Thanks gazza.....
Thanks gazza.....
TFTC Quick easy find here today.
Grateful thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining so many great caches to entertain me on my journey. ??

Yesterday afternoon we started the Taralga Trek series about before the light became too dim, we had found half of them. This afternoon we returned with the aim of finishing the series. We started earlier than yesterday to give us a little more time.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks gazza959 for the cache and the series.

Find number 5554
Found while on a trip to Goulburn with Dave8153 and Snoopy1976 logs have been signed STD.
Pulled up and surprised at the old rail line here... equally surprised at the odour of rotten fruit around GZ where we could see the cache, repositioned up wind and managed to grab the cache with minimal discomfort to the senses.
Thanks gazza959 for placing this cache.

Hmmm. Yuck. Lots of rotten apples, and the cache was covered in bugs and slugs.
But i got it!

#2365 Final of six finds on an afternoon’s caching in Goulburn. Quick find after a short search. Had to do some maintenance as the log sheet was saturated. Have put a new temporary sheet inside a plastic bag. TFTC
Found while doing some Goulburn caches
Could see container but couldn’t access it as too many Blackberry thorns

I found it first find thanks Gazza959. Ps I couldn’t write name because water got into it.
Hello Gazza 959. Thanks for putting out the series. We are looking forward to doing it and exploring some of the region around. Wonder whether we might get run over by a train. A good start. TFTC
Thank you we hit this from Goulburn right up - what a great way to spend the day, everything was nice and green. Thank you for the cache.
In Goulburn for a couple of days, to pick up a few caches.
Most caches found in good condition, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, gazza959, for us and others to find.

A quick find because of the hint. That, and that the tree is bare of leaves at present and the cache is in full view. The cache container is good, and it appears someone has added some scraps of paper for a log. TFTC gazza959.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

jojoo57 and I are visiting the Goulburn area and today we decided to do the Taralga Trek and Taralga Trek Too caches. Thoroughly enjoyed travelling the countryside and finding these caches. TFTC
Today Geoturtle37 and I are caching in and around the Goulburn area. We managed to get quite a few caches done and they were all interesting in their own way. Sizes locations and ease of find were varied today . Thank you to all the CO’s that made this possible. Thank you for showcasing this lovely town, it’s views, it's architecture and it's history which is certainly fascinating and worthy of the caches dedicated to it.
Trip away with woolwood9 hunting containers in the area.
Stamped logs as TM/WW NZ or in pen as tm421/ww9
*Another nice find for us today, thanks for putting this cache out.*
Fun trail, good caches and generally safe places to stop.

AngelG27, Tankengine and I decided to hit the trails near Canberra to pick up some numbers. It was an awesome team - TEs driving skills, AngelG27s food delights and I guess I was just there for my sparkling personality??? Anyway it was a great day out and I loved being with my friends.
Trails aren't my favourite way to cache, but doing it with friends makes it not so bad. I have to admit too that a lot of the caches on this trail were also a little different than just a mint tin or sistema under a rock and so for a powertrail this was a nice one.
All the caches were in good order and the coords were good enough to find the cache - unless otherwise mentioned. Tftc gazza959!!!

Cache 4801 on 10 Mar 2019.
What is not to love about a long weekend - an extra day to go caching! I have a goal to reach 5000 caches at the QBN mega, so a few extra cache trips are required. Power trails are not my favourite type of caching, but doing them with caching buddies makes them bearable! So Tankengine, dty73 and myself headed toward the Taralga series today for some numbers.
TE has most of them already so he was driving, and giving us such useful advice! We also picked up other caches along the way, well why not! All caches found in good order and according to the hint, unless otherwise indicated.
This cache: quick find. Nice old train line.
Thanks gazza959 for the cache and the fun!

Looking at the map I thought here would be a short stroll required to reach this one, but there was a very convenient track that led to the tracks.

#3376 In the area today from Canberra. Found a total of 25. Cache was a quick find. Thanks gazza959.
Having a couple of hours to fill I opted to head out for a little solo caching.
Taralga Road looked interesting to this Brisbanite so off I set.
Totalled 30 finds in just over 2 hours, not too bad for an old fella! LOL …
Heasing back into Goulburn as I am under strict instructions to NOT be late for diner at 5.30pm!
Surely there is time to top up today's 26 finds to a nice round 30? LOL ...
As I neared Goulburn I chose my first target, this one.
A quick right turn to the dismay of oncoming drivers (they had plenty of room!) & I soon found myself at GZ.
Played here we go 'round the mulberry bush (except it wasn't a mulberry or a bush?) a couple of times to ascertain the best entry point.
Aha!
Cache in hand as was the massive spider that was guarding it!
Both went up in the air but I only caught the cache! LOL ...
Made our mark & replaced as found.
No further sight of the spider!
Thank goodness.

Darkside Dan thought it was about time I got back into the saddle and find a few caches so we hit Goulburn- TFTC
Started the taralga trek late in the arvo. All good with this one.
Thanks for the cache

Last one of the series, though we still need to go back and get an earlier DNF further up the road - next time.
nternational Geocaching Day today so Joolay and I headed out to grab a bunch of caches. Goulburn parkrun first and then caching. Finished off the Taralga series and grabbed some others on our list. TFTC

Out and about with Kittykatch and decided to go back to finish the Taralga Trail. It was a very chilly, windy day to be out and about but still good to see some country views. We knew there was some rain about and for some got a bit damp but mostly beat the rain. Thanks for getting us out and about.
