Our day started at 7 am. We were dressed and in the car, ready to head down towards Goulburn with the specific goal in mind of completing as many of the Taralga Trek caches as possible. We arrived at our first cache just after 8 am and completed our journey at 5 pm. We attempted 59 caches in total. Sadly, 6 turned out to be DNFs. Throughout the day, we had to battle the wind to keep our feet on the ground. Despite that, the views from most locations and the journey in between were great. We stopped in at Taralga Hotel and had a delicious lunch between the legs of our adventure. Given the sheer volume of finds today, my logs are pretty generic unless there was something interesting to add. ABOUT THIS CACHE: Quick find. It took us a moment or two to figure out how to retrieve the cache, but once we figured it out, it was super easy. Everything was in good condition. Log signed, and everything was returned as found.TFTC and the awesome adventure with my son!
Found with WaywardWoman while caching in the area. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
#7134- After trekking through the grass hoping not to meet a Snake on this hot start to spring, I spotted it first, then spotted how to get it out. Found with thomo31. Thanks- the first of 4 from this CO. Much appreciated.
Found with sebass19 on an awesome day on the Taralga Trek. We started at about 9:30am and starting heading back towards Canberra at 4pm. All up, 46 caches for the day which is great considering there were a couple of hard ones and DNFs. Very cold and windy day but the drive in this beautiful picturesque rural area was well worth it and the company made it even greater. We had beautiful BBQ pork ribs at the Taralga Hotel which made for a great chance to sit down and have a relax. Awesome effort from all the COs in this area!
This one took way longer than it should've. We spotted the cache pretty quickly but we tried a whole elaborate scheme to extract it but then realised there was already an assistance tool provided at GZ. Great hide, well played! TNLNSL. TFTC gazza959!

TFTC that was a great cache very ingenious a bit hairy with the long grass and prickly bushes lol
A trip to check out some of the awesome places in NSW and grab some old caches. TFTC.
Nice hide. Didn't spot it at first.

Help our breath past the stinking dead wombat! Tricky find, but the kids loved this ingenious one. TFTC
Parked in a safe spot on the other side of the road then went to find the fence line and quickly found it. TFTC
#12594 - 11:16:00 AM; Another mission to Goulburn with Sol de lune today to collect a few more caches to help with our various personal challenges. Not quite the smooth run we experienced on our last visit as we had a few more DNFs today, but the caches we found were for the most part in good condition and replaced as found when the logs had been signed. Managed the find after Sdl had skipped past the hiding place. TFTC gazza959
Up to Goulburn again for a morning of caching with LuckyL10n and this was our next stop. Took a few minutes to spot this and LL made the find in spot I had already checked....just not well enough obviously. Log signed it was time for one more before heading home.
Thanks again gazza.....
Thanks again gazza.....
TFTC Quick easy find here today.
Excellent design, had me tricked for a moment. Log book pretty dry and all sealed up well
Grateful thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining so many great caches to entertain me on my journey.

The condition report by 2y'stassies had me a little concerned, as I have only just refurbished this cache. Checked, found all good. The logbook looks grubby but it is dry and ok to use...I had just dried out the original logbook for continuity.
After visiting Mount Gray and completing an Adventure Lab in the morning, we decided to head towards Taralga to see part of the area we had not visited previously and to look for the caches placed along the roadside.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a very well designed, constructed and presented cache. Unfortunately the log has been wet and is in need of some TLC. Thanks gazza959 for this cache and the part of the series we visited today.

We were travelling from Taralga to Goulburn and pulled up for this one as it was in the 50km/h zone and had plenty of room for parking. This was a nicely hidden cache. TFTC gazza959
Originally parked on the wrong side of the creek but once we got to it, a great find. It’s definitely there. TFTC.
Thank you we hit this from Goulburn right up - what a great way to spend the day, everything was nice and green. Thank you for the cache.
A nice and easy find as we started towards Taralga, then onwards to other places for the night.
Now this one provided me with a real challenge and took me nearly 30 minutes to find! In fact I spent so long in one spot that the ants thought I was part of the landscape and got a good nip for my tardiness. Brilliant hide and I hope the next cacher has just as much trouble as did I! A fave from me.
Decided to take a drive to Goulburn, along the back roads.
Picked up caches along the way, and this was one of them.
Signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, gazza959, for us and others to find.

Out with Darkside Dan making a few finds around Goulburn after the local GC event. Thanks gazza959
Staying in Goulburn for two nights and today we decided to do the Taralga Trek and Taralga Trek Too caches. Many thanks to the CO/s for placing these caches and showing us around your area.
jojoo57 and I are visiting the Goulburn area and today we decided to do the Taralga Trek and Taralga Trek Too caches. Thoroughly enjoyed travelling the countryside and finding these caches. TFTC
Today Geoturtle37 and I are caching in and around the Goulburn area. We managed to get quite a few caches done and they were all interesting in their own way. Sizes locations and ease of find were varied today . Thank you to all the CO’s that made this possible. Thank you for showcasing this lovely town, it’s views, it's architecture and it's history which is certainly fascinating and worthy of the caches dedicated to it.

AngelG27, Tankengine and I decided to hit the trails near Canberra to pick up some numbers. It was an awesome team - TEs driving skills, AngelG27s food delights and I guess I was just there for my sparkling personality??? Anyway it was a great day out and I loved being with my friends.
Trails aren't my favourite way to cache, but doing it with friends makes it not so bad. I have to admit too that a lot of the caches on this trail were also a little different than just a mint tin or sistema under a rock and so for a powertrail this was a nice one.
All the caches were in good order and the coords were good enough to find the cache - unless otherwise mentioned. Tftc gazza959!!!
p.s. I really liked this hide.

Cache 4803 on 10 Mar 2019.
What is not to love about a long weekend - an extra day to go caching! I have a goal to reach 5000 caches at the QBN mega, so a few extra cache trips are required. Power trails are not my favourite type of caching, but doing them with caching buddies makes them bearable! So Tankengine, dty73 and myself headed toward the Taralga series today for some numbers.
TE has most of them already so he was driving, and giving us such useful advice! We also picked up other caches along the way, well why not! All caches found in good order and according to the hint, unless otherwise indicated.
This cache: nice hiding technique!
Thanks gazza959 for the cache and the fun!

Our goal today was to cache the Taralga Trek from Goulburn to Taralga before continuing on to the Wombeyan Caves. It was a lovely drive and we enjoyed the scenery. We saw a few kangaroos and did some birding at the various stops along the way. Many thanks to the CO for having laid the trail. Once on the correct side of the creek we soon homed in on and found this nicely hidden cache. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Hey, this is a nice set-up! Neatly hidden cache.
I was surprised how extensive the Kenmore facility is. It certainly has some nicely styled old buildings.

#3377 In the area today from Canberra. Found a total of 25. I cleared some spider webs while searching the area. After a short good look around, the cache was spotted. Thanks gazza959.
I'm in G Town today so decided to make another dent in this trail. Nice construction. Tftc.
Having a couple of hours to fill I opted to head out for a little solo caching.
Taralga Road looked interesting to this Brisbanite so off I set.
Totalled 30 finds in just over 2 hours, not too bad for an old fella! LOL …
This is the first target for my afternoon adventure & was a quick find to set the pace.
Nicely placed & hidden
Made our mark & replaced as found.

International Geocaching Day today so Joolay and I headed out to grab a bunch of caches. Goulburn parkrun first and then caching. Finished off the Taralga series and grabbed some others on our list. TFTC
Out and about with Kittykatch and decided to go back to finish the Taralga Trail. It was a very chilly, windy day to be out and about but still good to see some country views. We knew there was some rain about and for some got a bit damp but mostly beat the rain. Thanks for getting us out and about.
10721 and 16th of 19 found today.
FFP and I decided to take the day off today to do something different. So we were originally heading to Young but my mate was away so we headed to Wombeyan Caves instead. Of course whenever a cacher heads away they normally do a PQ or caches along a route and away we go.
And that's what we did.
Nice that most, if not all, this series had good safe places to pull over and the co-ords were good as were the containers.
Happy to say that FFP (lapsed cacher) helped me find a couple that had me scratching my head.
A lot of work went in to this series so thank you for that and thank you for placing the cache gazza959 and the plethora.

We’d only just gotten in the geomobile and it was time to get out again. A quick scramble across the road by mizmaz and myself and cache was in hand. Let the trek, smiles and souvenir goal begin

I almost missed the telltale sign of this cache, very glad I spotted it before we searched for too long.
Thanks

This cache defied our expectations. No, it wasn't where we had come to expect a cache. It was more subtle than that, but Toriaz managed to spot it quickly, nevertheless. Thanks
Needing a concentrated area to tick off enough smileys to make a dent in the Mythical Creatures challenge, k.e-a26 joined me for a “quick” run around Goulburn, Taralga and Crookwell. Sun shining, wind icy but enough PnGs and by nightfall we had ticked off 50 finds. When I had passed along this road a year ago, I had been more intent on tackling TRLT (south) than starting this, at the time, partially completed power trek, but after an impromptu invite recently for the Trek Too section with HappyUke, decided to return today and finally tick off the north/south run. Quick find with a giveaway attachment.
A massive day was planned to clean up the area around Goulburn and do all of the Taralga trek. Started with a parkrun in Goulburn and then took the clockwise loop to Crookwell, Laggan, Taralga and back to Goulburn. Weather wasn't really on my side, cold and partly wet, but no soaking rain so I pushed through. Great caches and a good series with lots of different containers and hiding spots. I had a great day, thanks to all the cache owners for putting out the caches.

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar once again teamed up for another fun day of caching in the highlands. With our intended target being the Taralga Trek we made our way to Goulburn late on Saturday where we grabbed a few local caches before heading out to Peejar Dam where a very chilly night was spent under the stars. Sunday had us snaking our way around the Upper Lachalan area of Crrokwell and Taragla before heading back to Wollongong to complete our 24 hour adventure.
Thanks to all the CO's for your cache placement, they added to gtreat day out with the boys.

Out and about on a 24-hour spree with The Rats and Steeba. We headed down to Goulburn on Saturday night to grab a few of the local caches that we had not yet collected, and then out to Peejar to spend a cool night under the stars. Sunday morning we went into Crookwell for breakfast, before following the Trek series into Taralga, and back to Goulburn. Finally we headed for home via a few more caches in the Highlands.
I ended up with a touch over 100 caches in the 24 hours away from home (100 was my goal, as I work towards 10,000). Some excellent caches were found. Thanks to all of the caches owners for their efforts.
Cheers

Another little caching sojourn with The Rats and Hoojar- not quite a weekend away but with a night out. We started in the darkness in Goulburn before camping at Pejar, into Croowell in the morning then across to Taralga and back to Goulburn via the Taralga Trek. Some nice countryside! Then back to Goulburn and slowly made our way back via the highlands and a few more find.

OCW StumbleTrip today. Our aim was to do the trip between Goulburn, Taralga, Laggan, Crookwell and back Goulburn. All up we attempted 67 caches of which 4 were DNF's. Time wise we took way longer than we had calculated but then we didn't really have a time limit! Thanks to the cache owners for placing all the caches we attempted today!
We woke to a coo morning with quite a bit of fog about, but it soon cleared to a lovely autumn day just perfect for caching.
We set off on a loop in one part of town that had a variety of cache types. There were a few different types of hides and not many muggles in the areas we visited.
Goulburn is a much older town than where we live, so we enjoyed the older buildings and some of the history the place presents.
A well constructed hide.
