Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Moving again today from Wauchope to Kempsey. Once set up at the showground we headed into town for some advice then off caching we went. TFTC ozglory
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Today I was grabbing some of this series along the way.
Stopped off here where the container was found after a short search, once at GZ. So good to see a decent size container for a hide.
Thanks ozglory for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Found with nissan65 on a day trip caching. Thankyou for your contribution to geo caching.
With a FTL (failure to launch) at a previous cache hunt we came to try our luck on the Star Trail. No problems here. A nicely set up cache container from a previous life. TFTC ozglory.
The last thing I expected a few days ago was to be caching my way home from Queensland. Our kids were due to travel by plane to the Gold Coast for a conference for the course they are doing but Jetstar had other plans. They cancelled their flight then cancelled the replacement flight causing them to be flying a day later. Then at 11pm the notice the following days flight was also cancelled with no replacement available.
With no notice the only way for them to get there was to drive from Geelong. Leaving home a little after midnight we had 19 hours to drive the 18 hour journey. Not leaving a lot of time for fuel and toilet stops. I managed to get them there with 5 minutes to spare.
That was few days ago, I have now dropped them at the airport for them to fly home while I was left to cache my way home wit Mr Dromaniax who flew up just to cache his way home again with me.
After spending the night in Byron Bay we were heading for Canberra for the night trying to pick up Adventure Labs and large caches on the way, as well as wanting to grab Lane Cove on the way past.
We have a similar run of caches in our area of the world and is great to pay tribute to those who are stars of our game.
Thank you ozglory you are a star too

We seem to remember being out in this area before, but not on this series. Found this one nice and quickly.
After a quiet day yesterday in and around camp where we walked on the beach and enjoyed a coffee it was time to make use of the good weather and head out for some caching again.
Today we headed out to Crescent Head, a beautiful place and then back to Kempsey with Adventure Labs, the odd puzzle and multis and trads on the agenda.
The weather was lovely and a most enjoyable day had, although some of the caches were tough going in the bush.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache ozglory.

Easy and quick find and the log was soon signed, and the stars continued to shine bright. TFTC
log replaced and water dried out.2 things put the cache undercover in its obvious place and put the log back in the correct place. That way nothing gets wet
We have been looking to pick up as many 2/2 caches as possible on our trip south. Kempsey seemed to have a nice pocket, so we took this detour. We picked this one up on the way out of town and back onto the busy Pacific Highway. It was a bit of a detour but worth the trip. Incredibly, spots like this are so close to such busy traffic speeding along, oblivious of what is a few hundred meters away. We found the cache in excellent condition and dropped a pathtag for the next cacher. Thank you for this cache ozglory.

On a wet morning we decided to brave the Firetrail and see what condition the road was in. Fortunately the main road is well protected and was an easy drive to get to GZ. What a lovely idea to have some tribute geocaches to various people along this trail. ?
Thanks ozglory!
We look forward to seeing this Trail grow, and hope that we will be able to come back and find more once they have been added.
Domsky ?

Found with my family while on holidays. Day 1. On our way up north we made the slight detour to a large cache and this one was nearby, so we found this one too. Quick find.
Thanks for break and cache!
Thanks for break and cache!
We had seen this trail while we were planning a run and decided that it was worth doing, unfortunately for us our car did not want to engage in 4WD but it wasn't necessary for this trail.
This cache was located quite quickly, as soon as the container was seen Mrs Shifter thought " about time we found some more decent size containers' and we certainly we not disappointed with this trail.
Thanks for the hide ozglory.

We're headed to Coffs Harbour for the weekend, and of course had a list of caches to look for on the way. As we pulled into Kempsey I spotted the Star Trail, and wondered why I hadn't put it on the list, so we scrubbed our plans and made a start on the stars....
At GZ young Oliver peered into the hide and spotted the cache from the other side. Cool container, the log is nice and dry, we didn't make any swaps today. TFTC - great idea for a trail too.....

A small caching window after work so despite the damp conditions headed out along the star trail for some interesting caches and learn a little more about the locals. Certainly slippery in the 2WD along the dirt or should that be mud road. Certainly some great and creative hides.
No problems with the final. We completed the signing duties and re hide. TFTC.

So today was the day we headed up the star trail to see what all the fuss was about. This was the first we come to and when we worked out which of the multitude of tracks to head down, we jumped out and found a trail of sorts to walk to. Obvious locations in sight and a treasure was found. Great big container and cute smaller star in side. TFTC
Found it while on a ride, didn’t bring a pen so here’s some photos for proof. Don’t look at photos if you haven’t found it as it will spoil it. TFTC!
To finish off me caching day,
I followed this trail into the forest
As for the mud puddle ...
... on arrival a carload of local teens showed that it was not a problem for a family sedan,
as they splashed their *borrowed* car through it at a rather high speed and covered their vehicle in mud [:o)]
None of the occupants looked olde 'nuff to be driving without 'P'-plates ??
But that is quite the norm out in state forest areas around townes,
I've found [:o]
So through the puddle I drove,
past the angry dog,
past the beehives,
and stopped for a short stroll to GZ
A lovely cache find out here in the forests [^]

Cache all good, however, the road in has deteriorated a lot for the first hundred meters or so. Please use caution.
A group of us came out here after the event in Kempsey - nearly as busy in the star chamber than it was at the event!! Great container and a FP for it!

Found on a day trip to Kempsey for some caching.... thought it was time to attack the star trail. TFTC
Finally time to get some caching done in Kempsey. After meeting ozglory we were keen to check out their caches and we were not disappointed. We particularly liked all the caches in this series. Fav point alloc. Thanks to ozglory for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Took trackable.
Today we spent a couple of hours around South Kempsey to find a few caches, this was our first one for the day.
We spotted a fairly distinct geotrail that lead right to GZ where we quickly located the nice large container.
Thanks for the cache

OK, now that we have our Licence to Kill ( no wait, that should be Permit to Cache) my name is Girl, Bobbies Girl!! After leaving the last cache I says to Pilot, "You have to back around the roundabout and then take the old highway past the pet boarding" "No," says Pilot "this is the road down here" Well, we had a very minor argument and Pilot says "Well' I'm not coming back" So of course you can just picture the rather smug expression on my face when once again I was right!! (Will he never learn??) Reminds of a song "Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble.....". But I digress, after a short tramp through the scrub, ever mindful of the slitheries we came across this wonderful cache. Well done ozglory, fav point awarded.
Hi there ozglory.
We found your cache **"STAR TRAIL (Star Chamber)"** at 1:36:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 17620).
We cached around Kempsey Smithtown and Gladstone today, & thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 19 caches (& DNF'd 4). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
**Dropped Trackable:** "Ellie, The Woolly Mammoth".
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We found this cache very quickly and easily and thought someone had a bright idea. Finding the log book was a stellar thing to do. Put all back after signing as required and headed back to the geo vehicle to continue the hunt for the day. Ozglory gets our thanks for placing so many caches around the Kempsey area.
Today we decided to Kempsey to attend The Christmas in July event. On the way we stopped to visit
a few caches that had been placed while we were away.
This was the first in the star trail & a great one to begin with. Thought there was no log book but a more thorough search we soon found it & logged our name.
A favourite point given. We have done similar trails to this so I can the trail growing longer over time.

Found at 11:03 AM GAFF1in the company of DiMorgan.
On our way to the Christmas in July event, we met up with DiMorgan to do this series of caches. They were already there and had found the cache and re-hid for us to have the fun in finding it - and to get a GAFF1 on it
What a great way to start the series - a nice simple hide with a great themed cache container.
Thanks ozglory.
