This was fun! After rummaging around for some time in the pricked, I found the attached top of a bison like container! After reading the logs and widening my search, I located the actual cache too! TFTC!!
A road trip of planned caches turned into one as the weather packed in. However we remained nice and dry collecting the required info from the car, before finding a quick break in the weather for an easy find at the GZ. TFTC!
On our way to Hastings today having spent the day ( and night ) in Palmerston North.Grabbed a few caches on our trip overNumbers crunched anf final coords plotted - Parked nearby and cache sought, quickly spotted - Log signed and returnedTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Xmas caching roadtrip time again, we left the motorhome at the camp in Dannevirke and set out in our Xmas decorated Jimny.Nice quick multi completed on Xmas Day so very few muggles around TFTC.
Yes I Wood geocache here. Principally as it's a Multi-cache starting with the letter 'Y', and secondly as my surname is Wood. Had a great chinwag with the owner of the nearby business. Even spent a bit of money there, then stopped elsewhere for a coffee and snack.
Lovely day. TFTC

Solved while on the other side of the "hill" intending to find it on our return which is exactly what we did. TFTC
Road trip for Team BOP over the long weekend.
After completing the Vikings Series yesterday, we decided we needed less quantity, more quality caches today and a more relaxing schedule.
Our accommodation is in Woodville, so made sense to clear this town of caches also.

Matariki weekend and a team of us from BOP have ventured south for a caching weekend. The team consists of TNXPro, NZFlossy, McJandals and DavidsonClan. Logs signed as Team BOP.
Weather cold wet and windy but that won’t stop us on our mission.
Ngā mihi for the cache hides.

Another day in the wairarapa/manawatu. Great to get some more smiles for the challenge streak.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Down here with part of team BOP and staying at Woodville. Day one was the Vikings and so today was to be a lot quieter and easier driving with looking for favourites and adlabs Thanks to all the CO s TFTC
Stopped here to do the ad lab and noticed this multi. Soon had what we needed and it was great to find it as we were in the area. TFTC
Up for the weekend with Itchyfeet2020 and TrinityNZ to chase the Stickman geoart series in a day. Had time on our first evening to do a spot of night caching ... was chasing another challenge that required finding five caches in an evening. They had to be found one hour after official Sunset of 7.23pm - so we started caching at 8.40pm.
Although pitch black soon found by Itchyfeet. TFTC

We are in Woodville tonight for a run at the stickman series tomorrow. Justlooking00 has a challenge to do 5 caches at night so this seemed a good time to do that, although we are now past our 5 and are caching out Woodville . Multi duly calculated earlier and all quiet at GZ tonight. TFTC.
Grabbed the clues a while ago, claimed on the way past for a multi dot day today. Thanks watcache
JustLookingOO, ItchyFeet2020 and I are in Woodville for the weekend, primarily to attempt the Stickman series. We also wanted to find a few caches after dark, for a challenge JL is working on. So we headed out about 8.30ish for two hours of night caching.
I’d solved this puzzle while I was waiting for the others to arrive in Woodville. I had also completed the Adventure Lab, so had been near GZ earlier. This time in the area, it was pitch black, but it didn’t take IF2020 long to find the cache thanks to the hint.
Thanks for the cache

After checking the nearby Olympic venue, we can see the opportunity for the village here
Nice to change the sad face to a happy one solved a while back so had the old cords all sorted now aroha and happy caching
Staying a few days in Woodville with the opportunity to pick up a few caches. Thanks for the placement
I had a DNF here back in 2019. I thought I was heading that way again today, but I eventually spotted the top half of the bison, no sign of the bottom or logsheet. I signed a write in the rain log strip I had in the car which I wedged in the remains of the container. TFTC
Thanks for the multi here... found while wondering if I need another coffee before returning to Palmy.

Almost time for a souvenir reset for Signal's battles to free himself from somewhere or another and maybe some associated merchandise might also come along for purchase, or not. Anyway, I've been hanging out for a red-letter day for a clear early morning start and get up Wharite and see what's to be seen, and find a few caches of course. I also had the last few 20/20 puzzle cache solves on my radar, thanks watcache for those. And an overdue return to the other end of the Gorge walk and pick off the geotour cache there. Finally, make a start on some of the solved Stickman caches, thanks mar1sa. Quite a day planned then. As usual it wasn't quite the prolific day as planned, but still found 'a few' as well as an archived skindo puzzle in Woodville which has been sat there for a few years unloved. Thanks so much for all caches found and many thanks to the cache owners for their ongoing efforts.

We completed the calculations for this multi last night and so were off to the final first thing this morning, in the misty morning. Found easily enough and then we were on our way, with the first cache of the day under our belt. TFTC

As I so often do with multis, I made a simple error which was soon sorted out by the checksum. I had no problems at the final site where it was all quiet and I made a quick find.
(# 6835) Day 4 of my Gisborne trip. Today was getting from Napier to home. Main interest today is to get some of the PWGT series. A quick find after getting the information required. Thanks for bringing me here.
Thank the Lord for that. I was bracing myself to fossik amongst the brambles but no, it was at my feet. Tftc
we like this type of multi

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Easter weekend is upon us. We’ve been looking forward to this holiday - it’s a chance to take a big swipe at the PWGT2 caches. We’re also keen to pick off some interesting hides and avenge one or two previous DNFs...
If we must do multis, then let them be like this one. We crunched the numbers and quickly derived the cache coordinates. No problem with this hide - as the CO states, it is definitely a straight forward multi. Thanks judddy and TFTC.

#19466. We are always keen to try to avenge DNF's a long way from home. It didn't take long to work out the coords (again) and once at GZ I recalled our unsuccessful hunt in 2018. At first another DNF looked likely, but eventually I spotted the cache container down below (it mist have tumbled down the slope). I went down and got the cache, and we left it back up the top, with a covering that will hopefully keep the cache in place. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ en route from Lower Hutt to Palmerston North.
We had failed to find this cache a couple of years ago, but had not recorded the final co-ordinates so had to revisit the published co-ords again. No big drama as there was just one WP to visit and the final was quick to work out.
Unfortunately, the final was not quick to find. There were multiple prickly hazards and went went up and down the fence line without luck. Then SW spotted a little white container in a fenced off drain?, and, sure enough, it was the cache. Phew. Replaced where we thought it should be with a bit of covering to stop it wandering off again. TFTC.

I was pleased to have a day out geocaching with TwigNZ. The aim was to find all the 20/20 geoart puzzles, which we managed. We then had some spare time and decided to hit Wharite and other nearby caches.
Now it was time for a break and some food and water. We stopped in Woodville and found a few of the local caches. Found the location to gather the answers, unfortunately we misread one of them. It put is in roughly the right final location but not close enough. We broadened out search and were lucky enough to locate the cache then realised our mistake. Signed as S+T or T+S then returned as found.
Thanks for placing the cache here.

Stardust718 and I had joined forces today to hit the nearby 20/20 geoart series and any other caches that we would be driving past.
Having just ascended and descended Wharite, we figured it was time for a bit of a break for some food etc after caching for about 8 hours straight so headed to Woodville, giving us the chance to also find a few caches around there such as this one.
Gathering the info was nice and easy, in spite of us actually making a slight error in sorting out 1 digit which caused a bit of a delay in finding the cache, but once found there were no issues with the log which was signed as either "S + T" or "T + S" seemingly dependent upon which of us was doing the signing lol. My apologies for the generic logging but we had a good day out finding all these caches nonetheless.
Thank you for publishing this cache.

We are in Woodville today after catching the train from Feilding.
Arcane Junior and I decided to roam around and find some caches that are nearby while my wife and toddler check out the market.
We worked out some coordinates and ventured out. After underestimating how much of a walk it’d be we arrived at GZ. Our GPSr kept telling me to go over the fence and I couldn’t figure out why.
Up and down the fence line we hunted until I realised my mistake; I’d made a tiny error on one of the coordinates (Arcane Junior pointed it out) and I’d written the correct number below it without crossing out the incorrect one... oops!
Once I entered the right coordinates we were lead straight to it.
TFTC judddy!

An enjoyable, straight forward multi, thanks judddy. The container was found lying exposed on the ground and needs some cover. I would have attended to this but a woman farmer in the nearest paddock was taking a big interest in my actions so I didn't want to draw any further attention to it.
Maintenance run today, and have shifted the final location a fraction from the previous hiding place and have updated the questions to compensate.
Logging as found but only the top remints of the cache container left, so couldn't log. Hope thats OK. Thanks for the straight forward multi, don't tend to do multi out of town
Found with little blue hen. We decided that travel overseas as planned this year was now a distant memory and as we hadn't been to Napier for over 10 years a short break was in order. Woodville was our stop for breakfast and coffee and a few caches locally were on our to do list. Thanks for the opportunity to stop and cache. Tftcsl
On a weekend road trip to Napier to see sir Elton, and finding a few caches on the way. This was one of them. A quick solve while I was hanging around town, all good here, TFTC
A quick and easy multi that we completed while sitting in the car opposite the sign.
A short drive to the final to sign the log, and we were back on the road again. ThanksFTC

Easy to get the right information and then off to the cache. Just as we were signing the log a muggle pulled up nearby and came to ask if we were doing the tracking game. Obviously a local who was aware of it but also said the landowner was not happy it was there. Maybe it should be placed elsewhere.
We figured since we were in the area, we'd pick up one more cache as we headed back towards Palmy.
The solve was very straight forward which was great and the hiding place was immediately clear when we pulled up (great band too), but although we could see the cache we were reluctant to rummage around the thistles to grab it. Mr Rattll jumped the fence where he could reach it without too many issue's.
Then it was on to Palmy for the real challenge of the day - Christmas shopping!!!

On the way from Wellington to Napier caching and exploring along the way. Thanks for the history lesson in Woodville. TFTC
We cood and we did ! Oh heck, if this was all about learning something significant about Woodville I've forgotten it already. No worries, I remember finding the cache, that's the main thing . Cheers !
Passing through Woodville on our way home to Gisborne. Stopped at the nearby park for lunch. Enjoyed the style of this cache. Favourite from us. Thanks
Vacations 2019 - Road trip trough New Zealand
With Geoesposa, this was my 50th anniversary. 16 days, 4200Kms and a few hundreds smilles after, i was sure i saw nothing....
I liked everything, the friendly and civilized people, the way the country works, the roads and especially the natural beauty of New Zealand.
I fell in love....
I decided to go back in 5 years, I easily see myself living my last days somewhere lost in any stunning scenery of this wonderful country.
With the itinerary studied at home, the caches were the ones that were in the chosen places, and a few used to stretch the legs. It was decidedly not the most important on this trip. Of all the visited, only half a dozen did not appear, all being in good health except two or three.
I will use this generic log, not for disrespect of the owners, but due to the amount of caches visited. Here the majority of caches serve to show something beautiful (as it should be), not giving importance to the container.
My thanks to all the ownwers who, allied to the natural beauty of the country, have made this vacation unforgettable.

Grabbed the nearby traditional and then grabbed the required info for this cache. Wasn't hopeful given the last 2 DNFs but on arrival spotted the shiny Bison tube quite quickly. Log book was empty so presume that all has been replaced. Thanks for the multi and thanks for the cache.
Got a heads up call from Scoria a week prior wanting to venture out for a Saturday of caching, didn’t have much time leading up to the weekend in question so we did not prepare mystery solutions sticking to traditionals instead at first (he had a target number of finds for the day).
After a poor showing looking for caches up in the hills we ventured down to the flats around Woodville, completing the non mysteries in the area before heading out to knock off a stickman or two.
It has taken a bit longer than I had hoped to get around to logging these caches so apologies for the late log submission.

Currently trying to boost my March caching count up to one hundred so as to claim one of the Wiarapa challenges later this year.
D6NZ and I set out today to make a dent in the 19 I needed, I selected a Tararua unsealed road as it provided a good dozen or so finds but after traversing it today we only walked away with a few. Fall back was to at least target the ones in and around Woodville.
After eating at the park we walked around the corner to this location and solved the final location. Off we went and quickly had the cache in hand.
Thanks

We are away in our campervan just cruising the manawatu to Waiarapa then on to Hawkes Bay and return. During our tour we enjoyed travelling the quiet roads away from the main state highways. we enjoyed the bike trails around the Napier to Clifton and the inland trails up to Hastings and beyond, many of these trails of course were extra special because they had geocaches placed along them. Many thanks to all those who look after the caches. We hope you enjoy the same when you come into our area.
Sorry about the cut and paste if you have more than one geocache that we had found

Located. Had be placed by gate/fence, instead of hint location. Relocated now. Thanks for the cache
We had a good look around the hint object, but all we got for our efforts was some pain from the prickles.
#10,483. An interesting collectibles store on Ross Street in Woodville. No problem collecting the required information and got the check sum to agree first off. Made our way to the final GZ, which was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was out in the open but in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Returned cache according to the additional hints.

Lunch in Feilding, then a drive over the hill to find some caches with Mrs Popmac around Woodville and Pahiatua. Soon had cache in hand. Thanks for the cache.
Needed a cache for a dot-day and with only a few caches left that we haven't done in the area decided to head slightly further afield. Woodville looked like a good option as there plenty of alternatives in case of a missing cache and we had collected the required information for the multi caches on a previous visit. Had visited another cache in town but there was an occupied locomotive parked up nearby and searching by torchlight would have been too obvious at GZ - turns out that there had been a fatal car vs train accident further up the line as we discovered later... Didn't really need another cache for the day but having come all this way it made sense to grab another and this looked like a good alternative. Nice and quiet at the final and a quick find. Thanks for the multi judddy.
As the starting coords were just across the road from where I parked my snail shell I just couldn't refuse to not do this one.
Gathered all info and left home a bit early for the event over the hill so that I could sign this one off.
Cheers for the cache.

I wasn’t the only one who heard the train tooting and the other two would have been pleased to have seen it if I had managed to find it!!! Passed a cop who was disinterested in us . TFTC.
#5861. Day 2 of the mid-winter road trip into the back blocks of the Wairarapa and southern Hawkes Bay. The team (Ethness, Infoferret and I ) camped overnight in Dannevirke (OK it wasn't really camping as we all had comfortable beds and it was inside a nice motel). But it was base camp for the night. After caching northeast of Dannevirke in the morning it was time to pick up some caches near the Manawatu Gorge in the afternoon. We solved one multi in Woodville but decided the weather was looking too dodgy to pick that one up. So did a second multi nearby and located the final. This was the third multi attempted in Woodville. The team sat in the car and went through the questions and answers as a group. The checksum agreed so off we went to the GZ. Infoferret went for a wander and soon found the cache. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache watcache. Pleased to have got out of Woodville alive as Ethness has a fetish about steam engines and roared around like a headless chook trying to find it. Glad that bus decided we were not stopping for anyone at the give way sign!
1 July 2018 15:41. Tftc, found after a mad dash around town as EthNz heard a steam engine whistle. Once we gave up on that chase, we soon found the cache.
5th of the day. Very easy to save but we were not able to save the coordinates on the phone as we needed data coverage using cachly. So we returned home and I punched in the coords and it was close enough to walk so off we went and were surprised to see alpacas in the area!~ A great day with us finding a traditional, mystery and a multi all in the same day. TFTC.
We soon found the plaque and calculated the coordinates. The format of the hint had us wondering initially, but became obvious on arrival, and the cache was a quick easy find with markhnz. TFTC
One day out of a four day long weekend for geocaching was not much to ask for? An early start for us at 7.25am. A long day with 39 finds and 3 dnfs. Gravel winding roads in the Wairarapa picking up out of the place scattered caches - but the day was beautiful and no wind (except at the very top of somewhere in the wops lol). A highlight was getting to Pongaroa Hotel hoping for some chips and a beer on Good Sunday. Huh! Not a park in sight. Turned out it was an Easter Hunt weigh in between 1-3pm. OMG the wild pigs, deer, goats and rabbits in the back of farm wagons was an incredible sight to see. The kids had an obstacle race where they had to run it with a dead rabbit in each hand. Stopped for a while, skipped queuing for food and drink and on our way. Again in the middle of god knows where on a narrow winding gravel road when we stopped for a cache (thank GOD) when a large convoy of four wheel drivers (?) came belting along towards up. Then the last couple of hours we had our hearts in our mouth realising we were very short of petrol and whether many petrol stations would be open on Easter Sunday. Made it via a back road to Pahiatua where the BP was open! So I didn't really enjoy the afternoon - bit t stressful for me. A great but tiring day. Thanks to all the CO owners.
Nice wee multi quickly solved and great hint meant it was quickly found and logged. Beautiful day and so quiet on Easter Sunday. Perfect for geocaching. Tftc

Back travelling through Wood ville travelling from teaching up north from here and now it has been checked out and replaced i could go straight to it and sign it It was straight forward Thank you for this puzzle and another smiley face.
We came out this way this afternoon to meet up with friends at the playground and hoped to find a few of the caches close by. One bloody nose on the roundabout later, the fun afternoon was cut short. The rain started once we had the blood cleaned up and we decided that this would be our one cache of the afternoon, as we'd solved the co-ordinates when we arrived.
Miss 3Prettys was the one who first spotted the cache, walking up to it at just the right angle. We quickly signed and replaced, hopped back over the hint object, and headed home.
Thank you for the cache!

The rain had really started coming down as we got into Woodville so stopping off at the park to let the kids have a play was going to be a non-starter, so I pulled over to quickly grab a photo of the plaque so I could solve it over lunch, which I dutifully did. Afterwards before heading out of town I took a slight detour to the GZ to make the find, not realising that there were a couple of DNFs, but also recent maintenance. No matter as I located the cache quickly and made my mark on the fresh logsheet. TFTC

My second visit here, The first a few weeks ago when teaching at nearby school but had no luck so today as i was back nat the school i checked againg bracing myself well fror the excitement of finding a cache BUT no! still no luck! amybe next week when i over there again?/ perhaps it needs a check???
In the area today so thought why not pick up a cache along the way. Didn't take long to work it out did a bit of zip zagging to get to it as we don't know Woodville to well. We have not bee to this area before very quiet here today. Thank you for placing a cache here. Now to head back to Feilding then Shannon. tftc
After the traditional corned was picked up, I thought to have a go at this one. Got the answers quickly then I went off the final to find two set of muggles feed their horses. They didn't pay me much attention in the haze of the evening, so found and signed the cache TFTC
I had some time in hand after cleaning up some unfound caches lower in the Wairarapa so decided to come on to Woodville and see if I could deal to the 11 caches that have been placed since I last cached here. I had pre-solved this one at home thanks to a friend who had photographed the plaque for me, but I took the opportunity anyway to go in and have a look around the fascinating range of items for sale inside the building. The cache was a very quick find. Signed log, TFTC
I achieved my tasks for the day by midday so decided to reward myself with some caches over behind Dannevirke and Woodville. I had collected the information and solved the other multi first, but decided to grab this information to solve this multi before collecting either cache. Arrived at the listed coordinates to find two ladies deep in conversation right next to the plaque. However I didn't let this stop me, I just walked up an took a photo and walked away, so goodness knows what they thought I was up to. I don't care, I don't live here. Quickly figured out the final location and headed thereTwo ladies chatting a plaque. Quick find at the final. TFTC
Calculated the numbers and all worked. Went for. Drive past a sheep tied up at a gate to the cache. No one about on an early queens birthday morning. TFTC
