Pleased to get this cache this time as I past on the way to mother in law birthday in new plymouth. I visited the site about 6 weeks ago but did not locate it as I had no hint which didn't help but having the hint this time meant it was quickly located, taken to car to sign out of the rain and then replaced. This sculpture is great and it was very glad when I heard it was not being scrapped instead it has been re erected at patea.
Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.

Out with my geo team today collecting caches. Been meaning to stop here for awhile and do this one and today the opportunity arose! Couldn’t get the green tick to work but finally figured out where we were going wrong. A quick walk to the final and soon we were signing the log! TFTC

We knew this sculpture from its time on the foreshore walkway, and wondered how long it would be before someone made a geocache for it. This was a nice quick solve for us, and a short drive later we were at the final. I was looking vaguely about searching for the hint item when my wife dived behind my back and came up triumphantly waving something.

Nice hide and multi, thanks for the cache.

#9622. A good day to explore more of Patea and its surrounding areas. An interesting multi here. No problem collecting the required information to work out the final coordinates. Final GZ fortunately was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Thanks for the placement and for bringing us to the sites, and …

Heading to New Plymouth and stopped off at Patea to solve this multi.

Simple solve along with a little educating. Cheers.

Well it's safe to say that today has been um eventful. Woken up at 5am in Stratford to head down to Palmerston north so I could talk to studylink about my options. Found a couple of caches on the way, attempted a multi which was a large container but my maths wasn't good so left it. Driving home and wanted a break so stopped at turakina and drive to a cache where my car became quickly bogged rang AA who actually were not very helpful and just when I was about to lose my shit, a good Samaritan came to my rescue with his tractor and pulled myself and one other car out (they weren't caching). I have never been so relieved or annoyed at myself at the same time, what a dick move driving on wet grass but thank goodness the tractor was there. Anyway, this cache was a nice quick find on the way home, meet place for final gz. I initially discounted the object but as I have learnt today to with your gut!

Was heading north for work and decided that I needed a break from driving so decided that I would pick up this multicache. Having being pass here last month I decided that I would stop and get the information that was required to solve this multi so that when I came pass next time all I would have to do is pick up the cache.

Decided that I would stop by GZ today and pick up the cache as I was making my way through this lovely little rural settlement I noted that the area where the final GZ was, was completely muggle free.

Managed to find a parking spot in front of GZ and then it was a quick and easy walk to GZ, once there it only took a few seconds for the GPS to settle and then it was a bit obvious where the cache was going to be, had a quick look and was very surprised that I was able to find the cache in the first spot that I looked.

Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, glad to see another cache here to highlight this great sculpture, TFTC TNLNSL (12324)

Relatively quiet while visiting in good weather so had a good look at the Whale skeleton. The puzzle was straightforward - didn't even apply the geocheck. The cache was handily placed. Tftc

Out for a swashbuckling adventure with Pirate Pete to try and score some caches for the latest Pirate mission, both parties escaped parole for the day. Set sail southwards to gain some plunder. THis cache was one that I had not found, so time to make amends. Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. Thanks for the cache from Blenheim Bear! Smile
