Long weekend off from work so we decided to go for a camping trip with some friends. Last day we took a detour to do some caching on our way home. Stopped here for a quick find as well, thank you!
Last cache before heading into the National Park, and a nice quick find in fine rain so we didn't get too wet.Time to move on today as we head to the Warrambungles, caching on our way. Virtuals, puzzles, Earthcaches and some trads on an at times wet day, but not as cold as we have experienced in some recent times. It was an interesting day's travel with a variety of caches and some good things to see.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Waz and Vik.**SKI Pair****
Thanks Waz and Vik for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 1,004 for us We are traveling Australia full time in a Coaster Bus and of course grabbing some caches along the way. A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY TWELVE: Last minute decision to head north, to the Warrumbungle National Park to check out the Dark Sky, via Gilgandra and Tooraweenah.Bumped into LaMaDu AGAIN! Theyd already found the cache, so a quick sign here before we said goodbye AGAIN! Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Waz and Vik ~~

Now to get away!Day 12: Time to leave Dubbo and head for the Warrumbungles and the Dark Sky site with some new LGAs to explore. We bumped into Lamadu1 again here. The girls had already done the hard work and were sitting at GZ while the cache was signed. We had accommodation all organised but it was a little early in the day to stop. We took the opportunity to do some more caching around the area. Nice drive and caches. Thank you for placing this one for us to find.
Heading to Longreach for the last QOGM with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506.We stopped along the way to pick up a few caches and signed the log as PDGC.(Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers)Thanks to all the Co's for making this trip, more enjoyable. Signed and replaced as found.
We are heading up to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.
We booked into the caravan park here but it was a bit early to pull up stumps so we thought that we would head north and pick up this cluster of caches. We are glad we did as most of the hides were a nice quick find and all the logbooks now contain our acronym. Apologies for the generic log but it was close to happy hour and our mind was on that.
To save room in the log we signed PDGC (Papi Drove Geoturtle Crackers)
Thanks for the cache

Day out in Tooraweenah. Beautiful weather. Blue skies 24 degrees. Signed and replaced. Tftc
Apologies for the late log here (14.01.24) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.The cache name drew me in, but the reality was a little more conventional. A dusty drive-by but I was in and out quickly. TNLN-TFTC!SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.

On a bit of a loop from Coonabarabran to Tooraweenah and through the Warrumbungles. Beautiful countryside. TFTC
Tftc Waz and Vik & TCP30H,
Looks like a replacement container, but all good here.
We have stopped here on our way home via Tamworth to allow all the country music festival visitors to move on.
What a cute little town with plenty of history.
Fast shearing and yabby races at the pub today for Australia day.! Then an Aussie pub lamb roast,
Happy Australia Day.

A big day starting at the Siding Spring observatory, a visit to the Warrumbungles, picnic lunch at Tooraweenah and a walk at Peak Hill. Ended up adding five new LGA’s.
As the knickers and host have been exposed to the elements, the enjoyment factor was a little lower for this one!
We are heading south from Brisbane in 2023 and picking up as many new LGA’s as we can.
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
Waz and Vik, I found Frilly Knickers today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

I found Frilly Knickers today as part of our random road trip to who know where????
We are escaping the rain at the campsite. Spending the day in the car finding caches along this road instead.
Many thanks Waz and Vik for providing and maintaining this game piece for our enjoyment.

I don’t know why the name is called this but new container and log is in place. Thanks for path tag!
Quite an easy find. Cache is unusual (hence the ? designation) and is in good condition. Signed and replaced. Thanks Waz & Vik for placing the cache and the tour around Tooraweenah, such a lovely little town.
Poor frilly knickers was missing, replace cache and log with path tag was left in its place. Unfortunately no teddy bear with frilly knickers to look after it, all good to go now
Bugger!!!
Logging my caches in Coonabarabran, I've just realised I missed this cache! One day I'll be back for a camping trip to the Warrumbungles. I'll rectify the situation then.

Found with Sixftundernover whilst on deployment with RFS doing food hamper drops during Covid
I was expecting maybe a toy grilled neck lizard...but no..I got what I thought were 2 beady eyes staring back at me! Scared the crap out me! Found with Hintonites while on a job.
What was supposed to be a quick park-n-grab to fill a gap in our calendar took a bit longer when my phone GPS led me to the wrong hint and I spent too long search there. Sorted it out in the end and was soon back in the car and out of the rain.

Day 12 of our NSW road trip and making our way from Gilgandra to Tamworth today via Gulargambone. Variety of small towns visited, driven through interesting country side and quite a few caches discovered. Many thanks to the CO's for placing these caches.
Caching today from Gilgandra to Gulargambone to Gunnedah and onwards to Tamworth. So many caches I have decided to do a generic log. Thank you to the CO's of the caches I found in the various locations. Much appreciated. Found cache and signed log. TFTC

Found it after searching a couple of other similar locations.
The guardian was a bit damp, but he'll dry out I'm sure, and the log was fine.

Dayboro trip. Day 14. I spent the night in Moree and began the next leg of my journey south to Tooraweenah. It was good to get some caches in each of the towns I passed through including Narrabri. It was a nice day and getting cooler as I went.
The set of caches on the way to Tooraweenah and the area around town drew me to stay the night here. It was a great drive to each one and only long grass causing problems. The Van park was fantastic with very welcoming hosts.
Thanks for the cache Waz and Vik

This one took several minutes as I checked the many hides in the area before finally getting the right one.
Yay 1st for 2021. Here with KoolKats camped at Blackman 3. Had a great time hiking & camping.
Embarrassingly this took longer than it should have to find, especially in the wet. But got it eventually! Tftc
#2252 Twelfth of sixteen finds on an afternoon’s caching around the Central West. Found after a short search. TFTC
Simple enough. Took some squirrelling around to find it, but soon enough we had a little guardian in our hands
Good one. Ha ha. But didn’t quite cover the disappointment from not being able to supply another submission on the Facebook called the adventures of abandoned underwear Tftc favourite
was dreading what I was going to find here but a laugh at the find all the same and an easy find in the end after the find dropped into the Emu Logics just up the road well worth the stop if you are passing
After skipping the last one just back down the road, due to the mud and rain, we drove to this one and the rain just stopped.Across the road and around the rocks and we soon had the cute container in our hands and the log signed.
Thanks
We have enjoyed all of the geocaches along this road today. Thanks for placing and maintaining them all. Great history!

Taking the tourist route out of coona this morning, after we'd had our fill in the NP I noted a handful of caches on the road leading out and convinced the muggle man to stop more than a couple of times to add a few smilies to my geomap out here. A quick park and grab here. Thanks Waz and Vik / TCP3OH.
Day 2 at Tooraweenah driving around the greater district picking up those caches in gthe area. All caches managed to survive the latest flooding and in reasonable condition. At the end of the run for this one now to turn around and grab those those that we have passed. Give a fav point.

Heading from Brisbane to Canberra over a couple days, Coming from Armidale this morning to visit the Warrumbungles we had a lovely time visiting the lookout (climbed up from below ) for the EarthCache and doing the road tourist loop 1 picking up a few traditional caches along the way. This was a great detour before heading for home again.

We had a fantastic day trip out from Coonabarabran to here in Tooraweenah, finding 15 caches out of the 15 we attempted - no DNFs! We saw some amazing views of the Warrumbungles, which we hope to explore tomorrow, and we really enjoyed finding every single cache, and having lunch in the pub in Tooraweenah. Thanks very much to the cache owners for placing them - once again we've been brought to a place we would never have known about were it not for geocaching.
A nice quick find, the last of the day. TFTC!

More caches were on the list to be found today, along with ilook4geo. There was no problem with any of them and each log found was soon signed with two more names. All were returned to their proper hiding places before we moved off again. Thanks go to Waz and Vik for this cache placement and to TCP3OH for their assistance. Such a cute guardian with this one.
Some more caching today to add some smileys to our caching map. Found all we looked for and signed each log. They were then replaced as found. It was a good day. Found an unexpected and pretty cache guardian here. TFTC.
Quick roadside grab. Cache found in good condition. You can certainly tell there isn't much rain here. This cute cache wouldn't survive in other regions. Im feeling very thsnkful i pucked up a hard cover map to. No signal at all. Tftc
