Not sure if we found a trail or not. After a good 20 minutes of looking high and low, we did find lots of pieces on the road that may have been a snail. No log to sign so logging as a DNF

Very nicely crafted. A great container in good nick. Had the rest stop all to ourselves, on the way down to Geelong, from Canberra. A solid reason to stop and stretch the legs a bit. Cheers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. What a great way to start my two weeks of Annual leave. I decided on a Geocaching trip down to Holbrook to find all the lone unfound caches, along the way. I left early in the morning, and found majority of caches on the to-find-list. I ended up in Holbrook by 11am, which I decided on having an early lunch. After lunch, I headed down south for a couple of other caches before starting to head in the home direction. All up, I end the day with 26 finds which was made up with 24 GC and 2 GCA caches. It was a great trip and day out. There were many types of hides, containers, and sizes, which lead to varying difficulties to find. Most were quick finds and all were in good condition. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. Big Grin TFTCs! Big Grin Another great hide today and now I completely understand the name of it. A great little cache that you don't usually see as a rest stop cache. Thanks for something different and now time to start heading northbound to get home. Big Grin

I promised the geobrats a surprise if we managed to find ten caches today and we were on eight, so the pressure was on to find two more child-friendly and accessible caches. This one was perfect on both counts. The geokids were quite delighted by the container and we were quickly back in the car for "just one more"

I stopped here for a breather and to stretch my legs. It's a nice cache in a good location that's a short walk from the parking spot. I walked through a huge spider web on the way to the cache, but thankfully, it was only the bottom part of the web, and I saw the spider scurry away to the top of its lair.

Pitstop on my way to Aubury I was going to have an early lunch here but proper for my van was non existent..so didn't want to bunker down for too long only enough to grab this cache.

My daughter and I left Brisbane on Wednesday night, and made it to Canberra after friday after a stop to see her brother in Sydney on Thursday noghtAfter a few days at the Canberra Mega we headed to Melbourne for a family birthday party. After our second night in our accom I was up early while she caught up on sleep and picked up a few early morning caches. We then hit the road with a view to picking up at least one cache in each LGA .Found a safe place to park and was soon at ground zero where the cache was quickly located. Log book signed and back to the car and off on the next challenge.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.

Sydney Courier Run!Day Three: Goulburn to BarhamWeather: sensational. An 18kg snail is a frightening concept! When I lived in Sydney, a trip down the Hume to Melbourne was a regular occurrence. There was no freeway between Tarcutta and Albury back then, and a lot of the drive today is unrecognisable to me. I guess this is a remnant of the old highway here. Nice spot to break the journey, thanks for this cache jacko*. A favourite, mainly for the interesting snail facts! Its officially a megaGCA1DNA The Great Leap ForwardAdelaide, South Australia February 29, 2024Wed love to have your company.

Very cute indeed. A quick pit stop in between rain showers.
Added more paper in a snap-lock bag. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze!

*The generic bit for today's logs*
Spent the night in Bathurst but didn't do much caching there due to the rain and it being 5 degrees when we left! Rained most of the way home, so picked a few caches here and there to find. Heading south... it's the last day of our trip 'north for warmer weather': North East Victoria to Central Queensland, via Curtis Island! Just under 6500kms of caching, chatting and avoiding the cold! We have enjoyed the great variety of caches along the way. Thank you to all the COs who maintain them for us to enjoy.

Out and about today to head to Albury. It was a little hard to open so had to get some help from my Chauffer.
It was an easy find, but the Snail was giving up no secrets, her log was very full and does need to be replaced sometime in the not do distant future.
I did enjoy this one...

Found it, signed it, replaced it, then ventured on to a train venue.

Thank LilDonna and Chauffer.

Today is the tenth day of the Sims_family/Dromaniax big road trip to Queensland and back again.

We are towing a very big trailer, which was chockers, but when you have a mission, someone else is paying for the fuel, and there is the opportunity for nine days of caching fresh fields, you jump at the chance.

We have a long list of target caches and hope to cross quite a few goals off the list on this trip.

We were on the final stretch home and planned to pick up a cache in NSW and one in Vic, you can never have too many two states in a day combos.

This one was conveniently placed right next to the highway, a five-minute stop, and we had a nice quick find of a cache in great condition.

Thank you jacko* for this Traditional cache.

23-Apr-23
What a great cache! Thank you

14-Apr-23
We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache (1.5, 2.0) had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.

Thanks to jacko* for the generation of this nice cache Snail Trail (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Departed southward bound at a reasonable hour on a cool sunny Wednesday morning for a 3 day geocaching adventure. With no hurry to get anywhere and the final destination a 5 or so hour drive away, there was plenty of time to pick off a few convenient caches along the way. Stopped for a quick bite to eat in Gundagai before continuing through to Holbrook, collecting a number of well overdue partially solved hides. On approaching Rutherglen I diverted to some of the surrounding dirt roads for as many previously solved mysteries as I could find. Continued with these until after a glowing sunset sunk below the horizon, when I turned towards town and meandered into the oval campground. Having quickly set up camp I wandered around the site on foot for a few more nearby finds. Dining later under the stars I soon slipped into a comfortable sleeping bag, chatted online with the kids back home then shut my eyes for what turned out to be a decent night's sleep.

Up sooooo early for a dazzling sunrise display and preparation for the day ahead. First up was the Mega Opening Ceremony, mingled with a quick sighting of 'Signal' and a few fellow Canberrans who had also travelled down from the nation's capital. Today was GeoArt Wherigo day, along with a few other randoms caches here and there. It was a marathon effort in the end, 108 Wherigos found and signed, a lunch time event attended, a few surprisingly difficult recently published caches in Cowra, and a whaling virtual from a bridge. Finished off the evening with a crunchy chicken burger at a semi local food establishment. Driving back to Rutherglen I pulled over to chat again with the family, before continuing quickly to the campground and straight to bed.

Woke Friday morning pleasantly surprised to find everything hadn't been washed away. Don't recall the rain stopping at all overnight, but always relaxing when listening and falling asleep to the pitter-pattering of the rain from above. Headed straight out for a quick letterbox circuit and then to hopefully complete the Wherigo Easter series. Plodded away slowly but surely through wind and rain and occasionally sunshine. Passed by the odd cacher and recklessly speeding local here and there, but again the roads were for the most pretty much empty. Noticed the three Wherigo DNFs from yesterday had promptly been replaced by the CO, so happily I diverted back to pick up all three, finishing off the full 154 'Easter 2023' Wherigo series. With a grin of satisfaction and sigh of relief I returned to town to attend the GPS Adventure Maze. Impressive as always, appreciated the hard work in setting this up. Three from fours Australian mazes now successfully negotiated, how far I wonder will they continue to go? Poked around the Gadget Adventure Labs for an hour or so, again catching up with a number familiar faces from home. As the afternoon continued time was starting to press, so said my goodbyes to anyone who listened and after a few more selected caches on the edge of town started my journey home.

Thanks to Geocaching Victoria, cache owners near and far, fellow geocachers, volunteers everywhere and to everyone else involved in this great activity, for without their help none of the above would have been possible.

Any specific details related to this geocache listed at the end of log, whether relative, interesting or not. TNLNSL TFTC

Heading south to Kinglake today and stopped by to claim a find in a new LGA. Clever cache!

What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.

jacko*, I found Snail Trail today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

On a road trip from Sydney to Geelong for my daughter’s imminent baby, traveling with my geodaughter, and what better way to break up the journey but to pick up a few of the many caches available in between the two cities!
We pulled in to find a bunch of caravan muggles residing in our way for a break. So I parked up a bit further down and walked back to the GZ and quickly found the quirky little hide.
