Over in Tauranga for the day walking and geocaching. I completed two of this series a couple of months ago so weve picked up they other two and now for the bonus. Were not here at night so even though these are night caches, we are happily completing them during the day. Great trail,TFTC
Back for round two with Kiwi Does Stuff! Big thanks to tnxPro for setting up these series of night caches, after struggling with another one on the way into Tauranga we thought we outta finish this series to feel better about our caching abilities. A new area of Tauranga has been discovered and ticked off the board. Luckily Kiwi Does Stuff had noted down the numbers from our last tour out here so it was just red path left before making it to GZ here. Success. Now a steep walk back up to the car and a rest. Appreciate the series again, TFTC! FP to complete it.
After clocking all the others, we had all the required details for the bonus. Thankfully from where we were this was on the way back to the car, so a quick easy grab. Thank you for all of these caches, you have inspired me, altho with a bit of a difference. I hope I can impress you
Nice easy find for the BonusBeautiful walk around the parkAlso very well donethanks
Over the Hill again today. These one were first on our listNot been here beforeAwesome walk around the parkThanks to the CO for amazing seriesNice to get the Bonus & FavoriteAlso very well kept
Over with ABCDF4 and eyespyben. These caches were the focus for the day. Enjoyed the walk around walk around the park following well located signs. Not been in the area so thought highly of the park.Arrived at GZ and quickly located cache as it was a bit exposed. So after signing we hid it better. Thank you for this series.
Between 28 and 31st January we will be spending some time in Tauranga and hope to attempt this Wherigo If another cacher wants to join us in finding this one, please contact via message service or email so we can arrange to meet at GZ.
Ammo can has been muggled and is very rusty, so although a temporary container is in place, its likely to become the new container.
Out to make a few finds this evening. We did the night caches on a previous visit.A short walk to the bonus and a quick find.Love a good ammo can. I couldnt find a log book so I used the back of the Geocaching info sheet. I guess that theres supposed to be a systems container inside t only the lid remains. +FP for the really good series of night caches.TFTC
Having done 3 out of 4 of the required caches yesterday, I was able to go out early this morning, before the rain set in to find this one.
Still plenty of muggles around, but none near gz.
Co ords were slightly off but easily found once I braved the soggy ground.
I left one of our homemade rattll coins because I enjoyed the four caches I found.
Thanks for setting this up

Maintenance run done. Added a few extra swappables and more camo. Please rehide well.
So cool ! Had a travel bug in it which is my first one. I’m am so happy and my friend is going to take it back to Australia .
Great to complete the series and get all the numbers to be able to get this bonus one
Glad to complete the series & get the numbers to solve the puzzle. We were a little surprised to find it. Tftc
Thankfully I solved these coords just after getting the last cache in the series, and it turned out the final was on the way back, which is good as the pedometer was already showing 5km.
Was surprised at the side of the final. Don’t see too many of these around.
Great trail. FP.

We have been meaning to do the night trails for a long time now, and this weekend we came up with a plan. We’re not Owls, but are early morning Larks. So, if one of us woke up early, we were going to drive out to Welcome Bay well before dawn. Our plan worked a treat.... first on our hit list was the Yellow trail. Then the Silver, and by then we were really getting into the swing of things. So much so, that we spied a nearby Red tag just as we were nearing completion of the Silver; which saved us a little walking.
Back to the car we went, and by this time it was nearing day-break and the sky was getting lighter. But luckily it was overcast and the light was still dim, so we decided to quickly continue with the Green Trail.
We remembered to collect all the code numbers collected along the way, and the Bonus cache was a straight forward find after the 4 night trails.
We had a lovely time – misty rain combined with darkness meant we had the trails all to ourselves, and just near the end of the last trail we encountered a couple and their dog – the only muggles we came across during the course of our (very) early morning adventure. Things couldn’t have worked out better. We highly recommend the trails, well set up, and a lot of fun. Thank you TNXPro.

End of series. Had a great night bouncing all over Johnson reserve. Definitely got my step count for the day sorted. Thanks for the cache and even more for the whole series
The moon was peaking out from the clouds by the time we got to the bonus cache. We are pretty tired after going to the other night caches so decided to drive closer to gz. We have really enjoyed following the trails, it felt like a true treasure hunt and was nice to not be following our phones. Walked too far and had to use hint to grab this one. Mr possum was overlooking us while we signed the log.
Was having trouble finding with the GPS but the hint was helpful! Great multi find in our local park - thanks!
Thank you for making my niece and nephews day with this bonus. What an awesome way to spend my birthday.
Many thanks for this series of night caches Dave ....
We started them in January and finished them tonight and got the bonus....
Favourite Point!!!
Sure is an amazing and extensive Park....

Glad to have this great set of caches off the to find list. Great fun finding with Supernannny. TFTC
Brought the kiddies back to trade some treasure. Left couple bouncy balls took McD toys. Cache in good condition. Thanks
Found during our North Island Road trip. We enjoy doing night caches, so the night before we completed all 4 in the series. This morning we were heading to Cambridge but had to come back and get this final one we had solved. The park was very different during the day and a great little area to explore. Thank you very much for the series.
We completed our final night cache last night, so we ventured out for this one in the daytime. GPS sent us a little bit too far, but the hint helped us out! Miss 6 swapped a pair of sunglasses for a My Little Pony, but Miss 10 opted not to make any trades. The park looks so different in the sunshine, haha! Thanks for a great series! TFTC
Woot! After the diary walk, took a small detour home to find GZ. Awesome cache so much treasure! Thanks
Due to Covid19, and to encourage people to "stay at home" to prevent spreading the virus, I am joining others in temporarily disabling my caches.
Finding 2 of the caches on a previous trip and the other 2 today we had all the info for this bonus. A short walk through this pleasant park and we made our way to GZ. Took a few minutes to find as we were looking slightly in the wrong place where the GPS was pointing but after making an adjustment found the nice sized cache quickly. Thanks for this great series - FP for the effort put into it.

Had found one of these caches months ago and couldn't find where I noted the number, fortunately, a bit of guesswork, some luck and a helpful hint and the cache was soon in hand. A great series in an awesome park - hope the locals appreciate it. Another favourite point. Thanks for a great series!

Having completed another DNF on yet another "long-time-between-finds" cache I needed a quick find today for my streak before starting work.
This one I'd spied as something amiss when in the general area, so today returned to log it. I haven't completed the other caches yet for which this is "The Bonus Cache" and have them to look forward to when I'm not working night shifts - which is six nights a week.
Clever hide - but not clever enough!

An after dinner question of "are there any night caches in Tauranga?' was all it took to entice us out the door with our guest renelm from Denmark.
After locating the four caches and noting the clues we calculated our best entry point for the final and after another short walk through the trails we soon had the final cache in hand. Thanks for our evening entertainment TFTC.

Out today with my Nan, (Mc Jandals), who is showing me everything about geocaching. This is a lot of fun. I really liked the swag inside and did some neat swapsl Thank You for placing this here.
Hi there TNXPRO, out and about today trying to qualify for show me the ropes challenge, so have been teaching my grandaughter (McBella) all about geocaching. She was excited to find this, she swapped some swag, all good here and nice and dry, cheers.
Headed to Tauranga for a long weekend of caching with Merlot58 and Jag50. Loved completing all of these night caches. The final was quickly located and the entire series receives a favourite.
We had completed the four night trails and so were keen to grab the bonus before heading back to our accommodation for a drink something to eat and a nice hot shower after a great day's caching in the area. The quality of the swag had us all oooohing and aaaahing.
We completed the four night trails so came along to grab the bonus before heading back to our accommodation for a well deserved drink and shower after a successful day's caching in the area. The cache was exactly where the hint said it should be and in great condition and I was really impressed with the swag in it
Haah, big sigh of satisfaction for finally completing the 4 caches along the trail. Discovered that the bonus cache had moved approx 18m from co ordinates given since we last found it by mistake, but the clue was so good that it was easy to find. Great SWAG. Took TB. Cache carefully replaced. TFTC and Thanks for the series.
Fav from us in thanks for all the work you have done to set up some fun geocaching.

Love this cache, a great end to these night trails. There were so many swaps in there so nice to see. This was also our first time finding a cache of this type. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.
After doing the whole series we had our coordinates so we decided that 'yes' we would do the bonus tonight... even though it was already 1.30am! Off we ventured and arrived at GZ without any problem... imagine our happy, happy faces (especially Mum/Grandma's whoop of excitement since she actually found the cache) to find such an awesome cache. LOVED the container... and it's the first one of these we've actually seen... and as for the contents... awesome! Totally deserving of a favourite point! Thanks so much for a great night of fun
Ended up being a great evening for a walk. Thought the weather wasn't going to play the game but ended up nice. Hunted the obvious place but nothing. Hint didn't match GZ very well but after a while the prize was found. Great series and a joy to tick this one off. TFTC
A check up on this and I decided to move the cache. Still within GZ coords, just easier to access and hint made more specific.
We were out and about in Johnston Reserve this evening, looking for likely places to hide a geocache.... Well, we found a suitable place, but guess what, there was already a cache there! What are the odds????
Didn't even have our GC bag with us, but we decided to sign the log with the supplied pen and come back ASAP to do the rest of the trail to claim the find.
Took a TB to help it on it's way, we have one to replace it with when we come back, properly armed! TFTC!

We have had the coords for this Bonus cache for some time now, and today we set out to see if we could find our way there on the unfamiliar track network. Seems we made the correct choices at the various intersections, as we soon found ourselves at GZ. But we could not seem to find the container or even the hint item. Then we used the phone to check the cache page and noticed the hint had been updated, and was now much more specific. We followed the track for another 15m or so, and very quickly spied the container just as the hint now described. Many thanks for that, and for this fun series of night trails, which are all very do-able by day (we have done some by day and some by night).
Have been working through this excellent series over the last couple of months whenever I was up in Tauranga. This morning picked up the Bonus after completing the last of the series. Excellent sized cache, no problems with the location.
Many thanks for the series, its been quite pleasant wandering through the reserve in the early mornings. FP awarded.

5.35pm - Just a few caches on our way home today to finish our distance challenge. SLTFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Another big weekend drive to clock up some distance mileage.
Distance from previous cache: 24.36 km
Total distance logged between caches today: 626.31 km
Onto our final cache of the weekend... We saved the best for last. We knew where this one was situated despite needing one bonus number from the Red Trail... Our iPhone gps pointed further down the track, but the hint seemed obvious. A quick find and a well stocked cache. Left a couple of travellers to further their adventures. TFTP and TFTC.

Finally knocked this one off - it has taken awhile and some sharing - missed collecting a few collecting a few numbers. A combination of - area knowledge, good friends and back tracking and I was able to find a great bonus cache - Thanks to the CO who has put a lot of time and effort into this series. Great for all cachers - young and old - day and night - Glad to have finished as it has given me a few head banging moments but looking back it is an excellent series - Well done TXPRO
I didn't have grandie with me to get the bonus ...bugger ...what a fantastic collection of swag, I can see you have gone to a lot of effort on this TNX and really appreciate your efforts on the complete series ....I do know how much effort it takes so thanks heaps ...the cache was found a few meters from the co ords I had entered into the GPS ...thanks for the great hint or It may have taken me a while ...not to mention the wet areas
And what a bonus cache! Arrived at what I thought was vs and decided I would get very wet feet. Looked at the hint and back tracked 18 odd meters. And there was the cache. Wow so fantastically well stocked - the one time when no grandie in tow. Thanks heaps for setting up these caches - huge fun and a great area to walk.
Have updated the hint to make it even easier, as some are struggling with the coords. I will look into why the coords seems "out", as I spent a lot of time taking coords here over several visits.
Well after a fantastic Sunday caching over here with Kiwis69 and HKCB what else is there to do after a day at work but to drive over and cache till midnight! Nothing better to be doing on a Monday night, sleep is for the weak (or for the weekend?) Redbull for brekkie on tuesday morning to make sure I was bright eyed for work after a few hrs sleep
It was rainy in Hamilton, foggy on the Kaimais and then a lovely mild evening in Tauranga. Logs were signed as HK1 to save room.
After a lovely stroll collecting the numbers we were determined to get the bonus too while we were over this way. Lucky there were a few of us as it took the most searching! Searching via coords came up empty and so we tried looking around and still didn't spot much that resembled the hint. It wasn't until we spotted previous logs about just how far we needed to widen the search area that we spotted something that most definitely resembled the hint. Bingo that was the spot! A well stocked cache, should have had kids with us, but instead it was just us, the young at heart who got to enjoy the toys. Thanks for the awesome trails, they were very nice and we all had a blast

Had a great time with 11hpg11 & HKCB around Tauranga yesterday but ran out of time to find our full wish-list of caches. We hatched a plan to return for a night caching extravaganza this coming weekend but, long story short, plans changed & tonight was the night! Logs were signed as HK1 to save room.
Reason #57 to cache with friends: getting to do fab night caches like this! Had a lot of fun collecting the series and arrived here, expecting the find to be fairly straightforward. Searched for a while without success. Stopped to re-check our numbers & to look at previous logs. Noting comments that others had widened the search area, we did the same & 11hpg11 quickly came up with something much more closely resembling the hint item than anything we'd found at our presumed GZ. Relieved to find the cache safely tucked away - nice stash too! A great series, thanks heaps for the fun, TFTC

A bit of a last minute change of plans meant 11HPG11 and myself were heading back to Tga for another assault on it's caches. We were also meeting up with Kiwis69 who had been over their most of the day, with the main goal of the new night caches, plus whatever else we could find before we had to head home.
After grabbing the last few bits of info need we headed off to this bonus. We started the search where the GPS was pointing us and found a few possibilities but no cache. Eventually we read a few logs and realized that the co-ords are out and once we widened our search area HPG found something that resembled the hint more closely and came up with the goods. Grabbed the TB's.

Co-ordinates about 16m out by my reckoning (assuming I inputted them correctly) but a relatively easy find using the hint. Great container! And stocked with so many goodies. Took two TBs and dropped two. FP. TFTC.
After completing the rest of the series we made our way to GZ unfortunately for us I entered a couple of numbers wrong oops. Lucky the CO and his dog arrive to tell us we were in the wrong place . While Philip.Perry and blue steel were retrieving the cache I adjusted the waypoint lol.
A great well stocked cache thanks TNXPRO.
A great well stocked cache thanks TNXPRO.
We'd just finished at the green one and Davidsonclan had entered in the final waypoint so we were off. Another short stroll then the hunt began. We were getting into the thick of it - closing in on our coords, when a voice rang out from the track, "Where are you guys going? You're way off!"
Cheers TNXPro, with 2 waypoint coords incorrectly inputted I'm sure this cache would have been much much harder.... aye Bruce! A good sized cache full to the brim. Well done TNXPro, a great series and I'm glad to have these sorted.

Now at a 11.25pm we had the FTF on the green. This took us a whopping 2 and a half hours to get to here. Lol. With all the codes in hand now do you think I could get it right. Ended up in the wrong part of the park. Thinking while there why would he put it in private property. So revisit the caches again. No I have it right. Then discover my mistake and a doh moment. Second time we end up in the middle of a field. I told you this was a crazy night. Lol!! Then see my mistake again. Another doh moment. Third time lucky we arrive finally at correct gz. After a lot talk over cabbages I spot something. And there it is! And holy cow another clean log. I really thought someone was going to get there before us. So at 2.01am we have the second FTF. Lol!! What a crazy but fun night we had all thanks to you and your night caches. Cool cache that is stacked with goodies. Swapped some and swap 2 tb for 2. Thanks for the snakes we are totally enjoying them. Tftc
Got to GZ and my phone had me back and fourth, in the bushes, mud, along, back and all over the place. Sometimes it pays to not take things all too literally. I spent alot of time here trying to make a coleslaw from all types of ingredients, my patience finally paid off and WOW what a Bonus, love these, many thanks again TP. Retrieved a TB and one of my mates (pic attached), kids will absolutey love this. Another FP. Cheers
