Hmmm not sure what limit there is to looking and scratching but it ain't there
My first cache in SA! Here for a long weekend with my partner visiting family and decided to try and add some caches to my finds. After looking for quite awhile decided to look elsewhere and soon had cache in hand....TFTC
Lovely sunset tonight. Found between passing exercising muggles. Signed DL &GL to save space. Tftc
Oh my gosh this is true but until now I have not been able to talk about it.
Around 10 years ago I was working in Mt G and my local friends invited me to Harpic Day. But word got out and I was forced to sign a 10 page legal document that I would not reveal the truth....
Perhaps the statute of limitations is up now.....
I remember being told not to drink the local water for a month.
That still holds.
Not blue today.... of course... It is June

In town for a Radio Convention. What a great view. Thanks for placing the cache.
A quick find once a muggle moved on...how many times can you do up your shoelaces...Oh, no...what if it was a fellow geocacher, waiting for those two annoying muggles to move on? lol
Log book was wet. Signed and left a RITR log sheet. Great views. We are wondering if going anticlockwise was the easiest way.
Best story ever...might have to check Youtube for any video evidence. TFTC

Visiting Mount Gambier for a conference so had to make time for some caching in the area. Stopped at this beautiful lookout to admire the view. Just brilliant any time of the year. The colour was just about to turn but it still was quite brilliant and well worth the stop. Thanks for the fabulous story as to why the lake is blue? I would love to get invited one day to this very special occasion. The cache is all in good condition.
On our visit to Mount Gambier, a priority was to walk around the blue lake.
We had seen many beautiful photos of the lake over the years and were so looking forward to this adventure.
The lake, and all the views from the 360° we walked were different and spectacular.
Thank you for placing this cache here. Log signed.
A lovely 3D hide.

Ocw the Bebes on a walk around the Blue Lake. Looking at the images have a clue what to look for and with a bit of a search soon had CIH. Tftc
Attempted to find today with the geokids while on a daytrip of our holiday. However constant muggles kept us from reaching into any places that may hide the find.
Quick and easy to find, but harder to put back as lots of muggles arrived. Took the trackable to see if we can find an interesting place for it to travel to.
Down in the Mountains of Gambier for a bit of R&R (and much caching) before the lunacy of Christmas becends upon us.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Had a good laugh reading the description.
Now it all makes sense!
Found the cache just lying out, so tucked it away a bit better.

A morning to hunt for a cache or two before the expected storms arrive, with darkening skies and the vantage point view we would soon be getting wet, lucky we spotted this one quite quickly

We loved the container….
Unfortunately the log is soaked. We tried to quickly dry it in the late afternoon sun, but it’s still almost too wet to sign. Maybe the container plug needs a seal. There was no plastic bag either. That would have prevented the water ingress.
We managed to just sign it with the super duper pen! However, it does really need replacing.

Very glad to have a Teddie who braved the spiders and isn’t afraid to stick his hand in a bush

Thank you -Beaker-, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.
Long weekend caching!
Adding cache to FP for the view! It's the highest location at the lake!
I spotted the cache, but due to short people problems, my tall husband had to retrieve it. We waited for the muggles to shooooo, before reaching to grab the cache. All good here

Found by Rebel Acts.
with it being School holidays in Victoria I had some time spare to head to Millicent where I teamed up with the Empire for a few days caching in the area, we had a fantastic time exploring the area. Today was a nice easy day around Mt Gambier as I awaited for The Empire to arrive, once he arrived we headed around the Blue lake to do some Earth caches.
This is one of the caches found today. Fantastic location.
Thanks -Beaker- for the cache.

On my way to Millicent for a couple of days of caching goodness... I don't think I've been through Mount Gambier since 2011 so a stop was necessary! Meeting up with Rebel Acts, we were able to check out the sights in and around the Blue Lake area. Coffees in hand, it was time to do a lap of the lake. Rebel was all over this one! Thanks for the cache -Beaker-.

Marvellous Mt Gambier. Staying here for the next week on our trip around Australia. Thanks heaps for placing this cache here. A great place to put one. Took a while to find it, made it hard for myself looking away from the platform
South East trip with the geo-pup. Day 6, around Mt Gambier.

Why is the Blue Lake blue?
Hmmm not even sure if the powers that be even know. Maybe the truck carrying the blu loo fell in there years ago and all the flushes are still to get rid of it.
Thanks Beaker.

Good find. Came midday and less muggles about.
My son says the blue lake is blue because the spirits wanted to make a mirror of the sky and so they made a mirror lake - blue sky today!

SL at 1:10pm. Hot warm day to be finding caches with DarthVader69. Such a lovely view of the lake from here. Our theory is that the sky is blue - the water is blue. When it's overcast - not so blue. Very scientific. TFTC!
On a little weekend escape with Purrfect Di and Jack after a long week at work.
Why not go caching to wind down and mostly stay away from people [:o)]
So many dog walkers! But just enough time between them to admire the view and grope for a cache!
The blood sweat and tears of my true blue Mt G ancestors... that'd be it
Thanks heaps to -Beaker- for hiding and looking after this cache on our SA geo game map

Hunting around each and every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Plenty of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*

Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now everything's opening more - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thank you for reading all this addition to the log word count!
Into the second month of Twenty Twenty Too Enjoy!!!

Nice hide! The father of our tribe found it.
We think the lake is not blue at all, but a collective hallucination of a swamp that's actually bright orange.

Day Two of the delayed Millicent Mega, and with many attendees still yet to arrive, I made today the day for Mt. Gambier and Grant LGA caching. I did some study and then some work in Mt Gambier many years ago, and today was fun revisiting old haunts, now as a geocacher.
I did some basic obstetrics training at the old hospital which still stands on the north side of the crater rim. I would jog around the Blue Lake every day. This side of the crater would smell of onions, growing in the fields below. The lake isn’t very blue today, but great to be back.

Nicely hidden away in a spot that shouldn't get muggled. Found thanks to the hint.
Quick find while doing a lap of the lake. We were lucky enough to get a break in muggle traffic. Had a bit of a feel around and quickly signed the log. TFTC.
On my circuit of this amazingly blue lake I stopped to find this cache Not sure if I subscribe to your blue theory, perhaps the sky falls in on a clear day staining the water blue and slowly evaporates over the following months. That is certainly more eco friendly than tossing in blue bags

Found on a weekend visit to the locale. A couple of false starts but the smiley appeared. TFTC.
