Enjoying a Sunday drive and some good weather we stopped to find and sign your cache. Thanks Richie3Blue3Geokids for the cache.
Our last find on the way back to the campground from Balldale. A quick find, only hampered by the long grass that we probably could have avoided. Signed as DuckNN on the crowded log. Thanks for the cache series!
Found it! Led us on a merry chase. Log has seen better days, as has the cache. Thanks for the OTB series.
Out with Geowife and Geodogs exploring the area. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
We weren’t too sure if this road was open, closed, or opened to locals as it appeared like the closure signs had been moved aside and a local resident only sign had fallen over. We proceeded with caution and whilst the road along here is in pretty average condition there were no closures or works happening today. All quiet which made for great L plate hours for the teen!
As we started this road from the opposite end, this end really had an obvious diversion in place so maybe it’s best not to access the caches along here.
This cache had a super strong magnet. No bag and the log was someone’s receipt which is a bit damp. May need checking soon. Cheers.

Huge guardian still in place!! Another smaller one at the other end.
Gorgeous sunny day for a drive. We were heading to Balldale but the road is only open to local traffic, so headed along the MV Hwy to Howlong instead.

A quick find on my last day in thw Rutherglen area before heading home to QLD. TFTC.
Time to leave Rutherglen.
Our aim today was to reach Canberra, pick up a LGA at Albury, attend the event and CITO and anything else we could in between.
Today caching and travelling with RoddyC.
Tricked me. Did not look at other logs.

In Rutherglen for the MEGA. A lovely, little relaxed town. Caching was the same... relaxed & took each day as it came.
Today I cached with GoodLook, TheDame & feathertop and we stamped logs as the Fabulous Randoms to save space.

I was fortunate enough to be invited on a roadtrip from Adelaide to attend the Rutherglen mega. Across the week we cached with many different teams and signed the log various ways, but most often my own team name/ initials, or as Fabulous Randoms. I spent most of our time with GoodLook, LiB and feathertop, but also teamed up with AnyMules, Brisal, micaparamedic and others.
What a beautiful area of the world to explore via the lens of geocaching.
Thank you very much for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A new day a new adventure, loving caching in the area! Sadly have to work tomorrow so making the most of today. Weather seems to hold and looking better than yesterday. A few more in the Rutherglen area and visiting all the wineries before starting the long drive home.

We planned to get down to Rutherglen to try and collect all the caches in the area before the mega so we could relax a little more as Mega’s always seem to be a little hectic. With the Canberra day long weekend on the horizon a plan was hatched, and accommodation was found. Our attack group ended up consisting of Rapidlywild, DARKSIDEDAN, Sui_001 and only half of the FurfacesLL team as the other member is broken, seems we are taking turns. We ended up collecting all the trails we had intended to do and many others in varying shapes and sizes and types.
After finishing up the Brolga Bill's Bike Trail (BBBT), the Brolga Bill's Puzzles (BBP) and the Rutherglen Beginner Challenges with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506 we went our own ways. We spent the rest of the day driving around collecting everything and anything we came across. All caches this afternoon were signed AB+G's (Adventure Boys and Girls) This team consisted of DSD, Sui_001, Rapidlywild and myself. A very enjoyable and successful afternoon of caching.

Plans were put in place for a Rutherglen attack over the Canberra day long weekend with the FurfacesLL, DSD and Sui. We spent 4 days away from home and collected a number of caches of various varieties.
After attacking the Brolga Bill's Bike Trail (BBBT), the Brolga Bill's Puzzles (BBP) and the Rutherglen Beginner Challenges with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506, we split and went our own ways. We spent the rest of the day driving around collecting the Ladders series, trads, multis, virtuals and basically anything that came in our path. It was an enjoyable day caching around Rutherglen. This afternoons caches were all signed as AB+G/AB&G (Adventure Boys and Girls) representing myself, FurfacesLL, DSD and Sui_001.

It all started with the computer. Had he known what was to follow, he would have never logged on that day. But the truth was there was no way to know what was about to happen. So Dave pressed the start button, the computer booted up, the screen came alive, and everything Dave knew to be true no longer was.
The day had begun on a bright note. The sun finally peeked through the rain for the first time in a week, and the birds were singing in its warmth. There was no way to anticipate what was about to happen. It was a worst-case scenario and there was no way out of it.
The amber droplet hung from the branch, reaching fullness and ready to drop. It waited. While many of the other droplets were satisfied to form as big as they could and release, this droplet had other plans. It wanted to be part of history. It wanted to be remembered long after all the other droplets had dissolved into history. So it waited for the perfect specimen to fly by to trap and capture that it hoped would eventually be discovered hundreds of years in the future.

Making the 3 and a half hour drive from Barham (where my mum lives) to Wodonga to see my kids and grandkids for Christmas. Being only two caches off 1800 and with a calendar spot to fill today I wanted to grab a couple before getting to Wodonga. A quick park and grab here took me to 1800. Hopefully the next 200 can be obtained, let's say before the end of March. Nice hide TFTC

Area has had a recent grass fire so I was doubtful if I would find a micro, but what do you know, I signed it and replaced.
Well what a delightful day emerged from last night which had a little rain.
We decided to head to the Corowa and Wahgunyah area and find some caches along the way.
There was a little evidence of the overnight rain but most roads and tracks were generally dry and the sunshine appeared and in the end we had around 23 degrees with a gentle mild breeze.
We found a very interesting mixture of caches today and really enjoyed the various locations and hide.
Thanks to Richie3Layla3Emma for this hide, we found 2 caches here, One is a delightful magnetic and one is an old and tired plastic. The CO should check this one out and remove the one that is no longer required.

Travelling north is via a rather convoluted route with a few detours, some back roads and even some backtracking as I went from cache to cache, and finding some amazing scenery, stunning old trees all made to look rather magical with the haze from the recent fires which is not a good thing. An easy find here as I headed towards Balldale but a little confused to find 2 caches here. I signed both just to make sure May need to remove one of them TFTC Ritchie3Layla3Emma

Murray River December 2018. I headed away with Fitzy_1965 for a weekend caching towards the Murray River near Corowa. We targeted a few series and as many DNFs from previous trips as possible. We did of course generate even more this time, but overall had a great time despite a sharp thunderstorm on Sunday morning. This was the last for th3e day before camping nearby along the Murray River.
