The Attended logs now match the logbook, and all the TBs have been retrieved, so it's now time to archive this event.
Thanks to everyone who attended. See you again next year!

Thanks to everyone who came to the event. I hope you enjoyed it
Thanks also to those who were able to help me set up and pack down. Your assistance was greatly appreciated!
If you couldn't make it, or couldn't stay for the whole event, or just want to re-watch the submissions again, Groundspeak have now released the entire film on YouTube.

There's a lot of comments on BookFace and the GC forums suggesting that the Australian entry "Geocaching is free" is the People's favourite entry. Do you agree?

Sorry to disconcert you Etherlord - that was certainly not intended. The cache page said the event was at 1.30. Anyway, we were happy to be of assistance and it was good to have some meet & greet time before the show.
*text*Just remembered to log this .. It was great to get together do some geo talk and then see the amazing work that the Producers and their teams have put together! AWesomme We all had out fav. , even if it a little "parochial" and just across the ditch!
Thank you T for organizing this anhd gathering the films etc and using such a suitable venue for the after noons showing.
Many thanks

Was a great catch up and viewing. Thanks for the hospitality - the popcorn went down a treat. Bring on next year. My fav was defiantly the "geocaching is free".
I'm looking forward to this, but still waiting for the mini-me to wake up to get ready to set off. We are intending to spend a few hours in and around Palmy both before and after the event if anyone has any Caches they want to do that require company?
Thanks so much Thomas for putting on this excellent event. The venue was perfect, you provided refreshments, and the short geocaching films provided the entertainment while we enjoyed the company of fellow cachers.
Our favourite film was the Australian "Geocaching is Free" with its lovely ironic sense of humour, and a theme that's easy to relate to! TFTE

Thanks for organising this great event, it was my first GIFF event. The film finalists covered a range of different geocaching subjects and I found a few familiar scenarios being acted out on screen. I thought three of the films were a bit confusing and probably lost in translation and one or two films were a little bit long. My favourite was “Geocaching is Free” by lat&long junkie.
My first GIFF event in a year of firsts for both my lad and myself. Good to see a nice turnout, and to catch up with Cachers some of whom I've been lucky enough to meet at previous events, and some I've been wanting to meet. A quite diverse range of films on offer, and obviously some cultural differences occasionally don't translate well to screenplay, but I would have to say that the last offering "Little Geo-rge" gave me the most laughs, and Geocaching Day in Vilnius gave me a few pointers for some clever little hides in urban areas. Thank you Thomas for putting this on.
Thanks Etherlord Clan for hosting another enjoyable GIFF Event. Dropped off two TBs and picked up two TBs.
Thanks Etherlord Clan for another very well organised Giff event.
Overall we think the standard of the movies weren't as good as previous years, but a few of them stood out for us. Our favourite would have to be "geocaching is free" . But we also enjoyed "little geo-rge and one we can't remember the title of, which was about trying to find a suspect placing mysterious boxes everywhere.
As always it was great to catch up with everyone too.
Thanks for all your work setting this up EC.

Attended this GIFF today with TwigNZ. Had a catch up with many Cachers whom I've met before at past events. Thanks to Etherlord for hosting and everyone who attended.
The 3 of us had a wonderful time at the event today. This is the first anniversary of the first event we ever attended, so it was nice to see so many of the people we've met over the past year! We enjoyed the films (and the popcorn!) and agree unanimously that Geocaching is Free was the best of the bunch. We'll probably also be dreaming tonight of visiting Lithunaia; Vilnius looked like a lovely place to visit, as well as to cache!
Thank you Etherlord for another great event!

Our first social outing with Jamogen Jr. Thankfully she slept through it all. Easy peasy. thanks to everyone for our little pressie and card for her. So sweet! Loved the films we saw. Our fave was definitely ‘Geocaching is Free’ thanks for hosting and great location too!
Thanks everyone for coming.
I felt a little disorganised when people arrived at 1.20pm for a 2pm start, but thank you for pitching in and helping set up the chairs, etc.
Yay for popcorn!

This was the first GIFF event that we've been able to attend and the bonus was that it was a dot-day for us too. An interesting collection of short films from around the world with some interesting and clever hides. Certainly some inspiration and plenty of light-hearted pokes at taking this hobby of ours too seriously. Thanks for organising the event Etherlord Clan.
Was hoping to maybe make this one but Mrs RRR back on crutches. Hope Mrs Etherlords on the mend from her recent injury...have fun guys. Chz RRR
That dreaded word 'WORK' is preventing me from attending, otherwise would love to have come down
Bugger I won't be able to attend this year. Forgot about it and now looking after a certain lighthouse for the weekend, so no chance of even sneaking down.
I'm VERY disappointed. Have fun. I'm sure it'll be up to your usual high standard Thomas

An event on a dot-day? Looks like a delegation from All7ofusNZ needs to be in attendance...
The finalists have been announced, and the GIFF trailer is out!

A prior event will prevent us from this one...hope everyone has a fabulous time. Drive safe this long weekend. Cheers RRR
Hopefully we'll be able to make it. It's always a lot of fun to see these short movies.
I enjoyed this event last year and am hoping to make it again this year with probably 1 little person
Won't get to this (will see the films back here in Welly) but was letting someone else know about it. As pointed out by someone else earlier is it Saturday 4th as per listing and not Sunday 5th, text shows Saturday 5th? Important that we give them correct info as they are a visiting cacher from overseas so may be planning around it.
Thanks Robert. I thought I'd corrected the date after geodatum's comment...
Date now updated!

Will do my very best to get there this time, there's no weddings scheduled so should be fine.
All 3 of us are looking forward to attending! Thank you for hosting again.
(Also, not to nitpick, but your descriptions says 2016 finalists.)
