My life has gotten too busy to continue to cache and maintain the hides I have
**#17,026**
That must have been some exchange student to have a reserve named after her!!
Not a straight forward find here but I eventually got the correct section of the fence to check out and spotted the hide.
Nicely done, good to get this one ticked off!!

Feels like a long time since I've been caching. So after picking my son from his friend's house, we came to this nearby one. I must admit, I've been avoiding this because of the DNFs and the last time it was found. Nevertheless, since I'm here, might as well.
On arrival, I had somewhat of a guess where it might be but soon realize, why there's been so many DNFs. I did notice that someone was behind the fence, and with most other caches, I would shy away and just leaving it. However reading the description, there was some link between the occupants and the CO so I put my shyness away and called out for some help. The lovely man played hot and cold with me, but while I was looking for the cache, he started to mention things, I weren't exactly sure if it was related to this cache or not. Was it a mystery cache? No! Turned out he just wanted to have a conversation about his ancestry which he was very proud of. Thomas Kendall, he said! my 4th grandfather! I promised him, I will look him up when I got home. Then, a lady I assumed was his wife, said "make sure to tell him about Ivan the Terrible!" I did eventually find the cache and signed but having a conversation with these 2 (rather the husband and the wife adding topics) was like an episode of Home Improvement where Tim is having an "over the fence" conversation with his neighbour, kiwi style! Also not to forget a certain link to our current PM! Most interesting!
A fave point here because of these two lovely people, which made my day most interesting! My son and I played on the flying fox for a little bit before taking our leave. Thanks for the cache!

after a big nudge from the CO we finally made the find after the 3rd attempt
Didn't have enough time to locate for this one because there was to many muggles and got question by one to say what I was doing but with a quick reply I said I am picking up rubbish. The cords were bouncing a lot though.

I have checked on the cache and all it where it's meant to be. The tress have recently had a haircut (in the past few days) so it should make it easier to access the fence.
2nd attempt at this one, had a pretty good search and nothing, trees made it very difficult to get close to fence, let alone look.
Co-ords were pointing 5m past the fence in to the yard, maybe they should be re-adjusted.
Maybe a better hint, like top of fence, or GL or middle rail?

Did not find this today but I am sure it it there. Young geocacher didnt have the patience to search all the possible hiding places.
I was out in the area with Jag50 and Nette1234 for the day as we planned to do Orana Island once the tide had dropped. What a sneaky hide! We decided a systematic search was the way to go and Mrs Jag came up trumps. The even more difficult part was returning the cache to it's lid
On a girls day out with Merlot58 and Nette1234 we detoured to find any unfound caches in the area on our way to Orana island. With 3 sets of eyes and a systematic search it didn't take long for us to find this cache. A muggle walking his dog in the park gave us some funny looks as he walked passed us, but we told him we were looking for a geocache and so he carried on through the park.
We had spent an enjoyable afternoon catching up with part of the family who live out at Karaka. On the way home we stopped in at Marybeth Reserve to pick up a cache find. At first we struggled to locate the cache then read some of the logs. Used the spot with a couple of missing boards to get an eye into the correct orientation to see the cache. Cunning hide. Thanks.
Today was another attempt to collect all the caches in the Papakura area. Know we will have to come back yet again. Got beaten by the tide for 3 of the caches in area. SLTFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... We were keen to investigate the nighttime event in Totara Park. In the meantime, we needed a few distractions to amuse ourselves. Finding some caches should do the trick...
We were very lucky to have the park to ourselves. It meant that we could disappear into the greenery without having to feel bad about it. We were also able to position ourselves as awkwardly as we liked. That’s how we spotted this very well hidden cache... Thanks FrogyBeCaching and TFTC.

Time for another wander round while my wife stays with some friends. I was a little lonely today but still managed a good haul which included this little cache. I wasn’t expecting to find a frogybecaching hide up here and after this one I have now found 100% of your hides lol. Found quickly thanks to a good hint, accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers & TFTC
This one took me a while. The hint was clear, but still quite some searching to do and I didn't want to harm the bushes... Also take care, this seems to have been a famous corner for playing children to p.. lately, I guess. Don't thread into... Found on the first morning after the school holidays. I treated myself with caching on a nice and sunny day of spring. Aaaah. Thanks for hiding. Congrats on your first placement. TFTC
No go for me and FMZ today, gave the area a reasonable amount of time and so departed for more greener pastures.
Probably there but we didnt have enough patience. Coords pointing 8 or 9 metres the other side of the fence.
I had work this morning, down Manukau way, but when that finished up in the early afternoon I was free to find some hides before making the return journey back home. The rain stayed away until dark so I was able to make the most of the remaining daylight. I parked up at the end of Marybeth Place and entered Marybeth Reserve. It was a short walk to GZ and I got to searching. Tried a few spots before getting the right angle to spy the cache. Then it was a matter of making the retrieval; done more by touch than eye. Cheers for the cache placement!
put a call out to previous finders and was joined by Mr Hemaludy to no avail. Luckily hot chocolate was on offer on such a cold night so retired to the Hemaludys for refreshments.
Was keen to get this cache on my way to the Bay of Plenty for the weekend.
It certainly wasn't a park n grab!
As a bonus I even got to meet the CO's father through the fence!
Thanks FrogyBeCaching !

Was on the way to HeMaLuDy's house when a reminder came through that we needed a cache of the day...oops forgot...this was close enough so we raced across.
Had an idea of where it would be hidden but couldn't find it...looked high, low, up, down no luck...PAF and the HeMaLuDy's came to our rescue....oh there it is....we had the right idea but the wrong side of things....
Log signed and we continued on...
Thanks for the cache.

Yay able to get a smiley here on our second search. Last time black clouds were rolling in and had to leave. This time after a long search we finally found it. Kids were happy to have a long play. Simple hide but tricky to find especially with muggles about.

Found the cache a little while ago but wasn't able to log my find. Had to look in a gap in the broken fence to locate where the cache actually was as I wasn't daring enough to feel for it with all the spiders around. Tfth
Came here on two occasions, the first there was too many muggles to even attempt a search. The second time I came at a more quieter hour, had a bit of a search. Co-ord's don't seem to be that accurate, didn't find it after a good look. Then a muggle turned up and gave me suspicious glances. Decided to leave this to a later date. I have a few more ideas just couldn't search long enough because of the muggle.
Took the kids to the park to have a play while I hunted for this cache. Very interesting hide, look forward to seeing more from you!

Benn outta caching for a while....was suprised and dissapointed not to get ftf as it is literally 100m down the road from home. Have oftenpondered a cache here thinking of under the flying fox or biinging a ladder down and putting it in one of the big trees. Never considered where this cache is place.....but good spot and didnt take too long.
Mrs HeMaLuDy has been having issues with her notifications for some time, and did not receive a notification for this cache. However, we are part of an active group of cachers and a message came through that there was a new local cache published. Exciting! Only 250 metres from home. It would have been a quick attempt at FTF if it wasn't for the fact that we were in Drury for one of the mini-cachers soccer games and could not leave until the end of the game. Mrs HeMaLuDy and darthcacher1 waited until the final whistle and jumped in the car (leaving Mr HeMaLuDy to deal with the final bits an pieces after the game) and headed back to see if there was still a blank log. As we pulled up, darthcacher1 said "a man just came out of the bushes, he's gone back in, it looks like Agazo". So out we raced hoping he hadn't found it yet. We did a joint search for a while, before Agazo finally came up with the cache, and a beautifully blank log. Thanks for placing a cache here, we were eying up this park for a placement because it is close to our new home and are pleased someone has done it (as we take a while to getting around to things) and learn a little about the history of the park.
I was really worried about getting here for the FTF since there are many cachers who live close by. I figured that HeMaLuDy would be at soccer and the rest of Team SEAC still in their pajamas, so I flew out the door as soon as the notification came in.
At GZ, I had several ideas as to where to look. Since the coords seemed to be a bit off, I widened my search pattern, but still found nothing. I had to rethink where to search a couple of times. In the mean time soccer practice must have finished as HeMaLuDy and DarthCacher1 arrived. For some reason, with the extra eyes, the cache was now found fairly quickly. TFTC.
