I visited the place... checked this geocache. Unfortunately, the tree is gone. Photo attached.

Was hoping for 3 from 3 previous dnfs but 2 outta 3 ain't bad. Still no luck on this one and area shows signs of massive clean up and regen since my last visit some months back.
Strange ... did not find the cache but found a written log on rolled up paper on the ground. Assume some serious gardening has taken place! Odd but still claiming it as a find
It was already a bit dark but I think it might have gone missing some of the little signs were knocked down
No luck finding this cache today. The garden has been cut back. CO needs to check - see attached photo
Thanks anyway turtleknights
Thanks anyway turtleknights
A dusk walk with my niece and nephew. No luck tonight, will try again soon.
Took Hoppy and some muggles to show them caching and how containers are hidden. Both the caches were quite hard so who knows if they like it and catch on.
Searched a little while before we spotted the small container. Not sure if the name tag is still on the plant.
Thank you turtleknights for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

TFTC Tried this one previously and was unsuccessful as light was fading fast. Very pleased to have found it today.
Found on an after work, evening geomission
After DNFing this one a while ago, I thought I'd swing by and give it another crack. Searched numerous spots at first before venturing in a little further and it wasn't until I turned around and shone my torch down at a different angle I saw it! Wasn't expecting it to be at that height!
Thanks for the tricky hide, turtleknights. Good to turn this frown upside down!

Visiting Canberra and staying in Weston. Took three attempts to find this cache. What an interesting cache!! The gardens are also lovely even in winter. TFTC
Nope, no joy for me here-too good for me tonight. Searched all through the foliage with the torch but couldn't spot it. I'll be back!
Thanks anyway, turtleknights
Thanks anyway, turtleknights
This is one of my last hides left in Weston Creek.... though new ones keep coming out.
The hide is tricky, simply as it is a hanging nano.... not easy stuff. But, I persisted and eventually came up with the goods. Previous logs contained some great hints.

I was happy to be here with a previous finder as I would never have ventured in here with the admonition to keep off the gardens. I'd say that cache is well and truly in a garden bed.
Thanks turtleknights

With the help of an earlier log and knowing what to look for the cache was surprisingly quickly found thank you. And a beautiful spot here too.
Beautiful peaceful spot. Found the little blighter after a good scan of surroundings. Tftc!
Lovely!
This is one of the reasons I geocache...to find little pockets of beauty that would otherwise remain secret and unappreciated
Thanks

Found on our second attempt Came back with more experience and less focus on the latin hint. We spent a lot of time on that one particular bush last time! TFTC
I had to come back twice to find this one and brought Roarts to help me. Second time lucky. Tftc.
This one tested my aging eyes in the failing light! Took some finding, but got it in the end TFTC!
I spent ages here looking at many trees several times. I was just about to give up and spotted the cache. No log, so I added and signed a piece of paper. I think the hint was distracting - was looking for that tree/bush. Found something quite different.
A nice area.
Thanks,
A nice area.
Thanks,
Tftc! A top spot. A really beautiful place even in the dark. There is no log in the container, and no sign of it close by.
This one took a few visits and now that I have found it I don't know how I missed it. TFTC
The cache is definitely ok, you're looking for a nano bullet tied to a bush, ignore the bits of paper shreds and the large empty sistema
With my geowife and head there quick found and log on ( wet log paper) placed back where it belong.. TFTC turtleknights
DNF 832 overall and first of two today.
Lots of people around but I can't blame them for my ineptitude...

After three attempts (and some help) we finally found the micro. Above the rocks, below the leaves. Stick to the worn path; no need to trample the undergrowth. Tricky find. Well hidden, but easy to spot. GPS was off so had to widen our search. Latin clue was helpful to confirm we were in the right area but we never the found the exact sign.
Finally. I called a truce with the mossies. I will not go back to the garden and they will not bite me anymore. Only called after I found the cache. Rather tricky in the end. Man do those mozzies bite.
Thanks to coybear2000 for the hint!
Thanks for the cache.

Hmm. second DNF. But this time is was extra challenging, the mozzies where murderous. I must have killed 50, but 100 more bit me. I'll be back with DEET.
Very tricky, hard to spot and the mozzies were lethal but got there in the end after about a 20 minute hunt. The coords were, for me, very accurate and the hint, in particular the first part, very helpful after I had worked out how to apply it. TFTC turtleknights.
Found with Coybear2000. A little knowledge can be a hindrance. Having checked the hint before heading to this one, we'd seen some photos on-line, so we were blinded by certain features. We spent a good 15mins searching fruitlessly around particular plants. C read a few previous logs and we were looking in certain areas. Then we decided to re-check our GPSs and these took us to a spot where the first part of the hint finally made sense. Once we'd re-interpreted what we'd read in previous logs we quickly spotted the hide. TFTC.
In the area to visit a friend with Trodectus, we had done other caches in the area previously, so today was the go for this one. Parked nearby and walked to GZ, T had previously looked up the vegetation in the hint so we stated looking at these as they were in the GZ area. Turns out GZ was a large area according to our GPS and we were looking at the wrong plants. T found something that fitted with first part of clue and cache was quickly found. Log signed and returned. A second attempt there, armed with information from a previous finder. It still took a few minutes to find, and then my pen ran out, so back to the car for another and back to sign and replace. TFTC.

Out with Youban and AddictedGamer. Finally found this one after one night being frightened off by strange noises in the dark, then the second time my phone had me 10mtrs away searching the wrong group of the hinted and finally muggled out of searching further. But today we were much closer on the iPhone and found it higher and on a plant I thought was called something else??? Tftc!!!
Out with Dty73 & AddG on our way home. Have had a go at this one earlier but just couldn’t find it. Although my iPad had us in the wrong place for GZ we broadened our search area and finally made the find. I think that the Botanical name used in the hint should be checked if it is indeed intended as a hint. Kutgw
Over at daughter's place tonight - before her house gets packed up. Enjoyed the walk to GZ, albeit in a very light drizzle. But it took quite a while to find the container. I started at a logical object, but after reading the first bit of the hint, finally found the right spot. TFTC turtleknights
I had been contemplating placing a cache in Featherstone Gardens for a couple of years due to the significance it holds for me and many others, but Turtleknights beat me to it!
I started studying at the CIT School of Horticulture in 1995, finishing 3 years later with a cert III in Horticulture (landscaping). In my final year I took an elective unit in arboriculture which I found fascinating and I ended up enrolling in the certificate in arboriculture course. All these years later and I'm still swinging around in trees!
In 2006 I returned as an evening student and completed my cert IV in horticulture (landscape). The next year, I went back to the beginning and started all over again - this time focusing on propagation and nursery operations. 4 years of night classes later (the school of horticulture having moved to Bruce by then) I finished my cert IV in horticulture (nursery).
Throughout my learning journey I have had many truly excellent teachers, and benefited from the awesome facility that these gardens were. Also, in my first nursery class I meet the lady who is now my partner.
Thank you, Turtleknights for highlighting this location!

What a beautiful spot. I followed the meandering path and spent some time admiring the gardens before getting down to business. It took a little while to find but persistence paid off. The description and hint helped to narrow it down.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing me to this lovely garden, turtleknights

Found at least one cache on each day for the last week, feeling a bit down, and there are a few new caches not that far from where I am currently working... So... Decided that I could do with some "Geocaching therapy" - might do the "daily cache" (or 5 thing for a few more days... so - slight detour for this one on my way home
TFTC - another odd little corner I never would have known was here...
I wonder how many others of us unscrewed the top of that sprinkler head? lol
(no, it isn't the cache... and I screwed it back on how it was)
Am sitting here in the rotunda typing my log (saving as a draft - the one thing I don't like about the official app - visiting multiple travel bugs/etc is a pain in the proverbial - far easier to go on the website later, and log trackable visits at the same time as I post the log)
Hmmm... might even do a 10 minute mindfulness meditation while I am here, if the mozzies don't carry me away... The sign says i can park for 4 hours... lol
(Later: think it was a bit longer than 10 minutes, but not 4 hours - lol)

Great location we would not of known about if not for caching .
Had the place to ourselves and will be back for a picnic one day in the near future .
Tricky hide that must elude plenty .
Found late Sun .
Many thanks to turtleknights.

Out on a run around town with fitzy before the Tuggeranong CITO event this afternoon.
This one is close to home but I hadn't visited before now. Took a little while to hone in on it as we were trying not to walk off the path. Eventually fitzy came up with the goods and we had our name in the log.
Thanks turtleknights....neat little spot.

14646. Found on a Holiday Monday meander around Canberra with Sol de Lune.
With a few hours before the CITO down south, a plan was hatched with SDL to clean up a few Trads around the place - especially ones that would normally have a high muggle factor. Next one for the day. We parked up the hill and walked down into the Secret Garden. Took a bit of careful searching and then I spotted the little sucker !Signed the log, returned the cache, and headed back to the car for the next one.
Thanks turtlenights !! Nice spot !

Out with Dty73 and Youban on our own trail of caches. What an unlucky DNF, had to call a previous finder but still could not find and with time running out we left and will come back another day TFTC!!!
This is cruel...!
The first part of the hint is gold though, very helpful, use it!
The second part of the hint however...? Not sure how that is true. I would disregard that part if you wanna find it.
Took a while to find but once I was finally in the right spot it only took a few minutes to spot the bugger.

Been circling this place, looking everywhere. My gps keeps bouncing around. Not sure where I'm spoused to look, or what I'm looking for.
Thank you TK, wouldn't have found it without your help. Well, maybe I would have, but not this century. TNLNSL TFTC
#7657 - 13:30; Headed out for a bit of a minimission around Weston Creek to collect a few of the caches which have appeared since my last visit. This was my last stop and despite checking everything I though was a possibility, then checking the hint and rechecking things, I resorted to a PAF. I'm not sure whether there's been any cache creep, but the location where I found the cache didn't quite match in my view. All good in the end though and my name is on the log. TFTC turtleknights
For my end of week after work cache I headed down to Weston. I remember walking around near here in forest. I am sure it is better now. Oh well, nice park and a sneaky invisible micro here.
Thanks.

Sorry for the late log! Grabbed a few with Angel on this sunny Sunday morning. Last find of the morning, and a lovely surprise to find this tucked away garden. Needed to carefully circle to find this one. TFTC
Cache 2955 on 10/9/17
Out on an early morning Sunday caching mission around Curtin with Bobl27. Took a little while, but got there in the end without trampling too many plants. The hint was useful and helped avoided unnecessary trampling. A lovely little secret garden, a fav point from me.
Thanks turtleknights for the cache!

Well that wasn't so bad - once I read the hint. All is in good condition. TFTC
Ahhh another night caching with StrangeTrousers. We return to complete what we had started and check out some more caches in Weston Creek/Stromlo. Have been very lucky to have a caching buddy for these fun night caching adventures especially for any of the caches that require “Height” as one of tonight’s did.
Will need to come back and check this place out during the daylight. Interesting plant to attach the cache too - think it might be a weed?

Had a few minutes to spare after lunch and it was nearby to home. After 10 minutes went for the hint, hmmm it is in Latin I wonder what the translation means; up high, in the corner, under a rock ? Another 5 minutes and I had the hint worked out then searching, searching searching searching before eventually spying. TFTC.
Found on a great day of caching to relax after the end of test week at college. When I arrived at the parking spot for GZ, I was gobsmacked. I had no idea that such a beautiful park was being developed in North Weston. I am 99% sure that I will be doing landscape design/architecture next year at university, so to see such a beautifully designed park was another solidifying inspiration for me to continue persuing that dream. Once I arrived at a very quiet GZ, I was initially looking in the completely wrong area for the first few minutes, but after carefully reading the hint, I was in a better position where it took a few more minutes to spot the very sneakily tiny cache. As TE says, it is a little bit of a shame that this cache involves trampling over the newly grown plants. Regardless, this experience was - personally - quite inspiring. TFTC turtleknights!

Out for a bit of night caching with CBRChic on a chilly evening with a 1/2 moon to help. Tonight we returned to finish off Curtin then ducked over to Weston Creek/Stromlo to grab a few there.
This really isn't a great place to be in the dark. There were thorny bushes about that are not easily seen in the dark. I bled for this cache. Once again CC made the find.

What a delightful place. I thought through geocaching that I'd been to every corner in Canberra, but today I have discovered these gardens that I never knew existed! Wonderful. Some plants here are just starting to bloom/blossom, but I will need to come back in a couple of weeks, to see them in full action! In fact I will need to come back in summer too, as I expect it to be amazing when all the trees have their leaves! Have attached some pictures of the gardens. The cache itself was quite hard to find! And it's a pity that one needs to walk into the foliage - I hope that this area doesn't get flattened by cachers hunting for the cache! But other than that, a great cache, and a favourite from me, for showing me a new delightful place. Thanks TK.

Was a bit suprised to find the area empty but a bit of a look and soon found ourselves in the right spot using the hint. In the fading light though this little cache was quite evil hiding in the shadows with us walking around in circles missing it each time! Was lucky to have a torch with us though so eventually got into the right place and spotted it. Tricky! Thanks for the cache Turtleknights, another hidden place that without the cache I wouldn't have known was here, a secret garden indeed.
