We ave often looked at the towers on the mountain as we drove past on the freeway, thinking that we should make the time to come up here. In past trips we have always had the trailer, or been under time constraints, but not so today. After visiting the trig points and the lookout we detoured past tgis picnic area for a quick snack and game of exploding kittens. It was a very nice spot, and the mozzie were slightly less annoying than they were at the lookout. The young one was confused about why both the hand printa were from the left hand, made it so he couldn't put a hand in both. Thanks for the virtual cache!
Day 4 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. Definitely taking it easy for a day or two, after 2 earlier days of hardcode geocaching. This place was recommended by fellow geocachers so I came here to discover. Stunning rainforest and informative stories. Thanks handlel for this Virtual geocache. And my 2160th find
Beautiful national park, saw lots of birds and heard lots of koalas. A special spot.
A pleasant drive along a rough track brought me to this lovely location and some history of the area was learnt. Answers have been sent to the CO and a favourite point awarded. Thank you handlel for this cache which brought me here.
Lovely spot down here in the valley Stopped here to do our third cache for the day took the photo TFTC
This is one of the most amazing forestry locations. The bird song there was stunning. Thank you for showing this area to us.
I was very grateful for the waypoint provided letting me know which way to go to get this cache. I may have questioned my choice to go after it with a 2-wheel car when I drove through water and down narrow roads, but when I arrived on site, I was happy I had. I loved the history, the beauty, all of it. Answers have been sent to the CO. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:I was visiting from the U.S. and had a goal of driving all the way up the east coast starting in Melbourne and ending in Port Douglas over a few weeks. This day started in Byron Bay and ended in Brisbane. The distance was doable and I didn't load my list with caches. It was a good day. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but I do appreciate you.
My golly gosh what a stunning area. I will be back many times to explore. You could feel the power and spirituality of the area of the area as you entered the forests. I didnt need to put my hand on a sculpture to feel it. A big thumbs up for bringing me to an amazing bit of country. Absolutely loved it and the story attached. Thankyou for bringing me here. Tftc
Have been meaning to come here for a while. When we tried to visit in mid 2022 the road was flooded and nearly completely washed out and hadn't really had a good opportunity since. The amount of mozzies are unreal, so many of the little suckers, repellant is a must to avoid a very itchy few days Always nice to get a virtual, hope groundspeak continue with the biennial releases so they become more and more common, they are especially useful for national parks where physical hides might not be approved. Have sent the answers, hope they pass muster. Thanks for the cache
Wonderful location, mozzies meant little opportunity to spend any time exploring. Tftc
Thank you for placing this and for your comprehensive notes because I couldn't stay long. I wasn't prepared for the mozzies. I should have read the previous log!
What a wonderful place! I spent a bit of time here just absorbing the atmosphere and getting deafened by the cicadas. The mozzies were in force as well. Took many photos but this is the required one . Tftc fav point awarded
This is such a fantastic piece of work. The detail is amazing and puts the story into great context. Thank you for the work you put in to this Geocache and to all the locals who keep this place and story alive.
I visited this Virtual cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I am heading back home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays good for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there. Thanks handlel for the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
We recently moved to nearby Macksville and love exploring the area, 2nd time in the NP and first visit here, thank for bringing us here, lovely spot
My second detour into a national park today while heading up the highway to Queensland ... both times for a virtual cache. This is a truly wonderful place to visit, made even better by the opportunity to learn a little more of our "history".
Thanks for bringing me here to this special place ... and a great use of a virtual reward. It ticks all my boxes so gets a fave point from me.

Time for another solo road trip. This time it'll be three days from Brisbane to Dorrigo, Port Macquarie, Tamworth, Quirindie, Armidale, Grafton and back. All to find a few choice geocaches, see some places I've never been before, and others I've seen but too briefly. Today I just need to get to Kempsey, but there's a lot of boring kilometres to rack up. Thankfully, New South Wales does the A1 properly; fast, smooth and with often rest areas. Plus today is a lovely day out and there's interesting geocaches to stop at.
By now I am over 350km from home, and having done a big detour up to Dorrigo and back, it's now late afternoon and clear to me that I'll be arriving at the motel tonight well in the dark. Next up, this is on my list. It sure looked interesting from the listing, so was keen to check it out. Driving through a National Park, I figured there may be some dirt, and in my tiny hatchback, we'll have to just gauge as we go.
Neatly, Google Maps directed me to the same entrance as the waypoint, so I hit the dirt and took off. The road was good, so I could carry on with some speed and just had to dodge a couple of potholes and washouts. Really though, very possible. Including the wooden bridge and creek crossing with no more than an inch of ater over the top.
Arriving at the picnic area, I was disappointed to see a large family occupying the space. I wandered over and explained I just wanted to check out the artwork. As it turned out, one of the ladies knew the stories of the land, welcomed me and invited me to enjoy the area. A lucky encounter - and now I knew even more than I would've otherwise. And another moment knowing a few phrases from country near home came in handy.
I flicked through the information sign to record answers for the virtual, then when the kids of the group had moved, I checked out the sculpture. There are a lot of stories recorded here, and I was only happy to place my hands in the slots to feel the power of the place. Not wanting to cramp the family picnic too much, I moved along and thanked the folks for their kindness in my visit.
Just the drive out - confident the road was fine, I made good speed. Though upon exiting got a funny look from some lads in a 4WD getting ready to "tackle the dirt road" themselves, and I just rolled by with a little wave. This was an excellent stop. A lovely drive, an interesting interaction and a place of such peacefulness too. Thanks for showing me this place, handlel

I've been staying nearby for four weeks, and have explored pretty much every trail in the national park on my MTB - some awesome riding, with just one or two being overgrown with lantana.
I've come passed this intersection many times, but didn't ever stop. I came today in my car to have a go and trying to find the old cache up the hill, and finally took my photo here.

I was travelling south and decided to stop here. I'd passed this mountain a number of times and decided this was the day to turn off and head up it. I really enjoyed it up there. Lovely spot. Thanks for the virtual.
We went for a drive from Stuart’s Point where we are currently staying, to find two caches we hadn’t logged from previous visits to this area. Unfortunately we missed the first one, so decided to continue to the forest to complete the requirements for this virtual. Well, what an adventure that turned out to be!
If you’re not from this area you may have missed out on the news about the floods. Lots and lots of rain has fallen, from above Coffs Harbour to south of Sydney. The main road to Scotts Head was closed (as per usual), but as we had come along the coastal road from the south that wasn’t an issue. The challenges started when we turned off onto the road to the national park. We came through some washouts and across a bridge and a causeway that have both turned into very wet fords, and both have had some damage at both their entry points and exit points.
We have had a new cruiser since our last serious 4WDing adventures, so after 2 years of looking after it we decided today was the day to try it out. It was for this type of adventure we fitted the cruiser with a snorkel and had it lifted all round at the same time. We’re very glad to say it did us proud, and after engaging low 4 we negotiated the obstacles with no problems. The tow bar might have got a bit dirty, but the undercarriage came out nice and clean! We didn’t actually need the snorkel, but the lift and low4 were both a big help.
We finally got to GZ, had a look around, took a photo or two, and then slowly retraced our route down the mountain.
It was a great virtual, but we would like to suggest to other cachers that unless they have a 4 WD they leave it until the floods have subsided and the road has been repaired.

Dropped by on a detour after spending the weekend at SWR. Nice drive through the forest despite the road being a bit rough coming from the north. Better surface in the way to Grassy Head.

South West Rocks long weekend day 3 with Team Canary, and Everest High.
After an enjoyable morning paddle to collect the mangrove madness series near Stuarts Point, Everest High and myself were keen to visit this virtual. We weren't expecting a bumpy ride, but both our vehicles were appropriate for the job.
What an amazing spot!

An enjoyable forest drive to this lookout/picnic area. Glad to meet the Yarriabini Koala. TFTVC
We will take the adventure Camry just about anywhere but we had to bail today about half way to the lookout due to the road condition. This was doubly disappointing after reinforcing the bridge with some rocks so we could get across the creek. On the upside the kids had a ball.
This trip we are attempting to do as many Virtual caches as we can. They are pretty rare and we were most pleased to see that there will be a 3.0 release. Our fingers are all crossed we get one. This Virtual cache it a brilliant example of what can be done with this type of cache. Beautiful Place, Check! Fantastic story, Check! Interesting requirements, Check! Another Favorite Point, Check!! Thank you handlel for bring us to this gorgeous place and helping us understand the local culture. Thank you for such a great Virtual cache.
On my way to Wangaratta mega and it is a slow drive down as I am stopping at many of the unusual and interesting places. My trip down is mainly centered around the older caches and ones for challenges or d/t grids.
As I don’t have many virtual caches this one was of interest. I am so glad I drove here, what a great drive in and an amazing area, definitely worth the trip, thank you. I opted for the first option of this cache, I was not empowered but I did get a smile while I marveled at the construction and the detail portrayed in it. A great virtual and a worthy favourite point from me, thanks.

While staying at Scotts Head for a couple of days, we took advantage of having beautiful weather to get out and about and see some of the coastline and the forest.
This virtual has been placed to highlight a wonderful forest and some great indigenous culture and Dreamtime.
We visited today with OlMaLol, and enjoyed reading the nearby plaques.
Thanks handlel! Photo attached.

We were out to break some of our records today after being stuck at home for over two months, so Tamban it was. After a quick breakfast in the Maccas carpark we hit the road before 8, grabbing a few extras on the way, then 60 in the forest.
We popped over to Stuarts Point for a rest, and Samuel hatched the plan for this virtual, so in we drove. Crossing causeway after causeway, we did pay attention to the storm clouds forming, and dropping air temperature, bit pushed on. Nice spot - we have the required photos - thanks for placing this.....

Found today after just finishing the Tamban Trail and also the BH Fruit and Nut Trail, needed to get some extra caches to beat our previous record of 65, so we drove around and got our grand total of the day up to 73!

What a glorious sunny winters day, beautiful day to go geocaching. I took a friend with me for the drive and we both enjoyed the drive, views, creek crossings and we even went to the Yarriabini Lookout to enjoy the spectacular views up there.
Found on 03.05.21 with Tashy and Bec. Back in the area again now and remembered to log it. Love the savage Dreamtime story! Told it to the school kids on camp, and they enjoyed learning about it, thanks
What a great picnic area, story and views! Miss 7 came to check out the great mosaic art and ‘feel the power’ TFTC
This location was incredible!! So glad we made the decision to detour off the highway to make the journey across some little creek crossings in the 4WD. I’ll be back with a picnic next time to experience this highlight of a girls weekend again. Leaving a fave point for the location.
Heading north towards home after our not so slim dusty caching weekend.
A sensational spot. So glad we took the time to come here.
Thanks handlel for bringing us here.

Offered a spare seat on a roadtrip with The Rats and Wilbert67 to the Dayboro Mega, jumped at the chance to accept, and together with Steeba (who flew up), we joined forces to become “the Gong Gang” over the Easter weekend. Aside from the rain and threats of last minute border restrictions, it turned into 2500km of fun, finds and adventures. Thanks to the Gang for the invite, company and shared solves/searches and all the COs for the smiley opportunities. Apologies for the generic log (unless further comments required) but we got through a LOT!! Answers sent to CO with photo uploaded to log
Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Three:
The third day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Up bright and early in Port Macquarie, we didn't get any caches here the night before so spent a small amount of time getting some interesting ones in the area before heading north. We were due to stay the night in Casino, NSW, our last night before heading over the border!
A long day today, our first and last cache finds were exactly 12 hours apart! Some of which was in pouring rain, but a great day!

What a top experience! This is the kind of location that virtual caches are made for, just fantastic
We had a lovely drive into this area, some heavy rain the days prior to our visit meant there were two low crossing that had water over them, but neither were more than approx ankle deep so driving across was no problem even in a low 2WD. We finally got to GZ and were greeted with a lovely picnic area, had the place totally to ourselves! So we got out the esky and decided to have lunch here in the serenity, whilst logging this cache.
A favourite point from me, this is the perfect use of a virtual cache, in a location you can't hide a traditional! Well done and many thanks

What a rather secluded little place. Driving in slowly enjoying the views of the forest and ever changing little biomes. Deciding that this would be an ideal spot for lunch and give lunch to all the local mozzies. Eitherway had a fantastic time exploring this little area, thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

Found this cache as part of our Easter long-weekend road trip to the Dayboro mega event. A great adventure and plenty of finds, teamed up with Wilbert, Mizmaz and steeba for this roadtrip.
Many of our logs are signed with "Gong gang" to represent all four of us who were present. Apologise for the boiler style log.
Thanks for the cache.

After a few hrs of driving last night after work we ended up just south of Newcastle for a quick overnight camp. Up early for our big drive north to Queensland today. Found a few caches and labs on the way, but mostly driving.

I found lots of caches on a roadtrip holiday up to Byron Bay. Over the course of the week, I targeted a variety of caches that worked towards different statistic-based goals. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their contributions to this fantastic recreational activity.
Collected the required information and sent my answers off to the CO. This was a nice Virtual experience. Thanks!

Saturday. NyssaFlutterby and myself arrived at this location after a bit of a bumpy trip. Funniest thing happened on the road to this spot. After thinking we were on the wrong road, we doubled back, but then realised we were on the right track, then when we were almost at GZ, I looked into the rear mirror only to see a cyclist right up my clacker! Wow, not sure where this fellow came from, but he was fast. When we got out of the car and started to walk to the monument, the cyclist came up to me and we laughed. I said to him he must have been peddling to keep up and then I saw he had a small motor attached to his bike. He must have still done some hard work as he was red in the face. He was cycling around the roads in this area.
After we admired the area and took Option 1 to claim our smiley, the mozzies found us (yet again) and they were pretty bad, so we had to hop skip and jump to the car to escape them. I know we helped the mozzie population in NSW, both by transporting them in the back of the car (Nyssa said at one point the back of the car was full of them [xx(]) and by giving them all our blood. Loved this area though and the great effort taken to place tables and lovely little cleared area for a picnic. The monument was fantastic and lots of work went into it. Well worth a visit here. We headed off after here to detour on the nearby road to collect another cache and also to take in the most wonderful views.
This was the 8th of 24 caches found on this outing.
Thanks **handlel** for bringing us here

Heading south with Mrs Slow Puncture picking up a cache or two along the way. This was the next on our list, it’s always great to find something a bit different.
The drive into GZ was glorious, plenty of beautiful big green trees and lush rainforest next to the creek. As we were travelling down the road a fellow on an electric bike appeared from nowhere. He gave us a bit of a surprise. What a great place to go for a ride.
We arrived where we needed to be and took the required photo. The mozzies were pretty nasty so we didn’t stop for long.
Thanks for the smiley handlel
Happy to part with a FP for this cache.

What a lovely spot to get to. Thanks for placing a cache to come and find!! Found this cache earlier in the year with FourtheFun but had to bring WrightatHolm to find it.
Our daughter, of the Geelong Cats family, took us for a drive up this mountain on our holidays to AU. What a great surprise to find the lovely picnic spot and wonderfully preserved native history and art work! SL TFT virtual cache. Our answers have been sent to the CO with gratitude for opening up the view and experience here!
Yesterday I departed Brisbane on my way south to spend Christmas with some relatives in Vincentia, NSW. I had allowed myself a few days of relaxed travel, which gave me plenty of time to do some caching along the way. Having camped in my car in Coffs Harbour overnight, I was up at daybreak to continue the journey south, pausing for a stop at this cache.
Despite my detailed trip planning and to-do list preparation, somehow this cache failed to make it to my final spreadsheet printout (oh I do love a spreadsheet ). It was only earlier in the day that I had remembered viewing the cache page for another virtual cache in the area. A check check of the app an sure enough this cache was the one I had remembered. Luckily for me I had not yet passed the area so I was able to slot this into my itinerary, particularly as one of my aims for this trip was to visit as many virtual caches as possible.
I had visited another virtual cache located in a forested area earlier this morning and had been extremely nervous about driving into the bush with the high fire danger around the state. I was somewhat more relaxed driving in here for some reason even though it was a much hotter part of the day.
There was another muggle vehicle near GZ but they drove off soon after arrival, so I was able to enjoy the solitude of the area before seeking out the answers to the questions. After completing the tasks I decided to take a different route out after seeing another car heading down that way. TFTC

On a gloomy morning we decided to explore the wider region from Scotts Head, where we’ve been staying. We first explored Stuarts Point before deciding to head inland. The road was a bit dicey for the geoCRV but we made it up to the picnic area. After looking at the sculpture we went around the interesting forest walk. TFTVC

Another great day on our one-year tripp around Australia. We love to travel in this country and we love to look for geocaches. This geocache has again shown us a place that we might not have visited without geocache.
Thank you for the geocache !
Greetings from Switzerland.

We are so glad we did. This is such a beautiful place on a fantastic forestry drive.

My eldest geodaughter and I were on an impromptu road trip to this pretty place on the long weekend. How gorgeous is the scenery here? I had already decided to give the cache a favourite point before we stopped to admire the beautiful artwork. The road in was better than I expected and we arrived safely near gz after a few minutes, taking time to read the information board to understand the significance of this place. My daughter and I both took turns to "feel the power", making sure to take the required photographs. Thanks for bringing us here handlel, an easy favourite point from us
Great spot on our way south. Yes the GeoFalcon made it, Lovely and quiet when we got there but I can imagine it can be a noisy place when children come to visit. Great Artwork.

On my home fron the Queenbeyan mega, I detoured to this cache. I tried accesssing hte area from the south but i wasn't sure if my geomobile nor my driving skills were up to the task, so I headed in from the north. Such a lovely spot here. There were a few people about, but no one paid any attention as I wandered around the sculpture, taking photos. Thanks for bringing me to this interesting spot and TFTC
Beautiful place to visit and awesome artwork, well worth the drive up here.

With hatzofff and Snickersallan on our way to the Mega at Queanbeyan over Easter.
Day 1 from Brisbane to Kempsey, picking up a few caches in the Kempsey area before overnighting at our favorite Air BnB
This was our first cache of the day, and most impressive it was, too!
Easy drive in the Geo Falcon. We admired the tall, magnificent trees, the fabulous art work, and the fascinating story of the place as we read the notice board.
We took Option 1, but also 'filed' the Option 2 answers in our cache Personal Notes.

Found quite by accident. Was just going for a random drive to see where we ended up and I recognised the koala. We stopped and had a look around. Beautiful spot, thanks for the cache!
After a rainy start to the day we headed out later to find this cache. A very special location and a fav point alloc. Thankyou handlel for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area Photo to be attached shortly.
It's been a long time since I have been here.
The place was deserted so time for a coffee and enjoy the solitude.

This virtual was published about a week after I had been through here. There was no chance to get down here for the first to find so I decided to use it for one of the "spell the month" challenges. Even with the release of the new virtuals, they are still rather thin on the ground especially ones starting with handy letters but this one would slot nicely into the Spell January challenge so it was a must do on this trip.
Found my way to the entrance and trundled in through the forest up to the picnic area. What a lovely place!
I spent a bit of time looking at everything especially the artwork as there was so much detail on it. I took heaps of photos and have sent the log requirement ones to the CO with my answers so will post one of the area with my log as I can only post one photo from c:geo. Feeding the koala a favourite point for his story.

Saw there was a virtual cache near where we are staying for a few days. Headed up in the Wrangler with GeelongCats on the Grassy Head road. Enjoyed the drive up through the forest. Read the description while driving up. Was wondering what the source of the power would be as we were driving along. What a beautiful location and a perfect spot for a virtual cache! Congrats on being able to place one here for us to come find!
Certainly a lovely drive but it's got some dangerous holes and rocks for a small car. This is a beautiful little park and the artwork really is worth visiting. Mozzies are pretty viscious. Worth a return trip to explore more of the national park with the 4x4. Came here with genghicat on our way home after Christmas.
The family love road trips and this one was done a little while ago. We love travelling around our amazing country. This was a fantastic place to visit and the dreaming story was very interesting . Plenty of info to read here and the art was great to see. Thanks for bringing us here. Answers sent to the CO and pic attached.

We’re on a road trip down to Victoria from Brisbane and just had to stop for this one on our way to Port Macquarie. We timed it well, it was a perfect spot for a picnic lunch. I loved reading the story and the the sculpture was amazing. I like to think that the land knew I was visiting when I placed my hands in the handprints. Thank you for bringing us here, it was a great spot. TFTV handlel
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 10201.
On the way into this one I spotted one of the biggest snakes I have seen in a long time. Upon arrival I found one other group just about to depart and then I had the area to myself in silence. What an amazing location! I took option 1 and will upload an image with my log.
Thanks handlel for the cache.

We ventured up the 4WD track into Yarriabini National Park in the Landcruiser after visiting Stuart’s Point to the stunning Pines Picnic Area. What a truly amazing area, who would have known it was here except for geocaching? With our muggle parents living just north from here for over 30 years and not even knowing about this aboriginal spiritual artwork.
We enjoyed the serenity here as we collected the answers and took many photos.
Thanks handlel for bringing us to this magical location, a favourite point well deserved.

Thanks for bringing us to this great location. We had it all to ourselves.
We enjoyed the artwork, the information and the walk to the creek. There are some great old trees around. At the moment there is water only in the deepest sections of the creek.

What a lovely area to have a picnic lunch with Anissa288 and of course do the cache before it disappears.

What a really interesting location. The mosaics are really beautiful and well crafted. The information boards provided much needed information so that we could really appreciate this location.
Many thanks for showing us this by organizing the virtual here. We really enjoyed our visit and the drive to it as well. We signed the log Team JAD for JooJoo57, Aussie Liahona, and DiamonJs.
